This is a beautiful tourist attraction. The moose is huge and a great place to take some pictures. There is access to the beach which makes for a nice walk. My wife and I enjoyed watching the surfers. We were greeted by a few dogs which were playing on the beach. My wife was thrilled to see the dogs. A great place to go.

Located in the parking lot of an access to the rocky shoreline, it is a fiberglass creation. It is interesting to look at, but the real reason to go is the ocean lookoff and the shore.

This is a small park in a residential neighbourhood. It was very windy and raining a bit when we were here. We were driving around trying to kill time. The one redeeming quality of this park is that it will make you wonder if a moose is really as huge as the statue.

They have a small beach in back that seems to not be very busy, making it a nice hangout spot. However there's some really weird things afoot as you go down the path to the beach. There are building materials with half completed renovations everywhere. There is also passive-agressive signage strewn about. I believe the property technically belongs to a private owner but that they were perhaps forced to make a path down to the beach. I don't know what's going on between them, the city, and perhaps a few of the visitors to that spot. If you look past the drama though, quaint little spot :)

Really it is a moose and a view. Not much else but Dad used to take me here as a kid. There is a beach with limited access to walk down to and good parking for that but our December visit was a bit cold for that.

I use to frolic here as a child some 50 odd years ago, back when there was sand. It was one of the closest beaches for my sister and I who grew up in the north end of the city. I have very fond memories of the moose and the beach, especially now that my sister has passed. A place very vunerable to the Atlantic Ocean, susceptible to storm surges and powerful surf. Mesmerizing especially after a nor'easter! A place of solace for me.

Small park in Cow Bay, overlooking Silver Sands Beach Provincial Park. The moose statue is very well done. A popular surf spot among the locals. A nice spot to stand at the edge of the cliff and watch the surfers ride the waves below.

Great place to watch the waves and beach comb. Probably not best suited for those unsteady on their feet or requiring mobility aids. Very rocky, wear water shoes if you plan to go in the water.
