???? Good ol time ????
Nice quirky place in Yarmouth nice walks with ocean views
Beautiful lighthouse and surrounding grounds. Great trails and delicious food too!
Peggy's Cove is not the only picturesque lighthouse on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Cape Forchu also had a small restaurant (licensed) with good food.
Great place for a walk, picnic, siteseeing and not to mention the set location to the upcoming movie The Lighthouse (2019) Directed by Robert Eggars and starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dufoe. Unfortunately the movie set is long gone but still a wonderful place for tourists. Maybe even better then Peggy’s Cove?
Great scenery and pleasant walk.
An interpretative trail leads you around the headland. You will learn about the history and ecology of the area. Several tide pools to look at. The exposed rock was formed by volcanic ash, then later tilted to vertical. You can visit this site at any tide, high or low. Also has free WiFi.
Pretty unique light house. If you are in the area definitely stop by to have a look.
I'm not much for museums, but it's a great spot for a picnic and a walk-about, or kayak excursion if you have one.
There were 2 drunk guys staying at the lighthouse, one of them resembled Robert Pattinson and the other looked like William Dafoe, and it looked like they were slowly going insane from being together alone for a long time. The seagulls are scary (and the wildlife in general) but a breathtaking view would recommend coming here, just don't stay for a long time.
It's ok. The paths are fairly short, and the views are OK.
Beautiful Lighthouse, walk, and parking. A real treat at sunset or a nice afternoon.
Super windy, great trails..
Pretty cool but when we were there it was extremely foggy.
Great spot for tourists and locals alike.
This is a beautiful place to visit! Mesmerizing ocean and lighthouse ???? If you have watched the movie, go visit and climb the lighthouse (the real one, not the one made for the movie)! If you love geology, it’s also for you as you will love to look at those incredible volcanic rocks! There is also a place to buy snacks and drinks. Visit and stay in Yarmouth while you are there :)
It's a very steep climb but they do have a shuttle for those who can't do it. Stunning view.
Pretty great experience. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Yarmouth. Great view from up top, but having to wear a mask up there really detracted from the experience. It was super hot up there, even on a fairly mild day and the mask made it difficult.
Beautiful. A must see. The drive alone is worth it.
I love the views it's so pretty you could walk really far and it's absolutely beautiful
So beautiful. Great spot to take photos.
After watching the Lighthouse, I was very curious about it.
The walking trails are easy and lovely views!
What a beautiful spot to visit!
Always a beautiful spot to visit. Glad it's so close to home. Me and my partner always try to go here during sunset or just after a bad storm if we are in the area. I urge everyone to make even a small visit here. It is worth it.
If you are in Yarmouth aera this is a must... I was there on a nasty stormy day and the place manage to be spectacular...
Beautiful place!
Amazing place and view. Too bad there was no coffee shop open. For October there was still decent traffic.
A rugged and raw nature view to the wide open Atlantic Ocean. Ever much as beautiful as Peggy's Cove. Hilly places to climb and a great spot to whale( or shark) watch.
Great views and friendly staff
Visiting this museum was still undergoing updating, but to view my own family's history was such a beautiful experience. My grandmother's elementary school photo, my great grandfather constructing fishing nets and much more. Truly a beautiful place.
Spectacular views. A must see. Lots of free parking.
Great tour to the top of the lighthouse, helpful, knowledgable staff!
One the best place at Yearmoth. Many spots for taking great pictures.
Stunning place to go. Easy walk, lots to see. I highly recommend visiting this gorgeous spot.
Awesome views all the time!
Incredible scenery, but this historic site needs some attention from the government. No public bathrooms and the buildings need repair. Nobody on site to explain anything.
Great place to go for a short walk and see the lighthouse
Nice cafe and had good lunch while eating on patio covered with beautiful views. Welcoming of our dog invade ad small museum gift shop.
Absolutely stunning. Great trails and really accessible with the stroller.
Cape Forchu is a beautiful, well maintained lighthouse with parking, a walking trail and gorgeous views. Big plans are in the works for additional amenities, food service and work to the light itself to allow visitors to climb to the top.
Definitely worth a visit at least for the view u get from the top. What a lovely place.
As the second-most photographed lighthouse in NS, this lighthouse certainly ranks first in terms of its historic archives and interesting history! Quite impressed!
Beautiful drive, sandy beaches, very scenic, very Nova Scotia...
Easy drive from Yarmouth. Nice scenic walk around the lighthouse. We didn’t go up the lighthouse itself because it costs money and you also have to wear masks.
Very tasty restaurant. Must have the lobster chowder. There is a quiet nook where fewer tourists gather to eat and you get to have a private ocean view. Keeping that a secret though.
Very nice place.
Such a beautiful place to visit. A lot of great history posted around the trail as well.
Well worth visiting. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. The walking trail was enjoyable and the view from the rocks was spectacular.
Beautiful spot and great views!
The lighthouse is beautiful. The history of the lighthouse is a beautiful story. The climb is fun. The view at the top is breathe taking. It's so worth the money to do the climb. The view is beautiful.
You can walk around and climb around on the rocks. Sadly the yeah house was closed (mid sept). Beautiful landscape. Good parking and photo ops
This is a must see location if you're in the Yarmouth area!!!
Not a good day for sightseeing. Foggy. But, still a great place to visit. In a boat ????, on a day like this! ???????? Not me!!! Thank you!
The drive to Cape Forchu Lightstation is wonderful on a sunny summers day. The lighthouse and displays are great. It was too bad the museum opened so late in the morning, and we couldn't stay.
Absolutely Beautiful! The bluest ocean, like I have only seen in pictures. Short hiking areas with beautiful vistas.
Absolutely a must-stop for anyone visiting Nova Scotia
What a great photo opportunity. We didn’t catch it on the most beautiful day, but our photos and videos turned out great. Highly recommend this as your stop along the west side and the bay of fundy, in Yarmouth.
Postcard landmark. It's a must see while in the area. The weather changed about half a dozen times in the two hours we spent there, ranging from 26°C and sunny to 15°C and fog.
This was the best lighthouse I've ever been to! The rocks were amazing to climb on, and everywhere you look was a gorgeous photo. We went during an insane fog. I would like to go back when it was clear.
Beautiful views and a nice, easy walking trail. Great fun climbing & exploring the rocks, too!
The museum is very small but the trail is beautiful and has a nice view.
They are doing some renovations to the main building but it is looking good. Plus there is a fog horn room where you can see how the lights work and hear the horn.
What a great surprise! Definitely worthy of a trip to Yarmouth. I would go back tomorrow.
The drive is more fun then the lighthouse but when you are doing the drive you might as well take a break there.
Great service and Views
Awesome views and very peaceful !!!! Definitely go back again
What a beautiful day to visit Cape Forchu. Partly cloudy and a lot of wind. Perfect to make some stunning pictures.
Reminds me of exactly what you picture when someone says “The Maritimes”. Even the drive out there was an adventure. Pick a nice day and go take a nice drive and then walk the property to see it all.
Narrow lighthouse with separate house, that now includes a cafe. Short walk behind includes exquisite views and lots of learning about the tides and the history of the site.
Well worth a visit if you enjoy lighthouses and scenic shores. Leif Ericson Trail is great as well
One of Nova Scotia's most beautiful light house's with one of the best views you'll find anywhere love this place
As far as a tourist attraction goes, the lighthouse is excellent! I would recommend adding additional lighting along the trails.
Nice at sunset
This Lighthouse is hands-down one of the best that I have ever been to. It is so park like and has so much to offer I don't understand why anyone would want to go to Peggy's Cove instead of here. I regularly Drive 45 minutes just to be there
Beautiful drive and amazing view!
Beautiful landscape and the most original lighthouse from all the lighthouses on the Nova Scotia route.
Stunning views.
Beautiful location with interesting history.
Caroline and I were motorcycle camping our way about Nova Scotia, and it was her first visit, and COVID meant that the parking lot was near empty so we took full advantage and explored the rock formations and the whale skeleton with only a few other visitors. We never went inside the lighthouse, but were certainly not disappointed by the beauty of it's surroundings.
Most awesome place I have ever seen. And I have seen some places.
Would be nice if there was more trails to walk, but it's cool nonetheless!
Great views but bring a warm coat can be a bit windy.
Scenic drive. Gorgeous views. Worth going
Interesting design. Lots of wind, makes it much colder than Yarmouth town. Nice views
This might have been one of my favorite meals in NS. The grilled lobster and cheese sandwhich was amazing. Their ice cream is also exceptional. The view of the lighthouse, the short hiking trail, the gift shop....everything made this place top notch.
You can walk there area free of charge. The lighthouse climb costs twelve bucks per person. We passed on that part. Beautiful area.
Visit Keeper's Kitchen while at Cape Forchu Lighthouse. They have the most wonderful food! I recommend the the hot lobster role and salad or their hearty chicken noodle soup! Both incredibly good. Keepers Kitchen is a "Foodies" delight!
It's heckin wimdy . . . Low tide, but great to see all the same!
Beautiful views and it feels like it's the end of Canada!! Which it is!! :)
Amazing views and a good short walk
Great food. Beautiful scenery. Nicest lighthouse in Nova Scotia.
Remind me to visit again in August and not in November.
We enjoyed out visit here despite the thick fog. The history of the lighthouse and the families that took care of it was very interesting. The views from the place would be amazing on a clear day. The gift shop had some cute things. There is also a restaurant on site. We didnt try it, but the smells coming from within were wonderful.
Nice spot, good trail, lots of history
Great views, up close to the lighthouse and no crowds! Good lunch at the cafe as well.
Cape Forchu Light is a remarkable place. Whilst in yarmouth make sure you visit this lighthouse you won't regret it. Located at the entrance to Yarmouth Harbour, it includes a nature walk, spectacular views of the gulf of Maine and the Tusket Islands. Hungry well there is a great restaurant and shop. The ride out to the lighthouse is spectacular and you go by two real nice beaches. A must do. ????
Cape Forchu is one of the most beautiful places in Atlantic Canada. The lighthouse itself is unique, the scenery is amazing, and the information cards dotting the trail pull the reader in with history and mysteries. The whale bones are cool too!
Tour was short and not very exciting, but it was very modestly priced
Georgeous view!
Amazing site and worth the drive
Very picturesque.
Edward Cullen was here, may the angels protect this land for the rest of eternity. -From Leah and Jocelyn
Worth the little drive from Yarmouth to visit the lighthouse, have some delicious chowder and enjoy the view.
Such a beautiful spot to visit
Amazingly scenic with a great little trail to the coast. Didn't sample the food in the attached diner but it actually smelled delicious.
I think I can see England! Beautiful spot. Was very windy when we were here!
A must visit place if you are in Yarmouth. A lot of trails from here. Keep in mind that there are not many parking lots available.
Amazing place, especialy at sun rise
Very scenic but lacks parking And shop never seems to be open
A must see Historical site.
Very cool local geology. Great food and very interesting museum. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Stunning.
As a destination this is a must visit place, especially if there is no fog.
It was raining we will go back
This is a beautiful spot for a quiet picnic and a shoreline stroll
Nice views from the lighthouse hill!!
The lighthouse was closed down for the season. But you can walk around the grounds which were beautiful. It was a little bit of a stormy day, so the waves were awesome! Spent an hour just watching the waves.
Stunning sunsets!
Absolutely gorgeous at sunset and lots of history there to learn about
Very nice view and Fun little trail for all the family
Fascinating view, was spectacular sunset .
Nice paths around the lighthouse with good information about the area! Enjoyed!
A unique lighthouse, rebuilt to replace the original wooden one, to withstand that strong winds and ocean exposure.
Beautiful location. We enjoy beachcombing nearby
Beautiful location of the most beautiful sunsets on the south west coast.
Great excursion to this lighthouse at the east end of NS. Next time will book to walk the stairs to the top of the lighthouse.
The lighthouse area has a lovely walking path (with excellent informational signs along the trail) and you get sweeping views of the coast and ocean. But our favorite part was the cafe - had one of my top ever lobster rolls (the bun was incredible - found out it's baked locally) and comes with a bag of covered bridge potato chips - to make a perfect lunch! My wife had BLT and loved it too! The ladies who worked there were top notch - super friendly and happy to tell me about good restaurants to try in Yarmouth (Rudders was top recommendation - awesome place). We really loved our visit and even the gift shop has some cool items! Highly recommend checking out (apparently too they shot some parts of the film The Lighthouse here - the one with Robert Pattinson - cool!)
Great facilities, food, places for kids to run. The view is spectacular and friendly people.
Great place to experience nova scotia seascape up close!
Wonderful place for a stroll by the ocean and even have a meal at the keeper's kitchen. There's even a whale's bones!
Great spot to visit, they also have a nice walking trail, when we went they were doing construction to the gift shop. It’s a nice little drive and the view is great.
Such a wonderful place by the sea. We didn't have an opportunity to go up but it looks like a lot of stairs. Even a small restaurant and ice cream.
Beautiful walk and information signs were interesting.
We visited Cape Forchu on a beautiful day, it was highly enjoyable and the view was spectacular. Quick jaunt around the Leif Ericson trail that runs about 350 metres was a nice addition as well. The lighthouse itself is a very unique, "apple core" design. If you would like to climb the lighthouse that is less than 6 feet in diameter, it is recommended that you pre-book your tour and sturdy backed shoes are a must. Beautiful spot to visit and a must if you are embarking on Yarmouth!
Day or night great place to visit
The view is spectacular! First trip to Yarmouth Nova Scotia !
Great veiws on a clear day. Nice tea house in season.
Beautiful view. A must see if visiting.
Beautiful scenery and a great walking path with points of interest pointing out landmarks. A small gift shop and restaurant for light fare.
Beautiful place. Great views and free!!!
Very scenic with beautiful views. The museum is very small, but has a couple interesting pieces.
A unique designed lighthouse which is different from other ones in the province. There is a trail system for unique photo ops. Lots of interpretive plaques as well.
MUST see attraction. The rocky layout is beautiful. At the light keepers house there is a restaurant. You HAVE to have the seafood chowder and a Brownie. IF YOU LIKED THE REVIEW, PLEASE, GIVE IT A LIKE. THANKS PEEPS!
This is a must stop when you are in the Yarmouth area! Loved the lighthouse and interpretive trails that are around. Will be back. Kid and dog friendly.
How long have we been on this rock? 5 weeks? 2 days? Help me to recollect
Lovely walk. Interesting history
Beautiful cant say anything else
Very nice place lots of information
Headed to yarmouth to scope it out for a school there. Wonderful friendly people.
Fun place to explore. Few short trails to walk and some nice look out points with beautiful views. Some medium size areas for kids to run and play in. Nice place to visit time to time.
Great view too bad we weren't able to go to top of lighthouse. Because we were to late the day we were there. Nice road out to lighthouse
Beautiful place to visit and walk, surrounded by wild roses, fragrance in the summer is amazing
Very clean environment and was beautiful to look out at the waves
This place is awesome even though it was a little chilly.. We still had a great time...
Windows should be lower for views perhaps higher table and chairs
Beautiful ❤️
Enjoyed the spectacular location and the snippets of history and natural history on the boards along the short ½ mile trail. Don't miss this if you are in the vicinity.
Such a gem. Wow I can't wait to come back in the summer and also enjoy the awesome beach close by. This place is wonderful
Stunning sunset views.
Groomed and accessible walks across a rocky cliff. For the reasonably adventurous, there's good vistas and interesting rock formations, quite safe and pretty.
Kids really enjoyed looking at all the cool rocks along the shoreline. The hike was super short, only 800m, so it was entirely suitable for younger kids. Beautiful views in all directions.
Beautiful visit. Unfortunately local politics have forced the Friends of the Light to move the historic artifacts from the lighthouse to a venue in the waterfront, which is also well worth the visit.
Fun spot with a nice short interpretive trail
Great scenery
Nice place to walk, nice views and will go back when the restaurant is open
Very unique location guarding Yarmouth harbour. Well signed explanatory plaques. Probably would have given it 5 stars except the little bar had just closed so I couldn't try a cold beer.
Quality lighthouse, top quality staff
Beautiful spot. Lovely trails. Clean facilities. Amazing waves...???? Friendly staff.????
Beautiful spot. A must visit for a beautiful walk.
Beautiful place to visit, will definitely be going back! Has some lovely views and the sunsets are amazing
It's freaking awesome.
Very nice location. You have to drive on a narrow road to reach the lighthouse, there is water on both sides of the road. There is a small walking trail next to the lighthouse where you can have beautiful views. The lighthouse os located on a small hill. Scenic view from there.
The history of this place is amazing. I loved how there were so many different informational stand everywhere telling the story and significance of the lighthouse. There is also a small restaurant inside the lighthouse, which is perfect for a little bite to eat. This place is a little out of the way (literally at the end of the road) but definitely worth the trip out to see the beautiful area.
Originally built in 1840 and reconstructed in 1962. It features a very rich view of the coast and open ocean, certain parts can be dangerous during storms because of tidal surges (want to come back to see!) There's a walkway around the Cape featuring skeletal remains of a whale, tidal pools and casual climbing. The Lighthouse movie was flimed here.
Was a great place, nice and clean with beautiful sights to see.
It was beautiful. Loved hearing the waves hit the rock. The rocky landscape is amazing.
Lovely place. The girls in the gift shop where friendly and very informative.
It was fun. It was really foggy so it made for some great ghost stories and we had a lot of laughs getting our kids going
This is a special place with an iconic lighthouse, walking trails and ocean vistas. It is well worth the drive.
Cool light house...don't visit in the early morning because the fog is so dense.
Beautiful stunning a must see!!!
Love this lighthouse! If you can make the trip up from Halifax then it is quite worth it! Climbing on the rocks and walking the trail is quite relaxing! Such a wonderful lighthouse!
awesome place, great scenery and the lighthouse is in great condition would definitely visit again
Beautiful views here, have your camera ready.
Great views, store and nice benches for relaxing
Loved the view nice place.
Very pretty. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the view.
C 6m of my favourite places to visit, of course I may be considered somewhat as influenced as this is my home town area.
This place was very interesting. Well worth while to visit and explore. Also found a couple of geocaches as well.
My sister and I had a great time! They offered free shuttle around the lighthouse, which was very appreciated. The staff was fantastic and very informative. Very impressed and will definitely be back!
Great location!
Well designed museum, good signage, informative site, and I love the hand knit socks from the gift shop.
Lovely spot! Beautiful views
Wonderful and picturesque. Spent two hours hiking around.
It a must see. It's pretty incredible!!!!
My home town and perfect tourist attractions
Wonderful scenery and periodic pieces. Tje drive to Forchu is very interesting
Well worth the drive. Road from Yarmouth is narrow and curvy. Parking available. Informative signage about the history of the lighthouse is scattered throughout the grounds. Walking trail. Cafe and giftshop available.
Unfortunately foggy Day so didn't get to enjoy the views. Onsite restaurant public bathrooms. Walking trails. You need to pre-book the light house tour.
Everything you'd hope to experience. Only negative the wonderful café in the summer should be open all year or at least on the weekends. It would make me go there more often.
Great spot wish it was better weather so we could of climbed the lighthouse opening day!
Nice views and very calm when I visited. Not many people. Has an amazing hot lobster sandwich when I was here. Try it if you come.
Nice trail near house. Good view if not foggy.
This lighthouse and surrounding have a different feel than many other. Worth a visit.
Great views and little museum. Has a nice cafe on site with good food.
Not much to see, interesting location though
A spectacular spot with terrific views. The information was excellent and very informative. If you’re using Google maps to get there, don’t stop where the directions say. Keep going until you reach the end of the road.
Potential to be a nice tourist visit. Not sure why the need necessity to book lighthouse tour online. No one in lighthouse and we were unable to go up, lost out in close to $40 of revenue and only open for part of the week
Enjoyed taking time to learn about the plants you can found around.
Great place lot of amazing views, an amazing but short walking trail, and good attractions. Overall a great experience and a great place to find pokemon
Beautiful place with breathtaking views and rocks!
Definitely worth a visit. Spectacular drive out there. Don't miss the cafe. Excellent baking.
The museum want open (May) but the lighthouse stands proud and historic. Quite the unique apple core design and lovely view.
Very nice spot, alot nicer then Peggy's Cove. There were alot of folks visiting from other Provinces. Nice trail, nice light house. You can tour the inside of the light house. It was closed when I got there in the evening. They had a skeleton of a large marine animal on the location.
Great view, through in an ice cold local beer and you've got the best place around to watch the sunset.
Do not go early in the morning ....wait for the fog to lift to get great views.
So nice . The weather was great. Lots to see. Love being with family
Beautiful place to watch the sun set !
Nice place to watch sunset. Takes about 15 minutes to drive from downtown Yarmouth. Seemed to be plenty of parking for the number of people there. Take a walk out along the rocks past the light. Not too difficult to rock hop. Gift shop and restaurant open 9-5.
Great view and walking trail. Big chair for photo opportunity was fun.
We visited late on a rainy day but still beautiful. Will definitely return to enjoy the views on a sunny day.
Interesting historical facts, great coffee shop with delicious home baked scones, cookies and oat cakes
So beautiful at any time of the year. We always stop to visit when we are in Yarmouth.
Great spot to walk.
We initially weren't going to make the drive out to see the lighthouse but woke up early and decided to try to see the sunrise. It was totally worth it. This is such a special and beautiful place and ended up being one of our favourite stops while we were in Nova Scotia
Beautiful lighthouse, and although the museum was closed by the time I arrived, there were still lots of things to learn from signs on the trails and plaques. It's a worthwhile drive and the history is interesting.
Great little walking trails and great views
It's an interesting design for a lighthouse, located in a beautiful area. They have a nice little gift shop. Unfortunately it was very foggy when we visited and you couldn't see very far.
Took the tour of the light, and was pleasantly surprised by the trivia the tour guide offered! The climb was easily manageable, and breaks are offered should you need them. The view from the top is weather dependant, but impressive regardless.
A less crowded "Peggy's Cove". Worth the visit. 14 people (two families) lived in the care taker's home. Nice walk along the coast.
This is a great place and so peaceful to visit.
Breathtaking views and great trails. Not too busy in October
Beautiful spot and also has a short walking trail.
it was very cool and I can't believe that I have never been here before...we will definitely go again next summer
Very nice walk with interesting historical information along the path. Easy to navigate the rose lined pathway. The waves crashing onto the rocks on the back side of the lighthouse was awe inspiring.
Cape Forchu Lighthouse is a must visit if you’re around the Yarmouth area. The structure of the lighthouse is very unique and there are multiple places where you can take picturesque photos. There are multiple self-guided walking trails, a restaurant, and a gift shop. It might get pretty windy there, so bring a light jacket if you get cold easily. There are multiple sharp turns on the way there and a few narrow paths, so drive slowly, and enjoy the scenery.
It is a magic place. Cool fresh air, large rocks that look like dinasores, well kept grounds with ice flowers, nice professioal staff and great food.
Good views, great beaches on the way up to the lighthouse, and great walking trail
Beautiful, peaceful , relaxing place with great memories
Really cool place. Lots to see with great photo opportunities. Really enjoyed our time there even though we were fogged out. Can't wait to go back on a clear day.
Steeped in history. Nice small gift shop, would be nicer to have a larger cafe.
Beautiful site and walking trails. We arrived after closing time so cannot speak to the museum part.
Being born and raised in the Yarmouth area. Surprise Visiting my family in my hometown and experiencing this lighthouse climb with my siblings was beyond outstanding. They were very professional as our tour guide Hannah was amazing and was so informative. This is a must do bucket list for anyone that is looking to enjoy the beauty of Yarmouth. Thank you for all you hard work to making this experience a reality.
Appropriately, it was foggy the day we were visiting the lighthouse but we loved the walk on the trails out to the water. Will be back when the sun is out. Yummy food at the cafe as well.
Beautiful!! It was a bit cold at this time of year but still just as beautiful.
Definitely a must see if you are in the Yarmouth area, the view is spectacular.
Very well done and lots to see. Very informative. A well thought out atteaction that is scenic snd very interesting.
I love lighthouses and have never seen one shaped like this. It would have been great to climb to the light. It was a beautiful day and we were pleased that they offered a golf cart service up the steep hill. Was sad to hear that folks have been washed out to sea while climbing on the rocks. Lovely spot but you have to respect Mother Nature!
Beautiful historical lighthouse.
Beautiful place and very informative about the area. Peaceful and relaxing.
My favourite lighthouse in NS.
We didn't get inside of the building and only walked outside. The views were good, not amazing. The parking is very limited. I don't regret going but not something worth doing twice.
Beautiful spot. Nice little walk.
Beautiful....quite....walk the trails
Loved the experience....our tour guide Hannah was a sweet young lady who gave a lovely talk and then took us to the top....had loads of patience with us and was able to answer our questions.....would highly recommend this adventure to anyone
Cape Forchu Lighthouse is amazing tourist attraction. It has also a beautiful public park and a photogenic rocky beach.
Typically beautiful NS scenery! A great fellow in the museum that was very helpful. Ps: there are washrooms inside the building but obviously they are only available when it is open. I will go back again I am sure. Awesome history and artifacts, I would recommend stopping to anyone traveling in the area.
Beautiful view. Well kept.
Nice place for a walk and new this year you can book to climb the light house which I enjoyed but at the same time was not what I expected and could been better we were early and had to Chace around to find the people suppose to give us a tour they were 15 mins late for a already paid for experience which to me was a waste of time and when I asked if we could go on the golf carts that were driving around and said free ride that my son would love that after the climb up the lighthouse we were ignored and asked if we lived around here and told to go to the museum which they were just looking looking more money from donations I only enjoy waling this place never again will I pay to climb a lighthouse that I've grown up seeing thought it was free at first waste of money
