Here you have the feddbacks of real people who buy the products of Cape Breton Highlands National Park (Tourist Attraction) near Nova Scotia (Canada).
Now this business gets a score of 4.8 out of 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is practically the best, and it is founded on a very large number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction is classified in the category of National park.
Very scenic route and the roads are well maintained. Lots of construction around the skyline trail area. I stayed in ingonish beach and highly recommend. Cheticamp area is nice for walking on the ocean floor. It is the cleanest beach i have ever seen.
Amazing views and really friendly and knowledgeable park staff along the way!
Although I did not do any overnight camping or any hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands Park, we did drive through it while we were discovering the Cabot trail. We also stopped in at a park ranger station and got some great service from a young woman on Friday evening. The ranger station had a gift shop and lots of information about the park in the animals, it had a clean bathroom and the employee was very good for us in recommending a hotel and then even calling them for us because my traveling partner is heart of hearing and has a hard time talking to people on the phone. Traveling through the park was amazing. We were cautioned to watch out for moose as well as deer and possibly bears. We didn't see any of those animals, but the signage was good. It was a beautiful drive with tons of trees and amazing rock formations and scenic vistas and snow even at the very end of May and little waterfalls.. It was just wonderful. There were scenic pull-offs that you could stop to park your car to take an amazing view. And there was lots of information written on plaques both historic information and information about wildlife which was very interesting to read. I do hope to return some time to do some camping in the park or take more time to hike the many trails
Summer 2021 trip.. my first trip in Canada.. best trip I ever had
One of my best road trips. The views are amazing and just never ending. There are lots of amazing trails to choose from and the scenery is so unreal. Would go back and do all the other trails I didn’t have time for.
Fantastic. Spend at least 3 days or more if you can. Very good camping at a couple of main spots Ingonish and Cheticamp. Head off early to drive the Cabot trail and have little traffic
Absolutely STUNNING! please drive this trail. Spring, summer or fall, this trail is incredible. Lots of great views, as you can tell by the photos, friendly people, and tons of delicious food/locals arts along the way. Make this your next vacation.
You wont find more beautiful vistas anywhere in Canadas east coast than the Cabot Trail. Twisting roads, heights beyond 400 meters above sea level. A must see!
Spectacular drive with many breathtaking look offs. The fall colors are amazing
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Cabot Trail is simple breathtakingly beautiful and scary when you're in the mountains looking at the beautiful landscape. I would make that tour with a car next time instead of the RV. The national Highland Park are well kept, great service. Just beautiful!
Had a spare half of a day out of Port Hawkesbury in Autumn 2018, so I took a cruise around the Cabot Trail. What a lovely drive! I stopped in at the Ingonish Visitor Centre to pay the fee for day use (wanting to do a few of the short …
This is one of my all-time favourite places to visit. The camping here is incredible. The hiking amazing, and the views and geology stunning. There is so much to explore, I couldn’t cover it all in one review. Definitely check this place …
Grew up in and around this place for 56 years.. An endless array of natural beauty. A scenic drive on this earth, like non-other. Scenic historic walks, and walking trails. Lookoffs with breath taking views. Watch the wildlife, the eagles soar above, see whales and other marine life from the shoreline, or perhaps, from the front seat of your car. So much to do, so much to see. Don't wait, take the ride, take the time, and make this trip for you and your family. You will not be disappointed !!
Beautiful drive with a lot of hiking trails to see the scenery, wildlife and ocean views. Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures ❤️
Lots of lovely scenic spots to stop and take photos along the Cabot Trail. The park offers many programs, which we didn't partake in this time. Several beaches as well. We drove through the park in a couple of days staying at Blue Bayou for a few nights mid trip. We would like to go back and do more exploring of the park itself. We only had a chance to hike 1 trail while there. As with all Parks Canad sites, if you have children do the Xplorers program. It is included with entry and a great way for kids to learn and be engaged with the place they are visiting.
Great views around every corner. Most can be see from your vehicle. Just hope there is no fog.
Simply one of the most beautiful places in Canada.
Best hiking in Nova Scotia by far ! We'll groomed trails with plenty of information and guides. Highly recommended.
Had an amazing experience . This place is heaven on Earth incredible beaches awesome views. Some nice picturesque little towns. The driving is challenging but fun. I only spent a day here but if I could two weeks or a month would be better. The stops on the side of the roads for amazing views are so cool bring the kids or just the wife for a romantic drive. There's plenty of places to stop to eat along the way .
Beautiful. Absolutely stunning views. Buy your park pass if you intend on stopping at any of the trails or using washrooms or you are subject to a fine!!
It was a great experience! We would definitely go back and try other seasons. There's so much to see and do that you want more time to keep exploring. Even though it snowed a little the day before our trip and that it rained during some spots, it was a nice nature family getaway.
We traveled the Cabot Trail in one day. It really needs two, if you are a hiker. Take the "path" up to Meat Cove. The views are stunning! Pack a picnic lunch. Places were not open because we were before the official season (May 12-13). This is a must see for sure.
There are no words or pictures that can describe the vastness and beauty of Cape Breton. It was an amazing trip being able to see this natural beauty
Beautiful! Great hikes and views.
No provincial or federal park will get higher than a three star rating from me until they are open year round. No gates up, all roads and parking lots plowed, bathroom and garbage kept up.
Beautiful scenic coastal drive right up to Meat Cove. The fall colors make it even more special. Moose, eagles, seals all made it it perfect!! Skyline Trail a MUST!!
Gorgeous area with something for everyone - roadside lookouts, easy advanced hikes for hikers of various levels. Breathtaking views all around. Plenty of picnic, camping and bathroom areas as well as a few shops and restaurants. We saw lots of wildlife including numerous birds and a couple of moose!
Simply breathtaking. This review is in the context of five middle aged dudes biking the Cabot trail. The park is spectacular and is the geographic highlight of eastern Canada. From a bicycling perspective the park roads were the best in the province (to the chagrin of locals). The roads are challenging and it’s highly recommended that you know the elevations of mountains you are about to climb. Mount Smokey and North in particular were difficult. It’s a trip of a lifetime on a bike and surprising that there were relatively few other bikers on the trip.
Awesome, simple hike along the top of the ridge line. A few hidden trails led to great vistas high above the cliffs. Remember to pay for the park at the booth at the bottom of the hill upon entry.
This is a stunning place to visit in the summer or during the Celtic Colours festival in the fall. Great camping everywhere, friendly people and stunning views. A jewel in Canada
Absolutely an amazing experience. Driving through the Highlands was a breathtaking experience, just when you think that it couldn't get any more beautiful, just around the bend, something even more breathtaking appears! Many people put the Cabot Trail as a must do item on their bucket list, glad I was able to do it with my family. I will probably do it again because it was really that beautiful. Pictures can never do this place justice. It is something that you gotta get off your ass and do!
If you’re in Nova Scotia, you should definitely check out this National Park. Worth doing the drive around the whole park. Lots of hiking trails and camp grounds. It’s better to visit the information centre and get a map before heading on the Trail.
My favorite vacation spot in maritime at all time! Only been there three time yet everytime we find something new and touching. Very well developed and perfect for a long weekend get away. Yes it's the most attractive in the fall. but it's beautiful at all time. Yes All time! Even raining day.
Driving on the Cabot Trail Road was the best driving fun of the life. Must drive at least once in a lifetime.
Top class National Park with stunning views and hiking trails. A must do if you are visiting Nova Scotia. The drive between Cheticamp and Ingonish is particularly good. Definitely give it lots of time, stop by at view points and complete a …
So beautiful, the coastline often reminds me of the south island of New Zealand. We did the tour counter clockwise and some people told us we should have done it clockwise. To our benefit we did enjoy a very nice sunset in Chéticamp.
The Cabot Trail is a beautiful place all year but in the fall the leaves are a sight to see. Everyone needs to see this spectacular place at least once in their life. Pictures do not do it justice ????????
It’s one of the most popular and famous places to visit in Nova Scotia. With lots of stunning, picturesque and scenic views, you can truly relax yourself while walking any trails. A number of great views can also be seen from your vehicle while driving along Cabot Trail: the beautiful scenic coastal drive.
The amazing Cabot trail. Brings you close to the nature. You need atleast 3 days to nicely and thoroughly enjoy this world renowned trail.
Hiking camping, glamping, swimming, golfing, whale watching, zip line, waterfalls and the best views in the world! Highly recommend for vacation!
Absolutely stunning! First time visiting Cape Breton National Park and I have to say what an amazing experience! Everything is incredibly we maintained. Parks are nice and staff are informative and friendly. Loved the idea of a mobile information van. Over all the park is kept really clean and tidy. Driving the Cabot Trail is a blast! Will definitely be returning.
Absolutely beautiful. Words and pictures can not do it justice. Some of the most breathtaking views I have every seen. Going in the fall is amazing but chilly. The colors were so vivid and contrasting. The mountains and the ocean made for such a peaceful atmosphere.
The park is phenomenal and definitely warrants five stars. Franey Mountain, Fishing Cove, and Skyline are some great trails. My only criticism I'd like more options for multi-day traverses if they could get the chance to extend some trails into the interior of the park.
Beautiful scenery! Lots of look offs and trails. Pictures do not do it justice. A must see!
Amazing breathtaking scenic route and home to multiple trails of caring difficulties. The whole cape took us about 4-5hours.its was absolutely stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs. Like straight out of the movies..
Stayed here for three nights at the Broad Cove Campground. Drove the Cabot Trail around the northern tip of the island, which was beautiful. Lots of photo ops, and a few scary sections of road. Make sure you have good brakes before coming here! The Broad Cove Campground was very large with many campers, not a place to find solitude but still a good experience. There are several buildings with flush toilets and showers but you will probably have to wait in line. By far, the best part of the campground was the swimming area. It is situated at a spectacular red sand beach where a large slow moving stream meets the ocean. The ocean piles up the sand right at the outlet of the stream keeping the two water bodies mostly separate. The stream water here is black from all the tannins from the forest and it soaks up heat from the sun all day making the water warm. So, you can stand on the sand bar with cold saltwater on one side and warm fresh water on the other, and you can swim in both! If you stand on the sand bar in the right spot, your feet will be cold when a wave from the ocean comes in, and warm from the freshwater bleeding through the bar when the wave recedes. Best natural swimming area I have ever seen! Highly recommended.
I completely fell in love with the park. I was there for the long weekend in October (Canadian thanks giving) and the colours were breathtaking. The Skyline trail while the sun sets is a exciting way to end the day. Mica Hill is not super …
Only explored one trail, Skyline, as we don't have time for other trails: over 2 dozens of them! The view at the lookout is just spectacular and we took lots of pictures there. This hiking tour complements well with our whale watch boating tour. But we didn't see any animals during hiking at all!
Lovely park. Great for camping. We stayed at Cheticamp Campgrounds in a fully equipped tent. They provided a tent on a wooden platform, mats, 2 burner stove, propane, pans, dishes, cutlery and a lantern. It was less than $100 per night for the family too. Comfort stations in close proximity. Few kitchen facilities. The best kitchen facility I've seen at a campground. Sink with running water, wood burning heater, electrical outlets, lots of seating. There were sinks for dishwashing every where too. Driving around Cabot Trail was fun. Lively scenery, specially where you sea the ocean views. Unfortunately couldn't hike on Skyline Trail during to the cold and rain. Highly recommend a trip and a overnight stay here.
Not sure why anyone would recommend this park. Perhaps we missed better sites but we didn't see any. Paid an arm and a leg for firewood and didn't even want to leave the camper. The picture showed us a wooded spot but not only were we in a parking lot but our picnic table was right beside the next camper's sewage and our fire pit right under their window. We didn't utilize either but our neighbours didn't seem to mind the arrangement. We tried not to flush the toilet while they ate.
