We felt pretty good taking in all them colonial culture and couldn't help feeling snobbish watching all them peasants outside who couldn't come in either because they didn't have a reservation or don't feel like drinking tea for the price of a steak dinner. Chilly for June 1st but a lovely old park. Relaxing and not too busy today. Gardens not as well tended as they used to be. Miss the rose gardens the horticultural society used to tend.

Fairly clean for the volume of people that go through this park daily. Nice playground and shallow pool with sprinkler in the middle for the young ones or those young-at-heart on a hot day. The only downside is apparently after 6 they drain the wading pool and they close and drain the pool and there were many upset children there my daughter included when we brought her to play just after dinner.

We came here not even realizing there was a playground and fountain wading pool. Toddler ran in fully clothed so we bought some underpants and shorts across the street at Hatley. So much fun that we came back again the next day! It's a great green space in the heart of downtown. Bathrooms available too!

While the primary destination was Niagara Falls... visited Niagara On The Lake as a day trip. Parked right next to Simcoe park not immediately realizing it is named after the Revolutionary War British Capt. John Simcoe. Being a huge fan of AMC's Revolutionary War drama Turn, I was pleasantly surprised to learn more about the real Simcoe. While Simcoe was an enemy of the USA, turns out his Turn portrayal as a sadistic madman wasn't exactly accurate. He was a founder of Niagara On The Lake and a very influential founder of Canada itself. It was exciting to explore the rich American/Canadian history, and get a sense of the real Capt Simcoe. Not too mention Simcoe Park is beautiful .. a must see destination !

Love this park in Niagara on the Lake. There is a little wading pool for kids and play area. Cross the street and you are in the town with all its shops, cafes, theater, and inns, b&b's and pretty homes. Surrounding the area are more parks, trails and Fort George that is wonderful to visit.

Simcoe park is a beautiful area nestled in the heart of old town NOTL. It is shaded and great for picnics and families. There is a playground for children as well as a small splash pool which is monitored by a lifeguard. My only complaint is that the splash pool does not open until 10am and for kids who wake early and families who want to take advantage of cooler morning weather this could pose a problem.

Lots of history here to discover if you are a history buff. Everything is very clean and well maintained.

Niagars-on-the-ake is a wonderful place to go.... my advice is, take the way to Niagara falls from there and enjoy the awesome of mother nature and don't forget to step down a little bit on the panorama view and then the smallest church on the earth (living water wayside chapel)

It is fairly a small park but the views are amazing especially during summer months. There are several metered parking locations but there are many free alternatives in surrounding streets. A nice place for a coffee while watching the lovely views of the town
