I wish I could give less than a 1. This place is a disgrace to animal welfare. They advertise animals that aren't even alive. The tanks are so dirty and disgusting. The animals are sad and starved. Its just so horrible. I'm glad the new laws are in effect with will limit their ability to continue profiting from animals..

Liz Mullan

Not bad not impressed how the tanks were dirty looksike they haven't be cleaned in awhile. Wouldn't recommend to anyone most of the rides where down except the kids rides.

Prashant Sharma

An amazing place to head out with the family. Lots of available parking with separate entry and exit points. Purchasing tickets is a breeze as well. You can either buy them online and they will scan the tickets off your phone or you can buy them at the ticket counters. The pricing is just the same. Lots to see and do, so plan for an entire day of fun. A few hours wont suffice. LOL! It depends if you are a repeat visitor. The massive sea mammals are simply amazing to watch, especially the beluga and killer whales. The dolphin and seal shows are superb. The trainers are kind and you can tell by the way the sea creatures behave with them. Kids and adults alike will be thrilled for sure.

REYNA DIAZ

spectacular place just a little neglected not all children's games are open

Vivianna Bao

Had lots of fun here, to name a few of my little one’s favourite places: the splash pad, fish feeding, and bumble bee ride. On top of that, they have the best fountain Pepsi!

Shenel Boyce

Don't go there!! Worst place ever! Take your money and go to wonderland or Toronto’s aquarium. My family and I went there and it was a disappointment. The rides are unkept along with the animals. You have to walk long to see poor rides with lots of bushes around them. My kids were so heart broken to see how badly the animals looked. They have vowed never to return

Marinland is the best place I have been to so far. I love that it have a lot of different places that are divided to family section and adults. The family section is only for kids who are about the age of 5 _10. The games are not scary or hard in that section, but the adult and teen section have a really scary and hard games sometimes adult couldn't handle it sush as "the sky screamer" and "the dragon mountain" There is the "king waldorf stadium "(dolphin Stadium) it is just amazing for kids and adults. I love Marinland and it is one of the most exciting places I have ever been to so far.

Anna Holub

Not sure if animals are happy to live there. Some of them look very poor and tired.. but I was extremely excited and happy to get closer to dolphins, belugas and a whale. They are so gorgeous. Nice place to spend time with a family or friends.

Mohammed Obied

Took my son here and he absolutely loved seeing the animals. We went there knowing the rides were closed due to the pandemic and still was alot of fun. We will definitely return and hopefully by then things will be back to normal ????

Josie's World

I visited with my family for the first time last weekend and it was so much fun. Very tiring & lots of walking but overall the kids loved it. I really like the fact that you are able to bring in your own food and drinks and that you are not forced to buy food in the park. ????️???????? The dolphin show was so informative and fun ????????

Netresa Clark

#FREEKISKA she is going to kill herself in your captivity!!! Could you imagine sitting in the same room walking in circles year after year with no one to talk to. That’s how she’s living her life.. swimming in circles. LET HER GO!!!

Tram Ngo

I had very little expectations going to Marineland but my sister and the kids wanted to go so we tagged along. Surprisingly, it was a fun trip. There are few rides for the kids as well as adults too. We also went to go see the show. It’s not bad.

Lis Marie

Marineland is a nice amusement park, a little on the older side but there's still tons to see and do. There is a lot of walking involved and long stretches that don't have any activities or scenes, it's just pathways which would've been better if they added more to see in between, it's a long walk especially on hot days but I loved the marine life show, it was so cute and everyone did a great job!

Kanwar Sran

Very informative and entertaining place where kids can enjoy rides of all ages and watch the Dolphin's show. They also have the picnic area. The Dolphin show is very entertaining and informative. You can also upgrade your day pass to a …

Kirubel Yitna (K.B)

Very friendly staff, great place for families. I advise you to bring carrots apples or corn to feed the deer and elk. Please don't feed them any leaves, even when the staff tell people not to do it, some do it just to get the picture. The leaves upsets their stomach They were very cute.

Ermelinda Cela

We used to love Marineland, it was our favorite place to visit during Summer. This year, not only the prices have gone crazy,$50 per person, but the rides were 90% closed, the kids got to enjoy only the view of the beluga …

Ahmed Shehab

The best thing about it is that you come very close to the animals. The dolphin show is good but the theme park is only suitable for below 10. If you have older kids don’t waste your money and time, just visit Wonderland and African Lion Safari.

avril azueta

I had not visited this place and I liked it a lot. Very good attention of workers, professionals in the care of animals, access for disabled people, the souvenir shop very large and with a large number of items. The wide and very rich food area, good prices; only 15 or 20 minutes from downtown Niagara Falls by car. The mechanical games very funny, in short; You can enjoy a full day with the family there and you can take food as there are picnic areas inside the park.

S. Mohammad

Super nice place! Lots to do, we couldn't even get through the entire park. The hamburger place was very nice and made halal burger for us. The kids loved the rides and we adults loved it too ???? ????

Aman Deep

I loved the place. I will definitely go back there again. The dolphins shows are amazing I loved it. Also they have few other animals like bears, tigers etc. If you want to enjoy everything you must go in the morning so that you can spend most of the day and see everything. Will recommend to cary food because the food there is expensive. Rides are amazing they have for adults and kids. They have the staff all around so if you get lost finding a place they can help you. They have options to go close to the animals but only for specific times. They have lot of parking with no extra cost it’s included in the ticket. They have a lot of parking reserved too. But it’s better to go early so that you can get a spot closer to the gates. They have a picnic area for family so if you just want to sit and relax you can do that. Best time to go there is weekdays because weekends gets really busy. Its not too expensive compared to what you can get in that.

Chelsea Iheme-Hall

Kind of hard to enjoy yourself when you’re watching beautiful living creatures be used as money makers while being held in captivity for the profit of greedy humans. Do the right thing and shut down or transition into a theme park minus the animal cruelty factor.

Chloe M

This place should not be open. Keeping animals in captivity for years for exploitation is horrible and can be seen in Marineland especially. The orca is so lonely that she is literally banging her body against the tank. So horrible. I will never go here again or support any place that allows animals to suffer both physically and psychologically. To parents who are thinking of bringing their children here for their amusement- please don’t. You’re only teaching your children to be okay with the mistreatment of animals and are supporting places that take animals from their natural habitat into a prison.

P M

Nothing much to spent time here, if your looking for rides and games. it’s good place to enjoy with family and friend as a picnic spot but worth for $50 tickets. One of the best thing is Dolphin show it’s fantastic and mind blowing. Animals are taken care very well, Park is very clean and washroom are well maintained, most important parking is free where they can allot too many cars. If they had some more stuffs show wide & fun wise then it’s no doubt 5 stars from me...

Muinul Hasan Banna

A certain visit. Huge parking. Anyone planning to visit should plan for the whole day. The rides and aquiriums are far apart, so be prepared to walk a lot (approximately 4.5 km). My top picks 1. The dolphine show (so obvoius) 2. Sky screamer 2.Feed the belugas 3. Feed the beer 4. Roller coaster Tip: be in the dolphine show arena at least half an hour prior to the show-start. Take some sliced apples to feed the deer, bears.

Fola

The kids absolutely had fun and the Beluga whales were so much fun to watch. The sea lion show was entertaining too!

Daniel Shu

Marineland is a big park so be prepared to walk. Lot of space that could be used for other exhibits. Mixed feelings about the beautiful beautiful belugas in captivity. Some aquariums in Canada / US have phased out this practice all together due to animals rights protests. I didn't like the belugas being touched by the many many people who paid and lined up to take pictures while touching and feeding the belugas with their dirty hands. This practice makes money but I doubt the merits of this. Otherwise the show is fantastic and well worth it......... perhaps the best part of the visit.

Vladyslav Frolov

Such a blast, after reading negative reviews we were a little bit scared but enjoyed a lot. Yes, in fact, bunch of attractions are closed due COVID-19 but tons are open, great experience to spend a day there.

Melisa Alvarado

The park looks like it has never changed since it first opened, but the simplicity can be appreciated. The rides dont really accommodate larger people, but the shows are so much fun!

JeninCanada

Great to visit on a Monday. No lines and got to do some rides twice due to lack of folks. Not a lot of animals to see and everything is oddly spaced out. Be prepared to walk. Lockers are a good investment for two loonies. The splash area …

Joseph Morris

How does ANYONE take their kids here? You are raising them to be psychopaths. Whales are held in captivity. Absolutely disgusting and shameful by all parties. Makes me sick. ????

Unang Pangulo

I like the sea lion and beluga show here. This place is one of the largest amusement park I've visited. However, some rides are permanently closed. I would recommend this place for children. My kids enjoyed the rides like bumblebee and the octopus. We've also seen Bison, Bear, Deer, and lots of birds. My kids trying to catch seagulls. The admission fee here seems to be too expensive for that reason I rated 3 stars for this park. And the restaurants offers few choices of food. There are lot of parking space but if you come late you might have to walk far going to the entrance. The best time to come here probably Summer and Fall. With its space, I believe they can still improve this park and make it a more exciting place to visit for everyone, not only for children. Overall our kids had a good experience in Marineland.

Paul Kuczera

More could be done, but the quiet crowd numbers and relative cleanliness help to make this place easier to visit than other amusement parks.

maria wiebe

Some of the best rides were closed and that really sucked. Their food is awesome. Their staff is great. They didn't make you wear a mask which was AMAZING!! Reccomend!

Muneeb Master

Other than the sea lion and dolphin show & seeing the belugas and the orcas, there's not much else to do. There's a lot of walking for a whole lot of nothing. A lot of the rides are closed. A lot of the land animals are either not there or look unhealthy. The rides that are actually open have long line ups with no social distancing and lack of sanitation.

Tika Carpenter

I loved it here. It was a great day with the kids. The show dialogue was so-so but full of entertainment. The rides were ok. My only suggestion would be to have a "you must he this tall" sign for the famous tower ride. Both my children were too small to ride and the climb to the top isn't an easy one. It is expensive $$$

d lajeunesse

Nice place for the belugas. Honestly, I feel like the places have been the same for 20 years. The amusement park needs modernization. Disappointing price $ 50 (adults) and $43 children for so little.More than half of the rides were defective or non-functional.

Flora Tran

It is a combination of the zoo, aquarium and amusement park. Decoration themes are adorable, lovely sceneries with lots of trees, flowers and a river running across the area, very suitable for kids, a nice place for adults too but the entertainment is quited limited and not as thriliing as others. They have free train but limited stops for pickup and drop off. The restaurant has decent options for common fast food like fried chickens, burgers, pizza, hotdogs, fries and salad. Toilets are located evenly and clean.

Joe Das

The staff try hard to do their best with the animals - often coming from a background with horses, they learn how to interact with aquatic mammals well. I disagree when people say the animals have poor mental health - under the circumstances, the animals behave normally and are not depressed. Kiska, for a grieving Orca matriarch, is doing better than I expected. She focuses on entertaining children when present. The people who visit her are respectful and friendly to her as well. She also interacts kindly with her minders.

Christian Knudsen

I last went to Marineland 35 years ago as a child. I recently reviewed the home videos taken by my father of that trip. Look, Marineland is still a must see adventure but it's lost a lot of its charm. I took my children for their first visit and they enjoyed it, but I know its glory days. Half the rides were down. No train service as the driver didn't show up. Can't visit the deer anymore and food deliver was late so couldn't feed the deer through the gate till 1pm. There was just so much MORE when I went as a child. And I watched the home videos to validate that comment. And no, its not just 'Covid' as I've been to Canada's Wonderland and La Ronde in Montreal recently. Both are operating well above 90%. Just slightly disappointed I guess. Still worth seeing 100%.

SEXY NASCAR CHIC 78

Prepare to walk alot a very spaced out park ..average amount of rides but great rides "Flying Dragon , Blue Mountain and Sky Screamers"was great rides and look out for the Safari coming soon in Summer 2018"

Andres J Santiago

Saw this place on the news. Sad anyone thinks its ok to keep an Orca for 45 years in a shallow tank in complete isolation. I hope authorities have compassion enough to save that poor whale.

Luis Adolfo GV

the experience with dolphins, belugas, orca and other animals is awesome. the rides are to old. and the park needs more animation. the aquarium is very small and old. good price in food and variety. free parking. picnic are is good. arcade old.

yes

Please do NOT go here. They promote animal abuse. Recently, there was footage of an orca all alone, depressed, and it was trying to kill itself. Some orcas have died of starvation, and some are tortured just so they can earn money. Not just orcas, but they also harm other marine animals! This is a terrible place, and please do not support them! Supporting this place is basically supporting animal cruelty. They abuse all kinds of animals, and supporting them is basically supporting animal abuse. I wish I could give them a 0, but that is not possible.

rachel x

What you are doing to Kiska your orca is reprehensible, in case you didn't know I'm letting you know. Please do the right thing, she needs other orcas. How would you feel if people locked you in a room and you had no human interaction? Release her, do what needs to be done. You are behaving like capitalistic Americans.

Van Nguyen

The animals are very talented. It's really nice and fun. The parc is kind of big

Constantine Piatrou

Great place for kids. Lots of animals and marine life, quiet a few attractions. It's okay for adults, but only when all the rides become open.

Mitchell Murphy

Dolphins and Orcas should not be held in captivity. They are intelligent animals capable of talking to one another and expressing emotions.

Based Beauty #877

Would give zero stars if I could! They mistreat, neglect, and abuse the Bears extremely bad there, and the other animals. It's a sad situation. They need to get with the times, and modernize the whole place, Maybe rescue animals that need …

Family fun all year around

Kendra Fennell

Wow...I'm at a loss for words. I took my niece and her friend here for her birthday during the summer, and was absolutely APALLED at the employees. First of all, the whole park is disgusting and dirty. They really should hire janitors or …

Youcef Batel

Amazing show and new attraction splash polar is very refreshing thing to do with kids

Vincent Serban (Vicentiu)

Good old Marineland, now very easily accessible, empty parking lot like never before (staff told me last year on this time they were almost out of parking in the overflow lot). NO RIDES ARE OPEN, so you're limited to the nice walk around …

Sarah Desiree Colbourne

The best value around for a day with the family. Only pay $5 to upgrade to a season pass and kids under 5 are free with paying adult. Our son had a blast with all of the rides, never huge wait times like Canada's Wonderland and the workers were always friendly. When we had our membership we made many mid week trips to the park and it was great. Be prepared for lots of walking but bring your own food and drinks (Something you cant do at Wonderland) We got a Wonderland season pass this year and I think my 3.5 year old enjoyed it less. He liked the rides he could do at Marineland more

Teshia Rose

Love that we got the chance to see whales live in person. The beluga whales are the best and just super friendly and funny. Kids enjoyed seeing the marine mammals and the amusement rides aswell. Only think we were upset bu was that they had no public bathrooms in the WHOLE park other then the entrance area (which is by nothing else..) we went from one washroom were it had a sigh saying to use the other at the drop ride, so we walked 30 minutes to get to that one, and it was also closed (not to mention it's at the top of a hill, that they make you walk around to go up, so instead of going up, you go up and around. Staff on the top of the hill was rude and laughed about the fact that we were upset by the washroom being closed. I was with kids 4, 5 and 7 they can old hold it for so long. Not acceptable when we paid over 200 to get in. Maybe tell people no bathrooms are working when they come to purchased tickets.

Joel

Or kids (5,7,9) had a blast here. We were there on a Wednesday and Thursday and had to wait at most 10 min for a couple rides all day. The park is spread out, so take a stroller if you have any little ones. They have added a train for transportation, but it doesn't run super often, so wet took our once or twice for the experience but mostly walked. The shows weren't the same as when I was a kid, but still entertaining. The employees were all very friendly and took the time to answer all of our kids questions about the animals. We packed or own food and water which saved some money. Be sure to have lots of water on hot days. We had decent weather (somewhat overcast) and still went through a lot of water. You can tell the park is no longer in its glory days, but still a great time for the kids. A seasons pass is only $5 more (you can purchase it before leaving they park if you want to wait), so we had two days there. Awesome deal if you live in the area, but good deal even if you only spend the two days like we did. The new splash pad was a bit disappointing since our 9 year old was to big for any slides and the rest was just animal themed water jets. No buckets or the usual splash pad items. A bit odd for a brand new splash pad.

lai Yassine

Everything is amazing and exceptional . However, the distance between the attractions is exhausting so you may wanna have your water bottles. Moreover, the people working in the restaurant area are inexperienced and disrespectful. We ordered a halal burger platter and we saw the man giving us regular burgers and when confronted he tried to lie about it and tried to convince us its halal. After his manager came and realized the mistake, the man just laughed about it.

U S

I enjoyed the rides - despite me deducting 2 stars, it's because the animals didn't seem to feel at home or happy at all. Could be improved by better care for the animals. PS - I went here before the pandemic.

Rositsa Dimitrova

A favourite place to visit with the family. The staff is great, kind and accommodating. The only thing that made us very sad was the lonely orca. Please find her a company! This is a social animal and I can't imagine how is she doing all by herself for so long.

Omar Abi Ghannam

Of the best places for families to visit where all can enjoy their time. It's a huge edutainment place for kids to have fun and learn at the same time about the marine life. Rides are nice and safe and all included in the entrance fees. There is a live show for dolphins and sea lions, very interesting!

Anmol Randeo

It was wonderful place to have alots of fun with family and the skywheel riding is totally amazing . If you got time just view there shows , they are more than awesome

Prabu Rangasamy

Good park for kids to enjoy. Staffs are kind and good. Not crowded. Had a fun time on a Sunday. Separate ‘Family Rides’ where kids under 3 can enjoy in 3-4 rides like Ferry’s wheel, boat carousel, Lady Bug roller-coaster, Bee ride. Nice place to see lots of ducks/ geese and fun to feed the fishes. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Lot of parking space. Free parking Hardest part was to reach the ‘Sky Screamer’ ride which is situated at the top of a small hill. We have to walk all the way to the top-hill which is very difficult with kids. Lonely whale ???? Many attractions were closed.

Christian Ardito

I love Marineland. Visited a few times over the years - normally in early May before the season starts. If you visit off season, you will be able to enjoy the rides as many times as you'd like without any lines.

Debra Leneave

Please start playing sounds of other killer whales on youtube asap, for the loneliest killer whale u have there. It's the humane thing to do, get a big screen tv 4 her too! Until u can find her a baby to live with ok???

Ashley M.

It was awesome and just seeing how well its been kept up since I was last there (many moons ago)... It was great. It adhered to the nostalgia the theme park held for me when I was so young. And now my kids got to experience it too. There's a lot of walking, but I feel it was well worth the exercise!!! I also feel like admission is a bit steep, but it is what it is I guess.

MLvac / Aspirateurs Lasalle

We go to feed the deers as our children grow up. Now our third one was left disappointed because we were informed only at the gates that the deer land is closed!!! But enjoyed the controllable flying boats to the best of it. Since we were visiting in mid june - no lineups....it was empty!!!

Ash’s Bricks

I liked the splash pad, rides and gift shop, but it’s heartbreaking to see the animals captivated in places with nothing that their natural habitat had. This has become my least favourite zoo in Canada and tourist attraction in Niagara …

Boris Markhevka

Please disregard all 1 star reviews. I'm sure it is mostly from one group of people that I've seen couple years ago protesting in front of the park entrance. Why don't they protest in front of any zoo? Why not to protest in front of farm? Or any grocery store? This place treats well its animals and it's pretty clean. The water in the pools for sea animals is clear and clean. Park is a little bit outdated but still there is much stuff to do: rides, animals, show and just walking around. Parking is free. Food or drinks are not overpriced. Me and my 9 year old son had fun.

Emma Bosustow

Great family day out. . . Already knew alot would be unavailable so paying full price is kind of a rip off, but explains how their ticket booths can run air conditioning all day without anyone in them ???????? the place itself is a nice trip out but with the closures for covid I'm sure they could do better price wise

Jessica Frappier

Some of the trainers there are absolutely amazing.... Because of COVID a lot of things are closed so beware when going.

Hussnain Haider

I had high expectations from Marineland but all vein. Thank God I got the promotional tickets otherwise I would have regretted it like anything. Overall it's a very dull and disorganized park. Dolphin show was not even just okay but a complete disappointment. I could hardly understand what the show hostess was saying because of the poor sound system. Aquarium was so dirty that I was feeling sad for fishes inside the small polluted tanks. Bears were kept in such a bad condition that I couldn't hold my emotions and left park immediately. The only good part was the dragon mountain roller coaster and kids rides. On the whole, we (as family) were not pleased at all with the experience and were feeling sorry for all the animals at Marineland. A complete disastrous experience of the worst park in Canada.

Muhammed Ammar Qadri

Costly ticket. $50 is just too much. Horrible parking lot with -no parking marks -some people had taken 2 car space and because of no marking and less cars to park. Can't blame drivers Management should mark car spaces. Absolutely no hard asphalt in parking. Decades old washrooms (but were clean). Too many bugs/fly all over especially in washroom and food area. Seating in king Waldorf stadium for dolphin show was not comfortable, no back rest and not very clean. Most rides were not working even on Civic holiday long weekend. Very poor shuttle service to reach from one end of park to other. Staff nice and polite. Food was just ok, didn't appear really fresh. Its right on border and few meters from the worlds most visited natural wonder sight still nothing in park reflected Canada ???????? except for friendly staff. Not much signs and directions in park for attractions without the Map you are kind of surprised-(+)-confused. Map available only at entrance. Needs some improvement.

Marta Laszczewski

It's clean and offers some excitement for the kids. Would be great if the rides were open but unfortunately they aren't due to covid. Tickets should be cheaper in my opinion.

Sabrina-Leen Belley

Entery price is very reasonable just add 5$ and get the season pass upgrade, we were at King Waldorf's Campground "see my negative review" for 5 days so we could enter the site that was only 5 minutes away as we wished, very cool dolphin show kids were in Aw!!! Not many animals, more rides than anything else, the park is huge and looks empty and worn down but overall very cool with the kids, practically no wait at the rides, had a blast :) Would recommend 10/10

Michael Binder

Charging people money for a cup of Corn Pops to feed to bears who are begging for food is disgusting. Many rides are overgrown with grass and weeds. Animals are kept in poor conditions. I wouldn't go back... actually, I wish I had never …

M Dionysus

As a kid to now I will forever hate this place 30years later they decide to investigate this mass prison and graveyard. Let them go. And those saying they didn't get animal entertainment here and to go to the zoo or African Lion Safari - you're the problem. None of these animals need to be trapped days on end for your 2 hour of possible enjoyment. Free Kiska already!!!!!!!! Let them all go to sanctuaries at least!!!!!!!

Madylearn AsWeGrow

Everyone loves Marineland ❤️ great place to visit for the family. Great dolphin show, encounter with Beluga whales and Orca specially if you are lucky to be there during feeding times. Get wet with Polar splash. Get to feed the deers. It’s covid pandemic times and can’t expect for more. All park rides are shut down but you can still always enjoy with your family and learning exposure for children. You also support parks like this to stay alive as it is a very deficit times for all businesses entire world. Covid temp check at entrance. Covid safety measure all over the park so it’s safe and allot of distancing open air spaces to enjoy Washroom are open Little less food choices available but so it’s understandable Parking is free Full price for entrance fees but they automatically upgrade your single entry pass into season pass so you don’t have to rush and can always keep going back for free. Dolphin show photos and videos attached with this review. More photos coming for all other activities you can do here at Marineland. If you find this review helpful, please so drop is your generous like. Thanks ???? you.

Came here once a few years ago. Only reason was because my daughter was dying to go from watching the commercials on tv. Honestly I was rather disappointed with this place, and very very pricey to get in for just the two of us (she was 6 at the time). Besides the dolphin show, the rest of the park is quite boring sad to say. I thought for sure we'd have more fun, but we didn't. We had so much more fun on Clifton Hill and down by the falls. I haven't recommended this place to anyone since, especially since we found more fun other places very close by.

Abdul Rehman

It is more of a walk than fun. Rides are so much far apart and half of the rideshare out of service. Website recommended online buying of tickets but there is no discount for CAA membership or Disable person. It is better to buy it there on entry. I would not go back there.

Max Ruzanov

these types of places should be banned for good. They exploit animals and put them in artificial environment for humans enjoyment. Same with the circuses and many zoos. No, animals don't have any fun by being there. Did they tell you how they like it there?

Khalid Al-Helo

Very nice place and family friendly!

meg

I took my kids here NEVER AGAIN. My kids were crying at the poor conditions of the animals, my daughter pointed out the orca and said "mummy she looks alone and sad" we ended up leaving at this point not many rides and they are a long walk …

Fiyin Ibitoye

Awesomeplace for the entire family. Kids had a blast, adults didn't wanna leave. Such fun.

jills thomas

It was really great. All the rides were fun. Has fun stuff for all age groups. There is 3 dolphin shows @ 12pm @3pm & 6pm. Individuals or families are allowed to bring food. Rental strollers are available after entry.

Adam Perry

I have to admit that I was not prepared to enjoy the visit there I've always wanted to go there and even though there wasn't much open it was so worth it

Tatiana O-K

I went on the screamer this time!!! Still can't believe I did it ???????????????? Saw the show and beluga and Kiska (killer ????) feeding. Great for kids, family and picnics ☀️????

David Shi

So much fun stuff to play there. We bought the general admission and upgraded to seasonal pass. Not recommend to kids under 3 years old. But for bigger kids, it's so interesting that my kids don't want to go home.

Muhammad Al-Shammari

Would give them 5 stars if all the rides were open. Was disappointed that I was charged full price eventhough half of the attractions were closed. I love this place regardless because of all the childhood memories.

Michael Schweitzer

Never been there but I know that isolated killer whale kiska you have that is lonely and is basically being tortured deserves better and I hope someone sees this and does something she needs a Friend or let free she can not be done like that it's wrong that's animal abuse and it's soo inhumane

Li Jo

If you're looking for a day filled with fun activities for the whole family, you're in a right place for sure! Just be prepared to walk a lot and pack some food for a picnic. It's a huge area picked with kids rides, family rides and grown up rides. There's also aquarium to check out different fishes and sea lions. We also saw brown/black bears chilling in a different pool. Three times a day they have a dolphin show. It's at 12pm, 3pm and 6.30pm. Ticket seems pricy, but parking is free, rides and dolphin show are all included in the price, plus you can bring your own food!

Antonina Navarra

I visited yesterday (Sunday 19th August 2018) a lot of walking so to be sure to bring stroller for your little ones. Nice and open. Dolphins /sea lion /whale show was good. Food expensive. But my main concern is the animals. We go see the deers. ....... and one is foaming from the mouth..... one antler busted and the other bleeding! Was very disturbing to see. Not many staff around either. I even told a member of staff that people are crossing the barrier and banging on the glass that's under ground to see the whales. He didn't seem so concerned about this. And I had to go outside to find a member of staff. No one was supervising underneath. Feel awful for the poor animals. Something needs to be done. You can see the white deer lifeless and bleeding. Bears the water is not flowing and filthy.

Kalindi Webb

Save the animals, they refuse to let their animals retire and won’t help their poor orca who is clearly in need of help. I wish we could ban these places and hold the management accountable. I’m from Australia and videos of their animals are popping up all over my tiktok and people need to stop supporting and spending their money in these places

Alyssa Seniuk

I've only been a couple of times, but it is horrible. The poor animals are kept in tight quarters, the deer and bears look like they are neglected, and the poor orca looks so depressed by itself. These animals belong in the wild, and if they can't survive in the wild, they need an animal sanctuary, not an amusement park that profits from their isolation and suffering.

Alycia Hayes

While whales and sea creatures are currently commanding the most attention from outraged people, let us not forget there is neglect, death and unfortunate conditions present for all the animals in their care. Realistically, Marineland owners have shown their true colours by their disregard of doing what is fair and just. To those still going to this park, donate your money to an animal charity instead and stop funding places that are not moving profits forward to create a better world for all of us.

Bogdan P.

Fun place for the kids. Sadly a lot of rides closed to be able to fully enjoy. Marine animals show a must see. Bring bathing suits for the splash park.

Sherese Richards

We went here during the covid time and not much was open. Understandable.. but they shouldn't be charging full price for a entry ticket if there isn't much to see or do. It cost 57 with tax for entry. We went to watch a show and there was no social distancing at all. The stadium has 4 sections, and they block 2 sections off in the center but the other 2 sections they said are meant to have 100 people in each of them. When my mother asked why it was done that way they started yelling at her that its for social distancing. This place isn't what it use to be like back in the days, its soo run down and boring now. Needs lots of updating and proper covid precautions

ed derube

I was a little worried with COVID-19 but attendance at the park was low and the precautions the park took made us feel safe. The only negative was the dolphin/whale show. There wasn't a clear method for lining up and only 100 people are permitted in. This made for some frustration for people that waited 1hr vs. people that just showed up and pushed their way in. Also once in the show there was no explanation of where you can sit and only after half the people had been seated did someone make most of the people move to new seats.

TorontoE

My son and I really enjoyed ourselves. We came at around 10 am and left around 5pm. Prices for food are pretty reasonable. I paid an extra 10 or 15 dollars to have my son feed the baby baloogas. He really enjoyed that. The wait to feed and pet them was around 20 mins. We also watched the show. It was good. The only thing is that the place is really run down but a nice place to create some memories with the family.

Benjamin Layman

Marineland is amazing I have been going for almost 40 years I love it my kids love it lots of rides and animals we go almost every weekend and buy seasonal passes what a wonderful place to take your family to learn about sea creatures and go on rides

S Hanson

Nice place to visit. Was expecting more from covid protocols such as markings for line ups, reduced seating during shows where people would not be able to sit in every row and instead sit in every other row for example. There were about 6 rides throughout the park that were not in service. The splash pad area is nice with multiple slides. Getting on the rides were very slow as only 1 employee was assigned to each ride.

Hara n

Few rides are closed during a long weekend when it is supposed to be busy. When my kids want to see the dolphins they were denied and mentioned specific time only. While we were watching from far a crew member brought her friends and family and gave a special treatment for them. They went inside and closed contact with dolphins also fed them. I didn’t take it seriously until My daughter asked me so many questions about that. Few others also waited outside like us and got little disappointed and upset about the special treatment. It is run by people buying tickets.. Management has to look into it.

B M

Good place for kids , full day enjoy

Mary Broekema

Splash pad was great. Half of the rides weren't running in the kid section, maybe due to covid or lack of employees during the week day? But we really were just there for the splash pad and the kids really loved it.

jgutka

This park was fun, not to large, and the kids enjoyed the rides. Could have used some extra cleaning in some areas, but overall good. There was little to no one else in the park when we attended so no wait times. Quite a few rides were closed when we went, but this may have been due to the lack of ppl there. It was a slightly rainy day. Food was simple and relatively good, but not many options. Prices in gift shop were very reasonable. The show was great, and the entertainers were very good with the animals.

Callum Winsor

MarineLand has taken a lot of flack over the years for their treatment of animals, but this review isn't about the treatment of their creatures as I am not qualified to judge that. As far as amusement parks go, MarineLand is a great time for a reasonable cost. The park is definitely showing it's age and there were a lot of clearly decrepit rides whose best days are behind them but the rides that are still functional are lots of fun and the lines are short. The Marine animal shows were well put together and very entertaining as well!

Ange Klauke

Park is outdated in my opinion. Really needs misting stations or a splash pad for hot days considering there is alot of walking in between rides/attractions. Some weren't operating (I noticed 3-4) and we had to get an employee to call help as a bear looked as if it was overheating or very sick. We watched for 45 min and it didn't move/get up and looked pretty sickly. The employee was concerned and did make a report to management who did come. I didn't stay for outcome. A few rides suitable for younger kids, costs extra $ to feed the belugas or have your picture taken with them. The windows at the lookout station underground we're scratched up alot and although you could see out of them I expected better. 1 orca whale. The show included dolphins, sealions, and the belugas. We didn't stay till the end due to the heat and we waited till the end of the day to watch it however it was mundane. A few tricks but became repetitive. Claim to have an indoor aquarium however inside there were only fish and 2 sea lions. Best part of that was the air conditioning. There are stroller rentals and they are great.

Darcy Hunter

I was here many years ago with my children and it was a solid 5 in those days. So much has changed, it seems lot of the animals are no longer there. They do have an amazing splash pad now which was irrelevant to me personally. Many of rhe rides were shut down when I was there which was inconvenient. It's all COVID related so behond their control. You can no longer walk through the deer park..... All in all I allowed an 8 hour day here and seen it all in just over 3 hours. There may be more to do for little ones. I didn't venture down to the kiddie rides.

Jacquie Hughey

Half the rides were not operational "because of COVID". Very disappointing. If everything was up and running it would have been worth the money.

Simo Zawit

Maybe we had higher expectations but we were very disapointed, the place was huge you need to walk a lot. Some places were not clean, the aquarium is in a pitty situation, except the dolphins show, it was a total waste of money and time

PC Rad

I feel like a lot of the one-star reviews are from individuals who have not even stepped foot on the grounds. Having said that, you will have to be the judge of whether the price is worth the admission. There are about nine rides which are operational, 5 to 6 animal viewing areas, and one show. A lot of the attractions are spaced quite far apart. There is a lot of walking. Overall, it was okay.

Brock Jacobs

It's alright. Had free tickets, would definitely not pay the price they desire. Most certainly more a place to bring your young children. A LOT of walking between attractions. The animals you'll see: orca (killer whale), beluga, black bear, deer, bison, fish, dolphin, sea lion, and couple others. The animal show was actually informative and entertaining. Can tell the animals get to decide if they want to do the "tricks." Some of the rides weren't operational and the walrus exhibit was closed (I think because they died recently but not sure).

A Alazizi

This is a nice place to go with your kids and have a lot of fun. Kids loved the dolphins show even though it was short ???? . Consider staying from opening to closing considering the tickets prices. Bring a lot of snacks if you have kids food a bit costly inside. A lot of fun rides included with tickets purchase. Disappointed I had to pay extra for interactive session with the Whales. Feeding the birds and fishes was fun as well.

Chad Adams

Our kids had an absolutely amazing time, best part was that the gift shop and restaurants did not price couch. Everything was reasonably priced

v twocheese

A bunch of attractions and rides are closed. Not worth going at this time unless you get the season pass upgrade for free, which we got.

Rick Harrison

It makes for an enjoyable day. The miniature deer and the bears were my favourite. I don't know what the rides are like as we were not interested in them.

David Cahill

Wonderful experience for all the family to see these magnificent animals in such a loving and educational environment. Looking around the big crowd it was great to see the look of wonder on peoples' faces. The benefit of being able to see these animals so close up is clear: it changes peoples' lives and their behaviors positively forever.

Karen Anderson

I would leave a negative if I could. This place needs to close. It is disgraceful how they treat the marine wildlife in their care. Time to work together to move these animals to a sanctuary where they can live out their lives in some type of peace, not in a cement tank for petty enjoyment. Support the whale sanctuary project to move these animals out of marineland.

Maria Peterson

Visited here in 1999 and it was hard on the heartstrings seeing the animals in such a sad place. Cant believe this torture show is still running. sad.

David Sloan

Everyone should visit this place at least once. You will need good walking shoes as this place is big . The sky mountain thingy is substantial it's quite the climb. Tons of free parking.

Arden Graham

For those denying the abuse and still bringing their children here, they were just criminally charged by Niagara Police... stop coming here let them shut down! You are part of the problem if you support this awful place.

Chris Clark

Marineland should be ashamed of yourselves. How can you treat animals the way you do humans are suppose to be understanding and compationate.Sometimes I can't believe that I am the same species as people such as yourself who torture animals by putting them in isolation for decades imagine how you would feel being alone for 30 to 40yrs or be forced to perform acts that are not normal for wildlife. You people are sad and the park should be shut down!Wish I could give you 0 stars

Idowu Ogunsulire

Its a great family experience. My kids really enjoyed the visit. The 'fish feeding' was the cherry on top for my kids. I hope to visit again. Highly recommended is you love marine animals.

Jesse Heckley

Don't go until they open up all their attractions and rides they still charge full price with no arcade and reduced staff lack of drinks no more Gatorade etc. Lemonade freeze not even open the gift shop closed. All 3 large ones closed seriously not kidding. I was very close to asking for a refund. If they reduced price by half it would be ok but still dissapointing. I've been before and everything was running and had less attractions at that time and it was way better and cleaner. The staff for maintenance also seems reduced. The burger and fries plate was great that at least was good. The penguin section is new but the aquariums inside are molded and rusty leaking all over and only half are used again missing out on attractions. Seriously if you are into getting a good experience for your money you won't get it right now. Another suggestion for the park would be to add a wave pool bc the kids park lacks luster.

MrCoolcustomer

We all loved it. + my son did something unexpected, you see, having ASD as well as other yet to be determined sensory issues, soo few things catches his attention for more than a couple of minutes. EVER! So when the Beluga, Sea Lion and Dolphin show came on and he paid attention for a whole 20 minutes, we were floored, it was amazing. When we took him underground to friendship cove and that other area to view these animals, my son reached out to them and they kept swiming by looking at him seemingly being just about as interested in him as he was with them. That preoccupied him another several minutes. To us, that's a minor Miracle. I don't have much critisism, I'm glad management allowed my son to skip lines using a bracelet. Otherwise my son would have a meltdown at every lineup and I wish to god more people can understand that there is absolutely no amount of parenting techniques can discipline patience in lineups with some ASD kiddo's as it's hard enough to teach that with those tots that do not have it. I'm also sorry that us skipping ahead caused some patrons to be disgruntled, but I am glad that the workers at Marine Land were able to explain the policy to them. Fortunately the issues this caused seemed to have been settled without having to explain to the world yet again of my son's special needs, which gets exhausting, so thank you for that. What would make this better? You can never go wrong with a splash pad, especially on a hot day. Perhaps marrying that with a live show would be stellar. One last thing, I've seen all the documentaries and I know about the protests. I didn't see any signs of animal abuse, they looked healthy and happy to me. Ok, I paid 100 bucks for 2 tickets, ok, those are big animals they have to take care of.

pilyokid

My kids loves the belugas, dolphins and the other animals there. A big plus was the fact that they can go to the kid friendly rides over and over without huge line ups!

John Riccio

The animals are very interactive and the ability to feed all the animals is great. You can feed bears, beluga whales(awesome) ,fish and others. We had a blast and it doesnt take up a whole day to complete everything. Plenty of time to enjoy and not rushed through.

Syed Alamdar

very helpful staff. sky screamer is a must if you are a thrill seeker. great dolphins and sea lion shows. good entertainment for both kids and adults.

Hibah Alnaimi

the tickets are expensive...almost 50 dollars! for 1 person..105 for the 2 of us..our baby is 18 months so he is free of charge the show was great...the food 50/50 I liked the chicken and hot dogs but not the burger not at all. the remaining is just like any other amusement parks so you basically is paying this much money for the show...it is better to plan your visit based on the show time..be early..long lines (it was weekend so probably lines are longer during weekends)

Mary P

If you have any empathy, avoid this place! I am hopeful these type of places are becoming more rare as time goes on....still, my heart goes out to my fellow creatures that are treated this way. Shame on them for putting profit before all else!

b de

It is alright, place is a little dated. Old rides and a decent stage show. Small zoo like area in back with here animals which if are close to the fence you can pet. Also you can feed black bears which they don't care what you bring them. Person at the counter said they'd eat anything.

Kevin Smith

Worst place to go. They leave animals in really poor conditions. I hope this place gets shut down for good, and the orca is sent somewhere else where she can thrive for the rest of her life.

Hailey Shaw

Such a horrible place! poor living conditions and lack of animal welfare! these marine animals need to be relocated as soon as possible. One orca has been living in solitary for 10 years! We need to make change!!!!!!

Manju Cherian

Lots of parking, and getting the season pass is well worth it. You can bring your own food and drinks, coolers, little sun tents, chairs.. we saw people who looked like they were going camping. Lots of washrooms, very clean and the food court is also very clean. The only downside was we couldn't find water to buy to drink. They had pop and other stuff but no water. Highly recommend walking with water and food. There aren't that many rides, but the ones that are there are fun. The animal show happens 3 times a day - 12pm, 3pm, 6pm. You dont have to line up but it's good to if you want a good centre or front row seat. The sea lions, bulooga whales and bottlenose dolphins are entertaining and put of a good show. The trainers look like they are working very hard. There is only 1 or a there, and the orca does not do any shows. O think that was the only depressing part, seeing an orca all by itself, going around in circles in a limited space and speed with no other orcas to socialize with. After that, we went to see the reindeer. Do not feed the reindeer grass as it hurts their stomach. You can prepare a veggie bag - apples, carrots, waffle cone, grapes, and popcorn and you will be allowed.to feed them. Please do not feed them junk food or leave garbage and wrappers around. There are other wildlife but we didnt get far. Our next stop was the sky screamer ride. This is a MUST DO!!!! The trek up the mountain is hard but you'll be at the top before you know it. Overall, a great place to hang out.

Joe Abass

Very fun and educational experience. There is lots to do with ur kids. Very smart animals. Is worth the trip

Omowunmi Oni

This is my first time visiting and am so excited to be here with my family. Well organized and safe place to enjoy.

Reema Reema

Let that whale go! You obviously can’t release it back into the ocean but u could transfer it to the states where it can have companions! THIS PARK NEEDS TO CLOSE DOWN

Janice Ott

This is the place making an Orca whale live alone, and she's resorted to banging her head against the enclosure. It's beyond cruel to keep her like this for our amusement . Humans aren't capable of giving her what she needs. I hope they will let her go live someplace where she can be with her own kind, and never do this to any other animal.

Kristin Baker

I haven't been to Marineland in many years. We took our 3 daughters this year and thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent there!

Natalia Danilova

Amazing place!???????? Very friendly staff and good service. The territory is very beautiful and clean. A lot of things to do, everything is very good maintained. Thank you so much that you loving what you do! Our children are delighted! See you soon ????

Jim Smith

Great place to go if you like to observe wildlife abuse. I was appalled at the conditions. :(

juliana saxon

Don’t give this place your money! Animals are in horrible conditions. Orcas in isolation for 10+ years!! 40 beluga whales in a tiny concrete tank! So incredibly sad and needs to be shut down for good. @breakingmarineland has a lot more if you want more reasons to hate this place!

May Nderitu

Fun packed with endless activities to be done. Food, rides, spectacular splash pad for the kids and a variety of animals. Get the season pass!!

Chris Hulugu

The dolphin shows are at 12:00, 15:00 and 18:30. So anyone visiting must prioritize all the activities around the dolphin show. -dolphin show was great; my kid loved it -Orcas are well hidden, must find them near beluga. -some attractions are closed off but given overall low attendance always all with no waiting lines which felt money was worth spend.

Cassie F

No I am not a fan of animals in cages either. BUT my daughter who's 7 and uses a wheelchair loves this place. They have a special needs bracelet that allows the wearer and support person to enter through the exit of the ride and go for two turns back to back. The customer service and friendly staff is great and helpful anyway they can. My only complaint would be that I have not being able to find a family bathroom ( besides the one for the splash pad) to allow brief changing for older individuals. Currently my kiddo does fit on the countertop like change tables they have. Almost all paths are very easily accesible by wheelchair, wagons etc.

Ben S

This is a great place to bring young kids, its not big, but you can spend a good chunk of the day with the show and the kiddie rides. Belugas are so friendly at friendship cove, they come up to greet you and whistle.

Baylie

Tanks weren’t clean when we went months ago & finding out things haven’t changed even after it being reported of them to be cleaned is pathetic. Animals come first not humans

Carol Thorburn

The rating only goes to the beautiful mammals we saw, the site is clean too but rides and attractions are too far apart. Some attractions were closed. The aquarium where they have fish was depressing, dirty, and the few fish they have look sick. The upper tank was empty where there was supposed to have sea lions

A Z

Very nice family day. A lot of activities. Be ready for long walks and get lots of food and drinks as there are many places for picnics. Unfortunately many attractions were closed because of the renovations . But I think it’ll be even better after the work gets done. We loved the show. It was funny but a little bite brief.

Shelby Dow

It is a great place for younger kids under 15 but for older, it is not very entertaining unless you really love animals. There are not that many rides at the amusement park. It is not too busy so there was not many line ups for the rides and shows. I really enjoyed the performance that they had with the dolphins and whales. The performance is something to see. It is amazing to see the trainer riding on the dolphins and whales. One got to ride on the whales nose. Great place to visit on a sunny day. Loved seeing the animal making kisses to and audience. It has a lot of trinkets to buy. The photo I have posted is a magnet for the fridge. Clean place, great food, good atmosphere.

Priya Yoga

Due to covid many rides aren't open yet busy good for families to spend time with young kids. Washrooms are clean pretty much. In future they may add more rides, if they build a wave pool that would be more attractive for families.
