Beautiful views, Twillingate is a lovely place

Twillingate is a lovely place to visit in Newfoundland. We arrived on a cloudy day but as soon as we reached the lighthouse, the sun surprised us with a lovely shine. The cliffs are beautiful and the waves create a nice atmosphere when kissing the shores.

The weather wasnt great, foggy and windy, the trails hadnt melted yet so didnt get a reall good chance to look around. Easy enough to get to, just make sure you use a GPS or google maps. The town's in the area are cool to drive through, boggles the mind where you can put a house!

Lighthouse was pretty. It was 10 dollars a person to go in, which we found pretty expensive as a group of 9... so we skipped that. There are lots of beautiful ocean views and paths around the tops of the cliffs (Keep a super close eye on your kids, there's no fences to stop them from tripping and falling over) the view is incredible though! Small gift shop and an ice cream parlor are located there too.

This is why we want to explore Canada, site seeing opportunities like this. If in the Twillingate area we highly recommend taking the time to check this location. Once your done with site seeing and hiking then there is the ice cream/fudge/gift shop, if you're into that sort of thing.

They let you climb up to the top of the lighthouse, beautiful view 360 degrees. Nominal entry fee includes exhibit on the Titanic. Gift shop and snack bar as well in the grounds.

Long Point Lighthouse is a beautiful building. There are several observation decks around from where you can observe the beauty of the North Atlantic Ocean. There are also a few plaques with information about your surroundings.

Save your money and just visit the grounds. The Titanic exhibit was somewhat interesting, but the "tour" to the top of the lighthouse was basically someone leading you up the stairs to take a picture.

I am absolutely disappointed in the tour of the lighthouse today. We were expecting a tour of the lighthouse that would be an information tour. We got nothing. We asked about the Ghost of the lighthouse and was told ‘that’s what they say’. If you can’t share the history don’t charge. We paid almost $50.00, what a waste of money.

Hi I'm always amazed with our shore line of our beautiful province. In those pics you have the Long Point lighthouse and a view of the water and the rugged shore line. Also there's a boat coming in close to shore it's Iceberg Guest boat tour and the captain is giving the experience of a life time. Out of Twellingate

The view was beautiful! Very rugged coast. Trails along the coast. Lighthouse and display required admission fee. The craft shop has some neat stuff and FUDGE! We sampled a few ...and bought some. It is so tasty! The shop keeper is friendly and helpful.

The Lighthouse is beautiful! The view from the top is breathtaking. However, the tour of the lighthouse was terrible and they should not be charging money for someone to simply escourt you down a hallway to a staircase and back. Our tour guide lead the way to the staircase and followed us to the top. He barely spoke to us and was not knowledgable when we asked questions. I would have even been happy if he had just made up a ghost story - anything to entertain us on the "tour"! He did tell us as we were leaving that there were printed articles available on a table, if we wanted more info. There is also a Titanic Storyboard Exhibit and a model of the Titanic. But no tour guide for that area either.
