Beautiful view of the city of Montreal. I usually get vertigo from high heights, but I felt comfortable up there (just a little dizzy). There's a cute boutique up there as well.

This tower is so ugly and I would add that to observe Montreal from above it is better to go to Mount Royal because it is not only more beautiful but also free.

A bit pricey, but the experience is definitely worth it. You get to ride to the top observation level and look out over Montreal from the south, west, and east sides for as long as you want. The viewing telescopes are complimentary. You should note that if you enter from the southern side of the Olympic park complex, the path to the entrance isn't very well marked; you will need to briefly go back towards the Insectarium to reach the path.

Kind of cool to go up here. It goes up in an interesting way because it's angled. It's a slow ride up but it doesn't go up that high so you can kind of enjoy that journey.

Definitely a place to visit when you tour Montreal. You get to see the entire city. I would recommend standing in the front of the elevators to the top to get the amazing view of the stadium underneath.

Tall tower with a nice view, it isn't open air but rather only through panelled glass. Though you can get a similar view for free from the top of Mount royal summit. There's a funiclaire that goes all the way to the top. The tickets are slightly expensive (23.5cad for adults and 18.5 for students for just the tower). Can spend 30 minutes clicking pictures and looking around

If you're a fan of the Olympics and its history, this is worth checking out. You'll get a good view of the area from far above. While it's a little expensive (hence the 4 stars) the kids will enjoy the view and so will you.

As is the case will all towers, it looked like it was a lot higher on the ground than it actually was. The top still has some fantastic views of Greater Montréal (when it's not overcast or raining that is). There's also a little gift shop. You cannot enter or leave whenever you like. You must wait until staff calls up the one elevator they have for the tower. Don't come here if you're tight on time.

Too expensive for a meagre and rather rundown experience. Not even a bar upstairs only a gift shop. Dirty windows, hardly any background information and no possibility to go outside. Visiting the rest of the stadium is another 20$. Not worth it. View is nice but only in the lift itself.

There is a lift on the outside of the tower that can take you all the way to the top for great views - otherwise the tower itself is amazing for photos!

Seems like an amazing spot in Montreal. Unfortunately, the funicular was out of order when we visited, but we only found out about this after we had parked in the paid parking lot of Olympic park (wasted $8 per car!). I would suggest that the management use signs to indicate to those who are about to enter the parking lot that the funicular of the tower is closed, in order to avoid unnecessary confusion and wasted money (unless they purposefully didn’t put up signs in order to steal people’s money, which would be dishonest and rude to say the least).

Must place to visit if you are visiting for the first time

The 7-day Tour East Bus trip that I'm traveling on stopped here; we have 50 tourists in our group. The $222.50 attractions package includes access to the Whale Watching Boat Tour, Thousand Island Boat Tour, Hopewell Rocks, Maritime Museum, etc., of which this attraction is one of the experiences. Known by many names such as the Olympic Tower or the Montreal Tower, this inclined tower structure features an observatory at a height of over 170 meters or 558 feet. The stadium was built for the 1976 Summer Olympic Games. A quick trip up the tower and then back down again can be accurately summed up by the pun word (or nationality) Russ...ian! In its time, the tower was an engineering marvel. It's still a must see monument if you're visiting.

The tower is interesting, and the elevator is fun. Comparing other similar towers, the view of Montreal is not great, as it is located distant from the Montreal CBD. Effectively the view is over the tops of low density housing, small industrial warehouse sheds, with the River, bridges and CBD buildings in the distance.

The view is nice, and the ride up is fun for the kids, but apart from that there is not much to do here. The whole place looks delapidated as if forgotten for the last 40 years. Go here if you have free time and visiting other attractions nearby (botanical garden, planetarium, insectarium).

Ride up in the double decker gondola was a little bumpy. Fantastic panoramic views and a small souvenir shop at the top. But a coffee shop would have been ideal, plus I thought there's space for one.

Nothing like a view from the top. If you are a college student make sure you bring your student ID for that nice discount. $15 to view history and one of the best views of the city. Check out the gift shop as it makes you long for the days of the Montreal Expos

What a unique ride to the top. Spectacular views from the funicular (or is it an inclined elevator?) as well as from the top of the tower. We got there around 930 am on a Saturday and were lucky enough to have the elevator to ourselves both going up and down. This was worth the subway ride from downtown.

This was overall a neat attraction. You can buy tickets online or inside the stadium, at its northern tip near the Biodome. We bought observatory tickets only, instead of combo tickets for other park attractions. After the usual security check, you take a two-minute funicular ride to the top and once you're up there, you can stay for as long as you want. The 360-degree view was amazing as expected. You'll see downtown Montreal and its skyline, the sprawling suburbs, the St. Lawrence, and the Botanical Garden. There is a small gift shop but no restaurant. We were here for an hour. One unfortunate thing about the view of the downtown skyline - if you like photography, forget about clear, postcard-worthy pictures. On a sunny day, the view will be glary because the side of the observatory directly facing the downtown area is at the sun's path for most of the daytime hours. On the opposite side, you'll get clear pictures, but the view of the suburbs is not as picture-worthy.
