I walked in about a km and did not find anything interesting but just trees and a kind of a running water. Keep an eye on kids if along because its too dangerous near the water as there is no safety boundary. I would not prefer to visit again that isolated jungle.

This little-known but quite large park in North East Montreal provides a total natural forest setting. It lacks benches to sit or garbage bins to put your dog poop bags. The little brook down steep inclines is pretty and the fall colours are stupendous. The city is planning a complete overhaul of the area in the near future.

Jayashree

One small cascade was there. The park was good. Cycling paths and walking trails were there. The water area was not as much clean or nice compared to other water areas in and around Montreal.

Belle surprise :)

(Translated) Nice little quiet park well maintained with little traffic. There are trails to go down to stream level, however they are all pretty steep. Only downside, there are no benches to sit at the rest areas, just big rocks. There are however racks for bicycles. Suitable for both hikers and cyclists. There is no ban for animals. Taking your time, it takes about twelve minutes to cross it on foot.

Claudia

Certainly not in my top 10 picks, nonetheless worth mentioning. It does have some charm thanks to the slow cascading brook deep below. Careful how you get to appreciate this water feature because the area is not the easiest to manoever. The path is a very good one to walk. Other than two uncomfortable picnic tables, there is very little seating capacity. Looking forward to this small nature park by the autoroute blossom in years to come. Note: There is another entrance point from Boulevard Perras.

Chris Archambault

I used to go for a walk there with my gramps and he always joked that it was haunted or filled with giant anaconda snakes. I was small back then so the tiny spiders I've seen felt like giant dino-sized tarantulas bruh Jokes aside sometimes I just go back here to take a break. It's kind of hard to explain but the air feels/tastes WAY better than the air downtown or anywhere near cars. Def recommend for a breather.

(Translated) If you are in Montreal and would like to see a corner of nature, make the detour! It's really worth a look! The park as such deserves a little more maintenance in my humble opinion. Still, venturing off the beaten track will provide you with an out-of-the-ordinary experience. We feel the spirit of the nature of Montreal that is unfortunately increasingly rare nowadays. With the extension of the highway the place has lost some of its charm but still cash well with its relief and its prominent vegetation.

Great walking path. Good place to learn about plants and trees. Opened even in winter. If you step outside the path you will be treated by a nice waterfall which unfortunately has a terrible smell. It's the only sad thing about it. You kind of forget you're in the city, only reminded because you can see and hear the Hwy 25 when the leaves have fallen in the fall/winter or early spring. Worth a detour!

André Ledoux

(Translated) A park-nature correct, without more. No access to the creek. Absolutely nothing is highlighted. A single path that follows the river, without ever seeing it. We have to improvise a path to get to the water. Once arrived at the water, we meet people with hobbies out of the ordinary. (Translated) I put two stars ... No, not one star. It is NOT a natural park. It is a park with kek gravel paths without more. There are also garbage cans but none, NONE (Did I say NONE?!?) REST AREAS! First, You are coming, no parking! Usually nature parks have parking lots. Second, no chalet. So no toilets, access to drinking water and nothing! Third, everything is let go. There was a "BICYCLE FORBIDDEN" sign but visually inaccessible! Cyclists don't see it it's on! Fourth, there is no access to water! There seems to be a lookout but ... How do you get there?!? Usually a REAL natural park there are signs that guide us, a park warden, a chalet, parking ... It is neither more nor less than a beaten path delivered to citizens who visit it at their own risk! And on the quiet side, there is the service road of the 25 and the cars pass and it is noisy. I wanted to sit and draw while enjoying the view ... No way no bench or table at Picnic anywhere. I am bitterly disappointed! Comment on y accède?!?

(Translated) My wife, my daughter and I went for a photo shoot of my wife's pregnancy while she was pregnant with our 2nd child. A very charming place when you venture into the trails. The reception is rather cold when you arrive. A building in the middle of a large lot where the only big trees are on the outskirts of the land. My first impression was not very favorable but once engaged in the trails, we found the place really very pretty and pleasant. A park in town that is worth seeing. (Translated) The idea of a walk in this park seemed poetic. A stream and a fall, in Montreal? In fact, it is a neglected park. I guess it's a good thing to give way to nature, but it's not interesting to visit. Access to the creek near the falls is fenced. There has already been a concrete staircase once, but it is destroyed and the descent is a little dangerous. The "fall" itself is located at the bottom of where we see the sign indicating that Hydro-Québec participated in the project, we imagine in the distant past. It's all ready for the marker in Google Map. All along the trail, there are small steep paths to see the stream, but .. bof. The main path, in sand and rock is o.k. for jogging, but a bit ugly for bicycles. It is a curiosity but not worth the detour.

(Translated) Not very pretty and not even impressive. Lack of maintenance and it is only the fall of the stream that saves the bland atmosphere of this park haha (Original) Pas très joli et même pas impressionnant.

Most people stay on the main road of the Ruisseau de Montigny Nature Park. If you decide to do the same, you will most likely be disappointed by your visit. If you are slightly adventurous, preferably accompanied, you will get off the main path and start exploring the woods. This is where you will discover the real beauty of this park. The sound of water streams and the sight of beaver dams while still in a city park will enchant most visitors. A word of advice, wear light long pants and long sleeves and spray a generous amount of bug spray on exposed skin.

Beautiful water.

(Translated) You absolutely have to go and see the two waterfalls. There is a wrought iron fence which limits access but further on you will find trails that go down and you will then have access to the two waterfalls which are a 3 minute walk from each other. Fascinating place not by its splendor but the unusual side of finding it in the city.

(Translated) The main path is wide and maintained, but it is also possible to move closer to the stream, which is also very pleasant to observe the avian fauna of the place (chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, ducks).

This is a hidden gem, if you are willing to get off the main trail and hike through the woods. The paths are narrow with a lot of overgrowth, but lovely and the little river is such a delight with the small waterfalls. I saw some interesting birds here as well. I suggest long pants or bug spray and good shoes.

There were 2 entrance: Perras Blvd. or Maurice Duplessis Blvd. If you're driving a car, there's a free street parking just infront of the entrance. It's a nice piece of nature: you can see & hear the birds chirping, a nice cascading water, nice shades & fresh air. A friend of mine spotted a baby fox here last early spring. You will see people jogging, walking with their dogs & people in bicycles. This park is open even in winter. My kids experience their "first hike" in here without leaving the city. This is our to-go place if we want to walk around (we live nearby).

(Translated) It is a peaceful place, especially during the day until the end of the afternoon. After that is another story. I will not go into details. But now, there is police surveillance more often. And also bike patrol. Since there are seniors who walk every day of the day at this park.
