Long lines even during weekdays. They make all the cars line up but when a tour bus comes through they get to go first. Don't they realize how dangerous is it to let a 50K pounds bus roll down the hill on neutral while people filming outside? Nothing magical about the hill, it was just an optical illusion, what looks up is really just down.
The hill experience is fun, wild sensation. We didn't get to try all the other attractions but the shop area was nice as well
Cool illusion. Only went for the hill and did not visit zoo
The hill is sn illusion and its a rip off i dont recommend at all But the zoo was small and cute
Cool touristy stop.. Lots of entertainment.. Could spend two days there
It's definately worth trying the hill. It's fairly cheap ($6 when I went) and you get through pretty quickly. Was raining when I went and it didn't diminish the experience at all.
Perfect and nice place for pleasure time..
Great experience , worth a visit ..
This is literally a 2-minute event where you pay $6 to be directed downhill then told when to put your car in neutral and see your car travelling "up". It's a pretty neat illusion. They kind of are pushing it making it $6 but I suppose it contributes to the area. I haven't seen anything like it before. There are signs detailing how the illusion works and a gift shop with the regular Canadian tacky toys. There were also ducks their ducklings and I paid 0.25 cents to buy corn and feed them. It was a fun, quick touristy destination.
Wow.... it's so cool....my car went more than 20kms/hr backwards uphill..,..????
Fun to do once. Can't drive by here without stopping in to try.
Fun little place but don't drive backwards. It's just awkward. After trying the magnetic hill go to the little town in the park to read about it and try their lobster chips (amazing)!
If you see the illusion it is great. If you see the actual slop it seem hokey. I see the illusion and loved it.
We went on this attraction 3 times and still couldn't figure that out.
It's a funny thing to visit, but asking people to pay for it might be a bit too much.
the hill itself is a quick and fun experience but there is a lot more fun to be found here (including a zoo and a Waterpark) we went on the hill twice, once in reverse and the other time facing forward. such a trip. looks like you're facing up a hill but you actually roll as if going downhill. fun experience.
Did this on a motorcycle. Was amazing. Did it 4 times (forwards). Amazing every time! Surrounding area looks like great fun for families with children, all kinds of activities.
Great for kids, neat to see and say you were there.
Went around 6pm during the week. Nobody was there so we went a few times. Didn't cost a thing.?
fun experience how crazy to have your car pulled up.a hill backwards !
Interesting, but not a must-do. We enjoyed seeing it as it was on our way to other adventures, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it. Pros: - Only $6 per car - We went in the off season so we could pass through three or four times uninterrupted - Interesting optical illusion, and brochure to explain how it works Cons: - Only lasts a minute - Exit was a bit tricky to find
It's a neat optical illusion, but that's it. I'm sure it would be pretty great with the right people. I mostly was there for the zoo, that part was pretty awesome! For 9 bucks I got to see Lions, tigers, and bears! It was a great time
I have to say, when we arrived at the "top" of the hill I was underwhelmed. I drove to the white post and put the car in neutral and took my foot off the brake, and we rolled "up" the freakin' hill!!!
Free. Quick attraction. Attached to amusement area with restaurants
Cute wharf Great place for families Friendly staff
Really cool natural phenomenon! You should give it a try. It's free after hours and only takes a few minutes (unless you try it over and over again, cuz it's fun).
I was mad because it was closed. But this place is worth to being see. Illusion or nature phenomena you decide... many interesting things for kids and families...????????????
The hill was fun. We enjoyed the nearby "wharf" had a snack and an ice cream in a picturesque and relaxed setting.
Very cool but can be crowded, so be prepared to wait. Definitely worth it.
Don’t fully understand the concept still but appreciated that it was free !
I was a bit skeptical of going here, but the car actually did seem to roll up the hill ???? I was both amused and impressed.
This is so cool! Its neat how the hill will pull your car up it!
Nice place. Don’t have to pay to experience the magnetic hill anti gravity experience but there may be queue depending on the day and time of the day. The cafeteria is expensive though.
A must visited place once in your lifetime. The position of the road will make an illusion of ascending.
So fun!! Great little shops too.
For me it's a childhood memory and got to relive it this summer with my family. Pretty cool natural effect.
The actual patch of ground is slightly concave. Someone with a decent eye sight can easily detect the slope down where the "supposed" magic happens. It is nothing more than a hoax and they charge $6 for one visit!! TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT yes, the magnetic hill ground and the shops around the area are worth recreation. It is like any other recreational campground. Nothing too special about it though. Wouldnt recommend wasting your money and time at this place AT ALL
For $6 you get a thrill in feeling your car roll backwards up hill. It's worth it.
This is really neat to check out. I have been there twice. This time with our 5 year old who found d it fascinating and couldn't stop asking questions about it. You may have bit of a wait as only one car gets to go at a time but it's a place you don't want to miss.
Very cool place. Get there late in the day and it's free.
Must see. Take a ball or a bottled water with you. If you put down on the ground, it will roll up the hill. Amazing!
What an amazing first time experience for me! The animals were SO active and it wasn't too busy when I went! I highly recommend this zoo! It's not too big, but big enough to cover the animals we all love!
Totally worth the low price and the short time needed to experience this.
The effect is amazing! However the whole thing doesn't last very long. If you see a long queue of cars, you may want to come back at a better time.
cool hill that brings your car backwards up what looks like a hill but really it isnt.... hard to explain but I'm sure one of the attendants can do a better job at explaining it in person . it's a cool phenomenal trick and it's worth the 6$ they charge . they also let you examine the hill if your curiosity get the better of you
Interesting place for everyone. Only did the hill and the warf area. But the rest of the area looks great for a day trip.
Great optical illusion. Must see. No waiting and friendly staff. We finished the day by spending time in the zoo next door.
Very limited menu and not real happy with the meal. Would not recommend the seafood chowder, if not canned, very close in taste and contents! Sorry!
$6 for a ride down a hill! Wasn't worth it.
Great place to hangout for a few hours even in the rain we had stuff to do
Everyone should try this its once in a lifetime experience .just turn off the engine and put it in neutral and it will pull your vehicle uphill either you forward or reverse i did both ive been here twice with family and friends to let them experience to.when reach the top thats time to start the engine and go or leave theres some shops on the right side also..go and try you'll love it ????
The actual fact is even better than the theories. Worth the trip and $6
We heard the hill wasn't anything special but we thought it was really neat! It is an extremely convincing illusion, we went up and down several times!
Very cool! If you're in the area I recommend checking it out.
Good place to visit. Not as special as YOU may expwct.
Fake magnetic don't spend 6 dollars and your time.
Incredible literally. Still does not make sense to the naked eye.....
Although the hill is an optical illusion, it was still quite the experience. The souvenir shops had a very good selection of merchandise for the theme park, some of the articles were a little pricey. There is a restaurant that served up a very wicked very lightly breaded haddock. I was disappointed that frozen fries were served instead of real fries. However the meal experience was still a very good one. Should the wife and I venture back this way, we will definitely return to experience Magnetic Hill and the restaurant.
Fun place to try
Only lasts about 15 seconds but worth the 6$. Very cool illusion. Did not disappoint!!
I didn't get the thrill of rolling down a hill backwards. But if you go near closing time they will let you do it for free
Hey... It must be checked from your bucket list!! :-). Great for kids, few seconds from highway.
Must see attraction. Was totally blown away and still don't understand how this is possible!
Horrible place. Do not ever go here if you value your health and family safety. Equivalent to Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansa City where Caleb Thomas Schwab, the son was killed while riding the Verruckt ride at - August 7th.
Amazing place to see the natural mistry.
Really cool, it pulled my car uphill pretty fast. Visited the zoo here afterwards on a road trip.
Awesome. Not sure how but it worked. We got up to 19km/hr in neutral pulled up hill backwards in an suv. Happy times.
Driving through Moncton we decided to stop just to see what all the hype was about. We paid our $6 to put our car in neutral and were actually quite impressed. We had low expectations so any movement probably would have been impressive but it really did feel like we were rolling up hill. We did not get a chance to check out the surrounding complex but it looked impressive. You could really make a day out of it.
Don’t understand the $6 charge to drive down a road.. it was a pretty cool illusion and still don’t understand how it works lol
This was an absolutely mind blowing experience. We drove over 15 hours from St. Catharines, Ontario with the express purpose of seeing the magnetic hill, and it did not disappoint. We drove up it 47 times the first day, 38 times the second day, 53 times the third day, and 28 times the forth day, and each time was more incredible than the last. I'm still having trouble sleeping at night thinking about the stunning illusion that has been blowing people's minds for decades. We are planning on returning again as soon as possible so that we can see the rest of the sights that magnetic hill has to offer.
Great place to meet up with friends and family. Recently refurbished! Had an ice cream there, the flavor of which I didn't enjoy as much as I hoped.
Great place to visit.
You have to try it once, at $6 per car, why not! It's pretty cool.
A quick attraction. Pretty amusing optical illusion.
The hill rocked but i had a hard time justifying the costs which just pay for people to read signs off to me. Could have been cheaper. Also would be nice to tell people there is a price before getting to a gate.
Surprising fun and current. The new look along with the main draw still amazing visitors makes this a great place to bring the family. Besides the hill itself, the updated boutiques have lots for everyone to find a souvenir. Just remember that if you plan to try Magnetic Hill itself, the cost is $6 and is not posted before you enter.
Fun stuff. You think you're climbing up a little hill, or a flat stretch, but in reality instead, gravity is pulling you down. It's rather strange to warp your head around it, hence it's an illusion. What you see is not what's happening.
It was a cool experience and the kids loved it the most! It was so fun watching the kids getting excited over thr fact the cars going uphill alone. We tried it with putting water on the pavment and it also went up. A very cool experience that we'll never see again!
Saw this in 1977, so please bear that in mind while reading. Back then, it was only the road with a gift shop on the side. You would go to the Magnetic Hill Road, put your car into neutral, then watch it roll in the opposite direction as you’d think. I was just a kid when I saw this, but we were all amazed. We drove on it, but it wasn’t as remarkable as watching someone’s car roll “uphill”, as it appeared. We bought a bumpersticker and it was on the car until it died in 1980. Nobody else in New Orleans had ever heard of “Magnetic Hill” so it often got questions. I remember the people there were so incredibly nice and friendly; I am thrilled to see this area has developed as a full blown entertainment complex. But when I was there, it was just the crazy car rolling uphill trick - and I still remember it 42 years later. Well worth your time. I give it five stars just for the hill; the rest of the facilities look fantastic. Maybe I’ll bring my grandson there someday.
Not much to it for 6$ per car.
Hill is neat to see however you have to pay to ride a car on it.
The optical illusion is very convincing! I can see why this is considered a great tourist attraction.
Had a ton of fun on this! Got great video! A family pulling a camper did this and it was a hoot to watch!
Nice place to visit, lots of attractions in 1 area
Still unable to comprehend the explanation that the post down the hill is actually 10 feet above. I was expecting that the trees would have a tilt, but no.... natural wonder..
This spot took my mind away , what a strange feeling that I could not bust . I still can not explain it. Go you will be amazed .
A real brain teasing experience, our family enjoyed rolling up in our rental backwards on the hill... unassisted? (this is all debatable of course).
Just went to check out the new boardwalk at Magnetic Hill. Sweet little boutiques. They are still painting and fixing up some buildings. Wished the Beaver Tails shop was there for a snack.
Just to go on the hill now. It cost 6$ a car. That’s just so stupid ????????♀️
Optical illusion... pretty cool at your first try, till you make sense of the physics.
Wow very good kids loved it.
Cute attraction and warf village. Not something you need to spend a whole day there. We went after dark and there were no line ups to drive up the hill. The illusion is cool and it does really seem like you're rolling uphill. The attraction is open even if the village is closed.
We went to the zoo before the in season and had a blast its changed a lot since I was young but still love it
Pretty neat. Bit pricey for a 2 min experience but that's what tourism is all about haha! I do enjoy the quality of the optical illusion.
So much fun! Kids had a blast, we got to tell them all about the "giant magnet" in the hill. Would definitely suggest stopping by if your driving through the area.
Interesting illusion. Does cost $6 but they need staff to control the traffic otherwise it would be a mess of tourists.
Pretty interesting place if you're in a regular car do not go in here if you're in a motor home or towing a trailer
$6/car, pretty cool. Check it out when in Moncton NB. Nice little tourist village with a few shops, restaurant and ice cream bar. Also water park and zoo which we did not visit.
Kind of cool having your car go backwards up a hill but there's usually a bit of a lineup and the experience is pretty short.
This was fun and truly interesting. We are believers! We coasted our car to the bottom of the hill and were pulled up again almost as fast as we rolled down. Wonderful!
The staffs are very friendly. They will tell you what to expect and will guide you properly. They dont tell you that instead of reversing you can make a u-turn and go forward at the bottom of the hill. I asked if I could and they agreed.
Fun, but not worth the cost.
A very simple but fun amusement. If you're in the area, you should check it out.
Impossibly bad. Drive slightly uphill, then let your car roll backwards. One star for tricking me to pay $6. At least it doesn't waste too much of your time.
Fun for the whole family even though we only did the hill and not the zoo or the water park!
Nice experiece and lots to see. The zoo is amazing
Very short. Not for those who scared of going back ward
I was skeptical and wasnt really interested... Then we tried it! I was super impressed! Very very cool!
Very neat. Must see
Fun! Kids loved it. Was free when we went (around 7 pm).
Was neat, but dissapointed in its moderation. @ 6$ a car 20 minute line up and no prices or website to be found anywhere. Remember its an optical illusion based on area terrain.
Not a bad attraction. With the 6 dollars. There is also a wharf with a restaurant, gift shops and washrooms. A bit further down but part of the same complex there is a zoo and a water park (separate entrance fees)
Well organized but dumb. A seamless way to part you from $6. The whole thing is clearly an optical illusion but it's not a very good one, especially considering you have to accelerate to get to the 'bottom' of the hill...
Have you ever gone in reverse on a hill before? Have you ever paid $6 to do it? It's definitely not worth it! It's not worth your time or your money!
tip: We did this in October, late in the day, when there was no one around to charge us a fee. So we did it over, and over again, backward, forward, stopping and starting, etc. etc. Lots of fun, especially when it's free. Glad no one was around to film a bunch of seniors acting like kids.
Great place to bring kids for all ages. Arcade is (small but fun) token based to claim prizes, outdoor carnival games and rides, putput golf, waterslides and wavepool. There is also a zoo and a small wharf style shopping eating area.
Seems very cheesy but I actually recommend it, even for adults. Very interesting how it works
It's a nice enough experience to do at least once.
Friendly and very informative employees with safety as the first rule. Keep it up
Scientific miracle except that the drivers would experience it more than the passengers. But a must have experience for one-time if you are not keen on exploring the reason for the occurrence. Affordable. Parking and a small ice cream parlor available.
Very interesting place to visit if you're in town.
Since they have redone it, it is very nice! Herat place to spend the evening
Pretty cool optical illusion. $6/car
Great place to spend time with family.
The hill is anti-climactic. Very touristy with a water park now.
Long wait for a couple of minutes but a must do at least once to experience it.
Worth the money, very cool for the whole family.
Magnetic hill is a great place to bring your family
Very fun magnetic hill, zoo and water park are very nice to be at summer, kids friendly.
It was fun for adults and children :)
Newly renovated shops and attractions. Fun for all ages. Adults have your car pulled uphill by the magnetic hill. Lots of local produce from art to tasty treats. Cafe, candy store, souvenirs, and more.
Nothing great. Can be experienced if coming to Moncton
It's an awesome illusion
Wonderful place to visit. The allusion certainly makes one think
Even if you just do the magnetic hill, you'll have fun (only 6 bucks). The area has so much to do though. Tons of fun for the kids.
Worth checking off the bucket list but a bit of a rip-off to pay to do
Really impressive, and true! Worth the 5 min experience and it's free.
Interesting going up the hill. It’s cheap. $6 as if 2018.
Cute experience. Come on a day with nice weather though to enjoy the village
Plenty of family friendly amusement in one area
We went there on a Sunday and the admission was free. The kids loved it and it was a fun attraction. It was an awesome experience. We found it was more fun to go backwards up the hill. Wharf village had some nice gift shops.
So much fun there
Amazing experience, it was intriguing even after knowing the reason. Must visit!
Really great time for the price. Only did the zoo and magnetic hill illusion. Good amount of animals to see. The hill illusion was really cool. Would go again for sure
Its an amazing wonder that everyone needs try once!
Sunset at Saint John river, NB - On the dock of the Delta Marriott hotel
nice place to see with the family. they have all different types of attractions for all ages.
Good prices, friendly people, delicious food, great scenery. The whole experience was relaxing.
Fun, we did it 3 times for $6
6 dollars to go down a closed off road. Are you for real? It was neat but not worth 6 dollars. This used to be free.
Wonderful place, very good experience.
Good optical illusion, go check it out yourself!
It is cool trick but it expansive just for tiny hill.
Quick stop. Worth the cost of admission. If there is no line up, do it again! ????
it is fun, but i expected more explaination about this, not just drive through to feel it.
Interesting if your in the area. There's an amusement park with water park and Go carts and a few other things great if your traveling with kids or you adults
Nice little thrill. Worth the admission fee.
My wife and I as drivers appreciated the novelty of Magnetic Hill our son 7 really didn't care about the Hill itself. Or that we needed to pay to wait in line for the 'ride'. What was a hit was the Zoo and amusement park that are more the tourist draw for families. If we weren't staying in Moncton for a day we would not have gone and would not have traveled out of our way to see it.
Illusion is nice but the wait in your car for this to happen is madening. I'm on vacation traffic was not my bag.
It really in a good experience. When I visited they had shut down for the season but left it open for people to drive through. There were no other cars around so I did it a few times but each time it was a surprise as is really is quite an illusion.
Fun park to bring kids and adults! Just wish that the big magnet was still there from when I was little ... I remember seeing it when I was a kid but it was no longer there when I went this year.
pretty cool. make sure you ignore that instinct to hit your brakes while going backwards and keep straight until the top of hill (unless someone gets in your way)
Good place to visit wish they still had the train rides
Very neat. A must stop if in the area. This is a fantastic optical illusion created by the surrounding lay of the land. I recommend doing the zoo and boardwalk on the same day. Makes for a great afternoon.
This is definitely a tourist trap. It's cool to see but once you know why it happens it takes away from the overall experience. If you're in the area and you have time to kill, it's worth it to check out.
I love the way they build the house each one it's Unique in its own way
Crazy experience that defies your eyes. Doesn't last long but is pretty cool!
Cool experience with the car!
This place is a blast- I truly enjoy the visual effect.
It is fun to do. Just explain to the older kids that it is an optical illusion afterwards and the reason behind it????. Smaller kids can have their own imagination. We went there after 6PM and it was not crowded and were able to drive multiple times. Just drive back in the line.
Very cool thing to check out while in the area. Cheap and cheerful. Everyone was so polite and friendly.
Warf village is awesome! Cute little shops, restaurant is pretty average, but sitting on the patio in the summer is great!
The optical illusion of Magnetic Hill is worth seeing
Had a trouble with navigation. But worth watching.
Very cute and classic thing to do when visiting Moncton. The optical illusion is fascinating, especially the first time you do it.
Go past park closing and you can so this for free. There were 3 drivers and we each took a turn.
Neat! Got in for free as it was left open before regular hours.
$6 to drive on it, pretty cool effect, drags you up hill against gravity it seems!
Not much for slides but wasn't bad
Fairly disappointed in this "optical illusion", do not spend money on this. From the way people make it sound, you park at the bottom of a hill and "magic" pulls your vehicle up a hill. Couldn't be further from the truth. You park at the bottom where there is a hill in front and a hill behind and your car "magically" starts rolling backwards. Its called gravity/physics.
Children swimming pool.
Just so much fun for $6!!!
A well known and liked Moncton attraction. A small charge is required (years ago it was free). There is a theme park here.
So many things to do, too little time to do them all!
Incredible (and fun) experience.
Must visit in Moncton!
It's a pretty neat optical illusion. You're paying $6 for a 15-20 minute wait time and a 1 minute experience but I think it's definitely worth a try atleast once.
Weirdly awesome.
Cool place to visit. Could have been better there was information on how the phenomenon works, adds more value for money.
This isn't a review for the waterpark. Just magnetic hill itself. Kinda cool, it works. Won't do it again. It's worth it to do once but won't go back. Now the theme park is definitely worth going to
A place must be visited in Moncton. Its a theme park with mini zoo. They charge $7.00 per car for the magnetic pulling hill alone. Even though its just an optical illusion, you will, for sure, amazed. Couple of advice though. Don't come on reverse. Turn your car around and try to come forward uphill. Don't brake at the top of the hill (as everyone does) , let the car go as much as on its own in neutral. Only now you will realize the optical illusion. Try once more if you have time. You can do as many time as you wish but you have to come on line again. Enjoy
Really enjoy our visit at the zoo, staff are super friendly and light at the zoo is very well maintain and lots of work and effort put to it .
Fun, especially going back down from the opposite side forwards and passing a bus while going 60 8n neutral! Would go back, especially when it's free after hours.
This was as thrilling as it was when I was a kid, and that was 50 years ago !!
6 bucks for a minute of rolling backwards. I guess it's something that tourists have to do.
It is a good activity if you have just a little time. The price is $6 not $5 like it states online. We ended up doing it twice because my kids paid to try it again. They were in awe. Go early in the morning as the rest of the day can get busy.
The magnetic hill was a cool.experience. the godlft shops were ok with local arts and crafts.
I know it's an optical illusion, but it's still pretty neat to see.
Apparently it's just an optical illusion, but It still doesn't make sense. Things roll up hill. ????♀️
Shorter than I thought it would be but still a side neat side trip off the highway.
Okay geniuses - why can't you just go and experience it for what it is instead of ruining it for everyone. It's a surreal feeling to have your 4 ton truck being dragged up the hill. Only a few places in the world offer this illusion so you might as well enjoy it when you're in the neighbourhood. The staff working there are pleasant and welcoming. You can even repeat as often as you like to left you try and figure out the illusion. Even though infographics explain the phenomenon as something to do with not seeing the horizon, your eyes still try to fool you and that's part of the fun of it.
There are so many things to see and do here from the zoo to the waterpark to the many beautiful boutiques and restaurants. Don't forget to grab a beavertail!
Wharf village. Tourist shops, and a restaurant.
A little confusing how to actually get to hill vs.the store but intriguing phenomenon. We backed up quickly because of our heavy vehicle, did it twice
We got in for free
Great experience out of all ordinarily. A must visit at least once.
Honestly, my mind is still blown from that ride in the hill. I went off season after hours and it was free. But, as an adult, it's fun and I would pay for it.
Very cool. It is amazing experience specially with kids .
$6 per car ride. Definitely a trip, but no comparison if you've been to some other ones, specifically the of in Scotland.
I didn't do the rest of the touristy stuff around here, this review is just for the actual hill. Wow, what a neat illusion! For $6 you get to drive your car "down" a hill, move over to the left and stop at a white pole. Once there, you put your car in neutral and it will roll back to the top of the hill.... and it did!... it did very fast for going backwards... right to the top... optical illusion for the win! I spent several minutes afterwards wondering what the heck happened while watching other cars attempt it. It's a quick thing to do but it will have a big impact, especially if you're the driver!! :D :D
So fun haha, at first it was just a hoax, but then we were mind blown, lots and lots of fun for the family and everyone!
It's fun because it's hard to figure out how it works.
Went there in July 2019. Was a long queue. They charge 6$ per car. You can't enjoy much as the drive is just a few seconds in reverse. You can only enjoy / understand the effect if you get to ride couple of drives forward and reverse. Also we cant get out of the car and video capture it as people are waiting in queue to get in. But it was a good experience.
Very cool experience
Nice day out
I visited off season. You can still do the magnetic hill drive for free.
Fun to try and not very expensive. An optical illusion that seriously looks like your car is being pulled uphill.
Doing it forward in neutral make your car put in reverse, hahah I've learn it the hard way! I have to make a 3 point reversed, and thus were the amazing thing of magnet happens into your vehicle!
Gift shop showcase magnetic hill store nerset you toys you can use it OK:) 5 of battery charged
It's $6.00 to see how this illusion works. It's ok and they let you do it a couple of times. Hold onto the steering wheel as your car rolls pretty fast.
Neat effect, but it costs money and you might have to wait in line.
Fun place stop and break up your travel day. A bit pricey.
Don't waste your time (and money) to try the magnetic hill in your car. Find any slope, anywhere, to recreate this experience, for free. Bye.
Fun experience!! Does not take a long time but is a little tourist attraction worth seeing if you are visiting Moncton.
The illusion is real, must experience for yourself!
It's fun for kids and adults alike.for 6 $ you can go as many times as you like!it's an optical illusion.
Beautiful park and definitely the hill is magical.. If you put your car in neutral it actually goes upward in downward Hill. So cool to see that. Must do this activity if you have kids in age 5 to 10 years.
Freaky but fun lol
It sure was odd but it is mind over matter. Fantastic
Holy waste of time and money. I wish I could have both back. It's ridiculous.
Beautiful hill and great story not much else to it.
A little bit pricy but still worth doing once. It's a pretty neat optical illusion.
Always fun here so much to do
For the price, it's with showing the kids if you're in the area. Not totally worth driving out of the way for though.
This is a cool thing to experience but not a must see. If you are passing by do it. I think the price they charge, $6, is way more than it's worth though. I guess this is because they overstaffed the location I don't think they need more than 3 ppl for this but there were at least 5 to 6. They were helpful though...
Wasn't all that impressed. After all, it's an optical illusion that likely didn't work on me... Good for kids I guess.
Pretty cool experience for the kids. We only did the magnetic hill but the entire magnetic park looked pretty impressive. The Hill was 6$ per car and the line took about 15 minutes to do.
Good place to have a nice day very friendly staff
This best appreciated through a tour bus. The driver simply let bus roll "uphill". Very cool!
Don't listen to the naysayers. If you are even the slightest bit scientifically inclined, a fascinating example of optical illusions. Yes it costs 5 dollars for a super short ride but it's totally worth it. Surrounded by gift shops as is the case for a typical tourist attraction.
Bizarre science! Always wanted to stop on the way to PEI so we finally did. Very cool. Should've gotten a T-shirt
OK it's an illusion, of course you aren't really going uphill, but it sure does feel like you are and is a fun thing to experience
You have to do the hill and then go shopping the little shops. I have lunch at the little restaurant there they do fish a one or two piece it's so thinly breaded that it's amazing. Our server Robynn was great.
This is a really neat experience. My family and I went while we were on vacation. For cars the hill pulls you up backwards. For bigger vehicles like our RV we had to go forward. It did pull our RV at a speed of 20km.
You car will roll up a hill as many times as you want for $6. It messes with your mind. It is a nice way to break up the monotony of driving across NB.
Expected a much larger hill. Was a bit disappointed. The theme park looked like kids would enjoy it.
Very comfortable place, funny, attractive magnetic Mount.
They took a simple curiosity and turned it into a tourist trap.
Well I had to stop and see all the fuss was all about, they got me good. You have to try it.
Cool! Great experience. Gift shop stagff very helpful
Great attraction for the whole family. Petting zoo, pony rides and of course Magnetic Hill
I drove in and just took pics didn't stay was busy
Fun place to visit! Really neat to see! Also not expensive!!
It was interesting, but not convinced it's an illusion
Tried out the magnetic hill. It's a cool spot to check out.
Great place for a family day. Cute shops, Waterpark, mini golf, zoo. Something for everyone. Very clean and well kept. Next time we will stay somewhere nearby and spend 2 days doing everything. Too much for one day.
Kind of cool. It is just an illusion and not a natural phenomena. You will figure it if you drive other way around. No line ups when I went there and it was a quick trip.
I stopped half way up the hill, and we rolled backward and upward in neutral, up the hill... Very cool.
Very mundane. Neat effect, it is a natural thing and you've probably seen other places that seem like a down hill that are really uphill. It is a neat place but not really worthy of being a tourist attraction.
Was a really cool experience doing the magnetic hill... I also loved the little wharf that they had!
The definition of a tourist trap with everything they have in the area, and it cost 6$ to basicly pit your car in N and watch it move. Unfortunately it's also something you need to do if you happen to be in the area just to say you did it.
So Unreal phenomenon! An awesome experience.
Cost 6$ for the pleasure of driving on a hill lol. It's cool but would not do it again
Doing the magnetic hill is a blast for people who are visiting Moncton. It's one of the few interesting attractions around the area.
I was disappointed because I was charged $6 to go on the hill and it only took 25 seconds to do it. You can not take your time and get out to film it, you have to stay in your car at all times. The staff rush you through so they can get more unsuspecting peoples money. They also have attached to it, at a separate cost, a zoo and amusement park for the children. I did not do that as I have no little ones and didn't feel I needed to pay again for another let down.
What a waste of time and you pay 6 dollars. The rest of the park and zoo looks great but we didn't stop
Great experience
Great fun and amazing food.
Amazing! If you have the opportunity its Totally worth the $6 & pulling off the highway!!! There's also a zoo, waterpark and a mini warf village & mini-put!!!
If you are in or pass by Moncton, do make the detour to visit this place - it is very entertaining.
The build up excitement was greater Th A. The event experience itself
A bit pricy but the staff is helpful (and can talk both english & french) and the attraction itself is pretty funny. Very convincing illusion, even while watching other cars do it . Asked the staff to do it twice and was able to. From what I've seen you could also ask to walk down there and see it more closely.
This is definitely something to check out. Make sure not to brake while you are going backwards!
Excellent. Great place and experience
Great experience! Magnetic Hill is a very interesting optical illusion that is worth checking out, especially if you only have half an hour or so to spend.
Its only 6 Canadian dollars, it's a quick attraction but totally worth it! My son was telling tales of "Ghost Childern" that push your car up the hill, after the end of the ride the employee asked if we knew how it worked, I told him the ghost Childern theory my son was pumping into my brain and the employee totally played it up. He made it so fun and interesting before explaining to us how it really works! Fun and unbelievable when you hear what really took place. Totally recommend this!
So mind blowing!
I honestly thought this was going to be really lame, but I was surprised by how could it was! Definitely go if you're in the area! It's only $6
Great zoo and nicely refurbished wharf village.
The food was quick but messy burgers and the fries weren't fresh. It was passable for McDs but not that great
very cool experience. liked the employees
As a mature adult this was a waste of our time. You're also at high risk for a car accident. Skip it.
It was amazing to see the car automatically drove backward
Had some time to spare before going to golf club. The Magnetic Hill was mentioned as a tourist attraction. Was a nice way to pass the morning. Geared more towards family fun with young kids.
Cool experience, doesn’t take long to go through it maybe 10 minutes. The other attractions, the Zoo and water park are a great way to spend a day!
Cool but think the $6 isn't worth it for a 2 minute drive
it is an interesting experience. I wish some explanation is available
A quick attraction that defies the senses! Worth the visit.
It was unbelievable... can't explain if it's real or magic or illusion. Have to try to understand.
Pay 6 dollars to roll down a hill. This place has become the tourist mecca of new Brunswick
It was $6, not much money but was it worth it? I do not think so. The experience lasts under a minute. You stop at a specific location on the road, put the car in neutral and the car appears to roll uphill and then you are finished.
Good experience
We saw it in May, so not much going on but I can see how many great attractions they have when it's all up and running! Magnetic hill is pretty mind blowing!
This is a really fun place with kids. The actual magnetic hill attraction is really interesting and a must try????
Personnaly my hopes were higher, I get that its an optical illusion but its not worth the seven dollars we had to pay it should be free.
Wow . What a trip. A super nice place for some water slides, dinner, or gift shops after you check out the 'Magnetic' feature to the hill.
It's a fake !!!! An optic illusion ! Really ! It's just cause there is a little way down which give impulsion to the car to grow the very small hill ! Really ! Even staff from the park told us that's a fake ! In Canada it's not forbidden to make business on a fake !!
A jem amongst the city. Wharf Village Restaurant... Excellent
Just did the hill neat but not worth the wait!!!
Do not believe your eyes. Try with your feet.
Great Experience Love NB
Very disappointed. Didn't seem to be rolling up hill. Rolling backward fairly quickly seemed quite dangerous.
Startling to say the least. Because we were there early we got to make a second run coasting up the hill. Lovely restaurant and setting. Don't like zoos but there is one.
Cool attraction priced accordingly! Really makes you think about what you just witnessed!
I enjoyed this whole experience
It was cool, only 6 bucks, cant complain :)
Fantastic experience. We were very impressed. Well worth the $6 admission fee!
Neat to experience. The kids loved it!
Fun to try at least once
Good place for the family nice food zoo and water park
Fun with kids
Drive up a hill and roll backwards... there's no magnets
When I was younger I remember it being such a cool thing! But I definitely don’t recommend it for adults. Expensive for the short amount of time.
We just did the hill. It was short but really neat. Was worth the drive out of our way just to check it out. There was lots more touristy stuff to do but we didn't partake.
Drove the "Hill". Nothing really to it and although instructions provided, seemed odd to drive to a spot and then let your car roll backwards. What good is this from a watching point of view? I did it twice. second time, I turned my car around and let it roll forward so we could watch the illusion.
it is worth than $5 if you passby . not recommended go there dedicated. we had good time there.
This place was 5 stars as a kid but now they've ruined the natural landscape and feeling with everything built near it.
Really amazing attraction, a must see if you visit anywhere near it!
Wow! We tried the pull of gravity. Great experience. You can try as many times as you want but you have to go back in the line. Just a minute wait.
This was such an amazing experience with the family we went on the hill 3 times
Wonderful illusion. Liked it more when getting out of the vehicle was an option to take a video. At least we were able to go through twice on one admission fee.
Very nice neat place to try with the car. Must see it.
Neat to do. Its an optical illusion but it does appear your vehicle rolls back 'uphill'. The 'theme' park adjacent to the hill is a tad tacky and touristy.
I have been coming here since I was a kid. I love it! A bunch of slides to choose from, huge wave pool, lazy river, snacks and you can even get a all in one wristband and go to the arcade or mini golfing or on the amusement rides. So much fun!!
Optical illusion at its best. Worth a stop on your Atlantic province tour.
Soooo weird and yet soooooo fun.
Loved the experience! It really brings out the kid in you. We went around 8AM in the morning on a weekday so there weren't anyone at all so we were able to do around 5 times. Loved every run of it! Highly recommend you go during off season.
Interesting place
Awesome place n lovely people especially the elderly owners in the first shop on the left "Salty's landing".
Got a free Magnetic Hill visit on Easter Sunday!! :)
A great little stop while u are in moncton. Will blow your mind. Does cost like $6 but you can try it out as long as you want.
It's amazing experience to go back or front without excelarating the vehicle on the magnetic hill.instructions are posted at the entrance of the magnetic hill.
Haven't been for 30+ years n brought back great memories. Great for all ages
A blast from the past! Went as a child. Understand it better as an adult. Freaked out my husband, who was driving. A fun experience.
Unbelievable to see your car driving without power and going uphill
That was cool! They charged $6 to get in and had someone there to tell you what to do. Cool experience
Cross it off the bucket list. For 6 bucks might as well do it if you are in the area. Only takes 2 minutes.
Canada, a country with North pole as the neighborhood offers very limited outdoor activities to young, especially the children, and not to speak of those young at heart; and this is where the magnetic hill comes into being. Open during limited Atlantic summer season from June to September, Magnetic Hill is a one stop day-long entertainment Centre for entire family. A small but well maintained Zoo with petting and feeding sections, an amusement park, a water themed park and an arcade game centre complete the setup. Limited variety at in-house food is bit disappointing. The "Magnetic Hill Drive", supposed to be the premier attraction of the complex didn't provide any thrills for me.
It was pretty cool, drive half way down the road (bottom of the hill/there is a white post of the left), put it in neutral and it will pull you backwards up the hill, it was fun and pulled a lot more then I was expecting
loved this totally mind blowing had trouble wrapping my head around it but that's part of the fun! really neat place as well lots to do with a zoo and looks like water park right there as well as the wharf.
Awsome experience of magnetic hill pulling a 50 seater bus with all passengers sitting inside.
The site was closed for the season, but we could still access the Magnetic Hill portion. What fun! It was great. We kept doing it over and over, laughing our heads off the whole time!
Great walking paths. Close to the animals for little people. Viewing windows at different heights for different size children. Well worth the visit. Easy to see everything in a couple of hours and your favourite things twice.
But it's up hill!! How???? ????
Pay 6$ to go up and down a hill. Personally it's not worth the drive.
It’s just an illusion but good story to talk about
Visited off season so had free access to the hill. All park attractions were closed, but looks like very nice place to visit in summer.
Nice curiosity to visit if you are nearby but kind of expansive for what it is. Would not travel far just to go there.
What a beautiful place to relax, eat and spend your morning, afternoon or evening . The new owners have done an excellent job on this place. Love it....
Pretty cool experience to try out. You vehicle actually moves backwards quite quickly. Definitely messes with your mind until you realize what's actually going on. It's done and over within 1 minute, so if you have a minute to spare, try it out.
Very run down. Hopefully they maintain the rides better than the village.
The hill was ok, but the gift shop was great and the staff was extremely nice.
It's ok.
What a freaky experience. It was a bit of a wait but fun all the same. Lots of things around there to do. Zoo, waterpark, go carts.....
Fun place to go with great shops, restaurants, and a zoo.
We loved it we did it three times!! It works!! Felt like kids☺
Fun. Some people mention going in for free, but I didn't see how. We did it twice...once for the experience and once to video. You can do it as many times as you want.
It is great to experience the pull of the car
Fun place, great resturant.
A bit expensive for what it is (about 6$) but my friend from Ottawa really enjoyed the illusion.
I only did the hill. It’s weird and a freak of nature. Once the car was in neutral, it moved a lot faster than anticipated. Great thing to see whilst in Moncton.
Fun little zoo. Family and friends had a good time.
Sure has changed since 1973. Surrounding town and trees have dulled the illusion. 6 bucks for a natural occurence? Naturally!
Wasn't open but got to drive around and do the Hill 3 times.was amazing and fed the ducks and fish. So beautiful.
The way you should try the hill is not make sense and is not interesting as it was 18 years ago when I visited this Hill
Amazing place....watch your car reverse uphill backwards!
Great stuff enjoyed the ride on this hill.
This is where Canada tourism goes to die. The hill was more of a gentle incline and although it was neat the surrounding area felt abandoned. Took a poop in the zoo washroom and that felt like we spent enough time. I didn't want to venture into the zoo for fear of finding animals that looked as happy to be there as everyone else.
I still don't understand how is it possible.
not much foe food on restaurant menu and$$$ for wath you get
