Great walking trail and beach
Nice place for relaxing
Really nice beach. Looked beautiful at night, lit up by the full moon, with a great view of the city skyline.
Pleasant scenery. Very busy during the evening hours. Walking with a dog is difficult at some points due to the walkways being very narrow. 4 Stars because if the convenient location. I would prefer going somewhere less busy.
Wonderful little hiking area with wooden walkways. Perfect for a weekend activity.
Nature's lover and birdwatcher's little paradise in GTA. Great and unexpected natural area west of TO.
This is one of my most favored area. There are many interesting trails, and we used to meet two deers many times in previous years. It is also a nice walk towards Jack darling park.
This marsh area is an extraordinary piece of nature and life folded into the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Mississauga. It's incredible to find this, here in the midst of suburbia.
Beautiful and nice path to walk to enjoy at anytime or station of the year. Paths are very easy and walkable. Short and nice. Well preserved and maintained.
Such a neat wild area! Great trails and boardwalk.
A really nice and unique place with a beautiful lake
Amazing place. Easy for parking
Nice area to walk around in good weather. Arshad N
Rattray Marsh is right on Lakeshore rd in Mississauga Ontario.Such an amazing little eco system left undamaged by human hands. There is a nice zig zag boardwalk that takes you through with side trails to wander and enjoy the beautiful scenery.I must have seen 15 different birds in my walk through and theres a cool spot that opens up from the marsh to lake ontario...great pictures to be taken for sure! This park is linked to Jack Darling which is a beautiful lakefront park as well.No bikes in Rattray marsh however thete is a beautiful trail in Jack Darling thats great for bikes.Excellent trip for the whole family and hit a picnic bench after for lunch!Definitely worth the visit!
Nice place to picnic or go for a walk... cheers!
Beautiful trails and boardwalks through a quiet forested wetland.
Wow! What a beautiful place! It's so peaceful and serene, and so much to explore!
Peaceful morning walk. Geese on the shoreline in the distance. #RattrayMarsh
Has a bit of everything. Beach, wooded area, spectacular view of the marsh from the boardwalk.
Nice park however if you visit on the weekend place is usually full and mostly immigrants
Stunning lakefront trail, with a surprising amount of wildlife and greenery! Only downside; if you're driving you'll want to park at Jack Darling Memorial Park (as there isn't any legit parking at the location that Maps leads you to).
Beautiful and tranquil.
Nice relaxing area, plenty of trails and access to Lake Ontario
Beautiful natural park on the edge of lake Ontario. Lots of walking trails
Our nature walk was amazing and the weather couldn't have been better.
Note there is no parking near the entry point Google maps takes one to. Have to park several km away at Jack Rattray park.
This is one o my favourite place to spend a couple hours walking around. I used to live in Clarkson, and I would walk my dog here almost every day year round. I found myself in the area last week with time to spare and went for a walk. It's as good as it ever was! Bring some mosquito repellent though.
Beautiful scenic boardwalk paths but also an amazing stretch of waterfront to walk and enjoy.
An oasis of nature in the suburbs. Many clean paths and trails to traverse. Beautiful views of the marsh, lake ontario, and wildlife such as birds, the occasion dear and fish.
If you are looking for some free fossils for your classroom or friends this is the place! I'd also invite you to enjoy the great view of Lake Ontario and walk the interesting layout of the wooden paths. No restrooms. As a good deed, bring a bag and collect the micro garbage that is found at the shore... Keeping lakes clean means healthy life in our lakes!
What a gem of a spot. Took the kids and loved the wildlife. Great trails.
Very nice area, great trails with boardwalk and beach access.
Amazing hidden gem in Mississauga. Must visit! Refreshing trails and close encounter with nature.
Such a beautiful spot. You feel like you're far out of the City, but really only steps from civilization.
So beautiful. Lots of birds and a couple of deer. Wonderful to see deer up close.
Awesome trail right by the water
Magnificent park to go out with family, it's more suited for families.
One of my favourite places to go for a hike. I've been coming here for years. Well maintained trails, dog friendly and lots of wildlife to see and photograph at all times of the year.
Very unique place. Would look it's best around fall time. Don't miss the shots of Toronto skyline.
Beautiful place for hike and it's in the city, wow.
My husband and I just discovered this beautiful area.the boardwalks ate amazing and allow my husband to enjoy the area along with me.he has back issues and the glad boardwalk is much better than uneven ground.
Very nice to visit on a weekday. I suspect it would be crowded on the weekend.
Amazing trails. Gorgeous views
Nice trail and amazing view.
Great nature spot for short / medium trail walks through the marsh and along the lake.
Nice place to view Lake Ontario at the end of the trail. The trail too is pretty decent
Great outdoor area for all. The views are beautiful.
Great way to spend time outside. A little busy in the afternoon. Not as much shade as I remember...
Very well managed. A beautiful place to go at Ny time if year especially in spring or fall. It is very picturesque and beaches are good too for fun during summer. No entry tickets or any other fares and lots of views to enjoy. There is a parl nearby for kids to enjoy. It is full family spot along with your dogs.
Beautiful conservatory for hiking. Amazing shoreline.
Great Park, with a huge leash free area.
Crowded on weekends. Ongoing construction on one section of trail
Nice trail to walk, scenic, would have been 5 stars if not for the no cycling rule not being enforced.
Lovely. Access to water. Well maintained trails and enough resting areas.
I am neither a wildlife enthusiast nor a bird watcher. But like a good hike, walk/board walk. This is a good place for all above, clean and maintained walking trail. Wild flowers, birds and some time you can spot deer as well. Easy walk even with kids and elders.
Great boardwalk trail. It's only about 1 km so my son loved it when he was learning how to walk.
Lovely trail with beautiful scenery by the lake. My only complaint would be the bugs????
As wonderful as I remember. Would be nice to put up no smoking signs along the boardwalk. Gentleman was smoking a cigar right behind us and because you're on the boardwalk, you can't get away.
Nice are to have a short hike
The trail is very interesting as you walk through the woods and ponds. This is not a bike trail as there are sign to unmount from the bike. It is very calm and you can hear to the birds and the nature all over the place.
Very amazing trail. The pictures you can take here are AMAZING! Definently one of the best trails in Ontario Hands down. The amazing view of the CN tower that you can get
Love these trails, the boardwalk and the shingle bar. Beautiful views no matter which way you go.
I've been to Rattray Marsh on quite a few occasions and at different times of the day. Personally I find that the best time is very early in the morning as the birds are out and about and it's still nice and quiet without too many people. …
Gorgeous green space with lots of nature paths.
Great place for a winter hike. The views of the marsh and lake are great. The boardwalks aren't shovelled so be prepared.
It's such a great place to go for a hike, you are right at Lake Ontario, you go through a beautiful forested area, you can see lots of birds and even some deer if you are lucky...it's great having places like this right in the city.....
Lots of critters and nice views of nature. Great place for a stroll.
One of my favourite places to go on walks. Stunning trails and boardwalk with plenty of beautiful birds and wildlife!
Its a good family park similar to what one would expect at a park. The worst part about this park is parking and mosquitoes. I swear my hands are still swollen from the bites besides that the view is amazing and you can see toronto downtown from here.
A great neutral area, easily accessable, in the " middle" of the city. Take a walk along the boardwalk. Take a walk through the forest. Talk a walk along the Lakefront. It'll always be enjoyable.
A beautiful board walk with unique birds, tall trees, and a great view of the lake!
Beautiful boardwalks trailing through the forest and along the lake
Quiet place for a small trail and birdwatching , you can go near the pebble shingles beach and enjoy waterfront . Well maintained walking trails
A very beautiful place in the middle of residential spaces. The path is very well kept and easy to walk. There are many birds to see and other wildlife. We saw a Great Horned Owl family and a pair of Deer from the trail. The Red-winged Blackbirds were also very active and flaunting their colours.
Great place, I come here with my dog for a day trip sometimes. Great open area for pets, nice walk by the lake and a really interesting stroll on the boardwalk through the marsh. Love coming here
Nice for a walk. Comes out by the beach. Saw a dog chase a Canada goose which trolled him out to sea and his owner frantically trying to call him back. Dog almost drowned. But he came back in time. Beware of those geese. Lots of mosquito's and bugs from the marsh. Other than that quite nice.
This place is good for walking or just enjoying what nature can offer. It has a lot of trails to follow.
Really nice, quiet place to go on walks in. Many paths will take you out to the lake, and if you’re lucky you’ll find the abandoned little shack near the water too.
Who doesn't like nature,ok maybe a few but most of us do and this Conservation area offers great paths to explore and see some wildlife, nicely kept.
Excellent little place full of nature. Couldn't believe how many animals I saw in the slow wander I took here. Deer, Great blue Heron and a large turtle along with many other birds. Very easy walk as all paths or boardwalks. Suitable for children and elderly, although there are some routes with steps so parts are not suitable for wheelchairs. It backs onto a park as well which has beautiful views of the Toronto skyline across Ontario Lake. Would recommend. I spent about 2 hours here, but the paths can be done very quickly if not stopping for wildlife, probably about 30 minutes.
I love this place. Walking the trail is a beautiful escape from the city while being still there. Nature, wildlife like deer, squirrels, chipmunks, wild birds, geese, swans and friendly people too. I hope this place will always be protected and treasured.
Great place to take a hike in side the city
A nice easy hike by the lake. Very nice view of the lakefront and the marshes. I went in late Spring and you can see the fish spawning and other various wildlife like owls if your lucky. All the trails loop and it's very easy and you don't need any particular shoe. Good for families and elderly.
Wonderful forested area with lots of trails and lots of different things to see. Steams, forest, marsh, lake, boardwalks...
Lived in Mississauga for most of my life and it wasn’t until recently I checked out this conservation area. This place was calm and peaceful. We got to see multiple swans in the water. There is also a nice swimming area for people to hang out by as well.
Such a beautiful place to walk and see wildlife.
First and foremost Parking - there are 3 parking lots at Jack Darling park and getting a spot during peak hours can be a bit troublesome but we did get one after 5-10 mins of circling the lots. This is the best way to enter since there is no allocated spot at the start of Rattray marsh. Beautiful view of the lake, city and so many spots to just sit and relax - this place is perfect quick get away for the neighborhood as well as Mississauga residents. Enter the boardwalk from the Jack Darling park which is just 7-8 mins walk along the lake and then this boardwalk begins. We went after a decent snow day and the path was clear and easy to walk. The boardwalk does close after sunset as for the winter hours seems it's until 5pm. There are playing areas for kids as well at the Jack Darling park. Overall beautiful spot!
Good place for short hike. Trails are connected to Jack Darling Memorial Park to see the beauty of waterfront. It's a combination of boardwalks and ground trails for easy hiking
Wonderful, I like this place! Got me peace!
Very scenic. Spent my birthday in September there for the whole day with my friends. Got many pictures of us and myself while taking in the beautiful clear day, the breeze of the lake, the scenic waves, and the breathtaking skyline of Toronto.
Very nice i liked it. Just went today for the 1st time. Its quite cold and raining.... but its really nice down there. Cant wait till summer
Beautiful place. If you are lucky you can spot a snapping turtle, or Canadian birds. You can take a very relaxing walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In May there is plenty of Trillum to admire.
Very nice place for walking around and exploring nature, the Toronto skyline view is fantastic. We didn't find any designated parking space.
Lovely place for a very peaceful and scenic nature walk
A hidden jem in Port credit. The trails go on to Jack Darling Memorial Park
Excellent walking spot. Good for kids and dogs too. Has a leash free zone.
Very beautiful area, good place to go hiking.
Very cute boardwalk along marsh. Trail surrounded by trees. Short trail about 20min.
It's a peaceful trail with lots of opportunity to see local wildlife. There are a few different hiking loops to explore including a boardwalk that loops around the marsh. Keep an eye out for access to the pebble beach
Enjoy a short trail with toddlers and reach the beautiful lake. Throw a rock. Make a wish!
Beautiful park along the lake, wooden trails, nice beach areas, lots of trees and bushes. A must go place if you want quick and refreshing evening walk.
This is a very amazing track for runners but also cyclists. The neighbourhood is fascinating with beautiful vegetation and seaside. Definitely recommendable.
What a hidden gem. Right next to the more well known Jack Darling Park. Rattray Marsh is the perfect place for a quick stroll or a longer trek. There's a great system of boardwalks that bring you around the conservation area. With an added bonus of an amazing view on Lake Ontario. You can clearly see Missisauga and even Toronto off in the distance. Definitely worth a visit, especially with the fall colours coming.
Serene but short trails with a lovely view of the Toronto skyline and Lake Ontario. If you’re looking to get out of the city, and spend some time surrounded by nature, this is a great option. Only 20-25 minutes from Toronto. Doesn’t get too crowded.
Loved the place. A must visit for people staying in Toronto or surrounding areas. I would prefer visiting again in morning with some Sun or for an evening walk. The little beach and the view of Toronto skyline is very pleasing.
One of the best place in the city to enjoy the waking by lakeshore with amazing view. Also, it has really nice BBQ area.
Well laid out with boardwalk to enjoy and not disrupt nature. Great walk and informative layout.
Unimpressed. Locals found throughout the trails are anything but friendly. Don't hold your breath waiting for a smile or a response from a "hello" definitely my last visit. Many other parks in the area that offer a better experience.
Beautiful park and beautiful trail. There’s a beach with a great view and a playground for kids to play in. They have plenty to do at this locations and it definitely has one of my favourite trails.
Excellent place for a nice walk.
A great little conservation area - that's free! Wonderful trails, with lots of wildlife to see! So far I've encountered baby bunnies, deer, blue heron, and some snakes. It's an absolutely wonderful place to experience and is a must visit at least once! The downside is there is no parking dedicated to this place, so you have to park at Jack Darling Memorial Park - and those parking lots are nearly always full in summer!
What a wonderful place...for a walk, photography, family activity place...so close to the city, yet so natural!
Great for an evening walk. Right by the lake too.
A beautiful boardwalk over the Rattray Marsh offers lovely views of the forest and the marsh itself. Very active with birds and butterflies in summertime. You are also able to walk down by the beach and enjoy the lake Ontario. Currently the colors are still gorgeous and quite enjoyable. Although, im guessing not for long. The reason that im giving it 4 starts even though the hike itself deserves 5, is the blatant lack of visitors' following currently mandated safety distance protocols. About 80% of the visitors did not take the effort to social distance and share the boardwalk in a responsible way. It does get narrow at some juncture and it makes sense for couples and families to pass by others in a single file formation, this did not happen most of the time and I wasn't able to enjoy the hike because feeling anxiety of always dodging inconsiderate people. There should be some type of fine structure/reinforcement that would allow for a more comfortable experience by all visitors. As it seems that most people really do not care about safety protocols.
One of the best known place to get to know the nature. The boardwalk, river streams and the amazing trails makes one wonder about his relationship with the nature. Definitely must go and visit this place at least once if you are in GTA.
Nice park for a long walk and a beach at the end of the road
All year round nice walk place..
What an amazing park! So blessed to be living so close to this conservation area. A great place to walk dogs in and take a walk.
Boardwalks, dirt paths through wooded areas. Washroom available in Jack Darling Park before the trail begins.
Awesome reconstructed environment close to a very urban space. The shale beach is perfect for skipping rocks
Great walking area h not overly crowded
Great place to go for a walk, lots of different routes to take. Be sure to go early as it gets very busy later in the morning and in the afternoon, particularly in weekends. Not a lot of places to stop for a picnic in the actual Marsh area, but there is plenty of space in Jack Darling Park
A short walk, but enjoyable. Lots being done to improve the area. Sinage explaining ecology behind improvements.
Great Trails to ride or walk with the family
Really nice oasis in the midst of covid chaos. Stay safe.
Beautiful place for a walk. Lot of birds around.
Great place for wildlife and hike
trails are well maintained. very nice long walk. Love the fresh air.
not so public and not a great place for dogs
I saw deers there! (See my pics). Fantastic experience!
A most peaceful place to walk and talk, contemplate life, or jog with your dog. While it has lost a few thousand trees to emerald ash borer, the conservancy is doing a great job reforesting. Take only photos. Leave only footprints. No washrooms or water. It's a nature preserve. Lovely boardwalks but muddy in the spring thaw. Lots of birds, muskrats, swans and deer if you are there in the earky morning or at dusk. Coyotes at night. Walk your bikes here.
A spectacular natural area, made better by the dedication of local volunteers, support from the City of Mississauga, and tireless maintenance, research, upgrades, and invasive species removal by Credit Valley Conservation, which manages this site. Go visit - and please stay on the marked trails and don't litter!
Beautiful conservation area specially for fishing.
Always a family favourite for the past 50 years. We live in the area and are grateful to be able walk through this amazing green space all year round.
This park is a gorgeous place in Mississauga for hiking, running, walking and biking. It's been a life saver during the pandemic for many. Just one request. Please don't litter. Keep it ????% clean.
Gorgeous views no matter what time of year. Great place for bird watching as well.
Beautiful ???? lots of birds and wildlife
Amazing conservation area in middle of the city. Lot of trails, nice spots for picture, plenty of fun for kids for whom love the nature.
What a stunning place.... Leads from Jack Darling Park. Went on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly, not too busy. Long and interesting walk along the boardwalk. (going back) Lots of wildlife, incuding birds and deer. Wildflowers and amphibians.
Small trail, with pretty views :)
Nice area to go for a nature walk. Lots of trees in the area; near the lake; a river; and the houses are getting pretty upscale lately.
Great conservation area.Always different each time you visit.
Incredibly beautiful scenic walk within the city. Love the neighbourhood.
Excellent trails and lots of places to sit and enjoy the many views. Great picnic area!
Perfect place to connect with nature
My favourite spot in Mississauga. Been coming here my whole life, it's beautiful! Many great memories with friends have been made on these shorelines.
Nice walk from the adjacent park. You get the feeling of getting deep into nature without leaving the city.
My favourite place to walk. Always beautiful - any time of the year.
Great place to have fun with your family and cook some barbecue
So much variance in habitat on a short and dramatic walk to the lake. The stony beach, the marsh, the forested hillside of the knoll, all ready to walk on raised boardwalk. Only a few minutes walk to lake Ontario with a view of the Toronto skyline in the near distance. A remnant of a largely lost natural shoreline on the lake. Worth a visit any time of the year, with interpretive signs teaching about the ecology and history of the marsh, scenic lookouts over the lake and benches to rest on. The waterfront trail passes through the marsh (no bikes).
Beautiful walk through the wood, birds listening, view of the lake and unspoiled nature ????????wonderful experience ????????
Such a pretty nature Conservation area. Can't wait to go back
Nice boardwalk, beach and varied options of trail walks for family.
Very nice place
One of my favourite local spots when I don't feel like traveling too far. It's absolutely beautiful and definitely worth it.
Beautiful park. My friends and I did not expect such park in Mississauga.
Well maintained series of trails thru beautiful scenic areas with abundant wildlife, vegetation & stunning views of surrounding neighbourhood, lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline.
Nice short trail, great place if you like taking photos
Fun area to see a different area of Lake Ontario. The bridges are built well and really clean. Nice nature spot
Beautiful trails , views and environment. Great for couples , kids and dog walkers.
Just a beautiful serene place for a lovely hike
Beautiful n scenic.
Always a great place to take a walk!
Nice park, makes you feel like you went for a hike without going so far from the city. Very icy when we went. But at least that made us to go buy the ice clips for boots. :)
Fantastic conservation area with easy access for strollers. The scenery is beautiful, and the length of the trail is just enough to keep kids entertained before it's time to double back.
Trail was very beautiful and very nice.
Excellent place to see nature and wildlife. Beautiful views.
Beautiful and easy city hike.
We had a wonderful walk along the path
Photographer's heaven Many birds and land animals such as white tailed deer can be seen. Even if you are not into photography, you should go there and enjoy the nature
Nice natural habitat restoration area. Informative signs help you really appreciate the clean up effort put into this park. Well maintained trail and boardwalk through the marsh. Conservation trail leads into a larger park system at one end.
Walking along the new boardwalk through nature is very peaceful.
Great bird hotspot with wild deer however can get very busy by 10am on weekends
Great place for a walk in nature. The purple trail is about 1km and takes 30 minutes to complete. It is ideal length that won't tire you, but will amaze you with great sightseeings along the way. Animals appear to be widespread, we encountered chipmunks, squirrels, number of species of birds, and... a deer! Great for a romantic walk with special one or family weekend. Recommended!
I had an okay experience. There was just a dead fish in the middle of the shoreline. Smelled awful. They could have gotten rid of it.
Very nicely maintained borad walk for a small hike, with beautiful views of the marsh.
Has a fantastic boardwalk, very peaceful place. In some ways it helps that there is no car park as it limits the numbers
Great place to go for a walk, especially with the kids.
An excellent park to walk through and down to the lake. 4 stars only because during winter and rain it is not well maintained and you will encounter a lot of water and mud on the paths. Well it is a marsh after all, but the paths could use some more gravel.
Very clean, safe for families. Beautiful views with access to the lake too.
This is really a nice place to be . It seems nature has been reconstructed here and you will be delighted to take a walk here . The trails have been converted to broad walks and look amazing. One of the scenic places in Mississauga . And being next to JD Memorial Park makes it even more appealing. There are beautiful houses nearby too. Parking can be issue over a busy summer weekend. So prepare accordingly
Excellent place for a nature walk. We saw many birds and a chirping cricket up close!
Beautiful walk with the lake view
Fantastic please , great to take kids for a nature walk
A peaceful and scenic gem in the city. Very nice hike.
Beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy the nature. Diverse kind of birds, deers and squirrels. Recommended to people who love the calm and quiet places.
Haven't been here since I was a kid, and took my kids there for some outside time. This place is fantastic....if not for the pandemic. Getting around needs to be done on walkway bridges, which forces close proximity to others - most of which aren't wearing masks. Will definitely go back when life is more normal, but will stick to open spaces for time being.
Great little conservation area. It's free but has limited parking. Can park on streets in some areas, parking at jack darling park (gets super busy on weekends) or parking at the elementary school (best option). The park is not that large maybe takes 1-2 hours to walk around. Has a nice boardwalk with scenic views. Good for bird watching. Connects to jack darling park and the lakeshore trails has a lot of good small beaches to swim in. Good for kids or dog walking.
This is a boardwalk through a local Marsh. During the Spring you can see the fish spawning. And if you are quiet you may catch sight of a chipmunk, squirrel or muskrat. On a really lucky day you might see a deer. It's a very pleasant walk which isn't very long and mostly boarded. There are some pleasant it looks over the marsh and for the river the train is flat except for 2 loops that has a hill. However it is very clear which Loop has the hill and is bordered. The loop which is not on the boardwalk but has a hill is more of a hike if an easy one. There are often young children and dogs-which are not always on leashes. You can walk directly from Jack Darling park in to Rattray Marsh-almost without realizing it.
Beautiful natural preserve, bird sightings, trails that go down to the water. Enjoy the beautiful sounds of nature. The marsh path is connected to the park and playground next door. Lovely
Leads up to the lakeshore. You can swim or skip rocks over there. A good place to go with your friends to.
It is a very good park. It had a good trail and nice rocks to sit by the water. It has a playing place for kids and a nice view of downtown Toronto skyline in the background. Definitely a place worth visiting and it's free with no entrance fees.
I read the reviews before coming and parked at the suggested Jark Darling which is close a 10 min walk to Rattray. However with a toddler during covid I wouldn't recommend parking there in the future. You have to walk by 2 fun looking playgrounds that can't be avoided to arrive at Rattray. In the future we plan to use the street parking and directly access the conservation area. Lots of friendly people and kids and dogs
Rattray Marsh Conservation Area is accessible from Jack Darling Memorial Park. There are several free parking lots but they can fill up pretty quickly during weekends and holidays. Trail traffic is really heavy, we would recommend visiting this place early in the morning or during less busy times. The trail mainly consists of boardwalks and gravels paths, and it is stroller friendly. Bikes are not allowed on the trail though. There are a lot of wildlife in the area, i.e. birds, frogs, chipmunks, squirrels. Sheridan Creek is accessible at some locations, but use at your own risk. It is nice to spend a morning at the beach and walk around Rattray Marsh. You can check the CVC Park Conditions before going.
Lovely park for 1-2h walk if you connect with the parks near by. One of the best in the GTA
My favourite walk in the GTA. Plenty of bird life. I've spotted deer, swans, egrets. Wooden boardwalks throughout most of the marsh. Extremely muddy after a rainfall though.
So great to have a chunk of nature preserved! We need more of this. Extensive boardwalks circle a large marsh.
Best place to park we found was at Jack Darling Memorial Park because we couldn't find a parking lot from the address given (50 Bexhill) and we weren't sure if we could park on the residential street. Make sure you bring big spray and plenty of water if you're planning to go on a hot day.
Such a Beautiful location. The trail here is good to walk around. That waterfront trail connecting jack darling and rattray is so amazing. I really had a wonderful tym here. U can get a lot of amazing Captures here. The day I went here, weather was so cool. The high tides of water were hitting the stones and splashing around. Moreover less crowdy and very peaceful place especially during weekdays.
Well preserved natural forestation with walkways. Wet weather can create some patches of mud that you have to walk around. You can see chipmunks and squirrels (occasional red ones too) on a warm bright day, and if you are lucky, see rabbits, beaver and deer. Fun for birdwatchers too. Look into the water, to see plenty of fishes, some frogs and if you are lucky, a snake
Lovely place for a walk. Access it from Jack Darling Park. Great for a stroll and pictures if lucky you can see some natural wildlife.
Right next to the jack darling park. Accessible by bus. The trails are beautiful, and make for great pictures. There's various trails so you can choose any trail according to length and difficulty and walk at your own pace.
The owners are so genuine! Fred the bird and Sally squirrel were great hosts! They really leave you feeling great about your visit! Be sure to visit the Rock Beach and have a skip or two! The pics are of baby birds - they have great singing voices already!
Lovely green walking trails that lead to the beach.
Awesome place for a walk.
Wonderful place to go for a long walk along the lake.. and inside the green area
We made our way to the walking and raised boardwalks trails of Rattray Marsh Conservation Area in Mississauga, Ontario. With the Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail, you are able to capture views of Toronto’s downtown shoreline including the CN Tower.
A Favourite Place to Visit and Go for Walks.... This place is so soothing to one's soul. Dramatic, but that is how I feel. The board walks are well maintained by CVC. You can listen and watch the birds & …
Nice walks and great beach!
Amazing place for all ages, Finding parking is difficult here. So plan it accordingly.
Peaceful place with beautiful wetland surrending the soft boardwalk trail. It connected to Jacks darling park. You can have a very good walk here.
Beautiful views from the boardwalk. Great little stretch of beach. A relaxing getaway from the city.
This park is quite pleasant to walk. The terrain is flat. The walkways are well maintained. The beach is nice.
So calm and peaceful. A walk in the midst of nature.
Easy walking through for all age groups including small, big large and portable lap four legged furry family members.one can park at jack darling park and enjoy walk to Rottary marsh.it well marked and often crowded but worth a visit.
Beautiful conservation area in south Mississauga. Many access points and parking. Adjacent to Jack Darling Park. Great views of Lake Ontario.
Wow. Supperb!
Just beautiful! Lots of wildlife and natural beauty to soak in!
Good secluded pebble beach, hidden within the conservation area. Great for hikes, meditation and stone skipping.
My favorite park to walk
This is a good and east trail but it is short. You can make it longer by start walking from Jack Darling memorial. Within this trail, there are sub trails that you can take to make your walk longer. This is an actual loop trail so it all goes in a circle to make it easy for you. Well maintained. Active trail and good for all levels. Good for kids, strollers and dogs.
Great quick hiking spot and always nature enjoy
Perfect trail for a walk or for a bike ride. A lot of benches to enjoy the beauty of the lake. Playground for kids.
Nice conservation area, with some good trails. Took the pedestrian trail. Not too crowded. Parking is at Jack Darling park. No parking on the street.
No parking, so you get off at the Pak next door and run your way to it..
Oh this place has been my go to destination every weekend this summer ... it’s right next to the jack darling park but has it’s own calmness and peace without the crowd. It has the hidden beach seems like you own it ???? must go but please don’t leave trash behind .
Relaxing time by Lake Ontario! Beautiful scenery and trails! Hard to believe I'm still in Mississauga!!
We love coming here in spring, summer and especially in the fall. The crispness of the leaves, walk along the wooden path and fresh air takes you in a whole different world.
Beautiful trails and something to behold on each journey.
This treasure on the shore of Lake Ontario is along the waterfront trail system in Mississauga. The large marsh is home to many animals. You might even get to see a heron. Remember to stay on the boardwalk. Take out any garbage and leave behind the foliage. Every season has something to delight. Spring offers trilliums, summer offers lush greenery and fall has the changing leaves. Once you have discovered it, you will be back.
Pedestrian access, one hour its enough for visiting this park
Incredible sights and especially sounds, the birds are a symphony of natures true beauty. Absolutely loved it!!!
Great location for a hike! Nice boardwalk!
its a nice quiet trail to walk thru. lots of nature
It is soooo great to have Green Space like this in Mississauga. Beatiful grounds.
Absolutely no place for parking, so good luck if you are driving to this place
I absolutely love it here. One part of the walkway was recently renovated and the park in general is well kept. I always want to show people the park but I want to also keep it hidden as I don't think many know the park exists. There are so many birds and different animals all around that you can spot while walking along the paths. I highly reccomend a visit!
A great place to go for a hike. Missed seeing the snapping turtles though...
A beautiful and tranquil setting for a summer time walk or hike.
Really nice park with great trails along the waterfront and marshland ????
beautiful place well with good scenery and nature trails. Only thing negative about this place was that there are cameras and CCTV signs posted meaning they are spying on private citizens
This place is a little gem of a the park. There's lots of nice walking areas right by the lake which is great for just spending the day strolling around when there's good weather.
Beautiful trails along the lake.
Crowded but I got a 47 min walk done for my cardio during gym closure. First visit for me. Parking lot is busy by the lake.
CVC does a great job preserving the area. The wildlife is amazing during the day I have seen;. Deer, Duck, Frog, Chipmunk, Fish & many different Birds. The shoreline by Lake Ontario has the best "skipping rocks" ???? & has some beautiful board walks along the way.
What an incredible gem in GTA! Boardwalk through the forest with soothing sounds of water and wildlife. Definitely recommend for a relaxing walk in the evening! Access is through Jack Darling Park so you can park in the last parking lot that’s closest to the water and then walk down the waterfront area to reach the trail. Finding parking there can be a hassle though!
Always a great local hike! I enjoy coming in the morning when it’s less busy. Parts of then trail are closed right now due to construction but overall still so much trail and boardwalk available.
Nice trail in Mississauga
Very well maintained conservation area with beautiful trees, lookouts and walking bridges
A local spot for some nice scenery in the GTA. Small, follows the trail along the lake and shares it both to Etobicoke and Port Credit. Marsh is great, loads of tables for families too.
Great park. Lots of benches with a nice view of the Ontario lake. On the weekend sunny day many people in the park.
An amazing conservation area in the middle of the city. Boardwalks are generally maintained and prevents people from spoiling the natural area.
Great place for family walk
Nice area for a quick walk on the credit river, you can sometimes watch the fish going up stream.
I would say, Rattray Marsh Conservation Area, is much better than Jack Darling Memorial Park in term of the views. Morning is the best, and in the autumn, the views are much more beautiful. I have been visiting several times to this area. It is good for taking a walk as well. However, in the weekend, there has been crowded with people walking inside the park. Rattray Marsh Conservation area is connected with Jack Darling Memorial Park. Many parking spots are mostly located at Jack Daling Memorial Park. Rattray Marsh Conservation area only has a limited parking spot. So it is better to park at Jack Darling, and walk to Rattray Marsh area. Some people bring camera to take pictures with red and yellow colours leaves as background and taking pictures for wildlife and birds. Some spots have broadwalks. However, there are part of the area, is still under maintenance, so the walk to that specific area, was closed. Hopefully, the maintenance work will be completed soon. Besides that small part of maintenance area, we can still enjoy many areas to explore, take pictures and walk. There are also some benches for people to take a rest after walking. It is recommended for people who like to hike. The trail or hike is easy to achieve and most of the walking trail are flat and not to long.
Nice walk and bike trails along the shore. Fall colours aren’t the greatest but it’s not bad at all. You’ll find some good spot for photograph. Only side street parking in the community beside the entrance. Kids friendly. Photos were taken 2nd week of October 2019
One of our favourite places to hike. Great boardwalk to walk on. Easy hiking for all abilities. Great rocky beach to visit and skip stones.
A forest jewel ????so glad is under recovery and getting more beautiful than ever ❤nice for a walk with family or a date or picnic
Very nice path way to walk alone or with your partner. Glad to find this llace
Beautiful trail and lots of great picture opportunities of nature or birds.
Amazing views and great for walks
Easy access, well maintained, beautiful views
It a lovely stroll through the Marsh. The air is fresh...you could instantly feel it. Peaceful and quiet, away from the noisy city. It’s nice to walk through the Marsh and feel one with nature. I take a moment and listen to the sound of nature. It’s like meditation. Walking through the Marsh is something I look forward to.
Grew up going for walks here. And I still do when I come back to Mississauga to visit my parents. It's a fairly lenghty well kept boardwalk and series of trails going through the woods and over the wetlands, very scenic and quiet walk surprisingly close to Lakeshore (though very well tucked away). Only warning is depending on the time of year, you might have to deal with copious amounts of flying insects coming out to spawn (I believe certain days or weeks of spring and fall or late summer, IIRC). That's just nature, no fault of the location and the people who keep it up. But do your research before visiting and be cautious if you think that sort of thing might really bother you. All other times the amount if insects feels the same as everywhere else. And otherwise, it's great
Love this walk, remember walking here back in the 70's, it a sanctuary for water fowl and so much more.
Great walk
Always a great place for a quick stroll, some areas are under construction/renovation but theres always enjoyable
If you like rock skipping, you don't want to miss this place????!
Best hiking track in Mississauga, quiet, beautiful, peaceful and scenic tracks. Beautiful lakes all around and treed
Great trail to hike, easy for all ages. Nothing to difficult, not much incline or decline sections. It's Fun for the whole family.
Nature at its best. Beautiful peaceful place to walk and enjoy Mother Nature.
unique landscape in the middle of the city...comfortable walkway , old trees and marsh...so beautiful.
Well if you are looking for a place to walk and relax your self this is a beautiful park
Great place to go for a walk and see some wildlife.
Beautiful wildlife and scenery for walking around.
Great place for a walk!
Marshy conservation area with boardwalks, hiking trails. Perfect spot to enjoy fall colours and to be closer to nature. There are trails leading to Shores of Lake Ontario(Pebble beach) and that’s what it makes a perfect place to enjoy a weekend getaway!
Excellent nature view and had a nice walk along the lake
Cute little nature reserve with wooden walkways and benches, great for sightseeing and morning runs
Quiet place beautiful trails. Take good care of what we have
Great place to take a walk
Great place for hiking and bird watching. Different types of habitat harbor many species of birds making this reserve a hotspot for birds. The birdlife ranges from different species of warblers, woodpeckers, birds of prey to shore birds. Active through the different seasons.
Beautiful trail, shady so good to walk during summer
Our kids love visiting the marsh. A pair of swans frequent the marsh and we still get a thrill out of seeing them. The playground at the end of the marsh is interesting and has public bathrooms next to it. There is on going construction of a new boardwalk, but it just means exploring new areas of the marsh as you make use of the detours.
Stroller friendly! Lovely in the fall!
We only had a short time but will definitely go back. So beautiful and nice clean water.
Beautiful in summer and winter.
I love it here. I've been bringing my son for years and this year my twins finally get to visit this area. Love the pure nature feel.
Great place to escape city within city. Great hiking trails. A lot of opportunities to observe nature. Fish wild life.
Beautiful!
Beautiful trail that leads to a paradise
Fall windy walk with whirling leaves and rushing swirling winds. Well maintained & excellently laid out very accessible hiking trail. Off shoots are fun too, although the wood gets slippery with leaves after rain.
Beautiful park to walk through with tons of wild life and beautiful views! The wooden path is quite near and if the water levels are low, there are a few access points to the water front. Dog friendly as well. Highly recommended on a visit to Port credit area.
Awesome place to walk with the family. Right on the lake. Great view of Toronto.
Loved the place. Was able to find few birds listed there. If you are into shooting nature pics, this is one place you shouldn't miss.
Spring is starting! Lots of birds out and about.
My childhood was filled with memories of long marsh walks and even after all of these years this place is as magical now as it was then. It's a sanctuary of peace away from the busy world and if you're quiet enough and still enough you may be surprised at just how much wildlife you find at home here living their lives in this tranquil paradise. Beavers, deer, turtles, snakes, lots of birds, insects and who knows what other majestic creatures you'll find :)
Beautiful quite trail. Perfect for relaxing by the lake and skipping some rocks.
Very nice long walks, picnic areas, and beaches.
Great place for an outdoor nature stroll. Many good entry points from the subdivision
Great views, easy walk, and accessibility. Would be great if there were places to sit at beach
Lovely walk through a conservation area along Lake Ontario. Right in Mississauga. You can start at Jack Darling Park, where there are lots of picnic tables and even a park for kids. The walk takes about an hour to do. Saw a gorgeous big hawk today.
We always come here for walks. The nature here is lit. 10/10 would recommend
The Rattray Marsh Conservation Area is an extension of Jack Darling Memorial Park on the western side. Both the park and the Conservation Area are linked. The trail along the lake will take you to the Marsh automatically. The very well-maintained area has refreshing trails, many safe and comfortable boardwalks, wildlife viewing platforms, educative and informative kiosks, lush greeneries in summer, and eye-catching varieties of colourful leaves in fall. This scenic conservation natural area is so alluring that it will clear your mind of all the clouds of darkness and transport it to the seventh heaven. It has the power to fill your heart and soul with elation, ecstasy, positivity, and peace. You will experience a state of bliss and enjoy extra-sensual pleasure. The exhilaration you get in the area that is full of varieties of nature: an immense lake, wild birds, the forested hillock, and not usually-seen-animals, is utterly indescribable in words. Rattray Marsh Conservation Area in Mississauga, certainly, is a must visit place for all the nature lovers, hikers, spiritually inclined people, and tourists.
The board walk over the marshland is fantastic. The paths are well maintained, fantastic place to watch birds and some good wildlife.
Lovely place to hang out with your spouse or love one. Great for walking... Beautiful water view...
Unique nature and well maintained trails. Nice beach and view.
Very nice area for nature walk. Elevated boardwalk. Lots of birds and wildlife.
Very quiet, not so big, but with various scenes. Good for an hour long break
So unique boardwalk trails near Lake Ontario, peaceful and beautiful. Not stroller friendly park, there are not public washrooms and not public parking lot. You should to park at Jack Darling Memorial park. It’s a perfect place for bird watching.
All year round this is a great place to get in a walk in nature right in my own part of the city. Deer, birds, fish, beavers, flora and fauna never disappoint.
A serene spot connected to hiking trails and bike trails along lakeshore that you can visit in all seasons.
Good place to visit. Only parking is a problem. Don't know why they arrange parking closeby or let visitors know it somehow.
Awesome place. Especially once the "pandemic" hikers are back in the malls and pathways are almkst empty!
Well marked paths easy to walk with shady areas. Beautiful landscape and we'll maintained
Very nice but small conservation area at Lakeshore Mississauga. Once you make yourself around Jack Darling park; just keep waking west and you will come across Rattray Marsh Conservation Area. Nice place to spend an afternoon.
Nice place to sit by the water there's a huge Park and public washrooms as well. There is no sand on the beach only pebbles.
Amazing. Great wildlife sightings.
Beautiful parkland and beaches at the waterfront. There are a lot of great scenic spots to see the skyline of Toronto as well as well maintained trails to wander along. Word to the wise, parking will be found at Jack Darling Memorial Park NOT down Gatehouse Drive. Also keep in mind that if you park in the very first parking lot, this will lead to an off-leash park so if you don't have a fur baby, you may want to follow the driveway a little further to additional parking. As there are a lot of dogs throughout the park, trod carefully to bypass hidden 'surprises' lol! Otherwise, a great place to enjoy one of the city's green spaces!
This is such a gorgeous place to walk and enjoy nature with many different trails to choose from. I love walking on the boardwalk by the lake, it is one of my favourite views. It is also a great place for picnics with loved ones.
It is a beautiful natural area of Mississauga and so well maintained! Beautiful spring wildflowers and lush green growth among the mature trees. There are well groomed walkways and boardwalks that make it easy walking for people of any age.
Great place for a walk! Nice and relaxing... However, it seems like a lot more trees are down this year. It's sad but still a relaxing experience.
Proud to see the community preserving a little piece of vital wetland near Toronto. Located on the waterfront trail, great place to visit by bike.
Marsh conservation are. Great for walks. In summer mosquitoes may be a problem.
Gorgeous walk and goes straight to Jack darling park which I had no idea about. Was well routed and so close to the water
Nice and relaxing place to visit
One of my favourite places to go for a walk. Very peaceful if you go weekdays, right by the lake, lots of nature to experience.
Nice easy trail
Great place to hike and bird watch. Nice scenic trails along the waterfront that connect to Jack Darling Park.
The walking trails were well-maintained and family friendly! Beautiful lakeshore beach with Toronto skyline views. Nice boardwalk for the Waterfront trail. No riding on the trails but some bikers didn't follow the signs. We all had a great time exploring the marsh! Parking at Jack Darling Park was already at capacity in all 5 parking lots on a beautiful Saturday morning at 10:30am. Glad we were able to find one of the rare streets that still allow for street parking. Park at Glenleven, off of Bexhill. The walk was even closer to the Marsh trails then at Jack Darling Park. We will visit again!
Beautiful location hidden away. Lots of birdwatchers and nice for walk on the boardwalk.
Very beautiful place away from city madness. The lake shoreline was very pleasant !!
Nice board walk, pebble Beach is unique, lots of shade...
Very nice and calm area.. by the lake.. a good walking trail as well.
Tranquil and a great place to get away even for a short time. Wonderful to walk.
Lovely place to walk...ride your bike... whatever. I love taking my dog here. She has fun swimming and exploring.
Amazing place, we lived in Mississauga for 13 years now and have been going to this Marsh just as long. I would recommend everyone passing by that loves nature walks to come by and see this area. Very beautiful :)
Rattray marsh is a conservation area which is within the city limits of Mississauga. It has a very limited parking area. Washroom and picnic tables area are available in one area.No entrance fee is charged, but a donation box is kept where you can give your donations.Memberships are available. Only pedestrians are permitted.open from sunrise to sunset. Raised board available for walkers.leashed dog walking permitted. Bird watching and photography permitted. Lake Ontario waterfront trails are prsent.
The knoll enabled us to overlook the Marsh and we spotted what looked like herons to us! The kids love the walk through Rattray Marsh and the great thing is that it also connects to Jack Darling park.
Really enjoyed the boardwalk trails. The information on the various species were great. Only got a four star because I wish the trails were longer!
Every step was exciting and pleasing
Amazing trail that goes thru the marsh land. Very beautiful walk that leads to a few different beaches on the lake shore. Also connects to Jack Darling Park which is a great park too.
Nice area but so slippery in winter
❤️
Beatifullake view and nice walking trails. Lot of entertainment for kids.
Great boardwalk and short trails for family and stroller friendly.
It's nice, but it's not a circled trail, you can either go one way and come back or the same with the other way.
A wonderful place to walk and take in nature.
Nice peaceful spot. It is connected to Jack Darling park. Well kept boardwalk which makes for a pleasant walk through nature.
Nice day through Rattan Marsh today.
Great trails but short
Grew up here for 16 years and still go back. Great trail in the city! Leads into a big beach side park with Ana amazing off leash dog park. Fantastic area.
One of my favorite places to come for a walk a hide gem
I truly forgot how beautiful it is along the trails and how calming it is by the lake. We all need to remember how beautiful our Province is. Take the family and enjoy the day an hour however long you can...you won't regret it..????
Nice scenery ☺ a good place to unwind..
Great walk! Highly suggest it!
Take a day trip to Jack Darling park while there go to the west side of the park and venture into the Rattray Marsh Protected Wetlands. the marsh has a mile and a half of railed boardwalk that meanders its way through the marsh; giving visitors an unobstructed view of the area and yet protecting the flora and fauna from being trampled. the boardwalk runs parallel to Sheridan Creek that feeds lake Ontario.
Excellent hike with small kids. I love that you don't have to worry about your kids getting in the way of bikes as there are no bikes allowed! As soon as I discovered this place I realized I don't have to drive 3 hours to Algonquin to be surrounded by nature on a hiking trail.
Love this for short walks!
Mississauga is blessed with a number of lakefront parks. This is unique because of the natural pond. There’s a beautiful boardwalk and wildlife viewing platforms. One can walk along the lake in all sorts of seasons. One of many hidden gems.
It is a huge park, I can see the lake from the car, must be nice, but could not find a single parking spot, had to go to another place far from city. It is the labor day long weekend, weather is perfect. Everybody try to come out to enjoy probably the last summer day of 2020.
Beautiful views for a nice nature walk. The beach was clean and not too busy.
Beautiful place to see
Great boardwalks. Always a chance to see some deer. Great way to kill some time outdoors.
Awesome set of trails along a beautiful waterfront landscape. Much of the trail is planked boardwalk
It's a very nice little park that is well maintained
Nice area to go for a walk, lots of great views!
Beautiful but very icy this time of year! There are clear signs that say trails arent maintained in the winter so use is at own risk!
Beautiful park for kids or animals. Very good and accessible location. Close to the lake . Very clean.lots of small animals and friendly. Nice both in winter and summer.
I love Rattray marsh conservation area. It connects to Jack darling park and you can walk the entire waterfront trail to the Bradley museum. In the summer a great place to see a lot of wild life and break from the heat. It's still amazing in the winter, you can see a lot of hawks through out the area. Trails are not maintained in the area so be aware and have appropriate footwear. Also note that bike are not permitted in the park as they can be disruptive to wildlife.
Great walk and trails for families
Great trail through a marsh! Nice wildlife around. It’s a nice walk on a wooden boardwalk.
Nice trail along Lake Ontario that has nice off-shoots that go right out to the lake. Great bird watching and very neat, large, old trees.
Beautiful, nice please for all the family
Trail was good but a little short. Nice scenic area to sit down and look at the water
Always a great place for a walk!
Nice trails. Clean. Some parts not accessible (stairs, steep hills). Bring mosquito repelant
Beautiful place for a walk
Great place for a peaceful walk, it feels very remote from the city even though it is not. Short walk to Jack Darling park. Saw a swan, ducks, a baby turtle and heron....surprised to see so much!
Rattray Marsh is a great place to go for a walk. The trails are not difficult at all. You can enjoy the marsh areas but there are some wooded areas as well. It's definitely worth a visit.
Serene place, nice boardwalk, a beautiful rocky beach, and great for birdwatching! ????????
Went around dusk and it was a beautiful walk with a great view of Toronto. A lot of work has been done fixing the trails and boardwalks. There were quite a few bugs but they weren't bothersome for the most part.
We really enjoy this trail near the the lake that provides boardwalks and access through the marshy landscapes. When you eventually get to the water through many of the trail access points - you are welcomed by a pebble beach. Along the shoreline there are spots of shade that are provided by the trees that extend our from the lush greenery. For those that are looking for a little sun, on a nice day there is plenty of that as well. Today along the path we were lucky enough to hear the frogs and birds and see the swans and deer along the path. Definitely recommend checking it out.
Nice little gem tucked away , definitely recommend going for a walk here on a nice day.
Nice place for a walk and too see a little nature
Beautiful setting and a great place to spend the day with your family
An amazing place to walk and enjoy nature.
Lovely short trails and boardwalks in the heart of Mississauga. You can easily do a 5-8 km loop by combining the marsh trails with neighbouring streets or with the walks in Jack Darling Park.
Quietest place to be in Mississauga with a view. Love it and the well maintained trails.
Sooo beautiful.. Amazin wooded walkway path.. Birds.. Hérons, beach.. Family park. Good for biking. Beautiful scenery
Great place for a hike any time of the year. There are playgrounds for kids, a beach where kids swim in the summer and a boardwalk in the marsh for better observation.
Great picnic spot and good long treck. Dip your toes in cool water. Excellent evening spent with kids
Nice walking trail , wooden over the marshes. Leads to other large parks too, interconnected
We enjoyed walking through Jack Darling Park and connecting to Rattray Conservation Area. Imagine our delight when we came across deer and fawn along the scenic walking trails!
Great trail to visit. Easy to get lost if it is your first visit. The maps are brutal. Super beautiful
Great trails, it was flooded in places but not the parks fault! Lots of wildlife, we saw a few toads, frogs and rabbits!
Idyllic walk. Bugs spray is a must.
They did a great job with this boardwalk and with making it accessible. My father was also easily able to join me on his mobility scooter.
Beautiful greenspace. No on-site parking
Clean and great views
Nice park, they keep improving and working on the trails.
Great place to walk - wish parking situation was better though!
Easy walk, about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace. The walk is fairly flat on tight packed gravel, boardwalks and some mulch in certain areas. There are observation platforms to view wetlands, marshes and streams. At dusk you will most likely spot a few deer.
Great nature walk in the Toronto area. Well maintained pathways that are easy to walk or run along.
Well kept conservation area, nice boardwalk around the marsh. Only disappointment was that Shingles Bar doesn't serve drinks, it turned out to be a sand bar with no sign of people on an October afternoon. Here's a photo...
Such a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the calmness.
Very nice walk especially with family and friends. Nice view.
This is the rudest community I have ever visited. As soon as you drove to the intersection of Bexhill/Gatehouse, you will see multiple signs that don’t allow you to street park there if you plan to visit Rattray Marsh. I heard from locals that there are a bunch of retired residents consistently made complaint about visitors. I bet themselves never parked in front of any other residential properties when they went out to visit any trails. Selfish. Shame. Period.
Very dissapointed with the parking situation. The city has now blocked all parking on the streets with new 'no parking' signs everywhere saying "Park at Jack Darling" which is total BS since its at least a 20 minute walk. So 'too bad' if you want to check out Rattway but have any time restrictions whatsoever. Besides, Jack Darling is absolutely packed and has 0 parking on any decent sunny day. So here's a sarcastic 'thank you' to the neighborhoods around Rattway and to the City for effectively blocking out the public from a public park in a obviously rich area. Absolutely beautiful conservation park though. Must be nice to live right next to it ????
Beautiful respite from the urban sprawl. Great wooden boardwalks through wooded, lush areas that bring you from the inner forest marsh area out to Lake Ontario. Great informative signs are scattered throughout the short trail and there are plenty of beautiful sites. The maps they have are useful for planning your walk as well. Went here for a Sunday stroll with my wife and it was a great experience. Will definitely be back, and look forward to enjoying it in all the seasons and seeing how the ecology changes. Well maintained and a wonderful destination so close to the city for a nice dose of nature.
Pretty nice place for an urban conservation area. It wasalittle crowded, especially considering that we were under lockdown.
Not a challenging hike. Flat surface means lots of families. Kind of noisy.
Beautiful place to walk and sit. Very fun playstructure down the walkway.
Very nice trail , you can use it in every season
What are the nicest spots people are unaware Of and very quiet Beautiful scenery and wildlife highly recommended ???? ???? ????
Awesome maintenance. All trails that I've stepped on are well marked for safety and navigation.
Unexpected surprise in Mississauga. Not the biggest beach, but raised wooden trails through protected marsh land were a hit with the kids.
Amazing place to hangout
It is a great walk... no traffic on the trail, but it was raining and after sunset
Very beautiful and calm park on the lake If anyone is wondering it is bordered with Jack Darling park
Lovely piece of nature set apart from but in the middle of suburban Mississauga. Lots of boardwalk to enjoy as well.
There are no washrooms along the path. Make sure you relieve your bladder before starting the trail. Enjoyed my walk though.
Rattray Marsh is just amazing. It has many trails throughout that offer some great views. Remember to bring a camera as there are many Lookout posts to take some great pictures at. There are many lakefront beaches that can be enjoyed. There is a fabulous boardwalk section that goes through the forest. I highly recommend going to this marsh. A great spot for hiking or a picnic with a loved one.
A nice place to walk around/hike. We even saw a deer!
Great nature preserve right in the city. Let's you feel like you are 'away'
Amazing natural landscape for enjoying outdoor activities with familiy and friends.
Best hidden secret in the GTA. Be considerate and pack out whatever you bring in. Make it a day, hike end to end.
Best spot in Mississauga for a hike and a dip
What a beautiful day to be amongst nature! Beautiful and relaxing trail - observe nature for what it is. But please people, pick up the junk! Let's keep our cities clean!!!
Wonderful park ideal for pick nick and people who wants walk in wilderness.
Serene, beautiful, spectacular are words that do not adequately capture the beauty of this place. Loved it.
Excellent place for picnics and lots of nature trails to explore
Lots of parking spots, nice trails for lakeside walk, lots of birds, nice view of Toronto downtown.
Our first visit. We loved it. The boardwalk and trails are well-maintained and very easy to walk. Great for a leisurely nature walk with the kids. We'll be back many times.
Great lakefront, lots of birds, nice picnic areas.
Loved walking it for 40 years, and still do daily.
Very good location for a hike. Did the route shown in red entering near green glade secondary school and coming out on lakeshore road near petro Canada. Most of route is waterfront trail which is part of the 16000km trans Canada trail.
An incredible trail for kids and adults alike.
Good walking trail, not for wheelchairs.
I've always like the trails here, it's very beautiful and peaceful. You can have a little walk while listening to the sound of the birds, and if you're lucky you might even bump into some deers!
Good view of the lake along with a long road to take a walk
Perfect trails with many options.
Great park, so much stuff too see
A truly beautiful, somewhat hidden walk in the city. There are several different paths, as well as a beach of smooth rocks. It's a real nice place to spend a weekend morning walk with a coffee in hand. My wife and I love coming here on weekends.
This is good .but parking is bad people get stupied fight.plus bugs bits.
This is one of the best local conservation areas I've been to. The trails are very well maintained. It's a great place to appreciate nature and see unique wildlife. When I was there I saw a beaver, ducklings, carp, and various kinds of birds. A birdwatcher's heaven!
Amazing park! Great walks, might even see deer
Too many mosquitoes. Need mosquito control. Otherwise a great site for picnic and etc.
Great provincial park with huge waterfront trail!!!!
This is truly a hidden gem hidden within Mississauga. I've lived here for so many years and just recently learned of this place through a volunteer program. I'm so glad I found a new spot for my long summer walks! It is beautifully maintained and the wooden boardwalk path makes the walk accessible for all. There are some areas where the trees have been cut down but it is unfortunately due to the emerald ash borer. There is still so much more wildlife and other living species to enjoy here every season like the hatching of snapping turtles and baby toads. I love how it covers a vast area of both forest and around the lake. Definitely worth a day trip here.
Love walking here. Lots of wildlife from birds to deers.
beautiful place to walk through, me and my dog have a fun time walking here!
Nice place to explore. Highly recommended.
Beautiful clean park, playground ,splash pad walking trails. Walk with a lunch and spend the day
Peaceful and calm place. One comes closer to the nature.
Nice naturally park to walk in the nature.
Heaven on Earth!! Been to Jack darling millions of time never knew a hidden treasure was just a few steps away? Very scenic.
So awesome...great views and many trails!
Beautiful and tranquil place. I was very fortunate to visit on a sunny crisp day but I'm sure it offers a variety of experiences throughout the year.
Well maintained trails. Great place for a stroll.
