This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of Historical landmark.
It was amazing to visit this kind of place where you can feel so much peace ,forget everything happening around you.
Awesome place to visit. You will love the view and there are restaurant as well when you are hungry.
Its a cute little working lighthouse on the lake. You can go only till the base which is on stilts, you can't go up till the top.
Great place to walk. Free parking at the lighthouse. The swan nest at the bridge is cool. Huge eggs!
For all those people who love to go on a night drive, this is just it. You would get a good night drive with a lovely view of the shore and lights.
Beautiful lighthouse I finally got to visit it last night when I was out in port credit
❤️
Peaceful home of BIA
Amazing views
This is my goto place. Whenever I feel bored i just take a walk here. Makes me feel relaxed
Very fun lighting of the light house event.
Amazing place to walk , bars all around
Amazing place for a stroll and/or paddle!
The lighthouse is great for scenic walks and selfies with friends. One of the great things in Mississauga is this attraction here. Good for any sunny perfect day for pizza or ice cream.
One of the Best hangouts in the evening
Great spot to stop and enjoy the water and watch the boats come and go.
Very great place to visit in Mississauga lakeshore
Nice light display at night. Good for some pictures . There are public washrooms underneath so that's good . Not much else .
Makes for a peaceful escape in the morning. Glad that this is one of the only things the tyrants haven't put yellow tape around.
Not a great lighthouse you would expect. It's on the road and you will ha e to park your car n then see.
Go there for walks and listen to ripples of water. The best time to visit Port Credit Lighthouse is in the month of December..We got to see Lighting the Light house. Its a local event and a well-loved tradition. We got to have some hot chocolates and sweets. But mind you it gets too cold..so armor up with winter clothes
Amazing location, love the waterfront. Lots of walking paths, view of Toronto, many restaurants along the Lakeshore rd
The problem with this place is that it is so much of a farce. Calling it a lighthouse and calling it historical is such a farce that I was upset when I saw it. Of course it has a great board walk out into the lake and you can see something like a rusted ship lying on its side in the water but other than that it is a very underwhelming place. That is a reasonable restaurant which overlooks the lake but in summary port credit is not really a place you want to go to.
Awesome place to stop by and enjoy a peaceful walk along the Lakeshore
Cute little lighthouse that attracts a lot of pedestrians.
Perfect place to go for a walk or just sit and look at some of the boats. Everything was nice except I really think the city should clean this place up. There was quite a bit of garbage lying around. But would recommend coming here if you’re in the area or live nearby.
Beautiful lighthouse that still functions. It is a shame that it is not more accessible at the moment, but it is quite a sight. Very clean and kept looking, and perfect alongside the water. If you have a chance to go see it, I wouls highly recommend it. It was not too busy when I went the last time.
If you’ve been here you’ve probably seen me tearing up the credit river on my little inflatable boat. Great place to hang out for a day and spend some time, lots of activities to do, you will not be bored or disappointed. The night-life is amazing, lots of bars and patios and the morning atmosphere is also magical, calm waters that you can rent a kayak or canoe and enjoy a morning paddle or whenever you’d like.
Nice location for a walk and to view the water and surrounding areas.
Nice walk along lake.
Ok place good lighting for Christmas but not dazzling as I was expecting.
Amazing views, clean and friendly staff and people. Good place to enjoy a nice walk by the water with family.
Always a great spot to relax and enjoy our lake. Seagulls sound like summer time when the winter months seem to be neverending.
I was there for kayaking during the sunset. The place for relaxing in middle of water. I record the sawanlake flying that was amazing.
Great little place to visit. Snug Harbour restaurant and many other food places nearby.
Port credit is amazing place, the cool breeze n the weather made my day
Beautiful as usual
Must visit. Go to the Old Stable Pub near by.
Very nice place to go for a walk. Parking is a bit of a nightmare.
Always a fantastic experience on the boardwalk here Great pictures to be had with the lighthouse as background and walking all the way to the end of the pier One gets a great view over an expanse of water however... The amount of encrusted bird excrement all over the railings and wood of the boardwalk make it really difficult to bring younger kids or really anyone who might be afraid of toxoplasmosis to the area I would highly recommend an evening stroll along the Port Walk here and, with parking available in the evenings, I would suggest that it's a pretty great place for an active stroll... Not my first choice for a picnic or anything where you want to spend time in one spot, but definitely I can't miss.
Place may look elegant at night but is nothing special in the day. Kinda looks ugly - a bunch of bright red against a serene background of docks and Lake Ontario. Not recommended to visit in the day. Come only after dusk.
I am here for a walk went often comes out. Scenery is also good little to invest time to walk around the refreshing feel can feel. Passing people also friendly and taking photos also a good place.
As has been said, lighthouse on Port credit is a beautiful quick trip to witness. Winter has its own charm but the shops around were closed. Restaurant at snug harbor was open and busy. Lake Ontario looked beautiful as always. A view of Toronto skyline though little far but was pleasing to the eye. No access to the lighthouse on the day we went. Plenty of parking space, which during winter has enough spots.
Great place in the summer. Full of people walking and enjoying the Credit river.
This is absolutely stunning, I love coming here just to see this lighthouse. Lighthouses are getting more and more rare so it's great that this one is still here.
A very Christmassy light house, adorned with colorful wreaths and lights outdoors. Many shops and businesses are closed, except for a few takeout diners along the road. There was a handful of pedestrians on the adjacent promenade, but it's nothing compared to the crowds swarming the area before the pandemic. Despite all this, Port Credit is one of my favourite hang out places in the GTA. Come visit and support the local business owners if you can afford it.
Place is good and clean but on weekends this place is complete mess their is no space for parking. I know their are almost 6 to 7 parking but still no place to park place is much crowded on weekends due to which level of cleanliness decreased. But on weekdays every thing is good you can enjoy nature here and peace and calmness is there in the atmosphere. You can enjoy beach and but we cant enjoy a sunset here but place is good for sunrise and we can do jogging and all at our free time and lots of rides for children even adults can enjoy that. Due to rides children can also love to come to this place and lots of pokestops are also at this place which is good for Pokemon go lovers
Some things never change… and never should. The port credit light house is more than a water marker, it’s lighting the path to home.
Nice place. Good scenary and well kept park.
It’s a lighthouse. Good place for a walk.
Amazing place to take a nice calm stroll and shoot beautiful pictures
Nothing special. The parks and attractions in this area need a good clean up. I live by Sq1 and it's so much cleaner and well kept.
Great place to visit at dawn
Nice place for casual walk
Its a good place to visit. It is a pumping station now with ofcourse a functioning lighthouse. I guess the original structure was destroyed way back when and this is a replacement. It is as with many attractions, the images and the reality is usually different. Same was with this, for me at least. A light house is usually this big stand alone building where the land ends. Not this though, its tiny and small but still beautiful and in the middle of the main street Port Credit next to a Starbucks, still a positive thing. All in all, good place to hang out with coffee and a free parking. ????
Amazing place to have picnic or have a good evening time spent here
One of our favourite urban walks. Great views of the Mississauga and the lakeshore and never too busy.
Beautiful view of the lake on boat port, with access to parks that are walking distance !
Cute little light House, nice sunset views
Christmas time at the lighthouse
It is really cool to see a working lighthouse this close to the stores and walking traffic. It adds a great deal of scenic beauty to the area and that true maritime feel that being this close to Lake Ontario should bring.
Today the Lighthouse was named "The Queen Bea's Lookout in Honour to Beatriz Moreira Laidlow. The real plaque will be place very soon.
Love to take out my SUP there. So blessed to we could paddle in our neighborhood.????
Such a pretty place to drop by
Very attractive at night
Historic landmark, great night life, beautiful visuals and paths to enjoy, and just as awesome in the day.
Lovely ambience, plenty parking near and walking distance. Good restaurants near by.
Good to take a walk with great views
Gorgeous views. Where I proposed to my wife as well so I have a special attachment to this place.
My favorite place and I almost go there every week. Amazing place to relax
Best place to visit during sunset with your loved once. Dont forget to grab your camera.
Nice small place
Charming and romantic place, filled by positive energy enough for all
Beautiful place. Loved it. But people don't wear masks while walking around. Felt unsafe and had to cut short our trip even though we loved the place. Parking is bit of a hassle.
Beautiful place for Sunday walking,or spend time with the family..
The water is dirty, garbage every where. The up keep needs major improvements.
Our all time favorite place for weekend walks around Port Credit.
The environment is upscale and lively. The floor to ceiling windows allow for the customers experience the natural light throughout the restaurant. The service is friendly and the food fantastic. Definitely will recommend people to visit this lovely place.
Quiet nice place to grab a coffee and walk down by the lake.
Historic place, you can watch the breathtaking sun rise and sunset from there, great place to take kids for a walk and enjoy the lake view, you may also get a bite close by.
It's a nice place to spend time, though right on the busy road, but has nice views & plenty seating area ,loved watching sunset there .
Beautiful spot for a walk scenic and always something to do I love living here ????
good place to spend some time with family
nice place good peaceful.
Good for kids. Places near light house are great. Lots of restaurant nearby to explore. Beautiful parks around so you can spend your evening there.
Good place to chill and take in the sunset
Gorgeous place to walk and visit, although it is quickly becoming a very crowded hangout for ignorant, immature and irresponsible idiots with hunk a junk BMW's and exhaust pipes. Stay on the paths, piers and harbour. Be very careful walking through the parking lots, roundabouts and nearby side streets.
Good meeting location.
The whole area is lovely and the scenery is great. Normally there are a few great places to eat nearby too.
Just stopped for a little while at boat ramp area. Nice to watch the mallards, swans and other water birds. It's good to visit a "blue space" ideally 2 to 3 times a week.. especially now.
