This is a really cool stop to catch up on local first Nations history. Expect to spend half an hour.

Beautiful art and a great story of Medicine Hat and the rich, cultural history of the prairies!

Nick Tremblay

Beautiful park with lots of trails to walk run or bike

Teo Todas

My favorite time to visit the teepee is Halloween. The city changes the lights to purple. If planning to take photos visit early in the morning before the tourists show up.

An interesting attraction in Medicine Hat. It looks great when lit up at night. Worth a stop to stretch your legs if you are passing through. It is highly visible from the trans Canada highway with a good exit and signage. The visitor's center is also nearby to get information on this great little city.

David Cusack

Great place to stop and walk the dog and stretch your legs.

Tyler Johnson

The world's tallest teepee can be seen along the highway one, but there are signs telling you how to get to the site. It's pretty cool to see in person, but it is not a site where you can spend any significant amount of time. The information boards tell of the origins of the medicine hat name which is pretty cool. It is close to the information centre located in the city. Lots of people hiking and walking their dogs in the surrounding area.

Sebastian Pittarelli

Cool that this is even a thing. Huge and pretty impressive

Kim Spencer

I think the monument is amazing with wonderful artwork. .my first time here & time well spent reading & viewing the art!..I noticed walking paths n woll definitely check em out on my next trip through there! ????

Kathryn Olivia Pryce

Easy to find if you are driving through Medicine Hat, and need a great place to stretch your legs and have a picnic lunch. The art work on site is captivating and presents an uniquely Indigenous perceptive to Canadian history and future. Close proximity to the Saamis archeological site, which is amazing for a longer walk, beautiful scenery.

Severight L12

Like the area like the art enjoyed the reading about it

Rachel Schoenberger

There are some very nice walking paths here going down from the teepee, great for a family walk, run or bike ride. The paths lead right under the highway into Kin Coulee Park. The teepee is also great to see. It is super tall and the parking is free. A nice place to see while staying in Medicine Hat.

Scarlett Dawn

It was, in fact, a very tall Tepee. It was cool. Well kept. Great info. Nice colors. Can be seen from a few different spots in Med. Hat. Might be because it is, in fact. The tallest. Lol! Very fun.

Linda Graham

Great artwork and great accompanying description/history told by the artwork of this cool skyline attraction!????

Chayleene Robbins

Beautiful lighting honoring the indigenous and recognizing more in the community

Jordan Franks

silpa sethy

Really nice and informative place. It’s hard to ignore right by the highway. Recommend to give a quick visit

Amedz Traveller

Nice teepee

Kathy Strain

Worth the stop. On plaques had some educational material, displayed wonderful artwork and told the story about the art.

CY Siu

A must stop and learn (lots of boards to read) spot. Let alone it's the world's tallest Teepee also. Beautifully done.

Elroy DPenha

Very impressive, very educational as well, a must visit when in Medicine Hat

Peggy Lok

More impressive that I had thought it would be! It is so much larger than photos show, and it's beautiful at night when all lit up. I loved the First Nations art that was displayed on the inside of the structure as well.

yusaurus

Great little stop. What appears to be a nice trail to walk your dog(s) is only an illusion. No one picks up after their pets. The trail is infested w dog poop! And people are not responsible with leashing their pets. Granted..your dog may be cute but please have some responsibility...this is not a dog park.

Kayla Elenbaas

Great place to walk or bike. Excellent trails & the monuments are intriguing and gorgeous

Kevin Boorer

Stop here whenever we're either driving through Medicine Hat or visiting. The teepee is pretty cool, from what I understand it wasn't nearly as easy to build as you'd think. But we mostly stop cause of the surrounding park, there's lots of paved and dirt paths, our dog loves it.

Kathy Doherty

Great place to stop and stretch your legs. Very dog friendly, complete with off leash area.

Patrick T. T.

Fantastic place with great historical native painting reflecting their life being.

Lucky K

The teepee is amazing and the scenery surrounding it is so pretty. The absolute highlight of my trip to Medicine Hat was when my dog and I saw a massive golden rattlesnake slithering across the path here. I took one star off because quite a few people had not cleaned up their dog's mess.

M Tamaki

Very iconic and interesting stories about the history of indigenous people.

Brayden Erickson

A very beautiful place. Lots to read and take in.

Nate Betzhold

Very cool spit.

A Chubaty

A lot of local teens in cars hanging out in the parking lot, but if you're a tourist passing through, it's a must see especially at sunset!

Valerie Robertson

A great representation of the aboriginal people within our communities. I like the numerous information pieces you can see and read. My only complaint is that there needs to be a couple of benches added to the mix and could they please put some reflective markers on the posts as driving in there at night can be hairy. Great Ingress spot too!

Olga Morozova-Gelmici

If you have any hesitations about to make a stop or not at this landmark, you should absolutely do it. The view from the highway doesn't do justice and the feeling you experience standing under this enormous structure is overwhelming. So, just take some time and stop. And read all the tables there as they speak about the history of its creation as well as about the people of the region.

Dustin Strilaiff

We don't own a dog yet. We have elderly cats and don't want to scare them to death. What we do love is bringing our kids here to walk the paths under the teepee and enjoy the sights. They love to wander through the area giving affection and attention to other peoples dogs.

Jason Cocon

Awesome spot! Lots of interesting information about First Nations people. You should stop by this spot when traveling through TransCanada Highway.
