Here you will see the opinions of real people like you who are purchasing the products and services of Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to Medicine Hat (Canada).
At present this business receives a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is virtually the top, and it is founded on a large number of reviews, so we may say that the evaluation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Art gallery.
Wide range of concerts and things to do. Clean, friendly staff. Great part of the community.
Great venue that hosts a lot of events. An important part of the arts scene in Medicine Hat. Also has a museum that is very interesting.
Beautiful venue and great sound. Also good adult sippy cups for drinks in the theatre. Highly recommend making the trip from calgary for the Medhat Jazz fest!
Interesting local Medicine Hat museum/gallery. Quite a modern looking building and has a little bit for everybody. A gallery, museum and exhibitors hub that is worth a visit.
This place has good acoustics. Its not a huge venue so there really aren't any bad seats. I have been to a few concerts here as well as the museum. A good place to visit.
One of the king-pins of attractions in Medicine Hat, the little cafe they have is amazing as well as all the shows.
A classy venue with that small-town friendliness. We've seen numerous big musical acts here, and it's always a pleasure to enjoy the art. Other venues encourage mobbing the stage, but that doesn't happen here. There's just this _chillax_ sorta atmosphere at the esplanade.
Always nice to stroll through the gallery to see what's new as well as the museum. One of our communities great assets :-)
My daughters dance competitions are always at the Esplenade. The entire building is easy to access. There is tons of room in the foyer which makes it easy to move around even when its full of families and friends waiting to see their daughter(s) and/or sons perform.
Great place to see a concert and visit the gallery
We will rock you was fantastic hopefully more show like this will come to Medicine hat instead of going to Calgary
It is an amazing building and an amazing environment... Supporting local artists and local talent... As well as bringing in artists and musicians from around surrounding areas and the world. great museum display in the history and the progress of Medicine Hat. A beautiful environment for any and all occasions and best of all they serve alcohol
My first visit here and it is a incredible facility that culminates multiply facets of culture. From art to live performance and a historical museum of the region. When I was visiting their was a powerful exhibit by Jude Grobiel on humans impact on the earth that I found profound and engaging.
Great acoustics and decent events /names. Drinks are pretty steep, but overall a great venue
Very nice building. Lovely galleries, great performance venues (if a little too small for the big shows.) I realized my lifelong dream of seeing Weird Al Yankovich live here, and a friend has had a lovely wedding on the rooftop patio. As to the rumour they've started serving ice-cream: don't believe everything you read online.
I went here for an event and it was absolutely beautiful. I love how you can see the original architecture with a modern touch.
Always new shows coming through, love the museum access pre-show. Not a bad seat in the house.
By far, the best venue I've ever seen a concert at! Up close and personal, and not a bad seat in the house! Concessions are a bit pricey, but when you're paying $40 for a concert, it's not really that big of a deal. I will definitely be going back in the future!!!
This place is a must when visiting MH. It has one permanent exhibition that's amazing and two rotating exhibits. The lady in the entrance is very helpful. The kids can do a scavenger hunt looking for different pieces from the exhibitions. The only reason I don't give them 5 starts is that there was about twenty ..twenty five people in the entrance all packed without mask or any social distancing and the people working there didn't care.
Had a great time at this show! They have some pretty good shows here. Great place to bring the kids as well. My children go on a lot of field trips here, and they always look forward to it.
Good place, Archivist is great. You should give him an office with a window.
The theatre is set up very well acoustically. Every band I've seen there has sounded pretty good compared to a lot of venues. I wish the beer selection was a little more vast. Thankfully hard alcohol is available as another option.
Great museum. Visit even if you live in the Hat. The joint College/Esplanade displays are also great. I've also attended a wedding here and it is a beautiful venue.
Always enjoyed the shows here, infact I would give them 10 stars if Google allowed me to.
The space is great, however an elderly usher was INCREDIBLY rude to my young child - leaving my child in tears. I was upset and politely confronted the usher about how to kindly speak to a child. She did not empathize nor did she apologize. Perhaps they need to ensure their ushers are younger, more upbeat, kind and pleasant.
This place is beautiful, and I appreciate having it in medicine hat, however the one negative I have about it is the drink/bar situation. The drinks are expensive, and you are required to buy the reusable cups they have. I am VERY "pro" re-usable cups and not wasting plastic, and understand the desire to protect the building and its finishings, however paying $3 for a reusable cups on top of the already expensive drink is frustrating. I wish they had an alternative option, or offered a discount on the first drink with the purchase of the cups, or SOMETHING.
It’s great having a place like this in our city. A beautiful facility that puts on great events! Be sure to check out their schedule and visit often. Worth it every time.
It was awesome...I was outside having a smoke while my dad ran inside to buy tickets for an event. Google just because I was near the place does not mean I actually went inside.
Nice space. I only came down for the Weird Al concert but before hand they had the gallery and museum open. It's a nice space with great sound. I don't know if the sound was the building or the bands own setup but it was very good.
So glad to be back to watch improv. Such a great facility for our community. Looking forward to a time when shows start again.
Saw The Headstones play here. Excellent small concert venue. Every seat is exceptional seating. Accoustics/sound here was the best I've heard for a concert.
Excellent venue for a wedding!
Under other circumstances I would give the Esplanade five stars. On this occasion however it is the lowest. I would like to express my disappointment at my fully documented, doubly vaccinated , masked, out-of-country daughter not being allowed to enter the Esplanade . As she resides in the USA but was vaccinated in Canada, she has not needed a QR code to date. She therefore attended with all of her documentation - which has been accepted in all other places - and was not allowed in. Very disappointing and embarrassing as well. Our hope is that your policy around proof of vaccination allowed for situations such as this. Obtaining a QR code under her circumstances takes 2-3 weeks - as we found out once she came home and uploaded her vaccination records.
Gorgeous little arts center. We go there for my daughter's dance competitions. Loss of 1 star for abysmal parking during weekdays.
This is a great museum for a city the size of Medicine Hat. There is one permanent gallery with a general history of the Indigenous peoples and then a history of the local area. There are 2 rotating galleries. It is pay what you wish, I suggest between $10 and$15 per adult.
The esplanade my be a nice facility, but try and get a refund on tickets on a concert that was canceled. When I call the number on the ticket, I get a recording telling me to go to the web site where cannot find to get a refund on tickets
I have been able to attend a handful of performances at the esplanade and I am continually blown away at the sound quality, how intimate they make a moderately large venue feel, and the helpfulness of the staff is unbeatable. I also enjoy the galleries and the wide scope of art the esplanade brings to the city. Also, if you weren't aware the library has tickets you can "check-out" for admission to the gallery and museum.
would like more entertainment for my age group 55-70 but I have been to many events and enjoyed all but one (Elvis & Priscilla)
We went to see a musical. Some drunk sat behind us and wouldn't shut up. Usher moved us for second half but a lot of money to listen to a drunk.
I've been here lots for concerts. Great size for venues. Close to home for me as I cab.
I went on a tour behind the scenes of the Esplanade as part of a workshop conference on Genealogy. What wonderfully controlled and well thought out work the staff of the Esplanade do there. I enjoyed meeting the staff and learning about the Archives and seeing all of the schedules, literature and how clean and welcoming this place is. We need more of this in the Hat. Great site to spend an afternoon if you are new.
Great venue to take in a concert. The Art Gallery usually has some very cool exhibits to view as well.
Excellent venue - great for small concerts!
My friend and I went to see the All Country show. Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Tim Magraw, Faith Hill, Johnny Cash and Shania Twain impersonators! Fantastic Show. If you get a chance to see them in your town, please do so! You'll truly enjoy them!
This place is amazing, and a treasure for Medicine Hat. We walked through and were able to see three separate exhibitions as well as the local Museum. Painting, photography, re-imagined glass figures, and the history of the area all in one afternoon.
It's clean and staffed. City operated. Well built building. Watched Snoop dog perform here. It was a great show.
First time back in 20 months missed the shows.great concert tonight. Washboard Union was great loved the show thanks to the staff.they were organized well done
Visited for the Remembrance Service. Obviously it was busy due to the event but it looked very well presented and organised.
Black Gold Tapestry by Sandra Sawatzky was an incredible hand embroidered masterpiece story about the history of oil.
It’s disappointing when the attention to the food and drink experience is overlooked. Liquor selection quality was poor as we were here basically all weekend with dance competition and even though it may seem insignificant, a good quality craft beer could go a long way.....????
