We have all the opinions of real people like you who are using the products of Lunenburg Waterfront (Tourist Attraction) around Lunenburg area (Canada).
Currently this business receives a rating of 4.7 over 5 and that rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is basically the best one, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the evaluation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of Tourist attraction.
Fabulous location with so much interesting history. Loads of restaurants facing the waterfront, horse carriage tours, boating (whale) expeditions and, of course, the Fisherman's Museum, restaurant and gift shop. (Hope you catch sight of Bluenose!)
Visited the harbour by boat. Had an amazing time ashore. There are many fantastic restaurant's and lots of neat shops to visit. The fisheries museum is a place where you can spend an entire day. It is not possible to explore everything Lunenburg has to offer in one day...
Very beautiful old historic town. Many historic houses and churches. Beautiful architecture and very good visitor center, Good views,
One of the prettiest spots on the planet...too late in the day to enjoy a restaurant, but I've heard excellent stuff about several of them.
Always like walking around.. good food and fun shops to explore
Loved this small town. Very charming and quaint with a number of great restaurants.
It’s a famous place but not much to browse
Excellent well worth a visit. Restaurants are excellent and the fisherman's museum gives a good insight to life in the past.
Wonderful old world town with beautiful views of harbor from every street. Very good quality and quantity of historical markers throughout town. Great local shops!
Home of the Bluenose and picture of the old canadian $100 bill.
Cutest town with fantastic colours, history, people and restaurants. Can't miss it!
Great place to walk the water front and see some tall ships as well as eat at some great sea side restaurants.
The birth place if the Bluenose , my Great Great Uncle was Angus Walters . I just love strolling through this beautiful little town. I miss the folk festival there.
So picturesque and interesting, lots of history. Beautiful churches and architecture.
Most things were closed when I visited around 7pm. Wasn't busy but there were a good number of people eating on the patios
Great, beautiful place. Quiet through the week. Bustling on the weekends. Fisherman's life museum, lots of restaurants and great accomadations. Lots of photo opportunities at this great town.
Soooooo gorgeous. Only there for a couple hours and loved it
it's cute town
Beautiful historic waterfront, home to the Bluenose 2 (the ship on the dime) which was in port at our visit and we were able to go onto the deck for a tour. The waterfront is a great place to see various tall ships/sailboats. Lots of cute stores and friendly people. Tons of movies and tv shows are filmed in Lunenburg; Locke & Key was getting ready to film season 3 when we were there. There is also a large piece of the Berlin Wall at the legion. Well worth the visit.
Beautiful old buildings in lots of different colors. The amazing Bluenose 2 was docked at the public wharf. Well worth the drive to visit.
Awesome small town with lots of great places to eat and explore.
Great little place...staff was awesome !!
Another national treasure. Not to be missed, rain or shine.
Lunenburg is the home of the Bluenose and is a lovely seaside hamlet. Lots of places to eat and a few to shop at. We walked to the Hat Junkie shop and were quite taken by Anna and her collection. Look it up.
Lovely spot. Not enough parking lol
Beautiful to walk and so nice. Lots to see and lots of little shops ! Also great places to sit and enjoy the view.
Nice waterfront views out and up to the town. Also got to see the Blue Nose II.
Beautiful
???? lovely town. Nice waterfront area. Bathrooms in great condition. Disappointed that we couldn't get closer to the Bluenose II.
Had a fantastic walk through the town and along the waterfront. There are tones of great seafood restaurants, cafes, bookstores and souvenir shops nearby. The maritime history museum on the waterfront is also a few hours well spent.
We love Lunenburg so much we moved here from London Ontario. This is a MUST see spot for any maritime trip for it's beauty, hospitality and history. Enjoy the Fisheries Museum and catch a lovely bite from a number of patios with a view. And be sure to check the touring schedule of the BluenoseII for a view you'll never forget.
Beautiful, the colorful houses make it really nice.
Great place to experience the East Coast way of life.
Great fisherman's museum in the birthplace of Canada's Bluenose Schooner.
go to this place after the may long weekend or else nothing will be open. this shot was taken across the waterfront.
Very nice old Town. Good museum. They teach a lot about history etc.
Beautiful. Don't miss the view from across the harbour.
Loved it, awesome place to visit in NS.
Cute little park with lots of green around ☺️
Beautiful place.
Very good place to go for a short trip, artistic environment
Beautiful place! It really worth the visit! Come and enjoy!
One of the Beautiful places in south shore .its a historic place in Novascotia.Old Town Lunenburg is one of only two urban communities in North America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can see lot of restaurants here .It is a great place to capture beautiful pictures. This Place is so busy in summer time. The scenic beauty will capture your heart. It is really worth to visit.
10/10. Very cute community and the waterfront stores/restaurants are phenomenal.
Pretty. But a little cool when we visited; off season.
A must see in Nova Scotia
Always a great place to wander around and explore.
Gorgeous view, lovely shops, parking a little hard to find but very pedestrian friendly!
Very beautiful. Loved the boat ride with guide. Must visit location in Nova Scotia.
Great food, friendly staff, clean and safe!
Interesting place but not as big as I expected from tourism photos
Love the old town feel. Horse rides are very expensive though!
Very quaint tourist town. Wonderful history. Enjoyed all the shops, cesar and appy on the waterfront. Grat way to spend the day!!! A must see
The beauty is amazing Everywhere you turn its natural beauty
Must visit town, very picturesque..
Very beautiful to walk around. Nice houses, good restaurants. Perfect for some photos. We went in late October and the museum was closed.
Beautiful little since with great views and fantastically friendly people.
Great place for a stroll and very well curated shops. There is literally one of everything here. Super cute!
Really wished we had more time to spend here. Lovely shops, quaint neighbourhood. Driving through Lunenburg is a bit tricky as roads are steep through the town and one-way but park somewhere and walk! Drive across to the golf course for a picturesque view of the Canadian heritage!
Excellent place to visit. Booked a fishing excursion and was not disappointed!
Beautiful, colourful town. Lots of art galleries and nice shops. Lovely waterfront. An interesting visit ????
The Lunenburg water front doesn't disappoint. From the water the coastline looks like a post card of East Coast living. Home to the Blue Nose 2 make sure you plan your day as ship space fills up quickly. If you missed the Blue Nose do not worry as there are other sailing options leaving from the same pier. There are lots of restaurants with a variety of sea food options as well as a very good pizza place. Get there early as parking is limited being such a popular tourist destination. Enjoy the great food, views or tour the town in a horse drawn buggy. We had a wonderful time, the kids had a blast.
A picturesque coastal community on Nova Scotia's South Shore, Lunenberg's waterfront offers spectacular views from a working wharf while keeping a sense of how this small fishing town has operated for the past 200 years. Fresh seafood abounds, as well as plenty to see and do!
It's an old time romantic eastern maritime must see
Quiet little town to wander round. Lots to see and do.
This is a beautiful small town along the waterfront. Lots to see, there's a dock with Muskoka chairs so you can sit a view the water and the bay. They have a fisherie museum and gift shop with a range of gifts that are cute and affordable, along with an ice cream shop next door It's a nice place to spend the afternoon
Even in this time of altered reality, we found Lunenburg to be pleasant and engaging with smiles you could see right through peoples masks. We spent money on closes, great food and ice cream and made a day off work feel like a vacation.
Beautiful old waterfront. Lots of restaurants and historical buildings.
Lots of choices for activity and food. Also history. Beautiful
Such a beautiful place filled with loads and loads of history.
Absolutely breathtaking and I have lived here all my life, never get tired of its beauty
Beautiful little area to visit and have a nice meal. Definitely a must see if you're in the area.
In Lunenburg there is a nice waterfront and maritime museum. You find nice art galleries there.
Boats everywhere!!perfect if you love Ocean things !!
Stunning! ❤️
Great food and a great view!
Charming seaside village with great shops, lots of parking, and wonderful ice cream.
Very pretty place & historical place to visit. The sailboat tour experience was very thrilling! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nice historic village. Went on a Sunday and many shops were closed until noon.
Beautiful Town and very clean, friendly and a great place to visit.
Good
Quaint spot, very small town. If you can, book a cruise on the bluenose II....IF you can.
Pretty crowded when we visited (Canada Day) . Nice harbor front and lots of boating options.
Just lovely!
Absolutely, magical, true Canadian, excibition of true Canadiana, as is Quebec City, and other area's of Canadian history. The fog slowly incumpasting the land masses are the true and real visual awe. God Bless Canada the true and vibrant country of ours....
Is a beaultiful place! Colors houses, it's a cool!
A pretty place, but I wouldn't say massively different from most of the coastline of the southern part of Nova Scotia.
Beautiful place to take a stroll, learn about the history of it and walk around the downtown area for nice shops and scenery. It might get crowded so plan accordingly. Even at this time of the year there were lots of visitors.
Interesting place when things are open. I was too early.
Beauty 360 We are from the states; we drove in from Halifax. Lunenburg did not disappoint. We enjoyed walking through the town and taking in the scenic waterfront.
Great scenic location but needs more public restrooms that aren't located in pubs or restaurants
A good family place. Interactive displays and ships to play on. Authentic artifacts for adults. A gift shop that has something for every age and interest. Maybe not fine dining, but that is available in the area. $6 flat rate for parking at the pier. N.B. make sure you have exact change in either quarters, loonies, or twoonies.
Almost everything was closed. A sign to identify the Bluenose II would be nice.
Had a nice time easy parking got to walk around and see some of the sites went in a restaurant had a fine meal beautiful day
The most enchanting place! Artisans, great food, scenery are all amazing. Friendly shopkeepers and lots of tourists from around the globe.
Must go in town Lunenburg. You can take a town walking tour or horse ride here.
A beautiful part of Nova Scotia that adds to the picturesque landscape all around. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site that remains true to it's intent. Fisheries Museum Of The Atlantic is a gem for anyone interested in the history and lore of the Atlantic fisherman, and the beloved Bluenose. Wonderful people in a charming town.
bAnice place to spend the evening to watch the sunset and have some local seafood
Great place to visit. Loved the small town.
A great place to take some amazing pictures and spend the day. Make sure to visit the cute little shops around the harbor.
Beautiful old town! Good and fresh food like lobster and mussels. If you are in Halifax you must visit. From boat builders, museum to small shops. Even a huge golf bane. Beautiful and polite people!
Nice area but tough parking.
Beautiful spot. The bay sail tour was worth it!
Less to see than anticipated, still a great area to visit.
Ironworks Distillery and a walk around the town was wonderful
Beautiful, but it feels like you and every other tourist in the province is there at the same time. Check out the fisheries museum!
Lunenburg is a friendly community with a working fisherman vibe, but welcomes tourists of all stripes. The restaurants are great and the vista is typical mid-century Nova Scotia.
A beautiful place to walk and enjoy the sights and the sounds of Lunenburg. It is one of the main tourism spots in Nova Scotia for a very good reason. Plenty of great restaurants and shops to choose from with a lively nightlife that people of all ages can enjoy. Do yourself a favor and spend at least one weekend during the summer exploring Lunenburg.
Birth place of Bluenose and Bluenose 2.
Just an outstanding, beautiful place. Everything about this spot is great!
Neat water front with lots of historic houses in the area
Went golfing!???? Weather and the veiws were amazing!!
Wont find a better spot to wander around for an afternoon. On a sunny Summer day it's pretty much Heaven on Earth.
Such a beautiful, historical place.
I love the boat ride.
A great place to bring kids all year round.
From the Atlantic Ocean, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, looks like a postcard, colorful hillside houses and leafy trees are arranged in a row. Tourists flock to this pretty town, drawn by the famous tall ship Bluenose. Lunenburg is chock full of interesting architecture and beautiful historic homes. You should walk around the harbor. If you look closely, there is a revealing clue to this town’s connection with its maritime past. Many of those houses have a top-floor “widow’s walk,” a glass-lined perch where families anxiously awaited their loved ones’ return from sea. Many homes and buildings have historic plaques. It is not a very large town, so you will be able to cover it in a car in a short amount of time too. Part of the town overlooks the harbor with wonderful views of the water. There are lots of shops, restaurants and waterfront to enjoy. Do not forget to take your camera!
Awesome place ! Great restaurants !
Such a remarkable history and beautiful waterfront
❤ Beautiful place.. you must visit @shop on the corner try the wild blueberry tea ????
Worth stopping by when you’re in nova scotia! A pretty neat town with beautiful old houses in a different colour. Lots of tourist so parking is a lil hard but glad we found a spot right by the ocean front. There’s a pay parking lot ($6-only accept change/coins) just outside of the museum, restaurants and the pier where you see the beautiful famous bluenose!! :)
Bluenose wasn’t there or else 5 stars. Very tourist friendly, loved it.
You are transported to somewhere else real calm place
Great place to wonder around and check out the restaurants and shops
Great sights, awesome restaurants, super shops
Lot of fun in winter.
Colorful backgrounds and pristine facades. Make sure you take a short walk to the Berlin wall segment
COVID closed many long time historical neighborhood shops and restaurants. The few that were open were nice.
Lunenburg is an excellent stop and you can see many historical buildings. There is a lot of history here and witnessing the architecture is really exciting for someone who does not get to see old buildings very often. I highly recommend it at any time of year. There are many shops and restaurants that are open, even in the winter.
Over the top amazing...beautiful...I was looking at real estate Great retirement idea
Great town and water front amenities. Parking availability needs some work.
Bluenose tours, waterfront warf, restaurants and lovely shops for all family members no matter the age.
Lunenburg is an iconic Maritime town with an interesting history. Very, very pretty, lots of good places to eat and some good shopping.
From here cruise boat available for Whale watching
Many-2 colorful houses.Famous for one of the Bluenose ship. Waterfront location and sight seeing are really need to watch
An absolutely beautiful part of Nova Scotia! Well worth strolling around, enjoying the colourful buildings, and the splendor of the ocean.
Very quaint little town!
Just a wonderful place to lounge and explore among several classic sailing vessels
Really nice town. Local breweries and distillery and great food.
It was quite even for a warm summer evening. Nice place to visit. Most museums closed by 5pm so didn't get to explore them but was lovely to walk around Harbourfront
For the UNESCO Heritage site, I don't see anything wow. It is like any other city. Nice water front. Crowded restaurants.
Lunenburg Waterfront is a great place to walk around, sit down and enjoy the gorgeous landscapes as well as the beautiful ships passing by.
Cute little spot for a walk and a fun playground for the kids a bit further up!
A beautiful picturesque spot that is still a working wharf. Very few tourist spots can host a rich history, a thriving present, and an enduring future like the Lunenburg waterfront. Be sure to stroll the full length and visit the Marine salvage store and the Dory shop.
Went in April so not much attraction. The bluenose.was cover and museums closed. It's a must during summer time I bet.
It was a great experience. Go early to catch the boats that take you whale watching and you can also see a better view of the waterfront. I got the there too late. Lastly there is a segment of the Berlin wall near by.
This is one of the most popular destination in Nova Scotia
The waterfront in Lunenburg Nova Scotia is one of the most beautiful waterfronts in all of Canada from its fishing boats to being the home of the Bluenose this place is a must see!!
Great restaurants. Wonderful horse and buggy ride with historical tour guide. Beautiful habour front.
Enjoyed walking thru the waterfront in Lunenburg. Quaint fishing village has some remarkable viewpoints for picture taking.
I'm from Sydney, in Cape Breton, and have been a local historical tour guide, but it blew my mind to see an older town than ours that still managed to have so much of its original core intact.
Great place to walk and explore.
Great place. Beautiful town.
Nice scenery, lots of great places to eat, lots of shops to check out
It is very picturesque and the Town in itself is quite charming. We went in off season so it was not at all crowded and we couldn't really the boat tour. Loved the colourful houses and the pretty country style waterfront.
Luxemburg waterfront was just beatiful to walk around. Nice resteraunts in the surrounding area
Wonderful experience
Everyone who travels to Nova Scotia should visit Lunenburg if they get a chance. A charming town which is home to the Bluenose schooner. (On the Canadian dime) There are a variety of resturants and gift shops which you can explore. It is a treat to have an ice cream and wander along the waterfront.
Be sure to do sail boat tour. 2 hours of serenity!
Definitely recommend this stunning, historic town. It is a UNESCO site. Highly recommend the horsedrawn tour if you get the opportunity.
Breakfast was splendid and view completed the experience.
The Lunenburg waterfront is one of my favourite places on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. It is a small waterfront, and it doesn't take long to see it all, but the history of an early fishing town, and birthplace of the Bluenose make it a worthwhile stop. The waterfront is part of Old Town Lunenburg which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site noted for being a best surviving example of the base of an offshore Atlantic fishery and has a preserved town layout and appearance from the 18th century.
Beautiful place to visit
Beautiful area and lots to eat. But the smell of poo is usually over whelming in spots
A great place for a walk and a very clean town!!
Great view, perfect chill spot with the Adirondack chairs
Amazing place to spend a day. The Eastern Star sailboat tour is amazing! Great food, clean streets, and free Wi-Fi.
Stunning seaport, great food and shopping, really nice locals. Must see if in Nova Scotia.
Walking the waterfront in Lunenburg just puts joy in your heart. People talking to each other about all the sights! Smells of sea air. Great restaurants, book stores, crafts, and just plain old normal needed shops! Museum on waterfront. Horse carriages! Art galleries! NS history in live living existence. As you wander around - you realize - I want to live here!
Fantastic old fishing Village on the Atlantic in Nova Scotia. The view of the water in the view of the Town they're both spectacular. The museum is worth the trip too.
Beautiful!
One of the main attractions of Lunenburg is the waterfront. Although I visited off season, it was still a nice stroll without the crowds. Architecture and colourful buildings are a draw, as well as the boats.
Such a nice place to visit. Lots of heritage and art.
Totally understand why this town is designated as a UNESCO Heritage Site. Incredible architecture throughout town.
It is like seeing in colour for the first time.
Fantastic.....it's a must a visit place ... British colonial times , European style build historic town
Wonderful small town. The view from the waterfront is gorgeous.
Pretty boardwalk & buildings. Very busy spot with shops & food businesses. Horse & buggy tour available. There's an awkward time before 5pm where some places are closed for food and creates a bit of an issue getting in somewhere to eat lunch/late lunch. Hard to find parking if it's really busy.*
Don't miss visiting here. You can see it, smell it, taste it and overall feel it. This is the soul of scotia, Nova Scotia.
Nice all community
Lunnenburg is a great place to wander around on a sunny day. Lots of colour and history. Who let CIBC build their offices on the High Street which are just so out of character with the rest of the town?
A beautiful place to visit. We came late in the day so not much was open but the views were worth it. Definitely take a moment to explore.
Looks good. Blue nose rocks. However in off season no public washrooms available. That's not good
Nice little town to spend the day in! Amazing buildings and vibe walking around the streets. Pay attention to the plaques on some of the buildings that show who the original buildings were built for (E. G. City sheriff, doctor, etc).
Beautiful place to walk around and soak in the Maritimes.
Nice world heritage site.
Really nice place. You must visit if you have the chance.
Love Lunenburg!! Beautiful setting, friendly people!! Incredible sail on the Blue Nose !!! Well worth the trip !!
Awesome place to visit. Very scenic.
We loved going to lunenburg it was great we took a horse and buggy ride though the town and had supper at the grand banker bar and grill food was phonomenal. You gotta eat there and take the horse ride. I will go again
Amazing spot. With breath taking views. I love going here.
Really nice town, love having lunch on the deck overlooking the ocean
Lovely, waterfront and historical site
Such a lovely little town. Just walk through those colourful houses makes me so happy. Their local seafood is really good too. I'd love to just stay there a bit longer.
Such a well maintained, historic town, gotta love it! The Bluenose had just shipped in as well, so our visit was complete!????
The Lunenburg Waterfront in Nova Scotia is a pristine bevy of water craft, wharf walkways, bistros/eateries, local businesses and gift shops. Various tours are available from horse drawn carriages, walk abouts or on the sea. Of course one of the main attractions of the waterfront is the Bluenose II. The original schooner built on March 26, 1921, had no equal. However, after decades of racing, she was sold to a trading company and in January of 1946, the vessel struck a reef off of Haitti and was lost. In July of 1963, Bluenose II was launched and began her career as Nova Scota's sailing ambassador. When docked, visitors are welcomed aboard the top deck, admission free. The crew are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. One can only feel total admiration for such a vessel and the beautiful waterfront of Lunenburg NS.
Such a beautiful place. Friendly people. Good food. What's not to love? I highly recommend the Fish Shack. The lobster roll was delicious, as was the fish. Lightly battered and very crisp. Not greasy at all.
Very cool place for a walk
Great place. Lots to do.
Cute little town with great seafood.
Whale watching tour is a nice way to sightsee.
Nice tourist place to check out. Lots to do here and see.
Beautiful view
This is one AWESOME town. It may be a little pricey, but you gotta take the guided buggy ride through this historic town!!!!
This part of Nova Scotia is beautiful to behold anytime of the year. There is so much to see and do, whether you have a limited budget or pockets as deep as King Midas. But the crown Jewel of things to do is to just walk around the old part near the Academy and Church as the day turns to night - so incredibly peaceful and relaxing.
Beautiful Place to visit.
Great place to visit, a must see when visiting Nova Scotia.
Favorite place to visit especially when the bluenose 2 is in dock
Beautiful and historic fishing village and official home of the famous Bluenose II schooner.
One my favorite places. Make sure to check out ironworks micro distillery
Stunning....a must see ... Very friendly ppl... Busy little place All your looking for in 1 place
Nice town. Very laid back scenic.
So many pokestops and a good number of gyms. Spawns on the waterfront itself were plentiful but no shinies and that is disappointing.
Very beautiful historic place to visit..????
Beautiful but sadly it was raining. Didn't spoil our time there C&D
Peaceful full of happy moments and great food!
The city is so cute, and the people unbelievably polite. With little shops everywhere, and a legendary view of the ocean, it really is a city you cannot miss.
Great town on the waterfront. Clean and welcoming. Also a UNESCO site, just an added bonus.
Beautiful location, would highly recommend to anybody looking to visit Nova Scotia!
Beautiful and scenic place to unwind.
Beautiful place to walk around and see a truly historic town
Great place!
One small beautiful old town that is worth to see
Small waterfront town where you would find the true beauty of maritimes. Great food and dessert as well
A small town with beautiful scenic views and nice souvenir shops.
Instagramers’ Paradise. Every home is colourful. Summers are just more decorative due to lovely flower baskets in varendahs and streets. Streets look colourful and rustic.
So pretty and colourful! Lots to see.
Favourite place in Nova Scotia. Love to sit on the pier and watch life go by
Quaint little village very picturesque. Check out the Fish Shack for lobster roll...good prices.
One of the prettiest towns you'll ever visit
Awesome.
Two words..."The best"
Cool area
Bedutiful town. Don't forget to check out a piece of thr Berlin wall
Beautiful place to visit!
Clean, friendly, pretty town.
Perfect place to spend a warm Sunday afternoon in July!! ????
How beautiful is it in Lunenburg. Enjoy the stores restaurants and the harbor.
We did not go into this place. Butt we had fun looking at the outdoor stuff.
If you make it to Nova Scotia you have to see the Blue Nose II. Lunenburg is beautiful.
Fun and funky, colourful shops line several streets with artisan crafts, locally made treats and even a distillery. The Fisheries Museum is worth some time as is simply strolling about town. If you like fibres don't miss The Mariner's Daughter!
Surberb place to visit. Much to see. Very picturesque town. Take a tour it's worth it.
Beautiful town with a lot of history. Lots to see and do down at the waterfront.
Nice village for a half-day exploration, beautiful for the eyes, but a bit over-hyped in my opinion, don't expect to meet a lot of locals, as the main streets close to the waterfront seem to be mostly aimed at and populated by tourists. The little cemetery with its old gravestones and the distillery with its free (and delicious) tastings are nice slightly offbeat attractions. ????
Funky, interesting waterfront, with working port.
I always enjoy being here. One of the friendliest places on the east coast. Great restaurants and awesome citizens.
Good place to relax have a meal and see culture.
Mit really one of my favorite spots in Nova Scotia....too much addicted to tourism. There are other similiar towns with much more flair
Extremely picturesque site with interesting architecture and shopping. It's a UNESCO world Heritage site. Not much going on in the winter so visiting in the summer is better due to the weather. There are a number of cafes and pubs. Plan to spend several hours if not staying overnight. You can get there from Halifax on a day trip.
Nice place for a walk. Wish more stores stayed open later. Free WIFI, clean, family friendly.
Nice place to visit for a few hours to shop and eat. If you can use the local tour guide she was very good and the tour was no longer than an hour.
Was a beautiful day for a walk about...
This harbor on the south side of the Atlantic Ocean offers many opportunities for deepwater fishing and boat tours from several operators. The Atlantic Museum, situated right on the harbor displays many artifacts from Maritime life of old! …
If you go to Nova Scotia you must visit this town. Eat drink and be merry.
Definitely a great afternoon of shopping and dining.
Picture perfect town. Weather was great. Good place to walk and have lunch.
Beautiful views, very colorful town. Lots of restaurants that offer fresh seafood.
Amazing views and nice little shops!
Was a great place to visit. Would gi back again
Awesome community, beautiful place, friendly atmosphere!
The food at the restaurant was Great , if I didn't drive almost 2 hours to get there I would have turned around and went back home . Parking is terrible , we were 1 hour and 10 minutes and it was $10.00 for parking , if you wanted to go on the boats to look at them , you were told to pay at the museum first , another $13.00 per adult . This place is a Tourist TRAP ( a money grab ) . I live in Nova Scotia and will NEVER tell anybody to go there ,But Only To Clear Of There.
Beautiful and interesting town. Lovely shops and harbour. Fishing museum, bookshops and coffee shops(No 9) all good
Come see all the local attractions and eat sea food :) Lots of neat things to look at including the tall ships being moored. Many cool shops and restaurants. When i was there visiting the replica of The Bluenose I was moored. What a sight to see in real life. You could also board a tall ship. I think it was a museum.
Very pretty a must visit
Nice place to walk around with good restaurants and shops nearby.
I loved seeing the historic homes and even the cemetery. Beautiful churches.
It's beautiful and definitely worth the trip but the tour buses full of seniors was irritating.
Beautiful fishing village. Such colourful homes and historic buildings.
Such a Beautiful peaceful area to visit only wish that they had some public washrooms open
It is amazing very very beautiful
Beautiful town
Quaint coastal town in Nova Scotia that is the home of the Bluenose II when it isn't docked in Halifax
This is a beautiful stop. On a lucky day, you'll find the Bluenose11 in port, possibly open for tours or we even doing sailing tours. The whole town is historic and ready for tourists. To here is a museum too.
Was the for the xmas lighting of the lobster trap tree. The kids got to ride on a train. It was magical
Great city with a cute harbor and friendly people
There was only a few restaurants opened and line ups to get in during the week. So we left.
Washrooms are kind of out of the way could be closer but it's okay very beautiful
A beautiful town and waterfront.
I come to Lunenburg often to paint or just for a day trip away from Halifax. It's a beautiful town full of history and local flavour. During the summer it's bustling of tourists and locals looking to take in atmosphere, history or just good food and drink.
Fabulous place to visit with the best restaurants!!
Nice and clean, surprisingly active at this time of year. Plenty of restaurants close by, and no sign of Tim's or McDonald's!
Obviously end of season - things closed and what is open was not very welcoming.
Beautiful setting especially when the Bluenose is home.
Cool buildings, great places to eat, great views of the sea.
Beautiful lots to see and do.
Quite a few places to eat and shop The parking lot takes away from the charm of the area too bad it is not put to better use.
Beautiful place, great scenery, colorful housing.
Beautiful sunset????
Must visit place... heaven on Earth!
Nice to walk and see maritime related things.
Great historical place to visit. Always recommended for your trip to Nova Scotia.
Beautiful ... Fantastic spot to visit
So full of history and beautiful sites
Great picturesque view can be seen from the dock or from one of the ship tours.
It was a nice place to visit with my Halifax friends on Oct 31st, 2018. We took a scenic drive all the way there from Halifax via Peggy's Cove & some small villages. Unfortunately it was dusk when we arrived so didn't get to see as much as we wanted & the Bluenose was not there. But it was still nice to walk around & see the multicoloured houses & shops. We went for dinner at the Salt Shaket Deli, then an evening stroll through town despite it being Halloween. We didn't feel unsafe in any way.
Fish shack, fish and chips are excellent
This is a beautiful town and picturesque waterfront. The only downfall is that it is an obvious tourist trap. Theres many an art gallery, and at least one place to eat on every block. Theres a maritime museum, horse carriage rides, and a distillery. Many many things to look at but not much to do. Thats not to say it's not worth the visit. It moat certainly is. I would go again in a heartbeat. Dont expect excitement and thrills. Its just not that kind of place.
Pretty waterfront but not a lot going on here.
This place is so beautiful and picturesque. I want to come back and stay here for a few days.
Great boat parade with fantastic fireworks for the Annual Seafest.
Just beautiful. Did the carriage tour. Our guide was very informative. You get the history sites in detail plus the plans of the town to keep it looking as the past and keeping the historical setting alive. The museum is great and for young tourist they have interactive areas. Would come again
A must see when in Nova Scotia, the carriage ride is well worth the cost, which a picturesque place.
Pretty, well preserved town with interesting shops to browse and entry for history buffs.
Bluenose 2 was in port...... beautiful sail drive vessel

Interesting maritime history and fascinating colourful architecture.
Excellent place to bring people from away.
Beautiful surroundings, so much to see! Lots of shops. Colourful, clean, and by the sea. Couldn't ask for more.
I love the beautiful old houses and shops in the town site. Bring your camera. Very scenic spot.
A historic community that possesses the feel of a storybook. Parking on the water front for $4 hourly, or side street parking with meters. It is a quaint little town with its colorful buildings, a great spot to spend a sunny day walking through the town and learning about the area's history!
Most beautiful plàce on east coast. Excellent food, accommodations and waterfront. Horse carriage rides, whaĺe watching, ghost tours and home of the blue nose tall ship. Something for everyone.
Very clean and colorful
Not particularly wheelchair accessible but beautiful nonetheless.
Sure an amazing place. Not great for folks in wheelchairs but colourful.
Awesome little village and shops. Walk along harbour.

First time there loved it wish the shops were opened but definitely go back again so beautiful
A must see!!! Watch out for the crowds in the summer.
LOVE LUNENBERG. Had a picnic. It was great. Then drove to blue Rocks
Gorgeous picturesque Atlantic water front with awesome restaurants, boat tours and the home of the blue nose II. There are a myriad of cool shops to check out as well as whale watching and fishing, depending on what time of year you arrive!
Incredible how nice the town is and waterfront, not to mention seeing the Blue Nose 2
Beautiful scenery, quaint shops and delicious food.
Great walks, shops, food and home of the bluenose
Friendly folks, colourful beautiful town and best of all we got to ride the Bluenose.
If you love folk art pictures of scenes this is the place to see. The views are idyllic and quaint. Many artisan shops too. Lots of history. I visit it every time I visit the Maritimes!
It is beautiful, with the colorful buildings, but it is small with a limited cluster of buildings. You can get some good sea food (even Subway there has a lobster sandwich), but a little over-hyped by people.
Loved this town take time to walk around great shops and beautiful old buildings.
Great place to spend the day or week!!!
The waterfront is a beautiful place. It is well worth a visit, we walked up and down the promenade and side streets. The restaurants were good, had several portions of battered fish. Some places are better than others, but the fish was all fresh and tasty. The beer, on a deck and in the sun was very enjoyable. We went on one of the fishing trips, and I caught a massive cod. All in all a great trip.
This a must visit place if you are near Halifax. Very nice town. Do not miss the view of the water front across the bay.
Cool place to visit when in Halifax area.
Very welcoming lots to see endless restaurants.
Very nice town for sure. Just expect a crowd.
Beautiful scenery. Lovely people.what a relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing site for relaxing, nice colourful houses and old shops. UNESCO WORLS HERITAGE SITE. GREAT EXPERIENCE, CHURCH IN THE TOWN IS BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful but typical of a tourist town
A fabulous afternoon hanging out along the Lunenburg waterfront. WHOO-rah!
Beautiful waterfront. Regular home of the Bluenose II.

Shop on the Corner is a very quaint syore with excellent staff and service. Relaxing and entertaining
Beautiful area, nice shops, yet horrendous parking.
I couldn't believe how much my grandchildren enjoyed the fisheries museum. It's a great hands-on experience. We also enjoyed the horse drawn carriage tour.
Beautiful waterfront and nice town to stroll through
Picturesque to say the least, just needed a sunny day...
Beautiful historic town. Great to be able to see the houses where my family lived when they first came to Canada.
Was in town for Boxwood Festival. Historic town with great shops and views of the harbor. Stayed at Dockside Inn. Lots of places to visit nearby. Boxwood Festival was fantastic! Will return!
Ymmv, for a waterfront in a town like this it's about as good as one could expect
Busy but great time good food
Majestic, History, Clam and Relaxing. Visited twice always enjoyed the area
Nice but hard to find a parking spot.
Cute spot. Stores were great to walk in and out of.
Good small independent smoke house there. Forgot the name but it's the only one.
Nice area to visit! Will be back to explore more.
Beautiful and serene place with great people around. Carries a lot of history which will floor you with surprises
Quaint, vibrant, cutting edge, fishing village on the South shore of Nova Scotia. Unique shops, educational maritime museum, great sea food and down-to-earth, uniquely friendly people. Great place to spend the day.
Village very, very busy!!!!! No parking available. Many stores not open ???????? We walked and walked the streets and the waterfront. Finally found a place to have a nibble and service was a wow! right at the waterfront. "The old fish factory." We had a fish dinner that was the best! ????????!!! Made our day!! Thanks Lunenberg ????
