Amazing!!! You will not find a more knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated curator (anywhere) and the "story" of local railroading is told through the use of actual rail artifacts, photos and an incredibly detailed (and huge!) S gauge model railroad!! If I lived closer, I would be a volunteer here!

Almost drove by it, saw the sign and stopped in. Wow! The place is chalked full of memorabilia and it is just fantastic. The model railroad is brilliantly done and the staff is wonderful. If your in the area this is a great place to go.

This museum is a labour of love of one man and a team of volunteers who help him. Make sure to arrive just before the museum opens at 10AM to get a thrill as the train whistle is blown. The detail in the models is incredible and the fun addition of cartoon characters to find is great.

Great place for anyone who loves trains! My 6 year olds head almost exploded he was so beside himself. I appreciated the detail on preserving the old railway setups in the towns to scale based off pictures. Well worth the money and 1 to 2 hours of your time.

Loved it. We almost drove past it and gave it a shot. You can tell there's a lot of love and effort put into the experience right from the start. The interconnecting model is fantastic and the experience in transitioning from the day to night and back in the model was great. It was my son's highlight of our Nova Scotia trip. My daughter loved it as well.

The thought and detail put into this place is simply outstanding! A great place for kids and adult train enthusiasts to experience model trains while stepping back in time. The owner is extremely knowledgable and gives you a real experience, like giving you a real ticket, stamped and everything. They even had a mini gift shop at the end with train conductor hats and model train cars. Our kids had a blast and we will absolutely be back!

Excellent private railway Museum, the proprietor is very enthusiastic about the preservation of one of the hidden histories in Nova Scotia's industrial past. The recreation of the railway with models is pretty cool and the kids loved trying to find the hidden characters in the woods, and following the trains around.

Great small museum. Kids enjoyed the model railroad and playing a scavenger hunt. The two individuals showing us around we very personable and good with the kids. Definitely worth a stop to keep the history of the old railroad alive.

NOTE: This is a MODEL railway museum. We took the kids expecting trains and an interactive experience. But paying money to watch someone else play with their toy collection was not a family friendly activity for us.

I absolutely loved this place, the couple in charge have really put a lot of time and love into this museum and it shows. Be sure to bring cash for admission! They've got model railways of southwestern ns, and so many artifacts of the railway operations that operated in southwestern ns. My personal favorite is his "Great Wall of China" his display of the different fine China from the old passenger trains! Love it here

Great local railway history where Duane (the proprietor) provides lots of added entertainment value. The location provides HO model train enthusiasts with a local source of HO scale supplies. No need to drive all the way to the "big city" for rolling stock, locomotives and track supplies from Athern, Atlas and Rapido products!

Neet little museum. A great model train that is exact replica of the days of old of the South Shore. Owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great with the kids. Lots of cool train artifacts to see also. I highly recommend! Our family loved it.

Five stars not enough. The years upon years of making every thing. This Saturday all museums and local events are free. An original 1900 century engine at 10 a.m. off. Not on Sundays.Enjoy and bring the kids

A labour of love and dedication from a team of hardworking individuals who want to accurately preserve history. It's a very cool little museum with lots of models and artifacts but you also get a whole experience of boarding the train as well. It's worth a stop if you have the time. Duane is so passionate and interesting to talk to.

This is a lovely little spot. We brought our ASD child and the staff were so incredibly patient and understanding, making sure he wouldn't be upset with their presentations and the changes in the lighting or noise. We will certainly be coming back! This is a cash only establishment, so make sure you come prepared.
