A wonderful little hike. A great path through the woods. I don’t think it is often used as there is so much moss on the path, and then you get to this wonderful, boulder and rock covered beach. Then the real treat - a couple of seals just off shore.

A nice trail though the woods to the shores of the Atlantic. It's narrow and definitely not a walk in the park, but can be completed in about an hour. Not handicap accessible, the trail can be a little steep and slippery for short stretches. We enjoyed the walk itself, and the view from the coastline is awesome.

This was a great little walk. Not sure the distance as it wasn’t marked, but it took us under an hour to do with a 6 year old being the youngest. It starts with a wooded section then opens to a trail along the edge of the ocean. We saw a pitcher plant along the wooded section and some crowberries along the ocean section. The air was so refreshing along the ocean. I wouldn’t recommend doing this trail after a heavy rainfall as some sections were wetter than others.

Beautiful walk amazing views.

Awesome hike, I went today on a dry day, it could be very wet some days like Erica said. Few parking spots off of Kennington Cove Road, marked with a sign "Simon's Point". Starts with half a kilometre of a woods trail (few fallen trees on the way) to eventually cross a nice brook. Then the beautiful ocean view opens up. Then, from the brook you can hike ~2km North-East following the shore to where eventually a point juts out a couple hundred meters from the shore. This gives an awesome view of the lighthouse, water tower, parts of the fortress, and the Bateston windmill which is about 15 km away. I guess this is where they call "Simon's Point" but i could be wrong. *The shore hike is not a well established trail, there are signs of an old footpath in some areas along the way. The rocky shores can be sketchy, dont trip and hurt yourself.
