First time to the sugar bowl with the kids! Great time definetly speedy if you have a good sled. Not like the small Hills back east as a child. As a parent dunno if I'm the only one but heart definitely went to my throat a couple times! Overall awesome place totally coming back!

It's beautiful and the grass is soft & lush. My 4 yr old neice had a wonderful time & can't wait to go back to toboggan in the winter. She loved the tunnel under Scenic Dr. I don't think she believed me that we were that close to the coulees, and she was absolutely ecstatic that we could go walk in the coulees. I had to drag her back and she had so much fun we didn't even have time to play in the playground - who would have thought that would be possible?!

Great place to go tobogganing in the winter, and during the summer it leads to some nice trails in the coulees. The park also includes a new playground which is decent. There is also a pokestop / gym at one of the benches.

The Sugar Bowl is a well-known small park in Lethbridge because of its geography and location. This park gently dips toward the river valley and has great little hills to roll down in the summer and sled down in the winter. It can be a busy spot in the winter! The park is located just East of Scenic drive along a pathway and park system that stretches to the Oldman River to the East, and to Mayor Magrath Drive (then on to South Parkside Drive and Henderson Lake) to the East. It is connects to the Scenic Drive multi-use pathway along Scenic Drive with a convenient tunnel under Scenic Drive to access the river valley trails and Scenic Drive pathway. There is a paved path that follows along the bottom of the park, and a cement walkway along the North rim. Parking is available along the street on both sides of the park, but is limited to on-street parking. There is a fitness-oriented playground on the NE end of the park, suitable for all ages. There are also fruit trees and berry shrubs near the playground.

Cool spot for kids to safely toboggan and sled. If you got younger kids or grandkids take them here when there's fresh snow. Let the kids play while you relax in a lawn chair with a blanket and thermos of coffee or hot chocolate.

The sugar bowl is a great day of family fun, however it is always so busy! Most people are decent about sharing space on the hill, but the parking is a nightmare!
