My favorite Viognier in the valley and had a superb charcuterie tray for lunch. Was made to feel very welcome by the owners and joined in a little impromptu tasting of a new Baccus they were getting ready to bottle. Very nice. I promptly bought a bottle. As a fellow winery owner I appreciate visiting well run establishments. I will go again. Caroline, Ripples Winery
The setting here is beautiful....but this is where it ended for me . I think they have done alot right here but the service was horrendous . The server was run off of her feet and there were comments from other people waiting to be served as well . They need more staff when its busy so you dont wait 15 min to get a glass of water ...then another 10 to get a glass of wine . We all have different tastes in wine and this isnt somewhere I would return but the view...amazing.
Went with friends and we were able to be seated together and well enough away from other guests. Wine tasting was a good experience and the wines were quite a suprise. The Bacchus was my choice but all the ones we tasted were excellent. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend their 4 course set menu. The quality of the food and presentation exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Everything was great. Food was excellent, the ambiance was great, the server was good, and really no wait at 12:30 to 1:00 in the afternoon. The wine is first class. There would be a 5th star, but they sat our party of 4 at a table really meant for 2. Crowded and uncomfortable with charcuterie platter and flights of wine, and fish tacos.
Beautiful setting. Saw a bald eagle on her nest while wine tasting. Excellent wines. The tasting samples and charcuterie platter were generous in size and delicious. The owner Ingrid was knowledgeable, warm and couldnt have made my 2 sisters in law and myself feel more welcome.
Excellent service.
Great wine and incredible food! Just north of the U.S. border, Glass House is worth a visit whether gathering with friends, celebrating, or just enjoying a casual glass of wine.
Tonight we enjoyed the Dine Out Vancouver menu and wine pairings. The food was delicious and the pairings were perfect. The only thing that we didn't love is how far our wine came before our courses. Next time I would probably order a flight with the 3 pairings plus something to sip on while waiting for my entree.
Over serves some customers.
Great winery, tasting was fantastic and food was very good. The staff were exceptional.
Enjoyed a flight a wine on their covered patio area last weekend and had a great time here. Staff were friendly and the wine was great. We’ll be back!
Over the top service, helpful staff with excellent recommendations
Great service! Lovley wines. Delicious charcuterie board. Highly reccomend. It's a little busy though but that's okay!
As people have stated before me, unless the establishment improves the quality of the food that leaves the kitchen, go there for the wine tasting and the ambience. Felt actually more like an Earl's or Cactus Club than a winery. The halibut was overdone and chewy, the wild mushroom flatbread ice cold, the crab dip chunky and meh. This was a bit of a disappointment as we went there for a special occasion dinner. The two stars are for the food as our server deserves 5 stars. She was very attentive even so she was very busy. Probably won't be back unless we hear the food has improved to accompany the wines.
Very nice winery! Great option to sit outside by the Vinyard and have a picnic if the room is at full capacity. And they provide blankets. Great stuff!
They have a beautiful tasting room and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! They know alot about the wine they serve too which adds to the experience! Highly recommended if you're in the area.. add it to your wine tour!
We wanted to come to glass house for the set menu on Saturday, and arrived at 640, because the menu said it was available between 5-8pm. We were told the wait was 45-60min, which was fine, but noticed a few people seated ahead of us after we were told we were next (already waited an hour). We were finally seated at 750, and asked about the set menu, apparently it ends at 730pm, and we had to settle for a mediocre charcuterie and fish tacos instead, on the freezing cold patio. On top of all of this, the hostess was very cold and not at all welcoming. Contrasted to the server who was very friendly and inviting. On the plus side, the wine was good.
Waited over an hour outside when we were quoted 30 min in the freezing cold and when we finally got a seat indoors we were told they seated us wrong and that table was for another party. Gave us the option of waiting another hour for a table inside or sitting outside where it was very cold even with their heaters. Not impressed with their service. ***update: when I reached out to management as asked here they offered me a free wine tasting which is free in most wineries I go to anyway. Not the best conflict resolution..
Bought a case. Lovely light whites.
Wine and food ok, didn't like plastic wine glasses and plastic cutlery. Didnt mind to have to sit away from restaurant but felt forgotten. No service to speak of, even so there was no price difference.
Great food, great wine, great entertainment (thanks Clay!) We will definitely be back soon!
We were there a couple weeks ago showing a good friend that was visiting around the wineries in the area. It was our first time at Glass House , and I don't think we will ever be back nor will be recommending anyone go there. The hostess in the main area were not competent enough to respond our simple questions in a professional manner. As well the girl who was Under the Tent outside hosting the picnic area seemed visibly stressed( obviously not her fault because might have been understaffed) but her tone of voice was not pleasant at all, actually quite combative. She had no tact whatsoever. We had not even eaten or ordered anything yet and we honestly did not even want to be there anymore. I really wish there could be something that would bring us back to this location, but even now after reading other reviews on Google I am justified in my review as well. We really hope that Glass House Winery improves on their service because it's not worth losing customers and having many bad reviews for a place that has a lot of potential.
Great place with a beautiful view????
I recently had the privilege of a tasting with the staff and owners of this beautiful winery. I honestly did not find a wine that was not superb! I have an advanced certificate... Wset III so I have some knowledge of good wine when I taste it..But I was so impressed with the hospitality and knowledge from the staff. Margit was so gracious and friendly. As the former Assistant Manager of a large winery in the Okanagan,I will say job well done! If you are out tasting in this area..STOP here. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Ingrid and Arthur
Great wine, friendly staff, cool shop, wonderful area for parties including an outdoor patio and garden. We came here for a stagette and it was the best time! They have great tapas, and each bottle comes with a cool recorking top (they don't have corks at all!)
Love love loved my experience here! It was a little bit of a wait to get a table, that being said though the outside facilities and pond area are wonderful to take a stroll around while waiting! The charcuterie board I had was phenomenal!! The staff was super attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly! The wine tasting was really awesome, the flight of wine tailored and chosen by you. I enjoyed each of the wines, besides the wine that had flavour of bell pepper in it, that was a little too much for me ???????? I 100% recommend this winery! Also they sometimes have live music on the weekends which is divine!!
Lovley Experiance, exceptional wine
Glass House was awesome. We went in for a wine tasting to purchase a few bottles for my clients and I couldn’t have been happier with the quality and selection. The lady who helped with the wine tasting was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the entire experience. I’ll be back!
An awesome experience ! First impressions? Very very pleased. My wife and I enjoyed a charcuterie board and a bottle of their Alludo rosé on a picnic table in the sunshine. We did a wine tasting prior to our lunch and enjoyed a wide selection of whites , pinks , and reds. All staff were friendly and informative .
Winery was not welcoming and wine tasteing was over priced for what you got to sample
Wining and dining as I write this. Place is beautiful, food is great (but expensive) their wines are very tasty. The guitar guy playing along. The only downer is them letting a group of seven (7) noisy women in this Covid times turn the winery into a pub. Staff are very nice.
Glass house winery is an amazing hidden gem! We recently had the opportunity to gather a few close friends and family for a birthday celebration here. The winery itself is beautiful and the wines taste amazing! Ingrid was such a lovely host and has an abundance of knowledge when it comes to wines. Thank you Glass House Estate Winery!
Beautiful space. I imagine the weddings here are absolutely stunning. Love their Rose
Really nice spot!
Food was delicious and a simple menu. Wine was great and service was excellent and welcoming.
What a wonderful place. We loved the owner from Holland and her stories and all the wonderful wines. Beautiful winery.
Horrible service, server didn't know how to split the bill, never checked on us, our drinks arrived 15 min after we finished our meals. Finally when I waived a hostess down to send someone over so I could order an other drink she told me that they did last call already and they were closing now, yet no one came over to let us know about last call. I was very excited to come here for the first time today but unfortunately this experience was ridiculous. waste of money. If I could rate this experience no stars I would.
Beautiful winery, decent area to sit outside and drink some wine but the tasting bar area can get very noisy with only a few people. Wines were good but not exceptional. Service could be improved during busy times.
Beautiful settings, very personable and knowledgeable owners, exquisite wines, especially the Bacchus and Austellus
Always love to come here. The Environment, food, wine and service are all exemplary. Ample parking space. Heated outdoor patio, indoor seating, open garden seating and part hall. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are high. Wines are exclusive.
Absolutely amazing wine. ❤️
Great wine. Get some! Arthur and the gang are excellent.
We have visited several times and each visit has been an outstanding experience. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Every event I've attended has been a pleasure - I can't speak highly enough about this winery. From their delicious wines to their amazing facility, it is high quality all the way!
Made it clear we were looking to taste wines that we could purchase. We were on a private wine tour with a driver and were cut off at 5 tastings. When we chose 2 to purchase.... She turned around and came back to say the Pinot wasn't actually available. Not impressed. Not worth the price point.
Service, Wines and scenery were great. But menu for brunch session were limited especially when we intend to pairing with wines. My choice of wines: Madeleine angevine, Misceo, NV Viognier and Dulcedo
My friend and I previously had a unpleasant experience here so I had left a poor review. After sharing what had happen with guest relations, they were eager to help us have a better experience. We decided to go back and the staff this time were super friendly and food+ wine was great. I'm really glad we gave it another chance will now definitely be going back as they are very receptive to feed back from customers.
Didn't know about this winery, came there by accident, but am so happy I did. Excellent service, knowledgeable stuff, good selection of wines, very spacious restaurant, beautiful property. Next time will try to stay for brunch.
A lovely location and concept - sadly it's poorly supported and out of their depth to deliver a quality experience. …
The setting is great, especially the picnic tables set way back from the winery. Aim for a table there, rather than the porch attached to the restaurant. Wine was good. Tried the Charcuterie board which had a lovely presentation, but was a little light on substance (only 2 meats & two small cheese triangles). Despite this, looking forward to trying the food menu next time.
Nice ambiance, great service and music. Food was ok.
Perfect venue for ladies who lunch! Enjoyed a midday break from our home offices to share a bottle of rosé and fabulous share plates. Our server Jenna was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. Diana hosted us at the bar for a wine tasting. She presented the wines well and has a lovely demeanour. (Only 4 stars since mant of their wines were sold out and unable to be sampled). Glass House is one of the few Fraser Valley wineries that grow all their own grapes (for their whites) hence the "estate" classification. Looking forward to coming back to enjoy their live music one weekend. ....and took home the iconic glass cork to reuse at home.
Pros: Nice setting and a few good wines. In particular I really enjoyed the Cameo Rose. Cons: The Wines are incredibly over priced as well as the wine tastings. The young lady running the wine tasting wasn't very welcoming or friendly compared to the other reps from the adjacent wineries in the region. I would not go back.
Great place. Good wine, good food and nice people. Also a beautiful patio.
Great place to bike to and have a picnic. Bring a real glass of you are getting a bottle to drink out in picnic area. They will only give you plastic glass.
Beautiful establishment. Lovely staff and delicious wine. The whites are superb. Definitely one of the top wineries in the lower mainland.
Not Dog Friendly. I have been going to the glass house for years and never had a problem bringing my dog out to the picnic tables on the grass. All of a sudden they are enforcing No Dog Allowed policy. So I won’t go back and went to Backyard Vineyards just around the corner and had no issues with my dog.
We recently visited the tasting room for a bachelorette party and would never go back. Despite a few of us emailing and also leaving a voicemail to give the winery a heads up that we would be coming with a large group no one ever got back to us. When we arrived, a member of our party went in ahead of us and was asked questions like "do you ladies have a driver?" and "are you sure you haven't already had enough?" We did in fact have 2 designated drivers, we were not acting disorderly, and we hadn't even stepped foot in the tasting room, so while these questions may have been well intended, the manner in which they were delivered was judgemental and disrespectful. The service was also terrible. Our group sat down at one of the large tables and was never acknowledged by staff until I got up to go speak to someone. The tasting fee was $10 (the most expensive tasting fee out of all the wineries we visited) and we were told we would be trying 2 whites and 2 reds, after tasting 3 white wines and experiencing slow service, we went outside to take pictures with Elvis. At that point nobody was impressed with the service and we decided to leave. A member or our party went back into pay and was charged the $10 fee (per person) despite not having tried all the wines. After coming from an amazing lunch and tasting at Chaberton, this winery and the staff were extremely disappointing. I will definitely not be going back and would not recommend coming here with a group.
A lovely, local winery that is close to the city. The outdoor picnic area and patio seating are both great spots to enjoy some wine. Their gewurztraminer wine is smooth and not too sweet. So good, I bought a bottle to take home! The food is okay and could be improved. I would go here more for the wine tasting and atmosphere.
Wow. Great looking place, inside and out. Lot’s of parking. Good wine, good snacks, good people here.
Bit of a wait for wine tasting but good.
Everytime we drop by, this place gets busier and busier. Very active today and the banquet hall, at the back, shows it's wedding venue potential. Even the yard with the bridge, screams, wedding pictures. Today we purchased a case of wine, plus, plus and great place, Thanks .....
If you want to experience a slice of old world Dutch charm and hospitality, visit the comfortable & unique Glass House Estate Winery. You'll be treated like a blended old & new friend with enthusiasm & grace. It's my escape the rat race place for restored sanity, peace and friendship!
Came here for a tasting with a group of friends. The wine was excellent, the venue is beautiful, and our host Shawn provided an excellent tasting. She was very knowledgeable and I think we can all say that was our favourite stop of the day. Cant wait to come back in the summer!
Good food, good wine, great location
Classy and fun! It's a little expensive but you definitely pay for the experience. The staff are knowledgeable and create a fun environment.
We expected that the wine tasting experience during a pandemic has changed along with every other experience during this time. The Glass House has good measures in place to help protect patrons, their employees, as well as the venue. Our table of four waited for an hour to be seated. We received friendly and respectful service. The food was extremely delicious. To boot, there was a wedding onsite that we got to witness from afar. A beautiful experience overall. I especially liked their 2019 Madeleine Angevine, as well as their 2018 Cabernet Franc.
Very nice spot. The wine is great. They're definately over priced on food though. Quantity and quality food not align with dollars spent
Doesn’t look like a glass house... nice interior though. Nice outdoor seating area, okay personalities. Good wine.
I was very surprised during my visit here as it didn't live up to the hype. The location and ambience are beautiful, but the service left my friend and I disappointed. To start, our reservation time was not honoured and a couple with a later reso time was seated before us. We each ordered a flight of wine which neither of us enjoyed and didn't finish. We informed our server that we'd be ordering other beverages instead to which she replied "did you just order the wine for the pictures?". This was rude and uncalled for considering we didn't ask for reimbursement but actually ordered even more items. Overall we felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived, and the wine and food isn't worth another visit.
I went there for an art show and it was great. The restaurant was full in and out side.
The service was excellent. The foods are amazing. Love the soup, very fair pricing for the quality they provided.
Excellent food, wine, and service. Great space and environment too. I’ll definitely be back.
What a beautiful venue. Was just there for a celebration of life for a dear friend and was just in awe of how beautiful it was
A stunningly beautiful winery with a gorgeous tasting room and attached function "hall". The staff were friendly and the scenery amazing. Charcuterie plates available to pair with wine tastings.
We, a group of 5 women Motogirls, were out riding around enjoying the weather a scenery when we saw Glass House winery. We thought we'd go in a see what it was like. From the moment we walked into the place we were greeted by a lady that was very snobbish. 2 of us wanted to trying a tasting as 3 of us don't drink wine, so we asked if they had any beer, we were told no they don't have beer, so we asked if we could just have some ice water, then all of a sudden, they do have beer, it's just not on the menu. Then the 2 that wanted to try a tasting asked to split it between them both as we were riding and we didn't want a lot of alcohol, just a sample, the lady gave us the dirtiest look and went back to the counter. We sat there waiting when another lady came over to the table we were sitting at and said, if you are doing a sampling then you'll have to go to the bar, she as well wasn't very welcoming either. We decided that we were NOT going to spend our hard earned money at an establishment like this. Just because a group of women ride in on motorcycles, does not mean you treat them any different than any of those people that were there in cars. The sad thing about this is that our motorcycle group is 500+ women and that could have been a lot of business for this place, but now that they ALL know how these 5 group members were treated, none of the others will ever go there now. SAD...
Went for the thanksgiving special seatings. First time, and the place, service and food were all excellent. I don't think I've ever raved about soup in my life, but that bowl of candied squash magic was ridiculous.
After spending the day visiting wineries in the Fraser valley I have to say this is the worse. Most companies wave the tasting fee if you purchase a bottle which is not done here. Additionally the staff make customers feel inferior. The lack of customer service and disrespect is not okay.
Charming European vibe ????????
A fantastic place for wine tasting and food offerings. Lovely pastoral setting in South Langley definitely a destination in itself. Very knowledgeable staff and incredible wines. A very unique and worthwhile experience.
I've been to some really good wineries in the Okanagan but the service that I experienced here at Glass House was just so absolutely amazing!!!! Our server was probably like who let these nutters in here ( we were quite loud towards the end cus my cousin Cindy is so frickin hilarious!!!!) ( She's the one in the picture at the back with the shorter hair❤️) The charcuterie board was gobsmacking amazing, the wine flights were so very tasty and the pumpkin tart to finish it all off was just beyond anything I've ever eaten before!! And it was just added to the menu today I was told by the server. Such a pallet cleanser so tasty so delicious what a way to end a perfectly lovely day with my cousins and mother ???????????????????????????? highly recommend this place ????????
Thank you for the wonderful welcome for our first visit to Glass House. Despite a busy day, the wines were presented patiently and thoroughly.
Great Wine poor communication from the host said it would be around 30 Mins for a patio so we decided to wait. If I had known 45 mins later she would say no ETA and nobody is getting up anytime soon we would have sat inside however now those weren't available either so we just left.
Very nice tasting bar , great wine and people
Brought my mom for a birthday wine tasting. Service and knowledge of wines was phenomenol. Very reasonable and the atmosphere was beautiful. The charcuterie was delicious!! Thank you Glass house for the amazing experience.
I haven’t been to your wine store, but was given a bottle, and it was awful....very chalky and lots of sediment in the bottom....too bad as we like to support local businesses......like the glass stoppers though...Sharon
Beautiful place with great food and wine.
A rustic sort of place with delicious food. Make reservations. Well worth it.
We were 3 couples. The food came out so far apart that when one was finishing the other was starting. They literally have no idea of service yet choose to charge fine dining prices. Disgusting!!! Our waitress did not even know the wines. They need to up their game. Food was less than mediocre. If you like good food, knowledgeable service and pride in product you will get this review.
Beautiful local winery. Food was very tasty however there were fish bones in our fish taco. When we told the staff, they seemed dismissive and unpleasant. Handed us a $20 bill. Zero social distancing inside. People standing everywhere waiting to order food. Really hectic. Staff were very friendly until we had a complaint to make about the bones in our fish taco.
Beautiful winery and good wine. On the other hand the service wasn't up to par. I have been to many wineries, doing wine tours in both Langley and the Okanagan, and I have never experienced this slow or disrespect for our group. If you come as a small group 2-4 people it may have been a different experience but I do not reccomend this winery if you are doing a group tour.
This is a great winery. The food menu was limited, but good. The wine selection for the tasting flight covered a lot of variety (I did not order though). Our server was great with the service, readily available if we needed anything. My main issue was that today was an extremely hot and smokey, and the Glass House had absolutely no fans or any form of air circulation. Without any form of air circulation in the building, it made the experience less than ideal. When the weather's better, and not so hot, I'll give it another go, but without any form of air circulation in the building, I'd pass and wait.
What an amazing event at Glass House today! Amazingly generous winery - they hosted their second annual open house where they give everyone a complimentary glass of wine and amazing Dutch eats! Fantastic wine - super people! There is not a better winery in BC!
Great views at the winery in Greater Van area, we enjoyed the service, wine and their food pretty much
Will not come back. Wine tasting is too expensive, $10 a person for their average wines. Most places it is $5 . They only take $5 dollars off if u buy a bottle. JRG likes to rip people off!
Hi quality wine, knowledgeable staff, very pleasant visit. We visited three area wineries (all on internet must visit lists) and this was clearly the best of the bunch. We tasted 8 wines and all were interesting and well made. The Gewurtz actually had Gewurtz character. The woman who poured our tasting really knew her stuff - both specifics about the individual wines and about wines and wine making in general. FYI - there is also food available, although the website does not indicate that as of yet. We didn't try any so I can't comment on quality. If you are tasting in the area, this winery should be on your must visit list.
Went for Dine Out and the food and wine were excellent! Portions were super small, and we hit another place ok the way home for more food.
Great wine and ambience. Service is good. Been here for dinner and brunch and highly recommend it.
I came over from Vancouver Island for the day and it is a beautiful setting, delicious wine + live music. I was disappointed with the food. Overpriced for the small portions & unfortunately they were only offering their brunch menu, which made it a very limited selection of items. Then they were out of a few items that my table ordered, at 12:00 noon, so had to pick out something else to eat on the already limited menu. We went out for another meal on the drive home as we were still hungry. I would bring your own food + utilize the picnic area instead.
I took five clients there today for our first time. My group and I were very impressed. I met Margit and her Mother. I will definitely be bringing many more clients here for a great experience. I am a Chauffuer for Vancouver Wine Tours by SEG. Cheers.
We were completely disappointed with the experience at Glasshouse. While the tasting staff member was lovely, the fee for the tasting seems like the JRG is being cheap. Wine tastings are a cost of doing business in the wine industry so charging $10 pp for a tasting unless a bottle is purchased and then it's reduced to $5 - very quickly ensured we won't be back, let alone buy any of the wine.
Out of 5 vineyards in the immediate area this was the greatest let down with disconnected service and an arrogant undertone. Aside from it being like a private club, the wines were over-priced by comparison...unless this is to your taste and go-to spot.
I was disappointed with our visit to the Glass House. Wine and halibut mediocre at best. The goat cheese and tomato flatbread was the most enjoyable part of the visit. The worst part was the bathroom situation. 2 bathrooms for 100 plus guests and definitely not clean. How did this get passed by city inspectors???? We won't be going back...
Great team! Had a good time. Food was delightful, truly hidden gem.
Came here on the weekend to celebrate my sister's birthday an the experience was amazing from start to finish. We were welcomed with open arms by the staff and had some amazing wine and food. I highly recommend the Mezze Plate and all of the wines are top notch. This is definitely my new go-to winery in Langley.
Each and every time I visit Glass House. I never leave disappointed. The staff are always friendly!! Wines are delicious. Love the outdoor environment..patio..and when they have live music ..it is just that much better! Thank you for being my favorite local Winery!
My boyfriend and I made a reservation weeks in advance to visit. When we arrived there were a group of ladies in front of us waiting to be seated for their reservation. Their reservation was mixed up and they ended up waiting to be seated and had to be seated outside rather than inside. The hostess let us know that our reservation was also mixed up and we ended up waiting 40 minutes to be seated. The hostess explained that there were no managers on shift, (on a busy Saturday night.) No one apologized to us during this time or offered us a drink or anything. By the time we got seated we ordered wine and charcuterie. The wine was good but the charcuterie was just decent. We were very excited to try this winery out but sadly will not be back. It is just too poorly managed.
We always enjoy their wines however the food lacks creativity and taste...when we plan a night out with our friends we all eat first and then order something light.
Service was horrible and the wine is ok. Food was descent but having to pay for tasting after buying food and 2 bottles is a joke. I guess I should have listened to friends who warned me of this place.
We have visited The Glass House many times and can not say enough about how wonderful our experiences have been. The family and staff are so very, very welcoming and knowledgeable. We have learned so much and appreciate the time, care and love that goes into their wonderful wines. The Charcuterie platters offered compliment the beautiful wines so well and the warm and comfortable surroundings make for such an amazing place to meet and visit with family and friends. The winery is such a classy place that we love to go to and a definite addition to our itinerary whenever we have visitors
Really nice place. Nice outdoor area but owner had an issue in the last so not dog friendly.. considering the size of our dog and how big the outdoor area is i found that a bit ridiculous. My 2 cents is they should put that on the website very visibly so people travelling there for a bit don’t land with a surprise.
Spent afternoon sitting out back on picnic tables over looking vineyards & restaurant. Great service & selection of wines ! Nice touch as some out door games ie corn hole etc available.
Awesome food, awesome staff, awesome drink.
The Glass House is really worth a visit. They have delicious food and wine. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
staff is amazing! there is a male who works there and definitely enjoys his job, he knew so much about the wine, the cheese and was quick to help with anything. its a must see!
Excellent experience, had a great time, great food and great wine. Everyone was too notch.
No reservations taken, not a good idea during COVID. Arrived at 3pm, picnic area was closed. Was told the wait for the Tasting Bar was 45 minutes, a table 90 minutes. Our party of 2 put our name on the Tasting Bar list. Went back after 30 minutes to see how the line progressed, still 3 parties ahead of us. We watched as a party of 5 walked right in saying they wanted to buy a bottle and the staff at the Tasting Bar asked if they wanted to do a tasting and proceeded to serve them! The Hostesses seemed flustered and confused the entire time. A party that arrived 30 minutes after us were brought inside. When asking the Hostess why she said they requested a table. So then we requested a table if that was now quicker. We were going to be seated but then the other Hostess advised us that that table was being held for the party of 5 (that bypassed the line!) Our party of 2 was finally seated at 4:10. We're glad we went with the table option as we did the 5 flights for $17. But the cheese in the cheese board was quite bland and flavourless. If we were to go back it would be before 2pm or after 6pm.
I do not recommend this place. Extremely over priced compared to all the other wineries. We were charged $15 for wine tasting. When the bill came we were charged for food we did not get. The owner is very rude. The customer service is horrible. Chaberton and backyard vineyards are both amazing wineries and with great service. The price for sampling is much cheaper and worth it. Highly recommend them over Glass house.
We found the wine at Glass House to be better than most of the Lower Mainland wineries. We really liked the Rosè and the Madeleine. We also tried one of the flatbreads, which was very good. Many of the other reviews said the they experienced rude staff, but we found the staff be friendly and knowledgeable. We sat outside and drank a bottle (the Madeleine) while we enjoyed the flatbread and found it to be a very peaceful atmosphere.
Beautiful location, friendly staff, amazing wines.
Went to glass house this past Saturday with two friends to celebrate a birthday and the service was sub par. We got seated and then sat there for about 15 minutes before we had anyone come to greet us. A table that had been sat after us had gotten service before we did which we found to be quite interesting. We had the fish tacos and the mezze platter...the fish tacos were very under seasoned and bland tasting, the mezze platter was nothing special and actually a bit disappointing.. the smoked olives on the platter did not pair well with the other components. The chips were the highlight of both meals. The wine was good but it should be for that price.
Don't bother! We are a group of 10 seniors and drove together to do a Fraser Valley wine tour. We have each purchased at least 4 bottles of wine so far today. When we came into the Glass House, their main concern was 'how many are there?' When we said there a 10 of us, she said she would have to double the wine tasting fee from $5 to $10. We were flabbergasted and couldn't understand why....needless to say we left and found our way to another winery.
It's a beautiful winery with friendly staff .
This place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is out of this world and the people are even more amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for five star wine and service. It's the Napa Valley of Canada!
After reading some reviews i reluctantly agreed to go and check out the winery with some friends. Reviews were accurate, beautiful place, but ruined by terrible service by, wine tasting is overpriced. It was not a pleasant experience ... will NOT be returning.
Had the Spring Table d’hote menu. Outstanding meal and every wine pairing was delicious. Fabulous location for any occasion
I was there in June of this year, for Dine Out Vancouver. The food and wine pairings were nothing short of miraculous. Each plate was a work of art and delicious. After talking it up to all my friends, my daughter scheduled my surprise 70th, at the glass house, on August 19th. What a dissapointment the food was. Unimaginative plating, cutrate burgers and a chocolate mousse made somewhere, with slimy passion fruit on it. My crabdip had so much garlic, and it was devoid of any crab. I was embarrassed, because most of the people attending were experienced diners and I totally had talked it up. Something has changed for the worse.
Waited over an hour for a simple cheese plate...manager finally came over and offered nothing but for us to refund it...i said we are starving so we will take it (already paid for) I insisted for a complimentry glass of wine which was promised but never arrived...wines are mediocre quality at best there and management is very inexperienced...not a sustainable business model in a saturated market...oh well on to the next winery....
Lovely property with a nice outdoor patio and nice wines
High quality wine from a beautiful boutique winery
Had an absolute fantastic experience here. Owner was very generous, knowledgeable and kind. The ambiance and overall atmosphere to the place felt like a perfect getaway. Wine was excellent and very well priced. Hands down the best tasting experience I have had.
Awesome place...friendly staff and great wine.
We were a group of 7 younger adults who showed up for a tasting, the welcoming we got was unenthusiastic to say the least. We showed up being very responsible with a designated driver and a car large enough to fit everyone with a seat belt. Our driver was asked to leave the establishment because he brought food to the tasting room. This of course is a fair request, however we were told from staff that it was okay for him to eat his food at the tasting bar. We all promptly left the establishment as two staff members talked saying “they aren’t even drunk”. Above being treated like inferiors (probably be cause of our age) the prices on the wines and tastings were above average and pricier in comparison to all surrounding wineries. They staff seemed full of themselves and made us feel inferior to other patrons in the establishment.
Food wasn't hot, no decent reds and they round their bill +-0.05. In a primarily cashless society I would expect the bill to be exact and not rounded. Wonder how much extra they make each year by rounding? Wonder if they do this at their other restaurants? Service however in both winery and restaurant was excellent so nothing against the staff.
Loved the atmosphere with the live music, and service was good as we sat and had our wine und appetizers, but was absolutely STUNNED, that they allowed a table of 7 people next to us. As someone who makes sacrifices every single day to be cautions and limit my contacts, to see an establishment like yours ignore the rules set out by provincial health, I was absolutely appalled. Not only was this wrong legally, there was also a lady at the the table that was SEVERELY over served and not only fell off her chair once, but twice. Clearly here profit takes over peoples well being.
tried to come in for tasting, was told yes we would be allowed in momentarily, and then they promptly let a larger group in ahead of us that showed up 10 minutes later
My friend and I visited today and we're impressed. Owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Charcuterie board and many wine tastings exceeded our expectations. We both ended up buying a couple bottle which were priced within reason given that the wines are very exquisite. Highly recommend going with some gal pals to sip and snack outside on one of the picnic tables situated close to the vineyard.
Overpriced and overhyped. We ordered the charcuterie board for $33, and got 2 tiny blocks of cheese, and a few slices of meat, probably costing $5 in total. Just because you put it on a board, does't mean you can up the price!! We bought a bottle of wine for the table, and when we asked for it to be placed in ice, they brought out 1 plastic cup of ice. Definitely not worth it.
Came In with my gf and her two friends for our second stop on a wine tour. 2 hour wait for a table, left then came back to eat. As we ate we noticed people talking food out to the grass to eat. Would have been nice to know that was an option before waiting the 2 hours. Food came really fast. Service was good. Wine was nice. Would recommend but get a rezo.
Friendly and Knowledgeable staff made our tasting a fun experience
Great venue… highly recommended!
