Fast and friendly staff, well maintained facility with some clever puzzles.
Great staff a little goofy lol ,but anyone that likes my sense of humor gets 5 stars, Feb 16th 2019
The four of us had a good time but didn't escape the final room. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would do it again but i would look for a coupon or promo code.
Had a blast, but time goes so quickly!
Went with a group of 7. We did the scientist room. Managed to get to the 2nd room. It was good fun. However $25 for 45 mins of game time seems a bit pricy.
Nice people, but chilly, very confusing puzzles for easy room
Mixed opinions on this one. The room our group picked had no relevance to the description, and was a bit strange. However, even though the rooms didn’t make sense together, they were decorated pretty well, and the staff were very nice and …
The room themes are interesting and they keep track of completion times, which adds some competitive fun. The last room we did though, Laboratory Escape, looked a little low budget prop wise though.
We went here in April with a group of 6 people. The cost was exceptionally high for 45 minutes of entertainment. However, I have been to escape rooms before where the experience (although usually an hour) is still worth it. This one is not. Staff were completely uninterested in prepping us to go inside. They were not excited, not in character, didn't even want to explain the rules, it was like we were annoying them just by being there. When we went in the puzzles were very hard and completely unrelated to the overall "theme" and story laid out on the website. When we asked for clues the staff came in and completed the puzzle in front of us and then left. It totally takes you out of the moment. Several of the props were broken. The room dressings were very amature. Maybe because I work in the film industry I expect more, but I've seen way better props, wall murals and decoration that can be done on an insanely low budget. This was just lame. We left feeling robbed.
The staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The room we chose, Wild West, was well done with technical locks. I greatly appreciate the thematic puzzles rather than simply having a bunch of padlocks that need to be opened.
(Translated) Yaaas! (Original) Yaaas!
My first time ever playing escape rooms. I had unforgettable time here. The puzzles match exactly with the story of the theme and every clue leads further to the next puzzle. The staff was very helpful as well. I will come back for sure for their new Halloween theme. Well done E-Exit Langley.
The staff was really nice. The puzzles were fun, but it felt like there was not enough time to solve the puzzle. Other wise it was an amazing experience
If you’re looking to do a room escape go to Richmond and do a proper one. The E-Exit rooms are boring and uninspired, I do not recommend going at all.
Only real challenge is that the rooms are so dark that you can't see anything, even with the provided lanterns. Half the time is wasted just trying to make out what is even there ???? Once you have, then the puzzles themselves are pretty basic.
We had a great time last week at Exit Langley. The room we had was challenging and we did not escape. The staff was helpful when we asked for help. I would love to see the room we were in have a little maintenance done to the props as well as mark the box with the lock on it better. It was very hard to see the sticker that stated it was not part of the room. We are looking forward to coming back!
Had a great time!
Great fun
Loved it. Double date made great... and we solved the laboratory!
The codes for the doors were all broken and the lady had to unlock the doors. Fun but it's a bit pricey for 1 hour of entertainment.
It was fun but way to difficult. Had to use all our hints and 45 minutes is way too short. Wasn’t as good as we had hoped
Went here 1 time well maintained and all but a lot of the pressure point type clues didn’t work and one of the coded safes were broken and we didn’t get any added time or any refund. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and went back today and boy was it a let down. A lot of the clues are just terrible and have nothing to do with anything you’ve been given for information and another contraption that is supposed to drop a key pressure pointed item wasn’t working and we had it figured out right away so we sat there for about 15 minutes trying to figure it out until we called apon the staff. Turned out we had it figured out already the machine was just broken and the item was stuck inside. Beside the hole where it dropped out of it said do not reach in and claimed you could hurt yourself. The worker came in and showed us but he had to reach in and pull the item out to even have it work. No time was added and we were not offered any refund or nothing (we were 1 code away from completing) normally I have a three strikes your out rule but for this business I’m just not going to return. Don’t waste your time or money there are much better escape rooms out here.
I have been to many similar games, this location was very boring compared to others I have done... very disappointed.
Was great fun and I recommend everyone try it out at least once. The staff were really nice and helpful too.
We had lots of fun and I really wanna try again. Definitely something everyone should try once.
Pretty terrible experience both times I've tried out rooms at this location. I did the room "Temporal Pursuit-Chase Through Time" recently and only 3 lamps were given for the room so anyone other than the 3 people given lamps are left exploring the room in the dark. Multiple items are broken within each room entered (some same items still broken since my last visit 3 or so years back). There were a lot of "do not touch" signs on broken things that we were still supposed to utilize sometimes, so it was a bit confusing. The theme between the 3 doors of the escape room didn't connect and made no sense. I won't return to this location unfortunately - I feel like it was a waste of money.
Great place the staff was nice and patient with us/ also the Wild West room was interesting some of the challenges were tough and we used two hints on the middle room but we managed to make it through would suggest for any type of group
Great time and not too pricey. Great for team building.
Very cool themes with challenging puzzles to figure out. Was expecting bigger rooms but the experience was great anyway!
They have some decent puzzles in some of their rooms and some that are questionable and the group i was with would have never been able to solve it. The answer for the one also made no sense when the guy explained it. Would go again though to try the other rooms I havnt done yet
Too much money
This location has compares well to other E-Exits I've been to, and the themes here are very neat.
We were approx 30 seconds short of beating the room we choose. First escape room I've ever done, so not much of a comparison point, but the 45 minutes we were in just FLEW by. Couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience!
Pros: Everyone was given a light for the room (flashlights were easier to use and better in terms of visibility than the lanterns). There was a visible clock with a countdown. Cons: Would have preferred a walkie talkie as opposed to a wall mounted intercom, having to wait for a person to enter the room, provide clues and then leave. It broke the in game environment. Basic linear structure, puzzles were acceptable but not great, lack of diversity in puzzle design, dark environment made it hard to see, certain leaps in logic were not clearly supported by clues, only given 45 minutes. Other places give you 1 hr. Rooms felt bare and limited in terms of design and props. There were no clues to find around the room; nothing behind clocks, under things, hidden in prop shoes, clothing etc. (There were messages inscribed but no physical items) Feedback: It would be nice to have a few room options that are well lit. Where I am from in central Canada, (I worked as an escape room manager) the rooms that I visited are fully lit, easy to navigate and as a result have more intricate puzzles that focus on a problem solving as opposed to being able to see the puzzles (Lack of visibility can make puzzles seem harder and is a bit of a cop out if your puzzle game is not as well thought out). Poorly lit rooms also pose concerns for those with older eyesight, vision problems etc. Thereby, limiting who can play the escape games. There were no hidden clues among the props. The set up was very linear in nature meaning if you didn't open one lock you were often stuck at that part in the game. I much prefer the non-linear game plays where there are multiple puzzles all working at once and there are hidden objects and keys that need to be located around the room (otherwise the props are only there for ambiance and serve no functional purpose). A few of the puzzle instructions were unclear, or required assumptions that a player may or may not have made. I liked that your rooms had both lock and physical puzzles but it would be nice to see more diverse puzzles. Weight based puzzles, magnetic ones, jigsaw puzzles, riddles, slider puzzles, language puzzles. puzzles that involved moving sand, water, or rocks to fill vessels. etc. I would recommend viewing the sample rooms in the TV show ""Escape" which is visible on youtube for some great room examples that are well lit and diverse.
The prices are comparable to other escape rooms but still expensive for 45 minutes of entertainment. The difficulty was good. Staff was nice.
Had my aftergrad party here. There was a shooting across the street while we were there, which was fun. A group of 5 of us went into the Himalayan room, and it was quite difficult..... we didn't get anywhere. But it was fun. January 1st of 2018 I came with my girlfriend, and we did the wild west room. We got the first puzzle, but the rest were obscure, confusing and complex. The rooms are a bit too difficult. Escape rooms should be difficult but this is a bit of a new level. Still good memories attached but the place itself left some to be desired.
Eexit is usually fantastic, but this location was by far our least favourite. The Wild West escape room was fantastic, with a great theme and puzzles that were exciting to solve. Their other rooms were simply suitcases with combos, and we often need to get hints because the clues didn’t make sense or weren’t working or invisible to the eye, and they lacked any coherent themes or decorations that made sense. Staff were wonderful & friendly, and the rooms were clean.
The experience is great if you're with a group. However, I don't think Exit designs their rooms for you to "exit" the first session (which makes sense for business). It just taints the experience a bit. The other thing that bothered me was when we used our second hint-card. The employee came in seeming like he didn't have an idea of what we should do next and ended up making us waste the last 10 minutes. Pros: - the experience Cons: - Difficult/if not impossible for even well-versed puzzlers to complete in a single session (if that's your thing [it definitely is mine]). - poor room layout/employee interaction
Great puzzles and friendly staff.
Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday! It was a lot of fun, but we struggled. Definitely a place to go when you have a diverse group of friends who all problem solve in different ways. If you go in prepped like that, I’m sure you can get further than we can!
Wasted a lot of time due to one of the props not being set up correctly
An incredible experience. We were greeted by Arvina who is the most affable, kind and a fun lady. She indeed became a highlight of our day. The rooms were really fun. Thank you!
Hard and challenging. Cool and fun place.
Badly organised with low quality props that occasionally don't work. Given the quality of the other locations I would not recommend this one.
2 stars only because the staff lady is really nice. However locks and even some puzzles are not working! Lady has to come in and move pieces herself and open door for us!! Like, really?! Decorations are cheap and not natural. Don’t recommend and will not come back.
Really enjoyed this place. Only did one room but ot was great.
I would not recommend this escape room to those around the area. I have done many escape rooms with my partner and we found this room to be poorly done puzzle wise (very outside the box thinking, where the clues did not lead you to think about the solution to the problem) as well as prop wise (dollar store props). Furthermore the room itself did not work as the mechanisms within the room did not work properly (key pad door already open, lock boxes not opening even though the combination was correct, and certain effects did not work properly). The person working couldn't even get the mechanisms to work. We did get out of the room without even seeing the final puzzle which should not be the case! For 28 per person this was not worth the money and am very disappointed !
First two times were awesome but went on Monday and found that they lowered the discount for students which was our main reason for going on Mondays. Then the room was subpar, pretty bare, faulty keypads, lasers weren't working at all so we were told to "pretend" they were. Not really fun or worth the money.
It was fun... And we did it!
Had a lot of fun here. Rooms are sometimes just waaaay out there and no train of thought would solve it
It was so much fun! This was my first escape room experience. I was surprised that there was more than one room. Lol. I thought you would be stuck in one room the whole time. No. Your escape is through a sequence of rooms! I thought the puzzles were really different and interesting. And I liked working cooperatively. The room I did seemed pretty high-tech. There were some interesting ways of entering the solution to puzzles.
Mediocre for the price you pay. For $30 it's not worth it. We did the temporal escape theme and it was kind of all over the place. Nothing really exciting happened. The set and props are all fairly cheap. The puzzles weren't that intuitive. There are warning signs on props that kind of need to be used so it was confusing as we weren't sure if it was part of the puzzle. It's also only a 45 minute room! One of our locks weren't even locked in the second room. E exit Richmond is much more worth it compared to this location. Save your money.
We had a lot of fun here
Had a great time and the host was extremely pleasant. Bring your A game though, it’s not easy.
Failed to pass. Still fun tho.
It was so much fun! The staff was great and me and my friend had an awesome time!
Came here with a couple of buddies here a last month. Haven't heard of this place since then. It is a unique and sometimes challening puzzle game that I really enjoyed playing.
Arvina was very helpful when we decided to visit Exit Langley for our company team building event. The rooms were challenging and great fun! we had a great time!
Decent but clues are a little far fetched
Wonderful staff, challenging rooms.
Great time with our family. Staff are fun and enthusiastic we will be back. Thanks.
Neat room designs with fun puzzles!
An adventure for your special group!
Really fun rooms, well done escape room facility
Two stars because of the lovely staff. You get 45 min for a pricy 28 ish per person. We did the wild west. Some of the puzzles are very time consuming. You get allot of hints... if you ask for them. Considering you get 15 min less then all the other escape room company's, ask lots of hints as you get 3 to move on if you get stuck. Not worth the money considering you only get 45 min.
Excellent adventure, but the staff could have been more direct and accurate with the rules and instructions prior to entering. Overall the staff were amazing, they just forgot to mention one small bit of information. We will be back.
The key pads were faulty, which led to a frustrating experience. Felt cheated.
A fun time without any hassles or difficulties. Harder than you may think.
The Himalayan Cavern room that we did was very low budget, bad and lazy theming with a fairly incoherent plot and props that were totally out of place. Their system to mark their more expensive props (there weren't many and they couldn't have been that expensive...) that were just for decoration was to post a giant signs over them marked "NOT PART OF THE PUZZLE" which totally ruined any immersion we could hope for among these low quality Halloween surplus decorations. Puzzles were all over the place, some pretty good, some that might have been good if details like the introduction for another room being riddled with bad English and typos throwing us off the trail of intentional misspellings or props that were 100% out of place for the time period setting, and some puzzles so ridiculously convoluted I don't know how any sane person could have come up them outside of a fever dream. The game master did not watch and listen to us to keep up with where we were in the puzzles and instead of a proper hint system when we admitted we were stuck we would hit a button, they would physically come in and ask what we were working on and then nonchalantly spoil that entire puzzle for us. Oh, and when we booked this room the website mentioned nothing about spiders, but when we entered the lobby the poster for it had a giant spider, the closest this room had to a central plot point, and we brought an arachnophobe with us. Thankfully the decorations were so unrealistic they couldn't even trigger serious fear in someone with a phobia, but most of these places put out phobia warnings up front so people with serious problems don't have to cancel or run out halfway through the room. For whatever reason all the escape rooms we've done in much smaller suburban areas an hour drive outside Chicago and Milwaukee were much better quality so I would hesitate to return to Exit Langley or any of the Exit franchise next time we're visiting the Vancouver area.
We went and did a team event and chose Temporal Pursuit. First, we were never given the background of the room. I’ve done many other rooms and we always get the story behind the room. Second, the room and props were worn out. The lanterns weren’t very bright and the puzzles didn’t work properly. One of them in the second room took 10 minutes. When we called the girl in, she had a hard time too. The writing was hard to read, etc. It’s obvious the rooms aren’t kept up or updated regularly. All and all, I found it boring. The one in Surrey is much better, although I find them all expensive for 45 minutes.
Great way to challenge the brain
We went here for our year end gathering. Great evening and everyone had fun. Although we didn’t succeed the group all worked well together and enjoyed the experience. We can’t wait to go back again soon. Only downside was we were a group of 8 and booked two rooms after they let us know we could have done one room to keep everyone together. We weren’t sure which option would have been better , but would have been nice to know it ahead of time.
Six of us went there and tried the wild west game. It was boring and did not make sense. There was very little to go on as there were limited props and clues. The staff member that we had seemed uninterested in making it fun. We have been to a few different escape rooms and I had loved doing those games! The exit room only gave two clues which left us standing in a dark and very dusty room., just waiting for the game time to be over. Our experience in other escape/exit room companies was much better as they gave you three clues and the game was much more exciting and intriguing. I wouldn't go back to the langley exit room.
Temporal room: poorly kept room.. wasted time trying to figure out broken/faded props
Been to many escape rooms but I hated the room we tried. It was just padlock combo after padlock combo. Boring.
It's a typical escape room place. The rooms are put together well, but some of the moving bits are a bit temperamental and can cost valuable time
Great place. Nice and helpful staff.
Cheap props. Clues extremely vague. My grandson (17 yrs old) had already done it once, and still had to ask for staff hints once in each level in order for the 3 of us to get to the next level. We didn't make it out before the 45 minutes was up, and we are intelligent people. Challenging is ok, but it should be doable. If anyone has ever made it out of the mid level difficulty without staff assistance, I would have to see it to believe it. I felt ridiculous even trying this. Felt like it was planned by a kindergarten class. Certainly not worth $25 per person.
First escape room experience at Exit Langley. Had a blast working through a series of puzzles. Did not escape (made it to the second room) but still enjoyed the experience.
We did the Himalayan Cavern and found it to be extremely hard. It is a lock only escape room. Locks ranged from number type, letter type and directional types. There, from what I can gather about 9+ locks spread across three rooms. So you have like 5 minutes per, to solve. I only give it three stars as the information given when beginning the room and while moving through it felt very limited and some what confusing. It didn't help the lattern I was given seemed to be flickering on and off. Still,I will try another some other time.
This place was terrible, the puzzles made no sense what so ever, we're super smart people and we had no idea they were all out of left field like way left field all the way out left field so much it was ridiculous. 60$ wasted at this establishment, I will never go again. I have done many of these and they made no sense.
Had fun, but Wild West room needed repairs. Not quality props.
Really enjoyed the evening.it was a team building event so we worked as a team. We didn't make it out in time but were very close. Good time was had by all. Great place to go as a team.
I did the Temporal Escape - A chase through time room and had a lot of fun. The puzzles were challenging and there was a lot of variety in them. Will definitely be going back to try the other rooms.
I like the concept, and the clues were very clever. I think it was designed to be rushed through, and meant to be solved by asking for clues. Those who want to solve on their own probably won't have the time. Once you've done it a few times, and know how it works, it probably gets easier. The rooms were so small that I can't imagine a bigger party being comfortable (we were 5).
I come here so often almost like 2-3 times a month and Josh is by far the best employee that I’ve ever had there he’s so helpful and honestly just a really great person to talk to! He’s helped my friends and I through some pretty interesting things when we were doing the rooms and was beyond helpful in every situation, would give more than 5 stars if possible ????
Bring Friends for an awesome time
Super fun time. First time doing one of these and had no idea it would be this fun and challenging. The people who were working were super nice and down to earth. I really like how they were great at explaining things but they also respected the game enough not to give us any extra hints and really earn the victory or at least a well fought defeat.
This was the first escape room I'd done. Very well laid out.
Meh.
Exit Langly is a great place to visit. We had a lot of fun and will go back again.
We had so much fun at Exit. It was my first time going to an Escape Room and this surely exceeded all my expectations. Staff was is friendly and informative.
Really fun experience with friends. Will go back
More difficult than you think it would be. You really have to think outside the box but also don't overthink things. Really fun though
The 1 star is not real if i could i would put zero stars... We booked at the location for a specific room the previous day and showed up only to find they booked us incorrectly and wouldnt give us the room we asked for. The first room we got right within 10 mins due to mechanical issues and not asking right away our time was wasted and was told they would add it on. The second room we got the code within 2 mins and the keypad wasnt even on. By the time we got to the third room we just started and our time was up and he kicked us out. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. No extended time or discount. Highly recommend not going there.
Always a good time. Staff very accommodating . Sometimes set up of rooms isn't right but they will compensate time lost.
Staff was friendly, but very young. Efficient in their instructions. Unusually they come into the game room to give hints, rather than over an intercom. No effort is made for immersion, but as a pure puzzle experience, it was fine. The decor elements were clearly labeled as not part of game play, which reduced searching.
Amazingly fun place to go. Had a great time with my kid.
It was fun but definitely not my favourite place to go for escape rooms. I wish the rooms decor was a bit more interesting
We booked an escape from online for 4:15pm. Drove an hour across the city and showed up at 4:00pm to find NO ONE THERE. Doors were locked, building dark. We tried calling 4 times (both website and voicemail say they open at 3pm), knocked on the door, and triple checkled the time and date of our booking. No answer on the phone, no luck with the door. We finally left after sitting around till 4:30. Really disappointed. The building and online advertise walk-ins welcome but how can you walk in if they are closed?
There was many things in the room that weren't working which made the experience frustrating.
It was fun! We were so close to finishing! Will go back.
Was poorly designed and layed out. Had 5 of us and we only were able to solve one clue ourselves. The hints and clues don't provide much insight to what actually needs to be done. Did the wild west and made it to the second room. Price is way too much for 45 minutes. Charing about $150? For less then an hour of time is ridiculous. Do Not Recommend Doing any Escapes here!
Fun experience. Nice people.
Great experience. Went with a group of 9 and the staff was very helpful! Can’t wait to come back
The fat guy working here is mean. Would give 0/5 if I could.
We came Nov 28th at 4 pm The girls that we're working there were amazing really impressed definately going too go there again
Great set up. Comfortable. Modern. Challenging.
Had tons of fun here with my family! it was our first time going and it was a challenge but we were able to beat the room!
Great team building event. We are now successful on all 4 rooms!!
Lacked an authentic feel. Paid too much to be simply locked in a black hallway with mediocre at best "obstacles" double the price and do the VR escapes in Richmond.
Fantastic experience. Very difficult but dont overthink the answers! Will definitely come back to try and finish the Lab Escape.
Good
Born used to the escape room concept but found things to be a bit disconnected and unlikely. I would think more a story to follow and clues are logical and connected.
Staff was very rude. Terrible experience. Wouldn't recommend.
