REVIEWS OF Silverton Falls IN Lake Louise

Carl-Hugo Marcotte

Cute little hike. Fun for a family or else

Nahnah Gomez

Great short walk with a perfect reward at the end. I did the falls round trip in 30 mins or less. That's with stopping to enjoy the scenery. You walk into the forest, then along a creek, a couple steep swith backs the along a steep edge and thin trail so keep kids close at that spot. Nice falls in four stages of the falls. Also good mountain views. There is washrooms at the start of the trail.

Some of the trails were blocked off, and others were very rough. Not safe for two way traffic...very narrow and steep dropoff.

Jai Cheema

Great views, easy hike. Can be fairly slippery at times (went early December 2020), so bring appropriate footwear

Nice set of falls.

Eric Blair

4 star because of the last section of the trail is not really maintained. Short distance and good reward (falls) are good things, but stiff and narrow section is dangerous for kids.

Frederick Prigge

Short 30 min hike. Brought my 4 and 5 year old no problem.

Evan Ashdown

Great short hike, narrow trail at the top close to the edge, just be careful

A nice little hike to a cool little waterfall. The first 1/8 of the hike is perfect for small kids, however, beware of the last few hundred meters as there is a fairly steep embankment. Otherwise it's a short easy hike with a beautiful reward at the end!

Stacey Romphf

Nice view. Good path. Not too long of a distance. There is an incline. The trail has a steep side that may not be the best for those with a fear of heights.

Christina Calhoun

Dave Duggan

Nice little hike and dogs are allowed.

Great hike! Pretty short but the climbs and narrow ice laden trails make for a challenge in the winter. Seeing the view from the top was amazing. Ran into a few groups with small children, definitely wouldn't recommend taking small children on this hike in the winter given steep clif sides and ice near the top.

Kevin Crisp

Blood is the price you have to pay to see this water fall as there are so many blood thirsty mosquitoes ????

Robbie Anderson

Great short walk, suitable for all ages that can walk trails.

Marco Maranao

This hiking was fairly short and easy. The only part that wasn't really impressive was the last part of trail. It is really narrow off cliff. So you really need to be careful on trail. Trail was all dry and no ice or snow.

Mat Graham

Nice short hike that's quiet. Very slippery in the winter.

David Papp

Nice light hike with a very pleased reward. I highly recommend it.

Jordan Sorenson

Easy walk to start then a couple switchbacks. A little narrow near the falls. Nice clear path along the creek on the way back. Very cute little hike.

Less than a 1km hike along Rockbound Lake Trail diverts to this spectacular double-tier waterfall plunging 50m down Silverton Creek. Definitely worth a visit.

Robert Fortin

Little slippery,

Zubair Akthar

No one else around... just us and the falls.

Rob Maurer

A great little hike (1.8 Km out and back) that ends on a small waterfall, it is an easy one so is good for the entire family, there is a parking lot and a small bathroom (I don't recommend using this unless you really need to go) dogs are also allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times

Spencer Mackay

Short but a bit steep, very impressive falls

Claudia Reyes

Easy walk. Can get muddy and steep but the view is 100% worth it!

Braden Claringbold

David Piano

Tom Loszchuk

Easy hike with amazing sights!

Ashley Swiderski

Short rewarding trail

Susila Ramalingam

Easy Hike. Less than 30 mins with great view during winter season! Please be careful with the trail as its slippery.

Jordan

Hike is about 2 km in total. Amazing views at the top. One of the most beautiful waterfalls we have been to yet. Just be careful near the top the path gets narrow in a couple spots.

Sarah Johnson

Easy hike. Round trip under an hour. Gets “moderate” for last third. Can be slippery if wet. Cell signal at falls. Trail is narrow so good if not crowded. Not much room for people when viewing falls. Need to take turns.

Kandis C

Did the short hike to the falls with a 5 and 7 year old, everyone enjoyed the break from the road. Pretty nice waterfall and viewpoint.

Stephen Bruce

A short 15 minute hike on the main path from the parking lot and you'll reach a beautiful view of the falls.

susan hope

Great family friendly nature hike. My three year old walked most of it. Hit this spot if you have a chance.

Chelsea D

Easy and short hike to the falls.

Kayla Kensley

Brock M

Beautiful waterfall, easy hike - perfect for a day trip. Located near Castle Mountain in Banff National Park.

Pearl H

Nice short hike to an impressive waterfall. Contrary to Parks Canada info, the hike is just over 1km each way and 100m elevation. The former, lower route is blocked off for "restoration".

susan thiessen
