I went to the observatory for their Sunday yoga event. The staff is courteous and patient. The views are amazing. The event included a yoga class and brunch at Les Enfants Terribles, great value! Although I am bilingual, my only comment is that the yoga class was in French only and it wasn't noted anywhere that it would be. This might be a surprise for those who do not know French.

Wow! Talk about one awesome place! This Observatory is truly "one of a kind." My friends and I stopped in here one beautiful morning in the early autumn season just when the leaves were barely starting to change colors. You could look down on Montreal, and the 360* view was absolutely beyond mesmerizing! I can't imagine how beautiful it must be up there in Au Sommet Place Ville Marie when fall is at it's peak in Montreal! I come from the USA, and this is one place that I will never, ever forget for the rest of my life! Truly, an awesome experience! Take your family and friends here! Observatory place in Montreal is a perfect place to see the city from the sky. It's located at the 46 floor and gives a 360 degree view of the entire city. The entrance ticket gives access to the Observatory on the 46th floor and the large 4 seasons terrace on the 44th floor, according to the available time slots. There is no price for access to the restaurant. The ticket price is sewhat around 19 cad per person. We took the Montreal city pass which had this included in it. I would say that this is probably similar to CN tower in Toronto wherein you get to see the city completely. The place is open throughout the year but has different closing times. So please check the timing before you are planning to visit. Overall a nice place to spend around a couple of hours clicking pics and enjoying the mesmerizing Montreal.

My advice is go on a clear day, we made the mistake of going up when it was overcast. The views from 600 feet in the air are fantastic you can see pretty much the whole city (including the Olympic Stadium) and there's lots of interesting history boards to read too. It does cost to go up but I thought it was worth it for the views and to learn some more about the city during our brief stay.

Beautiful place to get a view of the city. Been up there twice. First, on the last night of Montréal en Lumieres festival, the Blanche Nuit, and the view was just too beautiful, with everything and every place lit up. Second, on one of their soirée sunset evening. The sunset was not visible that day, but the night view was once again very good. One of the go-to places in Montréal for a good 360° view of the city.

Well number one pick the right weather at the right time and woala you got an arial view of Montreal, it's one of a kind and very memorable needless to say . $19 bucks gets you some really cool pictures it's up to your creativity and the weather to make the best out of it ,enjoy it or take it to the next level by means of a helicopter ride for over $170.00 bucks for a half an hour flight , it's your choice .

So I have been to three view point of the city. 1. Ferris wheel at the port of an old city 2. Observatory 360 in the city centre 3. Mont royal park I can say that observatory give you the biggest angle of view (360), so you can see everything in any direction possible. You can see Olympic stadium, old port, almost everything. So it is worth visiting. 2. Mont royal park view point is mainly facing city centre, but you can also view some other parts of the city, so it is not as good as observatory, but it is definitely worth visiting 3. From ferris wheel you can't see much because of the skyscrapers, so it is not really worth it.

Great little observatory! Focused on meteorites. We saw a fantastic double feature about the aurora borealis and the night sky. Part of the Olympic Complex with lots of other interesting sites & features. Definitely worth a day to visit.

First thing's first: the entrance is confusing. Just look for the entrance marked with 1 Place Ville Marie, and use that one. Once you get inside, ask someone how to get to the observatory. You have to take the escalators down, walk through a maze, and then take two elevators up. While the building itself doesn't look that tall, it still offers 360 views of Montreal. The cost is $15 for students (it says ages 13-17 but the employee said any student ID will work) and $19 for adults. Because of this higher price tag, not a lot of people visit the observatory. We went at around 11 am and there were only four other people walking around. Definitely a one-time thing for me, but I'm glad I got the chance to visit.

For $21 you can't beat this. We did go an hour before closing so it was not as crowded. However, the second we got up we were told they were closing down for the day and should be mindful of that. Went up during the week, so it was very quiet. It seems a little pricey at the point of paying but once you get up to the top it's 100% worth it (on a clear day). The 'tour guide' type gentleman at the top was very informative and friendly. I would recommend taking binoculars up, as I did. Would definitely visit again, I would visit fortnightly if it were cheaper. (I absolutely hate heights and I managed to stay up there for hours, I only felt funny was when I looked directly down)

Me and my family came here from Anerica on vacation and we love Montreal! The day we tried to come here it was the day before it opened! We decided to come back in August to do things we couldn't in our first trip. This was on the top of our list. After coming here I cannot recommend it more! The staff speaks both french and english (which is common in Montreal but worth recognition) and the manager we had was so good! She was able to get us a great seat! The food is also made very well, and I hot the AAA Beef Burger. I recommend because its very inexpensive but of great quality. Its almost a better deal than the observatory above because its a great food WITH a view for a considerably good price of you order very carefully. Les Enfants Terribles gets 5 stars because I can't give it 7.

Worth the trip to the top. The trip is split into two elevator rides, the longer and faster one and the 2nd one for the final 3 floor. The faster elevator rides come with the ear popping and a little bit of shaking (haha) to ensure you realize just how high you are ascending. Great views all around at the top.

In comparison with other high observation places around the world I found this very lacking in information on actual building names etc. Also since the panoramic photos were taken with pointers there are many new buildings blocking the view described. As always though I love seeing cities from a height and this one does just that.

A relatively small observatory and the terrace below is a bit of a hinderance when taking photos. The size doesn’t take away from the experience though, I love how informative the exhibition one floor below is. There are small write-ups and videos on 55 aspects of life and culture in Montreal as well as some books (some in French some in English) about food, culture, festivals, and literature in this city. The observatory really gave a tourist like me a fun and intuitive scoop of Montreal. I easily spent 2 hours here all by myself, which is rare even in many other bigger observatories I’ve been to in New York, Tokyo, and Shanghai.

Fantastic view, especially on a clear day. The observation deck is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, with massive floor to ceiling windows. It was not very busy therefore we didn't feel rushed or crowded. The prices were high but admission is included in the Passport MTL, which is a great deal. Some of the photos with identified buildings were slightly confusing due to new construction or weird placements, but they were still helpful. The inner portion of the main level explains the history of the building complex. There is a second level that has small anecdotes and stories about the culture of Montreal. It was well done, but some lights were burnt out. The only concern I had was that it was difficult to find the entrance. It's on the first underground level and there isn't much signage.

This place has spectacular 360° views of the city of Montreal day and night. It was not completely crowded and was priced reasonably at $23 for a full day pass. From here you can take timelapses of cars speeding down highways, zoom in to various landmarks like jean-drapeau park, Mount Royal, and the state of Vermont. They are very friendly with tripods and they had no problem with me setting mine up to take timelapses and long exposure photos.
