Just awesome

Larissa Maendel. Life of a pregnant widow

Nice scenery however it is not clear how to get to falls, need some signs , especially if the road is closed for vehicles as it was and therefore people must walk .

Angelo Garcia

Well I loved the way the Park is kept clean and organized, trails are well marked and scenic, definitely I recommend good hiking shoes, beware of the gorgeous surroundings and Fauna and Flora, don't get closer to any animal specially Bears, respect Nature, don't litter and enjoy the beautiful landscape! Park is closed due to COVID and you need to keep in touch with the website to find out when it will reopen.

Pretty spot to hike or picnic. Not safe in some areas for unleashed dogs or for small children. Some drop off areas must be careful where you hike. Worth the stop though if your going through Engleheart.

(Translated) Superb place with beautiful trails, beautiful rest areas. It's awesome (Original) Superbe endroit avec de beaux sentiers, de belles aires de repos. C'est génial

Bev Cordukes

Small, quiet park. There are some hiking trails that were good for our seniordog because they were short and fairly level. No place to allow your dog to swim or area for dogs to run off lead. The river is very fast running so be careful if you let your dog in for a dip. The Park is staffed part time by 3 local students and is run by the nearby Englehart community. No warden or official Ontario Park staff on site. Englehart is right across highway 11 from the park so you can tour unto Town and buy groceries, ride your bike safely. The close town of Earlton has an RV store that also offers 4 or 5 sites with free RV hook ups with water and electricity if you get stuck without a campground nearby.

This is serenity at it's finest! Stunning scenery and amazing hiking, cross country skiing and snow snowing. One of my favourite places in this big beautiful world!

Dawn Booth

Great place. We love that it is natural and wild.

Park needs a fair bit of work...facilities are very old. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Winona Zelenka

Beautiful park with trails and views, big camping lots that are pull-through, and not too many sites so not crowded. Clear piney air and beautiful tall aspens everywhere. Down sides- bathrooms are partly fixed up but need work, though they are big enough; understaffed; camp was quiet over the weekend but already early Monday morning the local huge lumber mill made enough noise you could hear it. But would come again, it’s a special spot.

Katie “KJ” Jackson

I had better expectations for the park facilities. So the showers are closed but “use at your own risk” it seems like the park needs more than 3 young people running it. The facilities are very old, I suspect it’s all the original buildings from the late 1950s. The comfort station bathroom looks fairly clean and the trail was nicely groomed so that was nice. A lot of sites are on a decent slope so be prepared to level your RV safely and make sure your power cable is long. The trails are beautiful and what make this destination a gem! Their are multiple little waterfalls. I’d imagine it would be awesome to ski here in the winter.

Really nice, quiet park. Did an overnight camping stay. Beautiful forest and decent facilities, but there did not seem to be safe drinking water available which was a surprise because I didn't notice a warning on the website about that. Campsites are quite close together, so it's not very private, but there weren't very many people around, so it was fine.

A beautiful waterfall and campgrounds. Follow direction to the falls. On the way you can see a left turn for a fall observation. Get a view nd drive forward to reach the bottom. Will reach directly at the middle falls. Go both upstream and downstream to view other 2 falls.

I bet this park, in its day, was beautiful. Unfortunately vandals, lack of maintenance and time did a number on this gem. Needs some serious attention. The scenery is breathtaking but is hindered by overgrowth of trees and weeds. The picnic tables are loose and/or broken, the old footbridge is out of service and the campsites are horrible. Not worth what they're charging for admission. This once was a gorgeous park. Also the rates are confusing and overpriced.

This out-of-the-way park has numerous waterfalls along relatively easy hiking trails. It's great for photography and scenic hiking. I've never camped here because there isn't any swimming (so if that's your expectation for a provincial park, you might be disappointed).

Beautiful trails . Lots of water falls ,rapids and bird sounds . Very poor directional informations. Trail markings are confusing

Devin Morrison

Love this park. There is usually little to no other campers. The infrastructure is great and bathrooms clean.

Lots were small and seemed like everyone was on top of each other. Fire pit was a mud hole in the ground.

Travis Eveland

Beautiful place, massive and seemingly endless trails

Julie Tutic

Beautiful, and clean Park. It cost $12 to go visit the water falls, it was worth it. There was 3 different areas with water falls, the sound of the falls are just so relaxing.

Ross

Have been here for a second time in three years. The park has had a lot of work done to it as the facilities are clean fully stocked, and sites have electricity, just don't think the water as it has not been tested. Wished more people visited this fabulous place.

Enderemyツ

Jon Jadot

Wasn't officially open today, but still a beautiful provincial park.

Gary Sopher

Facilities are somewhat rustic but functional, including showers. Spots with electrical hookup are a bit cramped and close but only 32 total. No other campsites open at the moment so the park is very sparsely populated. Great wilderness and nary another person to be seen. Rapids, chutes and waterfalls are spectacular. Staff undersold this place at entry but the park overdelivered. Loved it.

Ian MacDonald

A contractor doing work for the park came into our site as the sun was going down and told us he would be using an excavator and doing construction at the neighboring site at 8am the following morning. He asked if that was okay with us. We said it wasn't, so he said 8:30 was the latest he could start because he had double booked his heavy equipment (and somehow that's our problem). He suggested we should pack up and move to another campground (at sunset, while all our stuff was unpacked and setup, we had a fire going and were cooking dinner). Not sure if he was high/drunk or just never been camping before. He fired up the excavator just before 7am the next morning (sept 8) and started pulverizing leftover building materials with it (not sure why - that's usually done at landfills... maybe he was dumping in the park to save money). We were forced to get up and leave. There were also 4 piles of human feces and wet toilet paper around our campsite. But we're not that picky so we just kept our distance. Otherwise seemed like a typical provincial park glampground, so decent.

Extremely poor maintained park. Its facilities are all rusted and leaking. The front office is always closed and there is practically never on duty attendant. The paths between camp sites are muddy and trailers and cars easily stuck in mud. I do not recommend this park at all. It's a total waste of time. The surrounding natural area is also not a big deal. Only trees and that's it.

Was nice, not worth a 7hour drive for me

Great spot, out of the way from the fast pace of life, wonderful staff, amazing trails a d the falls are worth the visit ????????

Gorgeous falls. Walk in from the entrance, try some trails or can even camp out.

This is an ok provincial park. Not to many amenities, and the hiking seemed mostly unkempt, although the Hell's Gate Trail by the following river was rugged and very enjoyable. This park seemed mostly unmanned, with self serve pay deposit box on entry. So bring exact change incase there is no one working. All in all don't regret visiting, as there were some nice spots, but I can't see myself returning.

We feel that maybe ontario parks should put some money into this park and make some improvements. The kids hired to keep it clean work hard , but there is only so much they can do. The falls were beautiful, but the park needs some tlc

Our campsite was tiny and steps to the adjacent site with zero privacy, which sucked when our neighbours rolled in at 9:30 to set up, and were in the mood to socialize. The park has a no excessive noise policy, and no noise after 10, but the neighbours still kept my little one awake. Definitely an RV park; not good for tenting. That said, what an adventurous area! The waterfalls access was exhilarating. The trails are wild and more abundant than led to believe; you can find all kinds of abandoned trails. And the crumbling infrastructure feels like you're exploring ruins! My 4yo and I had an amazing time exploring and adventuring in the area. I wished we could have camped "backcountry" off the trails, rather than have to go back to our tiny site - that would have made it a 5-star experience. As much as I disliked our campsite, we will absolutely be back to explore the area again.

Carl Best

Beautiful, amazing place, too bad no one is investing in it. It's my favorite so far and I have been to lots. ????to ontario parks for not giving it some well needed TLC

A Beautiful Winter Wonderland for Hiking, Snowshoeing and Cross Country Skiing. Operated by Englehart Nordic Ski club during the Winter months. An attractive Chalet to warm up in beside the woodstove. The Chalet is open on weekends from 11am until 4pm, offering coffee, tea and hot chocolate, plus a good supply of equipment that one can borrow. Low daily or annual Membership fees. The club is on Facebook.

Here for 4 nights. It's an older park but has fabulous water falls. The comfort stations are older but acceptable. Not hot water but warm. Outhouses are fine. This is a smaller provincial park. Only 32 trailer sites. There are some tents sites available. There is electric hookup but no water.

Shannon Hermer Millar

The campsite was really small and thin made for rvs and too close to other people for my personal enjoyment. Every other park with electric sites had a lot more space and privacy but .. The park is stunning. The staff were great. We were in #9 and all the sites were basically the same. Tall trees. Lots of shade but nothing between sites and the trailer in the next site was no more than 20 feet away. Still very quiet ..

Mark Smith

Great place to relax

Sharmin Ghasemi

Of course the park’s nature and trails are beautiful but that’s not built by Provincial park. The park facilities are at minimum and very in need of repair. The only washrooms in the park with running water looks it’s been built 30 years ago and never touched since then, no water at women’s shower rooms and only one of 3 showers in men’s room was sort of working, Park gate office was closed during the weekend we were there June 28-29 and no one answered our calls to all posted phone numbers available on Ontario Provincial Park website, we called numerous times at different time of days as our RV was stuck in mud and needed help. Luckily one of our neighbouring camp sites had a truck and helped us out of there???? We saw no park patrol during our 2 days stay there at day or night, basically the park and campers are left to own, do not expect any support, service or answer , stay at your own risk. Based on available services at this park the camping fees should be just the cost of electricity or at a very minimal level and not certainly ~ $40/night +tax (electrical) that is charged across provincial parks.

It appeared to be unmaintained. The footbridge across the river is boarded up, preventing it's use. The pavement is often cracked with tall weeds. The map flyer is inaccurate, which messed up our attempt to find the picnic area.

Beautiful park and have to commend the 3 staff here, they do an awesome job for a big park in keeping it clean and all trails and grass maintained. Would give 5 stars but was a little disappointed with the sites themselves, very close together and not a lot of privacy. Would have been great to see the park in it's hay day, it's a shame it wasn't kept up with over the years.
