Here you have the information of real people like you who bought the services and products of Rideau Canal, Locks 46 - 49 - Kingston Mills (Tourist Attraction) in Kingston (Canada).
At the moment the firm receives a score of 4.6 out of 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is practically the best one, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Historical landmark.

A beautiful part of Canadian history. Interesting to see the summer staff perform the very manual tasks of opening and closing the locks as necessary.
Its a great place to hang out or do some fishing and or have a picnic located on Kingston Mills rd. off of north Montreal st. Or off of HWY.15
Great little excursion a quick drive away from Kingston. The close up view of the locks was treat for young and old.
Grabbed some fries from a chip truck, and went to the mills for lunch at the picnic tables. (Also have BBQs for bigger get togethers. ) …

My go to place to re-connect.
Such a beautiful place to visit.
Great place to explore the age old locking mechanism, enjoy the sitting in park and interacting with other people. Getting to know the methods behind the wheel from expert who work there. …
Under heavy construction and would be very easy for a small child to fall in the lock. Very little safety infrastructure right now (ever? Hard to tell). Beautiful view along the lake and neat when the Via Rail train goes by on the big train bridge.
Beautiful, well maintained place. Calming on the mind :)
Under construction in the winter. Nothing to see.
This is a great place to stop for about an hour. There are picnic tables around the park that you can sit and eat at, so would be a great place to pack a lunch. You can also walk alongside the locks and see how the boats get from one end to …

Little historical gem just outside Kingston. Great for a family outing.

A wonderful and quiet place.
Staff are friendly and super helpful, washrooms were clean. Good old fashion family fun in the great outdoors!
Beautiful
I watched a family drive their car straight into the water. Freaky place to fish sometimes. Although you'll often find big bass.
History and beauty in equal parts. Lovely spot for all to stretch our legs, take a breathe of fresh air and learn more about the Rideau Canal system and it's history.
Nice but noisy due to the train bridge for camping for this it should be free
Lovely place to see. Not much parking. Good walking trails and the scenery is beautiful!
Beautiful site!
Nice area see nice boats meet freindly people
A beautiful well kept peace of Canadian History and ingenuity loved the well kept locks and information, this is a must go see place.
I can't believe these locks are still working after almost 200 years of operation! The staff told me they crank them open for boats 5-10 times a day!

Peaceful walking trail, displaying the beauty of the Kingston area.
Interesting and fun. There are examples of the various types of locks built on the Rideau Canal. The locks are still in use.
Great fishing
Great place to hang out and check the boats go by.
A beauty of a location when in kingston during fall time.
Good fishing spot
Great spot to relax, watch the boats go through, or have lunch in a beautiful setting. Washrooms available also.
Wonderful Experience.
Lovely quiet place to stop between Montreal and Canada. Always take a moment to think about Zainab Shafia, 19, Sahar Shafia, 17, and Geeti Shafia, 13, who were killed by their family here because they were independent women.
Nice place to camp, go fishing, boating and hang out with family and friends, not a lot of parking, but it's a nice small area to relax and enjoy a few outdoor activities like BBQ and picnics. Not too far from Toronto, easy and relaxing commute. Made a quick stop on the way from Quebec going to Toronto.
Its a very beautiful place to visit. Very peaceful. To be able to see a part of kingstons history from the 1800's is a wonderful experience. Even though I didnt visit in the summer months, I do plan on it so I can see the boats come in and out. I reccomend this place to everyone!
Absolutely amazing location. Love the old manual style lock system. Great place for a weddings and photos! Make sure you check out the little museum as there is all sorts of neat stuff in there. My favourite place to visit when on trips to Ottawa.

Lovely place for picnic or family time
Pretty, even though the locks were dry and the museum closed. On this visit we ventured down both sides of the highway - on one side you can walk along the locks to a pier where you often find people fishing. On the other side of the …

Kingston Mills lock station is a nice attraction and only 10 minutes away from Kingston. It offers a nice walk down and up the lock stations and along the Cataraqui river. Boats, trains and cars all cross this site in a unique way. Great photo opportunities in the evening light or during the Fall.
Great scenic area.
Good for a walk
Loved the sunset, a decent fishing spot.
A beautiful place for hiking, swimming, fishing, rock climbing or just to relax. Easily my most favourite place in Kingston.
It was so much fun to watch the boats go through the locks.
Lots to explore.
Excellent place for a walk, and enjoy nature.
Bad memories
Very interesting to see how the boats enter and exit through the canal. The place was very beautiful with picnic tables and barbecue stands. The wash room was clean. It is great place to spend your day.
It's the Kingston Mills Locks. Pretty cool how it actually works. Kids get so fascinated when they open it up
Beautiful
One of Kingston's best kept secrets
It's a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy being in nature no matter the season!
A great historical attraction
A fun tourist stop over. Watch the boats pass and enjoy nature.
A great little escape. If you are looking for a place away from it all, this is it. Fishing, light hiking, a picnic can be done here. We will be back.
Nice, quit place to visit
Such a beautiful price of working history. So neat to watch and a great place for a picnic
Beautiful spot, very little parking available.
Interesting history. Nice to watch boats go through the flight of 4 locks. Road traffic is busy and gets back logged. Staff is happy to answer questions. Not much else to do here. Areas for pinics.
Very interesting place, and very helpful crew that answered many of our questions happily. In the summer there seem to be a steady flow of boats going both up and down the canal, giving us plenty of opportunities to watch the locks at work.
The closest locks to Kingston, and a beautiful place to go fishing... Filled with lil sunfish and pikes
Quiet, lots of locks, shaded area + bathroom. Water in bathroom is potable (drinkable) but not tasty.
Beautiful location... Had our family portraits taken around the locks.
They have areas roped off no access to public.
Awsome location. Great place to visit when in Kingston.
Toilets were open and there were plenty on rubbish bins available. Clean and well kept grounds with friendly staff.
Neat place to visit or dive through, lots of history and a great place to take pictures or have a picnic.
Romantic place, very beautiful and new experience
Nice spot but fish are highly pressured
I went out on a date, and was there, to view it. Was nice

Great spot to fish or swim.
Great day fishing or picnic spot. Hiking..rock climbing.. boating.
Beautiful spot, especially in the spring and summer. Took time to explore the ground and watch the locks in action.
A real nice surprise 5 minutes from town!
Showed the first set of locks in the Rideau Canal system that takes boats to and from communities between Ottawa and Kingston.
Beautiful but busy end to the Rideau (we'd just paddled from Ottawa). Amazing 'overflow' lock gates!
Great history. Nice fishing at the lock
Great place for some climbing and a good place to see the last manpowered lockstation.
Fantastic food great staff fair prices we would definitely return.
Just 100 meter east of the Locks is the generating station at Kingston Mills. It sits on the edge of Colonel By Lake. In 1914, on the site of an old grist mill, a new hydroelectric plant was constructed by Gananoque Light & Power. …
What should I bring if I wanna bbq here?
Beautifully peaceful. Love jogging here ????
Secret heaven.
This is a beautiful site, glad that there was public bathrooms to use for after my hike. We were also able to fish. We were not thrilled about having to pay for parking unfortunately.
Nice for a wee stroll
So great! Was able to see the locks in action.
Very slow and staff are definitely over worked!
Good
Nice stop if u r around here
Beautiful area to sit down, relax and watch the boats go by. Also, you get to meet lots of friendly people while you're there.
Hung around long enough to watch several boats go through the locks, cool experience!
The park is very clean, multiple picnic tables. Very quiet and pleasant.
It was an impressive set of manual locks. Large sized and wonderful to see the historical context of these locks.
We have been spending the last few days visiting the locks along the Rideau River. Great history and fun time fishing. Always clean and friendly.
Beautiful peaceful site with undisturbed nature. I noticed there was a lot of fish in the river too! Small bridges you can cross that open to allow fishing boats to go through.
One of the most picturesque lock stations; is entirely free for all to explore on foot & features a fun & informative museum explaining the history of the Rideau Canal. This is the first set of locks heading North out of Kingston, a.k.a the last locks before the St. Lawrence River when travelling South from Ottawa.
Beautiful place to visit throughout the year. In the summer it is a nice place to have a picnic and watch the boats go by.
Great spot for a picnic or fishing.
Not much luck fishing there but overall nice lake
This is a really interesting place to stop, especially for people who have never seen locks in action. I didn't realize there were places with multiple locks in a row (I've only ever seen single locks), so it was cool to see. These locks …
great fishing spot for kids. Lots of Goby ( yikes ), Sunfish, and yellow perch. On rainy / cold days you may sometimes find larger Bass. Water is also shallow, very fun place to swim, kayak etc as well. All around something to do for everyone.

Great park and place to fish
First time through and we loved it. Great staff!!
Pretty in summer... not so much in winter.
A beautiful spot with something for everyone- picnic areas, a flight of several locks, small museum, views of the lake and even washrooms. Although the museum was closed this visit, there are several informative signs. We walked along the trail on the dam which gives a gorgeous view of the Rideau.
Good but if you are looking to go over the bridge and it is open can take a bit of time
Excellent spot to go and see the boats going through the locks
Beautiful day watching the boats pass through the locks.
Educational and well-kept grounds.
Beautiful place to spend some time boating or picnicking.

Checked this out today. My wife and I always love seeing locks. This location doesn't have a ton to see but it is worth the drive if you are in the Kingston area.
Very cool history and scenery. Great pit stop on any journey.

Very impressive. We would like to do a tour of the Rideau system by boat one day!
What a great place to see how the locks work, how much effort it takes to get a ship through the canal, and spend a beautiful day!! Highly recommended!!

Amazing flight of locks, knowledgible staff .
Great time. Kids loved it.
Remarkable
This is a "hidden gem"! You could spend hours here during the boating months, watching the boats go through the multiple locks and walking across the tops of the gates and down the stairs to the river and cliffs. I also see trains going …
It was nice to see a historical spot. Not alot of parking, just a good spot to stretch your legs. There's no bathrooms anymore so that was annoying for my kids.
It is such a beautiful place
Need more washrooms
Great site seeing opportunity
Wow.This was once in a lifetime experience.well coordinated
Great place for a picnic. You can enjoy the sights as the boats go thru the locks. Manual locks so people actually get to see the true workings of that part of the …
Great place to take your family for a picnic / BBQ. You can sometimes watch the staff operating the locks to raise / lower boats. Kids can watch the trains cross over the train bridge above. You can go fishing off the docks / shoreline below, and there is an area for rock-climbing as well.
Beautiful locks, but living on this road I wish there was a set schedule for locking times. I have started taking a long detour to avoid the area as I have been caught at all times of day. The causeway has set times to open, I guess the locks are just trying to get as many boats through as possible.
Great pokemon go stop grass needs watering.
Cool to watch boats go through the locks
Lovely area to explore and walk. Easy on the knees.
Nice place to sit and read
I dont like the majority of employees there.
Great place for the urban outdoorsman. Fishing, hiking, rock climbing you name it!
Neat place to check out
It's so good to spend time there.. But not after dusk. It became full of mosquitoes
Very beautiful and peaceful
Awesome spot for shore fishing or enjoying the day.
Very quiet and relaxing.

Not a tonne to do here, but quite pretty, particularly if you come in by water.
Great place for a picnic or just a quick break from the city or highway.
Beautiful place to go to get away.
Nice setting, interesting history.
Absolutely gorgeous !
Lots of parking
Cool
Nice view
A beautiful hidden place of tranquility in the busy city.
A good place for fishing or relaxing.
Loved this place. Great staff.
Quiet and calm place for a day trip. Watch the canal locks work as boats pass by. Good education for kids. Friendly staff. The railway over bridge is not covered. So do not stand underneath it when a train passes. There are chances for small pebbles to fall on your head.
Beautifully done. Relaxing afternoon.
Totally under construction. No where to really walk other than upper area - Col. By Lake. Hope it's cleared up by opening.
very quaint
Neat little spot. Highly recommended.
Such a beautiful spot, if you're near by, be sure to stop by this pretty spot and talk a walk down the canal.
Excellent locking personeĺ
Visited on the Sunday of a long weekend. Beautiful location. For some reason only 1 parking lot open so lots of cars parked along road. Although lots of cars it was not crowded. People picnicking fishing, hiking, rock climbing well spaced out. Will definitely return.
Serene
Not bad place to sit watching the boats come and go
Beautiful
Great place for a picnic, watch the boats go through the locks and fishing especially for the kids. Washrooms available when the locks are open. Kids can see trains go by too.
Awesome spot , so beautiful.
Nature at its best
Very nice place to visit, great history.
Probably a nice place if your not working on it
Nice spot to watch the boats go through the locks. Interesting swing-bridge. A picturesque part of the Rideau Canal.
Beautiful
Wonderful experience to sit by the locks and watch the boats, large and small, go by.
Beautiful
Great place to relax, watch the boats go through the locks, get some fishing in. An engineering marvel dug by hand. Very close to Kingston for a quick visit.
Part of the Rideau waterway. Historical locking system that allows boat traffic from Lake Ontario to Ottawa and beyond. Amazing to watch this water ladder raise pleasure boats from 1 level to a much higher level via 2 separate locks. These are 2 of many to reach your destinations on the water.
Had a great time watching boats in locks.
Great views and very informative
Every lock has a story. Its your turn to find it! Love any Lock to be honest and every lock is different in its own unique way.
