A small green space in Kingston. This is the start of the Rideau Trail. Easy hike to boardwalk and back. Fresh air and some quiet is offered here.

(Translated) Very charming place to walk around. I recommend, especially since I was able to see a wide variety of birds (including an owl), and a deer. Too bad golf spoils this natural side a bit. (Original) Endroit très charmant pour se promener. Je recommande, surtout que j'y ai pu voir une grande variété d'oiseaux (dont une chouette), et un chevreuil. Dommage que le golf gâche un peu ce côté nature.

City doesn't fix anything bored walks are a mess

shubham malik

Good trail, although its not complete as the bridge is broken between some parts but can be traversed. The trail itself doesn’t end after the railways tracks you either you have to turn back or walk the tracks to the next nearest road, it’s a risk.

(Translated) Path that was once the trail used by the pioneers from Kingston to Ottawa. The portion that begins in Kingston navigates between local ponds. This is maintained by volunteers. Nice parking at the entrance.

There is a 'lost city' currently there... not very safe for chidrens. The board walk is also currently broken so you'll need to be able to climb/jump. The trails are very nice and the lookout from the board walk is beautiful! Its a nice little hike or you can enjoy walking the railroad (but look out for trains!!!).

Nicole Julien

The wooden bridges need some tlc but otherwise a gorgeous trail and a good getaway to nature within the city.

Hiking path starting at lake ontario and heading north thru conservation land. Rideau trail uses this path with orange markers. Side loops along the way. Crosses major strees areas with shops and stores but still be prepared when hiking the trails. Very nice forest but people need to practice leave no trace principals, i carried a bag of garbage out that i picked up in under a km the bag was full! Parking area at king st and trailhead place.

Peter Skelton

A couple of bits of young climax forest but the boardwalk is dilapidated.

I have been here a few times just to walk the trails and see the wild life. The area is a marsh so the trails are flat but can get wet in places. There is a good choice of trail lengths, and trails will connect to longer trail systems. I recommend visiting on week days when it is quieter, for those of us with cameras.

Andrew McCowan

I love to go on walks here. Highly recommend!

Coming from the north end (Greenview Dr), the entry point is not marked and a bit difficult to find. The boardwalks are treacherous and not maintained. And, you must cross railroad tracks a few times. However, the stretch from the car park on King north to the boardwalks is decent, and a good spot for birding.

It is a nice walk but the boardwalk is closed right now. Not sure if it is because of covid or vandalism because the boardwalk ramp has been destroyed and the boardwalk doesn't looked maintained. The walk to the boardwalk is lovely though.
