The greatest location when I'm having a bad day and I still have the privilege to live in a city that is close enough to an area like that I can access I just sit there and sit for a little while I wrap up if it's warm and you're the sunshine most important of all of it to get that little bit of private time in my head the phones no computers just me and the water for a few minutes and then I get up and go back to work LOL awesome check it out safe fun and the city has put a lot of effort into keeping it that way and maintain you thanks Kingston Ontario some of us really appreciate the success we have here.
There are so many views to appreciate from lake Ontario Park. Lots of picnic tables to sit and have a bite and appreciate the view. A splash pad for the kiddos, good spot for parasailing, and can also choose to go for a long walk along the water, all the way downtown. Great place to bring a book and read. Well kept.
Good place to play and fresh air not mention the huge amount of insects
Great place to have a picnic. Picnic tables are available by the side of water with barbecue stands for use. Public washrooms also available with water fountain (was broken when we visited though). Great play area for kids with a park and splash pads. Good place for a swim if the water is not too choppy.
Excellent park
Great park. Ducks are very nice too.. Unusual but appreciated.
Lovely park, picnic tables in the shade, everyone paying attention to social distancing!
Awesome place
Lovely park with some fine walking trails, lots of places to stop and see the water, A playground, places to grill and eat. All in all a great place to go for a walk or spend some time with family and friends. Would recommend
What a jewel, with standing at much time as you can here
Beautiful place to hang out. Park is now open to the public. Great view of the beginning of lake ontario
Do not miss it if you are in Kingston area. It's a beautiful park.
Great view out on Lake Ontario
Beautiful trail along Kingstons Lake Ontario. Picnic lunch; swimming along the trail .. and beachsite .
Beautiful park. The newer playground is awesome. Splash pad, pavilion, walking trails, and waterfront view.
love going for a walk at this park, great waterfront trail and swimming spot.
I love going for an early morning walk and enjoy the peace and solitude.
So peaceful and pretty. Grabbed lunch and ate by the water with Mum and sis. Beautiful place!
Loved visiting this pretty park. The boat launch is very easy to use and is accessible for large and small boats. The view is gorgeous! Lots of room to walk and play. Kids will love the play area.
We love Ontario Park for walks, the splash pad and the route from it past the hospital towards downtown. Well maintained and always good to visit, you can even swim if brave enough
So beautiful and relaxing
Gorgeous spot. Lots of easy walking paths and spots to watch the lake
Had a nice walk - mostly along the water - through this park. Good trails, and even in March it was quite pretty - will be great in the summer! In testing to go past the old penitentiary too.
Great place
The entire trail along the edge of Lake Ontario is Judas a gem.
Great view of Lake Ontario, well maintained and clean. Loved the memories we made here.
GO AT SUNSET! Absolutely stunning. 100% Recommend for Photos
Nice place to visit, right by the water. Lots of free parking, ideal for spending time with friends and family.
Beautiful kept park with Lake Ontario beach. There are sand box like area for kids to play in the sand near the water. You can go swimming as it's clear but it's rocky near the shore so if you have water shoes, it's best if you wear them. I am not sure if it's sandy after the rocks. The park area is kept clean and well maintained with a sheltered picnic and washroom area. There's one playground near the front of the park and new one near it with a splash pad as well. Best of two worlds.
Fun spot with newly paved trails. Wonderful place to walk your 2 dogs. One who must smoke weed prior to our walks and the other who no doubt has a crystal methamphetamine lab somewhere in our backyard. Good times all around! Bring the whole family!
What a beautiful place.
L Ont. Park. I remember as a young kid grown up it was where parents told there kids...if you are good will take you to the park. From May till Labour day the trailer section would be full, you could here the music, the sound of kids having fun on the rides or the smell of the food, it was the place to have fun. Now it's a great place to take my dog for a swim or play ball.
Excellent park with lots of green space for the kids to run around and play.
Nice place with superb view of Lake Ontario. We had our lunch there and lake front. Breeze was very nice and we really enjoyed it.
If you haven't been here and you're around Kingston then you need to go! Beautiful waterfront area, beach areas, grass areas. The whole park is amazing. Continue on that road to the other parks along Lake Ontario for an amazing afternoon out!
I haven't spent much time in Kingston, so I was blown away by the beauty of the park. My wife and I agreed that it was the best part of our stay in Kingston. Keep in mind it was a nice 22 degrees, and sunny without hardly a cloud in the sky. Everything was very clean but bathrooms are closed right after thanksgiving weekend so go before you come! Also some dude was playing bagpipes which was sweet!
Very serene and scenic! Enjoyed the nature walk!
This park is a good place to play boats, the scenery is beautiful, there are some seats for rest, picnics, and you can eat while looking at the beautiful scenery of Lake Ontario.
Definitely love this place..! So peaceful and calm Water is damn clean ????
just love it
Fun place to explore for kids. Nice walk along the waterfront. Lots of shade and waterpark adventures for the kids to cool off in.
Beautiful, big park. There are BBQ's that you can use, and picnic tables. There is a washroom, with a changing room, and shower. There is a water park, play park, and people also swim in the lake. It is a beautiful walk between the harbour, and the park.
Beautiful view of lake Ontario and a great spot to explore or go for a walk. Pet friendly.
Great park for walks or picnics. Playground/splash pad is fantastic for the kids to blow off some energy.
Its spacious, full of life, near beautiful Lake Ontario very well taken care of grounds...my hat off to all the grounds Keepers and managers.
Very clear water ????
Fantastic place! Amazing views!
Great day great exercise
Beautiful stopping off point along the Kingston Shoreline Trail. We got lunch at the one food truck, rested up and biked back to Kingston. I hope the city works on a Shoreline connection or dedicated bike lane from Kingston to the Lake Ontario Park!
Nice splash pad, great play structure and clean facilities. Tough to swim with little ones.
Very nice scenic park, some very attractive renovations and more in progress. Beautiful sunrise and sets over lake Ontario. Pedestrian, cycle and pet friendly.
This is a perfect park for children with one exception: very dirty washrooms. This is the reason I won't give 5 stars.
Great place for families. Nice trails to walk. Splash park.
Very scenic with rocky beach and nice trail to stroll through
This the one of the best parks I have ever visited in Ontario. There are lots of parking available and very nice place to walk and enjoy the lake view. I had visited the park during my Kingston visit and hopefully will visit again this year.
Work is going on to upgrade the paths, so the park is less accessible to some users at this time. However, the paths will be in excellent shape when they are done. It looks like the two steepest hills will have alternate routes.
I love this park! It's peaceful and the walk ways are very well maintained! My husband and I will be returning! :)
Lake ontario park is unique park with inclusive space for all regardless of age, race and color in kingston with wide view of lake and water breeze I recommend it to everyone who love cool and relaxing quiet environment
Lake Ontario Park is a great place to go and stretch your legs while out for a walk or run. There are some great paths to walk on and lots of benches to sit on. There are stairs that go down to the lake where you can see the waves crashing along the shoreline. You can lay down on the grass and listen to the birds twittering in the treetops and feel the breeze on your face :-).
Always enjoy walking here and several places to swim. Since the new layout of the park, the splash pad has been a new addition and update of the viewing seat area for entertainment. The Old Camping area can still be walked, makes me wonder about all the Memories that must have been made over the years. Great for a time to relax with the family or catch an Event when available.
Loved it....nice place to refresh mind.. but beware of wild animals like snakes..
Lake Ontario park is located at the south end of the lake in Kingston.. absolutely love this place. Lots of walking . Kids play ground. water park for the little ones ..peaceful with lots of serenity..
Beautiful park to spend the entire day with the family at. Splash pad, playground, sand pits, water side, picnic tables and tons of greenery.
Amazing views, clean park
This place should be a must visit on your trip to Kingston. Though it is a lake, on a windy day it will ensure you feel closer to an ocean! The access to the lake is safe and perfect for seasoned swimmers. Simple yet beautiful! ????
One of the best places to run to combine the challenge of hills, uneven terrain, stairs and the peacefulness of being near the water.
This park is an amazing park it has a huge Splash Pad area and playground for the kids. You can go down to the water and my daughter just had a fantastic time in the water it's so wonderful well-kept maintain grounds

Wonderful place . Lotta wind and kite surfers.
LOVELY CLEAN WELL KEPT LOOK FORWARD TO WALKING THERE AGAIN WITH A WALKING GROUP !????♀️
Beautiful park. Swimming is possible, but only off of piers/rocky beaches. There's a boat launch, a few public bathrooms, and of course a scenic view of lake Ontario. Oh! There's a big splash pad, too. Good for young children!
Beautiful park with plenty of room to relax. Great play areas for kids and a nice volleyball court.
What a place . Its always refreshing to come and hang out at this place . Whenever we visit kingston, this is the place to be . Not a crowded place at all and best views
Good place for a walk , play with your children, and walk your dog. There is a wonderful view of the lake. There is a park and a sand box area. BTW bathroom are there too. It's a clean safe area.
Poorly lit at night, huge safety concern as a public walking path. The amount of spiders was unbearable.
I love a peaceful place with breezy view of beautiful waves and Lake Ontario Park, Kingston happens to be one.
The upgrades make this a wonderful place for people with different levels of mobility. This is the type of waterfront development Downtown Kingston really needs.
Who needs filter? It's always a different sunset at Lake Ontario ????????????
Nice view. Sunset..
Still a great place to visit. Take a walk. Play with your kids. Walk the dog. Some awsome old trees growing here.
A nice area to walk or run with plenty of sit down areas, boat launch, play structures and volleyball courts. A great place for walks with the girlfriend
Great place for picnic or whatever. Nice splash pad for kids, clean washrooms and shade in hot sun???? situated right on lake Ontario
What a wonderful place to be in summer. Splash pad and playground for kids, picnic tables, washrooms and acess to beach areas. A perfect walking path...I would give it a 10!!!
A fun place for the kids. Our daughter could spend the whole day here. Decent playground, enjoyable splash pad, lots of green space.
Beautiful place for a walk, especially during the sunset!
Absolutely stunning park in downtown Kingston right on Lake Ontario. It's huge! I would have given it 5 stars, but there is no beach to speak of. Just rocky areas where you can cautiously wade in...my 13-year-old nephew cut his toe on a rock...they are covered in moss and VERY slick. Beautiful though.
Beautiful and serene place to go take a stroll in the evening
Good fishing ????
Beautiful picnic spot and our group enjoyed our time outdoors. The volleyball court is amazing and we had a great game there. Plenty of parking. The toilets could be cleaner though and requires frequent maintenance due to the splash pad nearby
I love going near the water!! My friend was grateful for the benches at the bottom of the stairs!!
Great spot with beautiful views and nice place to walk
Great park with lots of spots to sit and enjoy the view.
Beautiful park, it has a big picnic area and splash pods, also the park is part of the Rideau Trail and also a beach, you can also do many outdoor activities
Nice splash pad, playground, food truck and you can dip your feet in the lake but no sand beach areas
Beautiful walk along the lake. Clean, paved path with several places to stop, enjoy the beach or sit on a bench to enjoy the breeze.
My children absolutely loved this place, as did I. Great for a walk, cool off in the splash pad, or play on the equipment.
Great upgrades to waterfront trails, great place for sunset ????
Changes to the park area have added to the natural beauty...well done Kingston, Ontario
Absolutely lovely,a beautiful spot for a walk by the water and see the sail boats. Well maintained. Kingston has so many treasures and this certainly is one.
Excellent scenery, walking trails.for adults, and tons of things to do for kids of all ages. Splash pad is really fun and the rides were plenty for kids. Really clean and spacious park to enjoy the natural beauty.
Beautiful and big enough park with lots of parking space. Splash pad, kayaking... with music sometimes will make your day awesome. Slides, swing etc for kids fun.
Beautiful place to do some work out, walk, ride a bike, yoga, make a BBQ or a picnic. Also you can swimm into the lake, take a lot of pictures and feed the squirrels! Enjoyable with some family and friends!
Great splash pad for kids and a nice place for a picnic, too. Lots of space for adults to sit or join in.
This place is great for outdoor activities. It has a walking trail, children playground, park-and-walk. It offers a beautiful lake view and one of Kingston city's Hospital is right in the park. I love taking a walk here❤
Amazing park. So much to do
The trade winds were fantastic! Watching all those high energy seniors crawling up the hill & doing the concrete steps two at time wow that was something. Nice escape from the high humidity in land.
Relaxing sounds and great cooling experience
Great place to visit, and get down to the water. Play structures for the kids
Beautiful, nice and quit place
Beautiful setting. Huge walkways. Mature trees, wind coming off of the lake's edge. Picnic settings available for all including BBQ pits. The walk will take you by some very historical and impressive limestone buildings by the cement pier. Quite a long walk, if followed from end to end. Ample parking as well.
Another great spot for a quiet walk. Pets welcome as well. Lovely views of lake Ontario and lots of trees and paths. Children friendly with safe play areas. Picnic tables and lots of parking.
This is a great place to go for a picnic, go for a walk or to take young kids to as they have a big area with a splash pad, swings and slides as well as a couple climbing structures
Great day. Went for a swim! Always a nice place to meet people.
Beautiful park. We only stayed in the one area but there are several climbers that look great for walking children. A few trails too. Beautiful spot. Well definitely be going back
A beautiful place, clean and peaceful area for workouts , walks or family time.
Beautiful, except for the May flies. Great place to walk or have a picnic.
Just a beautiful place to be all year long!
Breathtaking views. Lots of parking and lots of space. Clean washrooms and a splash pad. Well maintained area.
It's a must visit park in Kingston.
Amazingly beautiful park, with good facilities for kids, family outing, long walks etc. We spent the whole day and never got bored of the surrounding and beauty. A must visit.
Nice day for a visit to the park. Always a nice walk around through the park.

Lovely place to walk. Peaceful sitting and looking out over the water. Dog enjoyed too.
Beautiful park
Always have a great time. Excellent playground and splash pad for children to enjoy.
There were many people enjoying the afternoon with chicken and friends. We went to see the First Nations display that was recently placed there. It's one of our favorite places to spend a pleasant afternoon.
Just visiting Kingston but my boys loved the variety of playing at the splash pad and looking for treasures on the lake shore rocks!
