We left about 18:30 ...30 min it was getting dark ,nothing to see ....a band was trying to make some music ...its was an expensive 3 hour boattrip and nowhere to complain ...easy money making. ..

Did the dinner cruise... I didn't have fond memories when I was a kid who took the 3hr day cruise (bored outa my mind) .. so when my wife told us we were going wit our two young kids I had very low expectations.. saying that.. food was better than I thought... fillet mignon.. lamb n salmon were all acceptable n cooked well.. I thought the cliche band entertainment was going to annoy me but they got my 1yr old daughter dancing (thou she dances to any music).. i thought we were going to be crammed wit no where for my kids to escape but there was a boat observation area outside (generally was empty).. my son enjoyed going up there n watch the captain steer the boat... so now to some cons.. (1) vibe is generally the senior circuit.. (2) my son is 3.. so his ticket was the same as a teenager getting a full meal ($88) this seemed excessive.. (3) washrooms are like what u find on a charter bus.. best to hit up early in the evening or encounter horrific smells by the end of the evening.. Eek.. Ok saying all that my entire family loved it.. wit my low expectations of a disaster evening.. it turned out to be quite pleasant.. my kids were prob at the right age where they enjoy the novelty of being on a boat... Thou my guess if they were a few more years older they may have saw it like when I was a kid (the horrors of staring out the window n seeing the same views for 3+hrs)

Fun way to spend the afternoon. Fun commentary. Three hour cruise?..be a little bit longer than you may want but the buffet was reasonable. Only one dessert goes with buffet! Kids need a few options which isn’t hard to offer. Windows fogged over but it was October after all.

This is the worst cruise you can choose to discover the thousand islands. It's highly expensive and you don't see anything special. I already did the cruise frol rockport and it was less expensive, the cruise was great and even translated in french. This cruise is a shame. If you want to discover the thousand islands take a cruise from rockport or gananoque, not Kingston!

Giving 4 stars because of the band, otherwise it's 3 stars. The first 40 minutes were pretty boring until we arrived to the actual small islands, which were really beautiful. We took the 3hr long ride which seems a little bit long.

The cruise ship does enter Qiandao Lake, but before you and other tourists realize it, it will turn around and go back, so I figure it out. . . Later I saw the guide written by others. I should go to the nearby Gananoque to get on the boat. It is cheap and I will really enter the core area of the lake. Try it next time, eh. A lovely tour around the islands and a splash zone at the front when the water is choppy. The only problem was that the audio guide was too quiet to hear above the children and disinterested Japanese tourists who had no interest in what was being said as it was only in English. Providing alternative languages/mp3s might help.

Great 3 hour cruise. We had a lovely sunny day in April. The cruise took us around the islands, with close ups of some of the amazing homes and picturesque islands. There was seating on the top deck in the open and bottom deck enclosed. We could move between them easily. The middle deck was enclosed and for those having lunch. We ate lunch before we left and brought snacks with us. We bought coffee on board. It was very enjoyable and the live music was great! Loved it. Take care and note that the 1.5 hour cruise does not go to the Thousand Islands so don't confuse the two.

We took the sunset dinner cruise along the St. Lawrence River. We were surprised at the excellent quality of the food and friendly, attentive service. The views along the river were magnificent, especially as sunset approached. On board entertainment was a crowd pleaser.

The cruises are properly and beautifully organized and they offer several packages and options (90 mins, 3 hours, 3 hours with lunch, etc.). The landscape is impressive and does not disappoint - mandatory if you are visiting Kingston!!!!

Amazing boat cruse. Defently be going again. My family and I did the Trolly Tour on Thanksgiving Weekend, it was raining, but we didnt let the rain bother us, we still did all the sight seeing we wanted too in the rain, we also toured Fort Henry, and that evening we did the Haunted Trolly Tour, it was awesome. My 8 year old son even had a blast! I didnt know how he would like the Haunted tour at night, and he loved it!. I recommend this to everyone!

The 90 minutes tour was really horrible, and it was absolutely disappointing as the cruise just went around kingston and we saw no single nice and famous island. If you want a real 1000 islands tour, you should go to Gananoque.

Always fun getting on a boat - and a good way to see more of Kingston. Highly recommend the waterfront tour (1-hr) but families with young kids should expect “melt downs” as play areas on the boat are non existent (and as expected).

We were visiting Kingston for a relaxing weekend and always wanted to go on a lake cruise. The lady at the reception desk explained us what are the differences for each cruise, she also described what is the cruise itinerary, so we knew exactly what to expect from the voyage. We decided to go for the lunch tour - and it was fun, relaxing and informative - the host described the islands, the historical development and pointing to the most important landmarks. The included food was good, fresh, and the offering for additional choices is quite diverse for a tour this size. A special note for the staff, and our gracious server, Destiny - always with a smile on her face and ready to help - people like her make the difference!

I went on their buffet lunch cruise. It was really interesting to see all the cottages and islands. The food was really bad. It was bland and you didn't really know exactly the dishes were. I'm not sure if the servers knew what they were serving either. I'd recommend to not pay extra for the lunch and bring your own food.

We took the three hour cruise around the 1000 islands and enjoyed it very much. It was a bit crowded especially at the front of the ship. They give you history behind the thousand Islands. Be ready for a very loud horn if your are standing on the top deck at the front.

The worst trip I ever had...It is just like a boat trip u would be around the Toronto Island..The one I went at Brockville was better and you would enjoy your money as it is even cheaper.One hour drive further East is worth it. Trust me.we hardly saw like 4 island so what 1000 island?????

I went on the premium cruise (~3 hours long, 5 course meal) with a family member after we decided to splurge today. All of the staff were fantastic, including the singer. We arrived in Kingston without prior booking and the staff who helped us book the tickets were excellent. Jillian was knowledgeable, patient, and exceeded expectations in finding us the tickets we wanted while being cheerful. Our server was also very sweet, she frequently checked in on us and asked us questions about our trip.

This is not 1000 islands. Don’t be confused, you won’t see even 2 islands. Nothing much to see at all. If you have high expectations don’t even bother, if you want just to chill on the boat than it will be a good idea. Book in advance, with the Covid situation all the spots fill up fairly quickly.

Very enjoyable boat ride in Kingston Harbour. The onboard recorded narration is excellent, far removed from the regular, staid audio they have on most tours. This one is an engaging 'conversation' style between the narrator and John A. Macdonald, Canada's first prime minister. Very interesting, holds the listener's interest and offers lots of insightful tidbits on Canadian history. Staff are very polite and friendly. Overall, an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

We took the brunch tour in September 2018: (I DON’T RECOMMEND IT), rude and disrespectful staff some of them I was surprised they work in the tourism sector, food wasn’t good or worth what you pay for. Seeing the islands was good tho. If you plan to do the tour don’t bother buying the brunch package just go eat somewhere in Kingston before/after the tour.

Frustrating situation. Let me preface this by saying that I understand things happen and sometimes you have no choice but to inconvenience people, so I realize it wasnt done on purpose...but... I booked a lunch cruise on the Island Queen (the charming multilevel boat) for my best friend and I as part of a girls getaway for her 50th birthday. I took 2 days off work and booked a hotel room (as its 2 hours away) all around this particular event. At 3pm the day prior I received a call indicating they had to cancel our cruise as the boat would not be in service, and the other lunch cruise was sold out. They stated they could book us on a dinner cruise the following night and we could just pay the difference, or we could just take the sightseeing cruise and they would refund the difference. I'm not a person who whines to scam freebies (honest) but a lot of thought and money went into the planning of this, and to cavalierly have it cancelled with no attempt to compensate for the inconvenience irks me. No discount was offered and no effort at all was made to acknowlege the problem this caused. Maybe they could have offered the dinner cruise the next day at no extra charge, (now, I would have declined as we would have already left for home, but it would have been a gesture that implied some sort of regret for the trouble) or they also could have offered 10% or so off the sightseeing cruise, a drink voucher... something...but no, nothing. I was left with the feeling that their position was, Oh well. Too bad. Sorry about your luck... and that really didn't sit well with me. That said, we took the sightseeing tour. It was a packed boat so we were relegated to the downstairs, snack bar portion where there was poor sound quality on the tour recording, dirty windows, and general shabbiness, but.. meh. Because of this, my friend and I went outside and luckily found a little spot at the back of the boat overlooking the water, where we remained the entire time. The "tour" portion was a waste of time but being on the water was really pleasant, and we ended up truly enjoying the experience for that alone. The boat has a full bar, so we each had a drink, which was nice, and the staff were very friendly. Had we booked this sightseeing tour for itself, it would have been ok, but it was a disappointing substitute for what we had planned. I would recommend it as a tourist attraction but take it for what it is and don't expect anything upscale.

Very professional crew. Detailed and responsible safety talk at the start. Interesting notes about the islands. We did a sunset dinner cruise with wine tasting from Pelee winery which was good. Entertainer so so. Weather was also perfect which helped.
