Here you have the information of real people who know the products of Kimberley Platzl (Tourist Attraction) near Kimberley (Canada).
To this day the business gets a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is really high, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of Plaza.
A great way to see down town Kimberly. Lots of unique vendors which makes the walk interesting and fun. Be sure to have a loonie for the singing cuckoo clock. FYI, Sunday is a slow day in town/at the platzl, and a lot of the stores are closed and or have reduced hours.
Everytime I come here seems more and more places are closing up shop!
I've been going here on vavation since I was a kid. And while the Platzl isn't what it once was (a lot of vacant shops), this past year seemed to show a revitalization and shops are filling up again, which I'm happy to see. The Platzl is always a great place to visit and it still has its vintage charm.
Has lost the bavarian touch
This a quaint mall, with pub, beverage, fresh baking with a limited household and personal shopping, and unique visiting people shops.
Cute, quaint and a safe place for young and old alike.
100% charm. Plan on two hours to wander the shops. More if you stop for food or drinks.
Great place to grab a dinner out. Pedal & Tap, Burrito Grill are worth a visit for sure.
The Platzl is a beautiful blend of modern culture, tradition and art. With quaint features like the beautiful clock (with a yodeling surprise inside) and creative shops like the Moody Bee, Healing Hollow and a good old-fashioned candy store, this place is a priority for any Kimberley visitors. Don't worry about getting in the way of traffic, as the Platzl is closed off to public automobiles. There's plenty to do here for every age group! While some people might enjoy the quilting shop, others might prefer a trip to the automotive store, or the dollar store. Need a bite to eat? There's lots of cuisine types to choose from! If you're looking for the perfect place to spend an afternoon or even a whole day, definitely consider the Platzl!
This was a fun experience lots of fun bars and shops and a big chess board one peice was missing the knight on both sides. We enjoyed playing as the knights in there place so we sid not mind.
The Platzl in Kimberley makes you feel like you are outside Canada on a european vacation. Lots of treats and shops to browse.
I left the platzl feeling like I wanted more. This Bavarian style town centre could be amazing. Keep in mind my visit was during summer months, so a winter visit could be very different.
Has the potential for a beautiful revival. Quite a few storefronts closed up. I really hope it comes back to life!
The Platzl is slowly regaining its past charm as Kimberley rebuilds its economy after the main employer, the Sullivan Mine, closed a few years back. The gardens in the summer are very nicely maintained and there is open ping-pong and large chess available for free.
You can't skip this area when visiting Kimberley. It has some neat shops and attractions and definitely highlights the spirit of the community. It is a bit more lively in the winter during the ski season but still worth a look in the summer, especially in the evenings and during events.
Great shops, good attractions, The Shed is located there. Make sure you stop for a pint.
The platzl has changed so much since the last time we were there, enjoyed some goodies from the City Bakery.
Nice place, has that banff feel
Nice location. Looks like quite a few stores have clised their businesses. Surprisingly everything closes at 4 or 5 on a Saturday, so if you are planning to visit go early. Restaurant options are not bad. The cuckoo clock was ok, not as amazing as I expected.
Beautiful with rich culture.
The Platzl in kimberley is a quaint place to shop. A few places to eat and some nice little stores.
I always enjoy myself when I go
Nice little pedestrian only plaza. Most stores were closed when I was there. Couple nice restaurants and happy Hans who yoddles from his clock. Not much to do other than browse a few stores.
Adorable little square complete with cute stores, yummy eateries and lots of German gifts/food items
Funky little spot in Kimberly to walk and shop and enjoy a meal or drink on the patio. Highly recommend for anyone visiting - especially need to hit up the Moody Bee!
Cool little spot. A collection of shops and restaurants. Sort of a classic pedestrian mall with a Bavarian theme. Wave to Happy Hans for good luck. We stopped at the cheese shop for paninis and the candy and toy shops for treats for the kids. Could spend an afternoon just window browsing if that is your sort of thing.
A nice place to the sunshine and eat ice cream. Get some food and used internet too.
Remember coming here as a kid but now 20 years later it seems kind of run down.
So cool. So comfortable. So friendly.
Nice place to spend an afternoon. Great shops and restaurants.
Lots of great restaurants and little shops. The clock is not to be missed!
Nice Location!
Most venues were closed. Cuckoo clock didn't work. Water feature had no water. Whole experience was very disappointing.
The Platzl in Kimberly has always been the heart beat of the community. Mind you, there are many other great stores and facilities/amenities around the community that make this Cranbrook boy a bit envious. The Platzl is a wonderfully colorful pedestrian-traffic hub for the community and visitors to gather. It offers many great buys in both food, clothing, building supplies, quilting and a veritable cornucopia of stores. The Candy Shop and Snowdrift Cafe has always been some of my favorites. Once home to the gigantic The Back Door there is still lots of great gift things all about. You might get a treat to hear one of the talented buskers pouring their heart our in this Bavarian wonderland with its shaded curving bricklaid pathways. The Waterpark is a fun stop for the kiddies.
Nice little mall in the heart of Kimberley, lots of different little stores all around and they're very proud of the their Bavarian heritage!
There for the Farmers market. Got some cool things.
Nice little car-free urban space. Some really good shops, restaurants and coffee shops. If you haven’t been to Kimberley in the last 5 years, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the changes.
Sure, for me as German a common thing. Lovely cute traffic free, barrier free area where you enjoy live and yourself in a great surrounding. Lovely little stores run by locals, nice live stage for the lo g summer evenings, just nice. Could be bigger but hey, at least they have one.
Great shops and location. A unique experience.
Most amazing place to shop & eat in North America. Also, this is a secret. ????
Very fun place to spend an afternoon! We walked up and down all the shops and found really neat stuff. Plus they have a little water fountain with toys for kids!
Neat pedistran court. Cute with German character. Couple restaurants, coffee and shops and fun clock! Though they clock was hard to hear over the restaurant right next to it.
Friendly, accommodating
Most precious
Okay gonna get real with y'all. I love the platzl. All these stores are so tight and all the cashiers were super nice. The lady in the bee store was sweet and very helpful and the people in the cafe bookshop were super nice and the bumblebee latte was absolutely fantastic. I also bought a super tight pearl jam record and being in Kimberley made me really happy. Tight place.
Beautiful but kinda dead, hope to see this community booming once again
Beautiful, casual stroll in a pedestrian only area. Dogs on leashes, lots of open shops, restaurants and places to check out.
Great walking (no motorized vehicles allowed) outdoor mall. It is actually the centre of Kimberley. A large variety of shops and restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed the toy store, with our little one, as well as the Kimberley bakery. Free parking on the streets surrounding the Platzl makes it very tourist friendly. This is also the beginning, or ending, is the Peak to Platzl trail in Kimberley. The trail goes from the Platzl to the Kimberley ski resort, about 4.2 km in each direction.
Great place to check out and stroll. Great selection of unique shops and restaurants
Nice place to visit with local shops
Fun, quaint center of town.
Pedestrian friendly downtown. Nice vibe.
I like this place. It's all the things that make Kimberley a nice place to visit/live all wrapped into one. Family friendly atmosphere. Cute shops. Accessible. Lots of parking. Delicious food. Doesn't seem too big, doesn't seem too small. Just right. When you can't go skiing, go to the Platzl.
The Platzl is a cool place. It reminds me of a European city and has some really cool shops there. I was surprised at how great the unique shops are!
Heard it was dog friendly. Went to two restaurants with outside seating. One wouldn't seat anyone as they had no staff. The other wouldn't allow the dog. Left dejected.
Kimberly's main street plaza is a perfect small-town alpine experience. A great assortment of shops and the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. Very cool, will definitely visit again.
beautiful
Very neat town square area with absolutely amazing food, outdoor patio areas, coffee shops, gift shops and often live music and fresh local goods
This place has the most unique atmosphere to it. I love this place so much.
Cool place that has a lot of potential. Hopefully it doesn't get too commercialized in the future. Very cute.
If you like to be surprised check it out every few months. The businesses there will likely be different. Some great shops to browse!
Was very humble place
Lots of interesting little shops, great spot to walk your ???? dog.
Nice walking Street in Kimberley. Has the Coo Coo clock there and rock fountains. As well as some unique shops to check out.
Wonderful, pedestrian and child safe shopping street in the heart of Kimberley. Good selection of stores and friendly vibe. Downside is the multiple buildings in very, very poor shape and truly awful parking lot: beware potholes! Nice toilets in the parking lot visitor centre.
The stores in here have really modernized the town and made it a place I like to visit. Great eateries and restaurants line this place and tons of wonderful specialty shops.
Gorgeous! Highly recommended you check this strip out.
Been coming here for my entire life. It has changed and changed and changed. I'm glad to see it coming to life once more. The shops are cute kitschy places with some really cool products. Our Place is our favorite breakfast place!
Wonderful city center for Kimberly. Fun and interesting shops, great strolling.
Too many empty store spaces. It would be better if there were stores that involved activities for families, like an arcade, axe throwing or board game cafe!
A lovely spot to shop and eat!
The Platzl is a great place. Kimberley is the best!
Beautiful mountain town.
Lots of unique shops and restaurants - live entertainment the day we went!
L9ve the atmosphere great people good food a little on the pricey side but all in all a great place to be
When you 'Rock the Platzl' you're the king ???? of the castle ???? ...
Great little stroll. Much like Whistler's stroll or Leavenworth in Washington, only smaller. Many local shops and eateries.
Part of what makes Kimberly great. Very good restaurant and shopping area
A mini glockenspiel in Kimberly
There are a lot of unique little store.
Love this beautiful small mountain town plaza/platzl it's very cute and gorgeous with benches here and there and lovely shops...the reason for removing stars is that for most families the quaint shops are way out of Price point ????????there are too many boutique style shops and sadly the adorable little cafe's close crazy early (4pm!) so a evening stroll for after dinner coffee is out of the question and that's a real shame.
Let's be honest, there's a few shops and restaurants. Worth a look if you're passing through but not much else. Would be better if there wasn't so many vacant shops.
Many places to eat, drink, shop, and play. Surprisingly active with many scheduled events that usually have good music. Happy Hans clock is cute and should be experienced. Museum above the library is a little gem.
Nice outdoor mall with a wide assortment of shops and restaurants.
Its a great place to hang out when open. Not much open before 10 and not much open after 5. Tries to be a tourist place but hrs are restricting.
Everything I am in Cranbrook I haft to stop by Kimberly for a walk. Very nice town.
Love Kimberly. Great food and shopping.
This is a great place. We visited kimberley last Xmas and we had the pleasure to see an elderly man with a walking stick attack a deer in the down town. He didn't come out on top of the fight as the deer grounded him and proceeded to stamp on his bad leg. My kids loved it, will definitely go back.
All kinds of funky restaurants and shops. Pleasing decoration for both men & women. Small town friendly, helpful & polite people everywhere. We will be returning.
A Bavarian style business district full of small and quaint stores. Cheese shops, decor, clothing, restaurants and more.
Very interesting place.
Fantastic little village shopping and dining experience
Has a variety of shops and restaurants. Good mix. Good places to check out while visiting the area in Kimberley.
Cute little section of Kimberly. The Stone pizza place is yummy. There are a few cute shops in the area. Worth a look. My hubby loved the candy shop@
A good place to be
In the middle of a very neat town. Kimberly is a gem
Worth a visit
First time in 8 years going and it was magical to see my daughters faces light up when the Platzl lit up ????
Nice good food nice walk friendly people
If didn't drive, I would have had a jar of German taste beer.
Great afternoon, not many people out.
New shops and restaurants. Nice to see a revitalization!
Lots of wonderful boutique style shops as well as some good coffee shops and restaurants

Super cool place to visit! We have a spot in radium and took the day to head to Kimberly. Lots of little shops to explore. Farmers market if you're here at the right time too.
You got a make this a destination on your trip through the Koots. All the food is great and awesome little shops to keep you busy for hours.
Great little town center. Nice shops and no vehicles!
It has a fairly tall vibe
Love the Platzl. Unique and interesting shops.
Unfortunately Happy Hans seems to have not been available for some reason. It takes your money and then it plays a very quiet song and no Happy hans.
Very nice to stroll through.
Kimberley is a beautiful ski town. So many businesses open to peruse. Good variety of shops from candy and kids stores to mountain gear and kitchen ware. Great antique store.
Always a pleasure to eat at the platzl inn and today was no exception!! The main course was presented beautifully with large portions with great prices! Their signature homemade apple strudel and vanilla custard is still our favorite thing on the menu!!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!
Interesting stores and restaurants looks nice
????
Great area! So many different shops and restaurants that there will be something for everyone. Stores have quality products and local items! Restaurants with craft beer on tap which is always a bonus!
I was born and raised in this town, it's sad to see the state of decay and degradation the Platzl is in. It's no longer Barvarian, it's more like a Prauge ghetto mixed with hipster wet-dreams.
Lots of small little store. Great atmosphere. But also a few empty stores ..and that is sad. Love the restaurants and pubs .
Hard to find Home Hardware and parking was next to non existing!
Gorgeous location, wonderful shops! Great place to spend the day with the family =)
Foot traffic only with amazing shops. Invites people to stroll around and enjoy live music, restaurants and shopping with plenty of room for the kiddos to run around safely
A nice gathering place in the downtown area of Kimberley. There are shops, restaurants, a chess set, and sometimes music and activities in the gazebo.
Definitely requires a visit - cobblestone walkway, lots of interesting shops and restaurants - and a huge, working, cuckoo clock and lots of friendly, happy people
Very quaint and relaxed place to shop. Always find great things
I love the platzl during the medieval festival. My son had a blast!
A great place to be!!????????????????????️♂️????️♂️
