Miss the old days of Cooney Bay in which you were allowed to have fires on the beaches, even drive your vehicle (responsibly, of course) on the beach. Still a good place to bring the family.

The wildlife was nice, but the scenery is what I love the most! It's calm, lots of sand. Just remember to wear your shoes, and keep your kids on as well. I found a couple needles on the beach, must b getting washed down the river from downtown! Sad really, but all in all a wonderful place to have a picnic or just take a walk

Year round adventure destination! Pet friendly . The mouth of the tranquille river is frozen over and safe to walk ok as it freezes solid.

Great place for off leash dog walking if your dog has good recall as there are a few distractions (people, other dogs, birds etc). Mostly sandy but can be muddy in spots. Beautiful views and streams running throughout.

It's an amazing beach. It is actually private property that the owners graciously opens for the public. All I recommend for those who go there is to leave the beach maybe even a little cleaner than you leave it. That way more people in the future can continue to enjoy the beauty.
