During our visit, an exhibition of 70 beautiful and adorable giant puppets of the Théâtre Sans Fil. The Pulperie was badly damaged during the 1996 floods; pity. I recommend the visit. A l'intérieur plusieurs salles où on peut découvrir l'histoire de cette Pulperie mais aussi les œuvres de l'artiste Arthur Villeneuve. Lors de notre visite, expo de 70 superbes et adorables marionnettes géantes du Théâtre Sans Fil. La Pulperie a été très endommagée lors des inondations de 1996; dommage. Je recommande la visite.

Visited this beautifully repurposed pulp mill today to see the 2021 edition of the Zoom Photo Festival. The building is now an exhibit space as well as permanent home to a museum on the history of settlement of Chicoutimi and an exhibit of the quirky paintings (and entire house) of local artist Arthur Villeneuve. Well worth the visit.

Vast and informative Museum just outside of downtown Saguenay. A great place to learn more about the local history. Plenty of photo opportunities. Free parking. There's a fee to enter the museum, but there's plenty to explore without having to go inside. Easily accessible. Make sure to walk down to the bridge on the way in for the classic Instagram shot.

Un peu frustrant, surtout qu'il n'est pas toujours facile de trouver des items de Tintin plus rares. Ce fût tout de même une visite appréciée.

Hee hee. ;) (Original) 3 expositions. 1e Tintin. Je n'étais pas une fan de Tintin et pourtant j'ai vraiment beaucoup aimé ma visite. Le graphisme de l'exposition est magnifique. Très intéressant. 2e Arthur Villeneuve. Je viens du lac Saint-Jean et je ne connaissais pas toute l'histoire de ce peintre naïf. Un grand artiste passionné et persévérant à découvrir! 3e L'histoire de la pulperie. À tous les entrepreneurs qui recherchent de l'inspiration, cette histoire est pour vous. Les hauts et les bas de l'entreprenariat au début du 20 ième siècle. La recherche de fond, la gestion des employés, les intérêts de l'église face au travailleur, les premiers syndicats, le dur travail dans la pulperie et au chantier. Le développement de la région s'est fait de sueur et de sang. À voir absolument! J'y ai passé 3h00 pour les 3 expositions, il faut dire que j'ai lu tous les panneaux. In addition, no indications or arrows showing us where to go. We picked up 3 times in the woods and 1 of those times with a rabid dog off leash running towards us. Very disturbing experience. (Original) L'ensemble du musée était beau visuellement. Les 10 premières minutes avaient un lien avec la Pulperie, mais le reste était une exposition de jeux vidéo, de sculpture et de peinture. C'était intéressant, mais il n'y avait pas vraiment un rapport avec le concept initial. Très décevant pour un site historique si important. Ensuite, le gars/fille à l'accueil était mal informé(e) sur le site extérieur, iel ne savait pas la durée ni la distance du parcours et nous a dit que nous pouvions visiter l'intérieur des bâtiments ancestrales, alors que tout était clôturé. De plus, aucune indications ou flèches nous indiquant par où aller. On s'est ramassé 3 fois dans les bois et 1 de ces fois avec un chien enragé sans laisse qui courait vers nous. Expérience très troublante.
