A small site to visit, community is beautiful. There is Fraser river flowing behind this site, which makes this place worth to visit. Since it's close to Hope, there are plenty of scenaries to enjoy.

Erin Sowerby Greene

Museum was under construction, but employees were very kind and helpful

Richard Griffin

Great history of our province. I believe the should teach Provincial History in our school's o don't think this generation knows anything about the discoveries of gold and the little towns that grew because of it. They teach of other countries and other province's but not not our own province. Sad I think.

Ronnie Fuentes

Small but packed with history! There's lots to see here, from the jail to the old church. There's gold panning as well.

Unlike most museums, this one you can walk right into the display rooms in the tents, and lift up the items if you want. Nothing roped off, interesting info cards, and no one hovering over your shoulder. But the best part, worth the admission, is that you can RING THE CHURCH BELL. I've always wanted to do that.

Susan Steele

Miranda Cowan

Beautiful setting and good homemade food. I could have stayed all day sipped tea.

Kashmir Moorhouse

I have been there and my family history is there, I am wondering who was the lady that owned the house before it was turned into a museum? my grandmother is Sidney Clare and she is the one who brought me there and she was the great grand daughter or grand daughter of the lady who owned the house. I would just like to know who owned the house to help me with knowing more about my family history.

John Bruce

Really nice set up explaining the historic role that Yale had during the gold rush. The displays were well done and told the story well.

Rob S

Didn't have chance to look around much, great church. (My sis got married there.) Restored structures very well done.

Bonnie Chalmers

Spent a great afternoon with 4 kids exploring the area and picnicing. We all had a great time.

Grace Jones

Took a school group to the Yale sight today. It is a really well laid out site with lots of activities, historical buildings, and the proximity to the railroad provides a unique background noise scape. The students enjoyed the day even with the time constraints. Could have spent a lot more time here.

Christina Hopkins

This little town has so much history to it!!! The gold rush and all!!! Drop in and enjoy some ice cream by the post office:)

John Pozer

Yale celebrates it’s history in the 1800’s as a gold rush boom town, and later as a hub for railway construction along the Fraser River. The buildings and the Church are restored and in great condition. The sites were closed (due to Covid, ai think). Yale is very quiet on.a rainy Tuesday in November.

Tony Lazarus

It has sooo much to see. From the old house to the old church next door. I can't wait to get back

Kirk Dewhurst

My wife and I stopped by here on the way to Surrey for lunch. There was a picnic table that we used was close to the front entrance that was nice. Unfortunately the historical site was closed due to COVID because I’m sure being able to get inside would have been great What we could see looks good. We will have to come back another time when it’s open.

Michael Fu

It's a small area. I do like the displays but it's not unlike many of the history museums such as Fort Langley, Burnaby village museum etc. I like the space, it offers lots of places for kids to run, discover safely and I would come back as part of my trip out east, but I wouldn't make it the focal point of my day.

D W

Great bit of local history, you can even pan for gold

Andrey Solo

Very small historical site in Yale fort. there is a small but informative museum over there, good display of tents, where pioneers lived there. Maybe you don't want to drive to Yale just for it, but if you are going north - it worth to stop and spend and hour or more

Cariboo ian

Their website said they were open. Wrong.

Aly B. (alykat)

Tons of history and learning to be had! The staff is very friendly and informative. A must see would be the church as it is the oldest church in BC still on it's original footings.

My husband and I were married at the church here a year ago and used the Ward Tea House for a place to get us girls ready and then the night of our wedding as well. All the staff were very accommodating and the manager Debbie was more than fantastic!! We had a period of the buildings era wedding and they dressed the part as well!! Beautiful photo ops also.

john godfrey

Really liked how inter active it is, especially the tent where you can put on period clothes.
