Beautiful place. I will definitely go again, new favorite place.
Beautiful lake! The small campground is nice, and there's a good sized parking lot for day use. The beaches on that side are rocky, but nice. The huge sandy beach is across the lake, you can drive there and walk down the trail to get to it, or paddle across from the day area like we did. The views here are amazing! The water is pretty cold, but my kids still enjoyed swimming.
Decided to do a bit of an unscheduled trip up Silver Lake Road to do some photography for City Sidewalk Strategy & Marketing and was pleasantly surprised when we came upon Silver Lake. Stopping the Jeep on the east side of the lake we walked down to a sandy section of the shore. Our dogs immediately started playing in the crystal clear water and swimming around chasing dragonflies. Shortly after arriving we noticed a family of three river otter playing on a submerged but protruding log. They were having as much, or more, fun as our two pit bulls. The road was fantastic and very accessible to almost any but the lowest 2WD vehicle. The drive is a bit tedious but the lake is worth it for sure.
Beautiful little lake, nice to paddle, but lots of deadhead/previously logged stumps poking up. A few spots to hang out along the shoreline and the day area has a grassy area with picnic tables. Much of the lake has steep drop-offs fairly close to the shore so not great for kids wading in. Only 25 campsites, a small walk away from the lake, with pit toilets, and no showers.
Beautiful lake very cold still just turned summer, lots of mosquitoes though bring bug spray.
Beautiful!
You have to drive on a gravel road for a few kms before you get to the lake. The road can be a little rough although you can probably get there with any type of car. The park itself is quite small and parking is limited and I found the lake to be small but beautiful and quite serene. There are mountains that tower over and around the lake which add to the beauty of the scene. Occasionally you can hear vehicles travelling on the far side of the lake as there is a road that runs next to the lake. We found a little nook along the trail path that we sat at and enjoyed the view. People were paddleboarding and kayaking in the lake when we were there.
Had a great time camping here. Lots of room for the kids to bike ride. And then we canoed to the other side of the lake and explored the sandy area. I Will come here again
Nice place. Cold water and can be a gong show on the Skagit. But nice
Beautiful and clean day use area. Campground looks pretty nice too.
Small but has everything, not busy, quite and beautiful
Beautiful site, great views, and nice picnic tables. Very pleased!
Nice views of mountains and water from the lake. Washrooms have no tissues availble in the first day. Water from the pump looks yellowish. Not safe to drink. Can used in washing only. But it was a very good place to enjoy boating kayaking had tenting.
A peaceful little day trip. If you pick a nice sunny weekday, you can get out in a dingy for an hour or two and bask in tranquility. Long weekends can get a little busy, but that doesn't make the scenery any less beautiful!
Beautiful lake, very nice campsites. Park area at the lake isn't dog friendly which is a bummer for dog owners.
This rustic park is located about 20 minutes from Hwy 1. Follow directions from the BCParks website. The road turns to a good quality dirt road partway in. The scenery as you drive into the hills is spectacular with rushing creeks, waterfalls, and coastal forest. On the plus side this park has large private campsites that are mostly level with tables and firepits. There is a small lake surrounded by mountains with a 10hp limit and a small boat launch. Perfect for canoe and kayak. The park is small, and the lake is an easy walk. On the negative side none of the sites have power, water or sewer hookup. There are no water taps but there is are hand pumps for drinking water located in the campground area. No showers. No flush toilets just pit toilets. There is only limited hiking available and no playground for children.
Love this place
The Best place to get back and grounded with Nature!
Love this lake, good fishing. Rainbow and steelhead catch and release only. No bait .Wedding band works for trolling, for flyfishing blackwolly and purplewolly works. Camp site is not bad. Can get busy
The day use area could possibly be considered rustic, but it is natural, with clean water and smaller crowds.
Awesome for a day trip. Kayak and paddle board friendly. Quiet. Clean.
Ross lake had a forest fire ???? Thank goodness silver lake had a couple of spots open! I had a fully loaded suv with two dogs on was on vacation! Good times
A few kilometers of gravel road leading up to the lake. Not too bad of a road to get here. I've found this place to be busy everytime I've visited this place. Nice Lake for picnic.
Dirt road to get there. Magnificent preserved lake.
Beautiful Lake nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains
Gorgeous small campsite just out of Hope with great swimming.
Spent the day at Silverlake beach, nice brease lots of famillies with they're kids, lots of spaces every where for a good time.
It's an amazing place to visit. Its beautiful green water lake in the middle of surrounding mountains. Cool and calm lake.
It’s absolutely beautiful lake, but the road is bumpy. If you going with small car it’s hard to drive.
What a beautiful place.
Nice spot. Good for boating but cold for swimming. I liked the campground. Parking gets busy around noon
Lovely lake and creek
It's nice and relaxing. Very tranquil. Would definitely want to go back to kayak. I'm not sure how it's gonna be when it starts to get busy but it's a nice place to go picnic with fam and friends and just chill. We just park on the road and never had a problem. Just know that there's no washroom in the area, atleast to where we're at.
Small lil park but a beaut
Peaceful and quiet ...beautiful spot
Beautiful and serene. Well kept. We had a lovely time here.
Gorgeous lake at a provincial Park and a boat launch. It is worth walking back down the road to the entrance where there is a beautiful stream running over the rocks. It's very serene and peaceful. The road into the park is terrible!! There are some places it's a washboard road, others when there are giant holes and some with rocks jetting out. You can just drive super slow if you decide to go.
Very nice provincial campground with large sites for tenting and good privacy. Beautiful lake for swimming as well.
This place is beautiful and farther down road is ross lake as well
If you get a chance to camp here do it.
Silver Lake is a nice place to see and enjoy thre great outdoors. In summer you can enjoy the beach, and the other times of the year you can enjoy some outdoor sport and activities. Great place for family events too.
Such a beautiful and quiet place, I can't explain how much is it amazing.
Beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains.
Some great campsites, nice locations and well separated by trees. This area and the Skagit River remind me of the Merced river in Yosemite.
Gorgeous view. Pretty chill not too busy. Road has a few potholes but way better then a few years ago.
BEAUTIFUL place for CAMPING,,but it's not FREE to stay overnight. They charge a nominal fee for the maintenance of Restrooms, collection of Garbage and recycling. Firewood is also available with the Ranger on duty. A good approaching road from FREEWAY to SILVER LAKE PROVINCIAL PARK. The CAMPING spots are numbered and on the basis of first come first. You can enjoy the picnic, BBQ and swimming without any charge for day time only.
Pitiful road ,motorhome be very carefull . No water, no dump, no shower, basic toilet , clean place, not worth stopping if you have a RV
Beautiful lake, breathtaking scenery. The lake is freezing, so unbelievably cold. The Park rangers were courteous and the sites were relatively well kept. Would have liked our campfire pits to have been secured, they were above ground and movable. Had a fabulous long weekend here.
It is beautiful and extremely peaceful. We were able to walk down the trail and find a private little beach area for us to lounge at. There isn't a lot of parking but wasn't busy when we went on a Monday afternoon. We went swimming in the water it was cold and so refreshing as it was 35 degrees out. I didn't like the garbage people left lying around. My daughter found some glass in the water. There is also camping there but we didn't check that out.
Beautiful place, but water is cold.
Beautiful, but the day use area is a bit lacking in tables.
Wasn't here at the end of the day on Sunday and wow! Such a magical place to paddleboard at! It's a must-see when near Hope.
Great spot, pretty quite, beautiful lake.
Very nice place Allah gave us every thing .Alhumdolillah
Great place for picnic hike bring you food your dog enjoy life
Quiet and peaceful but the road is rough
Awesome definitely coming back
Camped after the season .... was so quiet and peaceful... i know ill go back same time next year.
Beautiful Lake
Love this park , great camping , clean facility
Well looked after campsite. No beach but beautiful lake and surrounding area. Hiking and rock climbing close by. Wish the trail along the lake was better maintained but still an enjoyable place to spend the night or even just the day.
Stunning lake a short walk away from the parking lot. We went when it was slightly raining so it was pretty quiet. The road up is not easy but my compact car managed fine, going nice and slow.
Well-maintained campsites, and really clean facilities. The individual camp sites aren't as private as I'd personally like, but I'm sure many wouldn't mind.
scenic lake but the lake shore is steep with gravel beach not suitable for kids to play.
Beautiful and quiet. Not many people camping right now
Was disappointed to find out there were several double bookings and unreasonable campers to ungentlemanly work things out. Humans are terrible when it comes to conflict resolution.
Visited on Sep 27th, 2020. Nice and peaceful lake. Not too far from Hope and easy access. Approx. 10mins of gravel road before the lake.
Being in Hope, B.C., rivers and lakes were only about a 5 minute drive to stunning views and peaceful places. Silver Lake was a fun and gorgeous place to visit and sit along their small beach.
Small lake, far from the big cities. Water is warm because I think it is a shallow lake. There is a small beach close to the lake outlet, across the bigger beach. Very quiet place.
Good hopefully the road will be fixed up for the summer after the landslides.
