REVIEWS OF Sandy Cove Beach IN Hope

Shawn Neumann

Beautiful and short hike. A bit steep in places but a nice outing.

Marc C.

Small and hidden. Not a lot of space; however, if you get there and you have this area for yourself, it's nice and tranquil.

Edward Dewijn

Beautiful sandy beach. Nice little hike in. Some spots are steep and narrow so be cautious with little kids. Stop by the hot springs source to learn its history.

Valeria Bogdanova

Nothing outstanding - few lake views.

Uzzi Usman

Not as famous as people make it seem. There all lots of locations to hang out by the beach. The beach is by a water treatment plant, and there’s lots of traffic. Definitely not private enough to not be bothered by groups. …

Justin Krem

Quick little hike not far from HHS resort. The 1st little bit of the hike is somewhat challenging as you need to climb up and over rocks as you hike up a steep grade. Bring some good shoes and you'll have no problems. Once you get past that …

Ewa Chang (SentientDrone)

We'll worth the hike. Alternatively, a lovely little rest spot before continuing the sandy cove/whipper pool trail loop.

Derek U

As advertised. Sandy Cove is a cove, that has sand

Karey Spaulding

Half a mile from the hot springs.1048 steps 1 way (20 mins) Some steep parts but mostly easy. Wear sneakers …

The hoke to get to the beach is not stroller friendly. Somwtimes it requires scaling larger rocks. My 9, 7, 5 and 3 year old (3 y.o. with help) were all able to do it, and is is well worth the effort! Beautiful, quiet, sandy beach!

Jill DufTy

Nice 2-hr adventure nearby the hot spring resort.

Eleonora VI

Beach is very small and when water level is high there is almost no space, but views are amazing!

lig ma

Very hot

Milan Kubik

Nice hike from the hot springs. Small beach with nice sand and shallow water. Good place to get away from the crowds.

Rocky Kahlon

Very clean and quite beach with the only access by a hike, so not many people here, water is clean. Good quite place to enjoy the sun and water on the beach

Mihailo Misic

Good to have a bbq on and to play in the sand.

Wei Kung

The hike is short and sweet; to the cove beach itself is only 15mins normal pace (I timed myself; I am a normal young woman). The steep beginning is only 5 minutes, really not a difficult hike at all)

Albert Lo

Nice little hike. Best to pack a lunch some water and wear appropriate shoes, as this is not a casual hike. When you hit the T junction, turn right and head downhill towards the lake. The trail will take you right to Sandy Beach cove. The …

Charlene Lagyap

Beautiful. Serene. Cold water though.

Karen LifeJourney

Awesome. Bit of a walk to get there. Secluded sandy beach. Great place for a swim.

Ms Bacon

Great little hike, trails well marked, most challenging bit is at the trail head. Very easy, take the Whipoorwill trail after the beach to loop back!

Karl Hansen

Great little winter hike for a sunny day, bring some crampons.

Gordon Baldwin

Quiet little cover away from the cacophony that is Harrison hot springs. The hike is a little more than was expected but with a little scrambling you can do fine. Wear good shoes or boots. You will be rewarded by a beautiful beach.

David Stewart

A scramble and a short hike from Harrison Hot Springs. Well worth the effort

Linda Graham

Awesome beach, good hike... Make sure take your swimsuit... Beautiful place to swim!

Quinn DeGregorio

Love this beach. Very quiet and very nice sand.

There was a butt ton of garbage everywhere people have no respect. Beach was absolutely beautiful though asides from that.

James Roe

Robert Wiebe

Unfortunately extremely smoky but a wonderful walk.

jenny simpson

The trailhead was very hard to find and we had to give up because of our parking time. It would be good for someone to mark the trailhead somehow !!

Katherine Wyman

Beautiful beach! Definitely worth the short but difficult hike out. Don’t miss the loop to Whippoorwill point!

Arash Salamati

this lake is beautiful, summer time for camping, winter time for going to a cabin and having a blast

Achim Klor

The 20min hike is worth taking to this perfect little strip of sand. Water is cool but refreshing on a hot day.

Adi Kabazo

Nice quiet beach after a moderate hike close to town. More: Took the Whippoorwill trail which was classified as Easy on Alltrails but should be classified moderate, if nothing else, to disuade beginners. Physically not challenging but the …

Allen Chan

Great hour long hike. Perfect for kids over 5. Just challenging enough and not too long

Dallas Doerksen

Dont come here its terrible

Tim J Rohwer

Nice hike, the water was high when we were there so not so much sand. It's a simple loop hike if you go clockwise you come down from Whippoorwill Point heading east. Follow the orange marking tape look for the little cove (Sandy Cove). There are some rocky areas you have to scramble up so hiking boots are best. Be careful swimming as the drop offs are steep and the water is cold and glacier fed year round. The complete hike takes 1.5 to 2 hrs.

farid poursoltani

Beautiful place easy hike.

Elnora T. Agustin

We were just heading out to the trail when it started to pour so we were not able to get to the cove. It looks enticing so we will try again next time ???? TIP: Dress for the weather and wear shoes with good grip. Watch out for those exposed roots on the ground, as well.

Helen Ell Tran

Very nice trail and quiet beach.

Dan Mass

Beautiful hike to this oasis.

Linda Ng Thomson

Beautiful beach for picnic 1st 15 mint difficult hire need gd shoe

Constantin Sirbu

Enjoyed the hike, beginning was steep, later it got more gradual. Can't say much about the beach itself, it must have been high tide at the time I visited, water was all the way to the bushes, not much sand left.

Amanda

Very nice! Simple trail through the forest to get there but nice little beach to enjoy the sun without the large crowd

sarah Schmitt

I loved the hike there. Such a pretty view.
