You have to walk for 10-15 minutes to reach at the first tunnel entrance. ???? On your way, you can see a mountainous jungle on your left and the picturesque Nicolum river on your right. ⚫️ The path is smooth and easy to walk with many signs to help on your location and situation. First tunnel is somehow the darkest one and in daylight you need some light to see ahead. Its a beautiful scene as many are flashing their mobiles to see the way. Inside the tunnel is cooler than outside in summer. The feeling is really amazing! ????

The entrance to an extremely popular tourist attraction, and very impressive to see. Expect parking to be difficult, and expect your stopover to be at least an hour, probably closer to two. The main trail is wide and strong, it's the old railway tracks, after all. It is good to walk along even when it's busy. The landscape is amazing, both near and far. For those of us coming from Vancouver, stop in Hope for food. I'd suggest eating in the parking lot as there are no tables on the trails. --You will have to carry out all of your garbage from the trails, too, don't leave it behind!!!-- There are some outhouses where the trail meets the parking lot. They were pretty clean and not stinky; nicely maintained.
