$8 cash only to bring a car in. Weren't allowed to walk in either. Nearest ATM is at the Irving Gas Station in Victoria. Absolutely bonkers that they charge in the first place....but to not even have a nearby ATM is just absurd.

Another gem! Real sand, ocean mixed with a freshwater river; the water is shallow enough to walk to those rocks! We brought a little stove and cooler, there is a net set up for volleyball or whatnot, lots of space. One of the best upkept beaches I've been to--clean outhouses, changeroom, boardwalk, picnic tables. Cost us $5 for the carload and we were there for an entire day. From outer cove it took 80 minutes to drive. Kids are in love with it, and it really is the best spot close to St. John's so far in my books!

Retirement plan is to explore Canada starting with Newfoundland and we've yet to be disappointed. This beach has it all, change rooms, washrooms, gazebos for eating and of course the sandy beach and fantastic scenic shoreline. While there several children were swimming and looked to be having a great time.

Nice clean beach. Easy to access. You can swim in the ocean or there is an area where a steam flows to the ocean. Recommend it for a nice day at the beach

Great beach. Beautiful scenes and if your luck to catch a day with limited wins your laughing. Unfortunate that some people leave their garbage laying around. Staff here are cheerful and great people. Just note that it does cost a little bit of coin to enter the beach. Its cash only. 7$ for a car.

Such a wonderful location!! I grew up in NL my whole life and this is the first time I have seen this beautiful sandy beach.. real hot days feels just like you're on vacation in Mexico???? ???? ???? These pictures are from Saturday, August 8. Great spot for a little getaway for friends and families too. On a beautiful fall day I had the whole beach to myself - so lucky! I would imagine it would be busy in the summer. You can walk a fair distance when the tide is out, and lots of neat things wash on shore. The rock setting makes for a beautiful cove. I could live here!

What a beautiful place for a day at the beach! Only an hour and a half from St. John’s, but a world away from the city. There is an amazing outlet of fresh water into the ocean on the far end which is perfect for kids to swim in. It’s shallow and much warmer than the ocean it flows to. The parking gets a bit crazy and the walk can be long if you’re far out the road. I’d suggest packing light and/or having a little wagon, coolers on wheels or something to tow your stuff in with. It’s only $2.50 a person 12+ or $6/car. Kids under 12 free. Have fun!
