Incredible walk. Especially in spring. The sun scortches you in the dense treeline

Easy path that gets a bit more challenging the further you go. Lots of great views though that are visible before you get to the more difficult parts. A nice little 1.5-3 hour hike depending on how far you decide to go.

This trail was 3.6 km in one way. It was a hot sunny day and we appreciated the shade in the woods and the winds by the coast. Stunning views throughout. A beautifully marked trail, which is not always the case in NL! We came out the Bristol Coast Trail and then took the Back Road to the parking lot. Easy road back, more direct, not as scenic. Glad we did both paths to compare. Very moving tribute to Quinn and victims of intimate violence that wakes the viewer up. Not a safe world for Indigenous women and other women. A wonderful hike on a hot sunny Sunday.

Did the Pirate’s Path trail walk in Hr. Grace NL today , July 31, 2020 . Perfect weather for a hike - started foggy/ overcast and .18C ... had our 2 dogs with me ( a GS and big Golden ). Found the uphill muddy path a little slippy and prayed didn’t fall/ get dragged by dogs on leash. Well marked trail. Great views of steep ocean looking down and good visibility at various sites through wooded area. Big/ mud wasn’t fun on my poor hikers and the Golden looked a bit worse for west by time we made it back . Trail would have been more fun without the GS pulling the entire time ( left arm now longer than right arm at this point I’m pretty sure!) Brings lots of water for humans/ dogs! Great benches to sit on for a spell . Enjoyable trail !
