We've got the opinions of people like you who buy the services of Treetop Trekking Hamilton (Tourist Attraction) in the territory close to Hamilton (Canada).
At present this firm receives a score of 4.6 over 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the top, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the evaluation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of Adventure sports center.
this is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this, and it was a blast! I came for my birthday with three others, and we spent the afternoon there and did all the courses. The staff was very upbeat, informative, and helpful. The washrooms didn’t work. And there was no running water, but the park had them if you walk an additional 5 more minutes. I would Suggest that they start selling water too, but we settled for ice cream. I would highly recommend this for any age, they have something for everyone. We’ll be back!
It's a fun activity and some parts are quite challenging (mentally!), plus wobbly. The obstacles are not as high as other sites I have visited, and the zip lines not as long. The final course has the best zip line, across the lake. The place is a little crowded and you get stuck behind slow moving people.
Staff there are very friendly and patient with kids. We arrived late and they managed to get kids put on the safe equipment and onto the trees quickly and safely. The park itself is absolutely beautiful. Useful tips: do not purchase parking ticket if you are in the park for the treetop trekking.
Fantastic experience for the whole family! Went with husband and 2 kids, 14 and 10, and did the Zipline and aerial game trek. Some of the courses were a bit tough for my 10 year old but the guide was there to help. We only did 4 courses since the 5th is advanced and the minimum age for that is 12. In any case I was done by the end of the 4th course! It was a full 2 hour 45 min for us. I’d agree with other reviewers to being gloves, either workout or thin wool/cotton gloves as the cables can chafe the skin. Be prepared to get a great workout.
I enjoyed my experience climbing way back when Tree Top first opened that when I saw summer job postings I was excited to apply and have an outdoor part time job. I received an offer and was transparent with my avaliability. However, I have followed up by emailing Jen and called about getting further information and unfortunately have received no follow ups about my inquires and next steps. I am unclear why there is this disconnect in communication. I hope this can be worked on for other individuals who want to apply and join in the future so they do not get this experience. I believe staff management and new recruitment from this experience can be improved. For example, asking for individuals availability prior or at the interview rather than giving individuals an offer and asking them to fill out an interview package with that information. I recommend Tree Top as it is a great place to be active, outdoors and to try something new. However, disappointed in my experience with the hiring process.
Nice! We did the aerial course and it was great. It has five separate courses which means there is a chance to pass slower people between the courses, which is good because it’s very frustrating to be stuck behind someone at other treetop climbing places where there is no chance of passing. There courses are creatively designed and took about 2.5 hrs to complete including a 30 minute orientation session. The last course is for 12yrs and up FYI - a bit of a disappointment for my 9 year old who could go on the rest of the courses but we weren’t told upfront that she couldn’t do the last course and had to find out there and then. Please communicate this better. Still, definitely 5 stars review, the staff was good and we had an overall great stay. We tried other treetop courses in southern Ontario and this was the best by far.
We had a blast, it was a lot of fun and I really liked how the courses progressed in difficulty. Definitely recommend!
Great staff! I felt too unwell to continue the course (like I was about to faint) so they got me the help I needed. One team member came to help me down and they made sure I was okay and they told me what they we're doing to get me down. I can't remember their names but they were awesome! I recommend going, it's a beautiful area
The kids (ages 5 and 9) loved playing at the Treetop Village.
This was our second time coming here and thus time we had extended family with us. Everyone had a blast and we had great service. One of the guides even lent us equipment to attach pouch with EpiPen to harness, as one of my nieces is allergic to bees. Very nice!
The place has no guidelines or instructions of what to expect. Neither online nor in person. For a person who doesn’t exercise, in the heat, it was nearly impossible to complete the 5 courses. They don’t advise to take water inside which is a must! Overall experience is very meh and not worth the money and travel from the city !!
It was a lot of fun to go treetop trekking. There are numerous courses available, and each level (number) increases in difficulty. In addition, certain courses are difficult. It took a lot of effort to complete all of these courses. It is suitable for both children and adults. Perhaps you should go for a walk in the park. For the ropes, Gloves might be a good choice. Last but not least, there's the one where you zipline over water.
So much fun! Amazing place and people.
We had to leave as virtually no-one was wearing masks in the tree walk. Tree top did what they could but as it's technically outdoors it's people's choice to wear masks or not and not required by law.
The advanced course is truly awesome. Many zip lines and a great team there!
It was my first treetop trekking and ziplining experience and it was awesome. It is completely safe and sure it’s a thing to experience in life. They even have courses to engage kids as well as courses for the adults. Worth the time and money spending. It’s also a good physical activity for the body. Definitely looking forward to go next summer.
Fun, exercise, outdoors just all the best things
Very cool place for kids.
Good times for kids, friendly staff.
Fun and challenging for all ages. Reasonably priced. A variety of challenges throughout the 5 different courses. A good mix of wobbly challenging ropes mixed with easier passes ???????? ???????? Located within Binbrook Conservation area. So you can make a wonderful day of it. Bring water, snacks & food! High quality equipment and construction. It felt 100% safe & secure throughout. ???????? Orientation could be run more efficiently. We had a large group (probably typical) of what seemed like 30 people. The instructor seemed annoyed our kids (9 & 10) needed one on one instruction to get started. ???????? Arrive early. Like an hour early. We arrived 30 minutes early (as advised). It took an hour into our 3-hour session to harness our large group, run thru orientation and have everyone go thru the test course ???????? Overall, recommend for a fun day and would return.
Kids had an absolute blast on the tree walk village. Friendly staff, well organized. I'll definitely be back to try the main course.
Great experience at the Hamilton Treetop Trekking. All the guides that work this course were phenomenal, and encouraging. I would recommend this course to my friends and family. Special shout out to Jen and Teran(sp?) the lead guide.
The park courses were challenging and fun, however, we visited this past Sunday afternoon and I don't think a single person working was over the age of 22, and it showed. The course "supervisors" were on point on the first couple courses, but at the 4th course, the supervisors were literally standing around talking to each other and not paying any attention. A couple girls at the top of the 4th course zipline took selfies for 5 minutes while everyone stood around waiting in line to go up - WE (the PAID GUESTS) had to tell these girls to get a move on before they went off. Further into the 4th course, someone got injured near one of the last few obstacles; no staff were around to help for at least 15-20 minutes; some kids ahead of us were getting upset and complaining as they were stuck, and the staff who did finally show up to help the injured guest allowed a middle-aged woman just ahead of us to verbally harass the kids for complaining about the hold up. My family once again had to tell this woman off of these poor kids - disgusting behaviour for a woman of this age, but even more frustrating is that park staff said NOTHING to her. I can't believe that in a place where someone could experience serious injury - not common but a possibility when you're exploring up in 40 ft trees on just a cable - there was no proper adult supervision in place. These kids were just trying to cruise through the rest of their shift and could have cared less about the guest experience.
Awesome experience
Safe adventure for kids???? and adults.
Nice and unique experience. The #5 advanced trail is out of my expectation though...way too hard compared to other ones.
Amazing! Our guide was phenomenal
My kids did the discovery course. Only issue I had was the zipline part. My daughter forgot to put her feet down approaching the end and if you don't you run smack dab into a tree. There should be a mat or some sort of protection on the tree so if that happens your not likely to hurt yourself as much. After that happened her back was all scrapped up and she wanted to immediately leave. Thank God she hit her back and not her face. Other than that the course is nice and not too challenging.
Congratulations and a job well done to the staff and at Treetop Trekking Hamilton. Completely professional, most accommodating and helpful. As someone who is involved with safety, I give this facility a 5 Star for the safety harnesses, knowledgeable staff and the general safety along the Game. I'l be back!
Just spent a couple hours at the tree top village. GREAT play area for kids 2.5-8. lots of paths 3 big slides, even an obstacle course. Lots of shade and lots of seating for snacktime. Clean space too. Staff all friendly. One big plus, is you gain access to the park after you are done your session. Would come again!
Fantastic challenging and doable for 60 somethings!
Lots of fun and physically challenging. Good value.
Booked my kids and a friend for the discovery center. All kids aged 6-7. It was a great time. They had an hour and a half to go over the two courses. Not too crowded. Would definitely return
Had an amazing experience here! Took him for our one year anniversary and it’s defiantly a full body pump if you do all 5 courses! Loved the height and the obstacles! A beautiful day in a beautiful location!
Fantastic place especially during pandemic.
This place is so great! Thanks a lot to a friendly staff and allowing us to complete a full course even if were 40 mins late, great customer service! Kids had a great time definitely.
Greg, the manager always makes sure we have the best experience.
We went in the kids zone and that was very nice, very well made and the 2 hours allowed is plenty of time! I would go back!!
Brought kids age 3-4 to the Treetop Village, and they had a blast!
Fantastic
Great experience, felt a bit pricey.
Fantastic staff! Fantastic experience! Very impressed! Special thanks to Emily for being so patient and amazing with our littlest family member. Highly recommend treetop trekking.
As our first tree top trekking experience, my husband and I had a great time. The guides were friendly and fun. There was a variety in the courses (we did the zipline aerial trek). My arms were sore by the end but I have weak arms :) Stretching before and after is a good idea.
Very well run, friendly and fun. We went with our family of 4 and had a great day. Thanks for the great time!
My kids had a great time here. My son was old enough for the adult course, and I daughter had a blast on the kids course. Amazing time.
Cool concept, however There was not enough instructors for the amount of children that were in our timeslot for discovery…instructors were young and tried their best and did a good job but they did leave out a lot of stuff that is needed for young children to understand. Unfortunately we had to leave as my son kept getting his cable stuck and did not enjoy it. My nephew went down the zip line and cut his finger as he held on to the rope at the top again he did not get instructions not to hold the top. Also there’s a ton of mosquitoes and We were bit like crazy. Definitely Use bug spray if u go.
Excellent place for physical training and buildup confidence and coordination. Awesome.
We had a blast! Will be returning and recommending for sure! The 4th course was a bit difficult so we bypassed the 5th but it will give us motivation to come back and try again....the staff were amazing...so helpful and friendly...Thank you for the fun experience!
Not as much variety/creativity in obstacles as some other aerial courses, but good variety in difficulty levels. Very friendly staff and not too busy because of their booking limits.
Really fun place with very interesting obstacle courses. There are 5 different levels to try at this particular site, and they each get progressively harder. For level 5, one of the guides came along with us (I guess because they were almost closing for the day and didn't want one of us stranded up there after dark. Lol). It was nice to have the guide come along for added assurance. Thankfully we didn't need to use his rescuing skills. In order to do level 5, you have to make sure you get to that level before 4:30pm as they want to make sure you are able to complete it by the time they close at 5:30pm (and for good reason because the sun sets quickly in Oct/Nov). There is also a separate area for younger children. Safety protocols are followed here with disinfectant spray used on hands at the entrance of each level, and the 2m apart rule applies to anyone who is not within your party. They provide the harness and helmet to you (covered with the cost of ticket) but it is highly recommended that you bring a pair of warm and non slip gloves because the obstacle course can be rough on the hands.
Great! I enjoyed with my family ???? have lots of fun ????????
Such an awesome place! They had 5 main courses which gradually increased in difficulty, lots of ziplining, fantastic experience.
I had a lot of fun, my partner and me did the Zip Line and Aerial Course. I was super concerned it wouldn’t be worth the price, but it totally was. I 100% plan to go and try another site.
That Ben guy in treewalk village is a real hunk
This place is amazing. I went with my brother for zipline and aerial trek. I like to stay fit and was expecting a decent workout with some outdoor adventure. This place exceeded my expectations. The staff is very friendly and encouraging. Really loved level 5 as it started raining and the logs got slippery to make it even more challenging. It is beneficial to have some sort of gloves, doesn’t have to be any special climbing gloves. But I did it without gloves and didn’t find much difficulty either. Apart from that, make sure you have nice trekking shoes as you will want to make sure they don’t slip while you are jumping from log to log. Zippered pockets to keep your belongings like keys and phone so that you are not worried about dropping them and losing them.
This is a good activity for kids and for adults who aren't used to spending lots of time outdoors. Our group of four 20-30 year olds today found it just so-so. The staff are friendly, but there are only 5 courses. 1-3 are very easy and mostly you waiting for the group ahead. Courses 4 & 5 are more challenging, yes we sweat, but we didn't find them particularly fun. There's a lot of admins and structure which will help kids and families feel reassured, but we felt a bit smothered.
Took my nephew and he loved it. Can't wait to come back.
Reviewing for the Treewalk Village only. Treetop Trekking opened in June 2019. The Village is general admission and essentially a playground of treehouses, slides and low ropes course for the 4-6 year old set. Our kids loved it. The houses are nightly painted with connecting aerial rope bridges. Multiple entries and fun slides, shady picnic tables and one gated entry make this an ideal place for parents or caretakers to let the kids play safely and freely. And surprisingly, there are not many mosquitos. I was also thinking this would make a great "work space" for working off-site. Bring a Cellular enable device, seated at a shady picnic table and let your kids play safely enclosed.
Best adventure place to visit with adventurous friends♥️Even though I thought I would fail in the orientation level somehow I and my crazy buddies managed to pass level 5 which is the most and hardest one????????
Very professional and awesome staff that know what they're doing and how to respond quickly and safely if anything happens while you're up there. Awesome course with lots of cool obstacles and ziplines. Definitely gonna have to come back one day ????
What a fun filled 3 hrs of exercise. Lol thank you to the staff for the care and attention in preparation of our fun. We will be back.
First time here with family. We all had fun. My youngest went on the discovery session and elder on the adventure Aerial. The aerial is tiring and you need upper body strength to cover all levels. The staff are awesome, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.
We did the tree walk park today for ages 3-6 I think and it was just okay, it’s good for small kids but I would recommend putting a small zip line in it and maybe some more advanced activities. My kids are Ages 4-6 and I found it a bit too easy, they were done after 40 mins or so but they were too young for the Discovery Park. It was a bit overpriced and a long drive from Toronto. Make sure to wear closed toe shoes ????????♀️ I walked out of the house with only sandals. They almost turned me away.
Excellent experience! A must go at least once! Very safe and enjoyable.
A lot of fun for kids and adults. Kristen at the booking desk was super helpful.
Cool spot, lots of different courses!
My son was amazed with the experience!
Serene place
Equipment in excellent condition. Staff very helpful and encouraging. Had a blast with the family.
Lots fun
My kids 10 and 8 enjoyed the discovery treetop track. It has nice obstacles and a zipline at the end. The only downside is that there are only 2 tracks and in a 1.5 hr time the kids did each track 4-5 times. It would have been even better if there were multiple levels or 4- 5 different tracks. Otherwise the staff was super nice and friendly and very cooperative and did their best to make the trekking memorable and fun for the kids. Also it was very easy to operate and safe for the kids.
Not as challenging as other locations and slow due to how the order the climbers. Didn't ask for experienced climbers to go first so had to wait everywhere. Covid restrictions didn't help the delays but that's not the primary delay. Had to wait 30 minutes for fourth course.
We had a wonderfully challenging time!!! It allowed us as a family to push and test our abilities ???? Staff was more than helpful and we're always available to assist with any issues. Highly recommend as a family activity!!!
Had the most fun with my son and husband. The weather was cool, so dress appropriately but we really enjoyed the independence and the opportunity to explore the courses. We were able to complete four of five courses, the last one being out of reach for our almost 11 year old.
We went there last Saturday. It was our second time going tree top trekking and the first time in this location. The place is cool and their courses are challenging. We went to the Brampton one too (previously considered the best) but this one is pretty good if not the best. Only issue was finding the location, the address on the website doesn’t take you to the right place, just follow the signs for the provincial park and you will get there. One advice, bring gloves, and don’t use short shorts and use a sleeved shirt otherwise you will have bruises and blisters in your body. Super recommended
It's a challenge and at the same time a great activity for families or groups of friends. The staff is great. It was a great experience
Exception customer service. They have the cheapest prices in Ontario. I always feel satisfied on all the services they offer me. Great place to shop for a car.
My wife recently booked a treetop adventure in Hamilton. We drove out to Hamilton, and received a phone call when we got to the parking lot. The person on the phone told us that our session was canceled for the day, due to weather, and needed to be rescheduled. My wife and I called a week later after receiving nothing from Treetop Trekking, and asked if we could get a refund, as our credit card had been charged. The person on the phone said that they won't refund us and we have to reschedule. We live far from Hamilton, and made a special trip for that day. We had no intentions of making another trip to Hamilton for this, seeing it was them that canceled and not us. Seems COMPLETELY unreasonable that we can not get a refund, as it was not us who canceled. This is not how you keep customers, and I will definitely let everyone know how we were treated. I WOULD NOT recommend this company, because a company in the service business should be able to accommodate guests, when it was out of their control. Completely unsatisfied, and will never return!
Daughters 6th birthday party. Great place to let the kids run free
Today was my first time. The staff was knowledgeable and so helpful. We only made it through the first 4 courses. I was really excited to do the fifth but it was a bit of a wait and honestly I was pretty wiped. Awesome how each course goes up in difficulty. I will definitely be back with the rest of my family!
Great place unless they cancel your confirmed booking. Do not let your kids know of your plans or they might end up being terribly disappointed
Tons of fun!
First time. Had a great time. Instruction was clear but might be good to have a reminder before each zip line, I could see someone forgetting a step. Courses were fun and challenging. Unfortunately a thunderstorm rolled in before we got to start the 5th course so we didn't get to finish. But we will be back to finish and then we want to try all the others!!!
Went with a friend and we took our 5 year olds. It was EXCELLENT. The treetop village alone is worth a visit there and they had 2 hours to explore it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and one young man name SAM who worked the kids Discovery Course was particularly helpful and extremely patient with our struggling 5 years olds. It was fun and challenging and the kids loved it!! We will visit here again and again!
Love this place! And so do the kiddos! Great staff, so helpful and kind!
Great outing for the family. Building confidence in kids is critical and this is a good way to do it! Check online as to which activity you wish to do. We did the Treetop Zip Line Aerial Game. Check in was easy, we had booked a time slot, which I would recommend since it can be busy. CAA members can get a discount (10 % I believe), and there are some online coupons too. Equipment is in good shape (harness and helmets), maybe bring gloves to help the hands. Instructions during orientation were clear and concise. Course guides are helpful if you have any concerns/questions. The course starts easy to more experienced. We are not experienced at all doing this but moved up as our confidence grew. My child is petite, just made the cut of 55”, so I was worried that the course would be too challenging. Able to do it beyond my expectations, I was blown away! We had a great time as a family, encouraged each other, built confidence and had some great laughs too, even if I was the brunt of most of those laughs!
Great family activity
Lovely place for family with small children
Great experience! Kids loved it!
Fun place for tree trekking but they don’t know how to do crowd control when there’s congestion. At the start of the fourth course where climbing is required, had to wait more than 20 mins to start. At the end, just so so.
My daughter and 11yr old granddaughter had a great time doing the courses. Great scenery while doing the challenges. My granddaughter wants to work there.
We had a blast, did all 5 courses then did the difficult ones again until we were tired. Highly recommend coming here.
I usually go to the Brampton location (which I also love) but the cool thing about this one, you can always feel the courses getting harder! Definitely more of a challenge! Good luck on the last course ????
Was at the lake .. not tree trekking
Great thrilling and physical experience. Place is well run. Great for ages 10+, I wouldn't come with younger children. If you go when it is really hot prepare to sweat like crazy, bring water! It is a nature experience so you cannot be surprised that there are bugs and weather!
Staff were friendly and it was so much fun climbing and ziplining around. As a group of adults we had plenty of fun
The staffs were so nice. I booked a wrong level for my daughter and they adjusted it for her and she got a fantastic experience for the first time! We are planning to visit there this Friday in a higher level. So excited!!!
Great fun! Can be physically demanding but we'll worth it!
The workers are not helpful for kids ,too fast of instruction for kids. The cables get stuck a lot. It frustrating for a kids.
Fantastic (and challenging) experience. We did the aerial course. The 10 year old loved it. I found it kinda hard but super fun. Had to write a review because of the staff. They are all excellent - friendly, encouraging and helpful from the people at check in to the guides at the course. Highly recommend this experience.
A wonderful outdoor winter adventure/play place for kids and adults a like. Our 6, 5 and 3 year old had a total blast! There are bathrooms on site and snacks for purchase. Highly recommend!!
Awesome workout, bring snacks or sandwiches!!
Place was good, staff was friendly
We did the treetop village with our 2 and 4 year old, it was a 2 hour slot. Was very fun for the kids, but I felt after 1 hour they got bored, it is very repetitive course and you would expect more for the price you pay. There is bugs and the ground is muddy, so wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Adults can go on the course also and it was fun. There is a splashpad and beach 2 minutes away, which is free to the public. Kids had more fun at the splash pad, the hours for the splash pad i think from from 11am to 1pm and then 3pm to 5pm..i would call to confirm. .... do not use the washroom @ the treetop there were porta potties and they were filthy and digusting. There is a proper washroom next to the splashpad on the left. There is no food or resto's in the area, so come prepared with snacks and water, the kids will get tiered. there is picnic tables in the treetop village to put our stuff down.
Fantastic day at Treetop trekking! Staff was wonderful and the courses are a blast! Will definitely be returning.
It's nice place for kids play here.My daughter like to walk between trees.
8 y/o really enjoyed it
We (2 adults) had a blast with this course. It is challenging but the guides give you very clear instructions before you start and check in with you after each level. The price was great and covid restrictions were not a big deal. Wearing leather or padded gloves would be helpful as the cables can rough up your hands and then the manditory hand sanitizer on top of that stings. They did a great job keeping the integrity of the conservation area intact and it was very peaceful and beautiful in the trees. We look forward to doing it again.
Absolutely delighted with the staff at this park. Taren (I hope I got the name right) was our guide, very kind and helped us along the way. Very attentive and encouraged us to keep going. The staff at the front desk, greeted us nicely and at the end gave us a warm goodbye. I couldnt get their names but they are splendid employees. Definitely recommend coming for the day with friends.
Was having a great time until we were told we could no longer keep going...watch what time you come as they close at 545...our appointment was for 330....add in the orientation and we were on our way by 4...there is 5 courses with the last being the most fun..by the time we waited our turn it was 600 as we were headed to course 5. I paid for 3 hours and I say if you cant give me 3 hours then you should not book past 230 start time...I feel ripped off
What a fantastic experience! I went on a GPS rally with a group of friends, and I will definitely be back! We had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Our guide/ facilitator, Emily K, was professional, friendly and gave us some great tips for navigating successfully. Highly recommended for most ages - younger kids may not be into the riddles, but would have a blast searching for the containers and using the GPS!
Amazing experience. I can't compare it to others as this was my first but it was an amazing experience. Slightly more tiring than expected but was still fun. Side we went with a big group, we took the full day package so they had tons of fun activities to do in the morning. An amazing place to be.
Real challenges!????
The activities are fun! But don't go there if they have too many people. The staff was not allowed us to go to the Fourth and Fifth courses, because they think we finished last three courses too slow. But we stuck on the tree to wait the group before us to finished and its took sooooooooooo long, and they didn't care about it. They have too many people in there at same time. If other groups are delay, you have to wait on the top and need to take the risk for not going to higher level courses.
Great experiences..
