We have played close to 15 escape rooms at this point and this was one of our favorites. The puzzles were fun and innovative and the clue system contributed a lot to our overall enjoyment. The staff were quite engaged. I look forward to seeing what they come up with in their other rooms. We were playing with 4 players and there weren't many lulls in the action.

Went here for my birthday to do the Genie's Lamp room - the staff here are welcoming and creative in their set up and delivery of the room, my group and I were very impressed with the thought and work put into the room itself as well as the puzzles! Beautifully done, the store front is also amazing in that there are so many interesting things and works of art to look at! We had done some escape rooms before from different companies, and felt that we were challenged with the puzzles from this room just the right amount :) Thank you FantEscapes for an awesome birthday, can't wait to see what you do next!

SO MUCH FUN!!! We loved the theme and the story happening throughout. There was lots of challenges for our group of 6 people to all feel involved. The little store out front with lots of Harry Potter trinkets, and steampunk stuff was also very cute.

Such an amazing experience! I have done many escape rooms in the past and this by far was my favourite!! The room was well set up and it was very apparent that there was a lot of thought and planning put into it! Staff were super nice and very professional!! My friends and I are planning on returning to complete the room we didn’t do!!! Highly recommend!!!!

One of the easiest 5 stars I've ever given. The amount of thought that clearly goes into the rooms was tremendous. Everything was so well done. From the decor, to the puzzles, to the technology behind the rooms. The staff were also incredibly enthusiastic and passionate about the experience. If you have free time in Guelph or are looking for a fun and challenging activity, Fantescapes is an absolute MUST. Fantastic experience.

The room was very creative and well thought through. It was interactive (with the game master) and incentivised with a reward system, which I thought was neat! You could "buy" hints and the puzzles were all fun and solvable. We were with a range of ages (10 to mid-40s) and we were all involved and all figured out different puzzles and riddles. Tons of fun and I would definitely recommend it to friends. I just wish they had more rooms (I'm not sure if/how often they change up the room), because now I can't go back until they do!

An out of town visit to Guelph for a birthday led us to doing an escape room and dinner to cap off our day, and so glad we chose Fantescapes. A warm welcome at the door to go through the safety protocols for Covid in an entertaining manner set the tone for the whole experience. The guys clearly love what they do here, and did everything they could to make sure we loved it too. The room was well laid out, high quality materials, cool story, tough but solvable puzzles, hints on demand. They even dropped a birthday card into the room after they found out we were celebrating! Did we make it out with a successful mission? Nope, but we sure were close and had a ball failing! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a fun night out, whether you’re escape room pros or first timers. Awesome night out!

An amazing experience with a nice twist to escape rooms with the ever present and omniscient genie and the score system you can use for hints. Well decorated rooms that immerse you in the puzzle. Incredible experience, could not recommend enough.

My friend and I decided to try out this room and we were very glad we did. The guys running the place were very nice and extremely helpful. The room was super fun and very well made! A lot of creativity went into it to make it challenging and fun at the same time. I highly recommend this room to anyone as I think it's probably the best escape room I've ever tried out :)

One of the best escape room joints I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Unbelievably friendly staff and a wonderfully inviting lobby. Their escape rooms are incredible. No puzzles are unfair, but they can get difficult. This just adds the excitement of solving the puzzles. The thing that sets FantEscapes apart from other escape rooms it's the scoring system. I won't spoil it here, but FantEscapes two (three?) rooms are not to be missed.

For puzzle lovers, this is worth a trip to Guelph on its own! Lamp of the Genie is a lovingly produced room, filled not only with solid, interconnected puzzles, but a rich and unique theme. The room manages to create a genuine sense of curiosity and wonder, with a pleasant dash of camp, that perfectly evokes the old puzzle adventure games the escape genre rose from. If you appreciate some clever puzzling, I can't recommend Fantescapes enough.

Kudos to the owners for putting together an immersive and different experience! I have done a lot of escape rooms in many different cities - the setup was really interesting! We enjoyed the Genie room until the very last clue - there were 8 of us and no one understood it until it was explained by one of the owners (the other one couldn't explain it because he didn't understand it). All that said, the end of this game took away from the fun that we had because even our other seasoned escapees didn't understand the final clue. We were told that less than 10% of people get to the final clue due to difficulty level of the room, and less than 10% of people understand the final clue. Therefore, 1% of people have a shot at escaping - not fun for us. I think there is a lot of possibility with this game, especially if the end clue is altered - make it challenging AND achievable. Loved the men who run it, we all had a great conversation before and after the game! Would try another one here if they open it. :)

Amazing escape room experience coupled with great staff. The entire experience start to finish was enjoyable. The room is very well themed and the puzzles varied in difficulty and type (logic, visual, spatial) keeping the game itself very interesting. Can’t wait for their new game to be ready will definitely be back

If you are looking for immersion you will not find it here. The room consisted of mainly puzzles and riddles and lacked hands on work. It was disappointing, and ended up being more frustration than fun. This being our 5th escape room experience, we were not expecting this to say the least. Long drive and waist of money.
