We went to the fabulous Montreal Guitar Trio organized by the GPLT and it was spendid! We say in the balcony, and we will seek out these seats again, as there are only two seats per row! Fantastic view of the stage.

Though listed on google as a movie theatre (and it does show movies during the Film Fest), it is first and foremost a playhouse. When there are plays on, you can often get dinner and a play on a weekend. Like every play, some are good, some less so, but the Grande Prairie Live Theatre is a nice place to go for the evening and get some local culture!

I have attended two production at this theatre over the last 6 weeks. Both were amazing and staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone should try at see the present production , The Spelling Bee.

I love going to a live performance. I love it even more when I can see the whole stage, and the seat that I had, didn't make it possible. I wasn't able to see parts of the play, because of my seat unfortunately. If you plan on coming here, and up on the balcony is where you want to sit, I do not suggest the 3rd and 4th aisle seats, as you cannot see through the people in front of you, unless you tower over them.

Horse Trekking Adventures

We took our grandkids (ages 10 & 8 yrs). They were completely memorized throughout the whole performance. Fun to see their reaction to the live theatre. We had a great time!

Great theatre for the size and the volunteers do an amazing job. The only drawback are the seats; they are uncomfortable and there is not much room between the rows so be prepared to be sore at the end if the show.

Tiny theatre. Big community. Whether you are going to enjoy a live action play brought by GP's best talent or watching the amazing film adaptations of the yearly film festival or Frantic 48, you can feel great knowing how much time, effort, and local talent goes into this theatre! The seats are comfortable. The aucustics are excellent. The little snack bar is quite decently priced and the balcony has an actual bar! I know of so many great people who got their start renting out this little theatre. It's no wonder so many local businesses invest in it. Every time I visit it is a delight.
