I've been coming here since my freshman year at university back in '08. They've always been such a welcoming place for all ages and experience levels. Whether I'm socializing, or just want to chill out and work away at a piece that I need multiple sessions to finish, the owners are always so kind and welcoming when they see me. It's one of the best little gems in downtown Freddy.

Locally owned pottery cafe in fredericton offers really cool designs to paint your own. It doesn’t require you to have a previous experience of painting. They have almost 300 different kinds of pottery pieces like mugs, bowls,vases etc. to paint. This is really a good place to continue your hobby or developing a new one, a unique and creative place for meeting friends and also a good stress buster activity. Process is quite simple as follows: 1. Pick a design which you want to paint and pay for it on the counter. 2. Choose your colors from the paint bar. 3. Apply 3 coats of the colors to get good results. 4. After you are done with the design, hand it over at the counter. 5. They will do the glazing and remaining finishing on your piece and it is ready for pick up on mentioned date by them. We really had a good time here. Would love to visit again, if i will come to fredericton next time.

This is my favourite place to go to relax and be creative, spending hours painting and snacking(pre-COVID times). Myself and my daughter have many treasures that we have painted here. It is “our spot” to spend quality time together. There are many bisques to choose from, everything from mugs, plates, switch plates, vases and other Knick knacks. There is always seasonal items to paint (Christmas, Easter, Halloween) also a discounted shelf with items with some kind of imperfections, but most times once painted, hard to notice. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Fun place for all ages. November 23 2021 UPDATE: just want to mention that Covid-19 safety measures are being followed at the Cafe. Hands must be sanitized upon entering, masks must be worn, and distancing must be followed. If staying to paint (not just picking up your finished work) proof of vaccination must be shown. There are limited seating due to having to space the tables apart for distancing, so keep that in mind when going there on the weekends when it is usually a busy time there.

Had lots of fun here. You go in, pick your pottery, pay for the pottery, paint it, then give it to the staff so that they can fire it with the next batch(ready Monday after 6pm). They have lots of pottery choices, tonnes of paints to choose from and loads of brushes and stencils to choose from. Can't wait to pick up my bowl and see how it turned out.

The Clay Cafe, is a perfet way to spend a hot day, with or without your children. You pay for your bisque, then you have access to all their, paints, glazes, and all of their other materials. They fire your piecs, and it will be ready in 2-3 days. This is one of many pieces I have completed.

My only complaint: the paint colors advertised on the wall to not match up with the colors you end up getting. A great price for everything included, such as unlimited paint. You are offered 4 choices for paint cups but can have more colors if you want! Thet also serve slush puppies and kiln your piece for free!

It was a rainy day, i had nothing to do in Fredericton. And i landed at Clay Cafe. I spent 4 hours here. Painting 1 bowl (????). Pick your clay figurine, pick your colors and patterns and paint away. I was doing this for the first time ever and the staff really helped me understand the process and since I was visiting they were kind enough to arrange the picking up of the bowl in time before I left. It is great for kids and adults too.

Great coffee at this town centre cafe, even if it is somewhat expensive. The cakes and sandwiches are delicious and the nearest you'll get in Fredericton to a patisserie. Cafe Loka is nearby on York Street, and has the edge on the coffee, otherwise this is a great place to spend some time with a book a cake and a coffee whilst your kids are over the road at Clay Cafe.

Awesome place to go when you just want to sit back, relax and paint. They're cool with you bringing your own coffee in, too. Great place for kid's parties as they have a party room in the back. If you are looking for a QUIET place to get away to, I'd recommend not going on a Saturday. It was a little crowded the few times I went on a Saturday. Weekday mornings are usually the best.

This is a great little shop to visit if you are interested in painting a piece of pottery. It is great for making gifts or just to make yourself a uniquely designed piece of pottery. There are lots of options avaiable for paints and colors and the finished piece of pottery is usually able to be picked up less than a week after your visit.

This is the coolest thing I've done in a while. You get to pick an item from a massive selection, paint it, and then pick it up a few days later once it's been fired up & glazed. It comes out looking like a collectable porcelain piece! You can paint dishes, ornaments, piggy banks, and so much more. The prices range depending on the intricacy and size, and automatically includes the paint. Enjoy a coffee, paint something pretty, and enjoy!

If you want to be surrounded by screaming, annoying children this place is for you. If you think you're going to spend an hour or 2 relaxing and painting pottery, FORGET IT. Pretty much a day care where parents drop off and get rid of their children for a few hours to get the peace and quiet they're longing for. If you cant decide whether or not you want children, spend an hour here and your mind will be made up pretty quickly. Very expensive too, 2 mugs ran damn near $60. Not to mention there's a huge shortage of art supplies. Most of the children have destroyed anything that resembled a paint brush, as well as trying to find a specific colour code of paint...well you may as well be blind. Everything is everywhere and not in any type of order.

It was very busy when we went. I was surprised because I thought stores were at 50% covid capacity and every table had 2 to 6 people at it (although the tables were spread out). I was disappointed to find out at the very last moment that there is a $10 deposit fee for the paint even though I did ask before we even selected a clay piece.

By far this is my most favorite pottery painting place I have ever been to (compared to others from out of province). The pricing is great from very cheap to expensive but it's good because it depends on how complex you want the piece to be so on so forth. They have tons of colors to choose from, even can choose sparkles and/ or bumpy texture to the color. The prices are decent and they even have a table for discounted items so it's also nice. The staff is very friendly, the only issue I have about this place is that almost every single time/ day I come in to start a new piece or continue what I have, I cant seem to leave and always finding more pieces that I like and want to paint.
