I love the masks on the bears! I stop in here to grab the little incidentals required for the long ride up 502 to Dryden. Always great service that is very friendly and welcoming. Try the homemade cookies out in front at the cash. Excellent! I love homemade items after being out on the road for weeks on end.

The Great Bear is a gigantic gas station and convenience store where you can also get beautiful souvenirs. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are acceptable. The bear statues outside look adorable.

Normally this place rocks it. This time not so much. Had 4 family members with us who had never been there. I talked up the gift side of the store on the 2 hour drive to get there (were passing though on way to Atikokan) so they went in the store credit cards in hand ready to spend. After a 1/2 hour and even with my sister in law asking for help in clothing on two occasions. The 3 staff members never stopped their conversation at the till area and came and helped her. So the rest of the family put down their purchases and we left. Guess they just didnt need the 300 to 400 dollars in sales. I felt like a jerk for telling them how good they were there.

Great place with a wide selection of fishing equipment and other essentials inside as well as some souvenirs the fuel prices are high but understandable as the only gas station in the near area can get very crowded with lots of trucks and boat trailers in the parking lot but not a huge deal
