If you love trains stay here. Easy to locate. Only 6 spots 30 amp rest are 15. Long Grass sites. No sani dump on sites but elec & water. Sani dump is on way out. Beautiful scenery of lake and trees.

This is one of the most beautiful places in all Fort Frances. There are a lot of beautiful places here but I love coming to point park because it is so peaceful. Especially in the evening. The ducks come out and the water is like glass. Wonderful place for a picnic or fishing.

This is the worst place I can think of I've ever tent camped. It has a large, shaded, grassy area, the Rendezvous bar and restaurant is a short walk away (recommended), and it's only $18 (exact change needed, 2018). HOWEVER, the train goes right by the park all night long and blows it's horn. They are long trains that typically stop, then start up again. I've spent 5 nights here - and you can get about 2-3 hours of sleep before the next train. In addition, usually the only other "tenters" are people that appear to be semi-permanent squatters. The bathroom is usually sketchy - this time is was just "closed for repairs". I'm hoping I spent my last night here. Going west, there's Caliper PP, which has a nice campground. There's space for tenting at a lodge at Mine Centre. Timber Wolf Lodge going to Dryden has space for tenters, and the RV park in I-Falls has tent camping. All these are much better options than Point Park.

Glad I was fully self-contained and only needed a place to park. Sites are small and really close to busy train tracks and a level crossing. So far there has been a train every hour. Don’t expect to sleep well here.

Awesome place to swim and relax

The campground was by Rainy Lake and the river a very nice spot had it not been for the 15 trains that went by in less than 24 hours..we love trains but there was a crossing and off course they blew the horn on all of the passings. Too much !!! It also cost $35 dollars for 15 amp plus water.. Okay in a pinch. Police patrolled we felt safe.

Great place to go for the views, especially the great expanse of the green lawn and the US soil across. Be wary of the geese and the seagulls.
