We have been going to Camp Idlewood since 1988 and haven’t missed a single year. Some years we came multiple times. We started at one week and now we are at four. Our kids grew up going here and now they are bringing their families. The friendships that have been formed over the years are forever and it’s like our second family. We are on the third owners since we started and they all have been fabulous! The current owners, Greg and Rhonda are wonderful people making everyone feel like old time friends. The cabins are cozy, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The views are stunning and the beach is protected and clean. The boat docks are well protected from what Mother Natural could dish out.

As you drive into camp, it looks like you may step back in time to an old style fish camp. In reality the cabins are all very nice and modern. The owners, Greg and Rhonda treat you like the favorites of the family. All the guest are very friendly and share information. We have always had fun and caught fish! It's the best camp/resort we have been to.

Love this resort. The owners are friendly! The fish fry is fun and delicious! The views are gorgeous! We have gone a few times as a family and are always comfortable in the cabin. The kids love splashing in the water, going on the pedal boat, swinging, and having bon fires with s’mores:). There are also games in the boat house. This place is awesome for fishing and although we don’t fish we enjoyed our time relaxing and exploring as a family:) we most definitely plan to continue to visit here during the summer!

What can I say about this place and it's owner's? The camp is laid out very nicely. The cabins are more then sufficient for the number of people that each cabin can hold. CLEAN - OMG - spotless!!! I was absolutely shocked at how clean the cabin was when we walked in. Making note there there wasn't even dust on the tops of the picture frames. Dishes were all clean and organized. Towels were rolled and hung nicely. Kitchen drawers/cabinets all close easily. Basically flawless. The pier is sold and sound as far as structure goes,. The individual docks are solid and secure. Lighted walkway and pier add to the care that they take for the safety of their guests. Power at ever dock makes it easy to keep the boat batteries charged. The owners (Greg and Rhonda) - family owned/family history - although they know that we were only there because our Canada trip was cancelled, they still treated us like we had been coming for years with expectations that we would continue to keep coming. I truly can't say enough about the hospitality that we received. If for some unforeseen reason I couldn't go to Canada, there is absolutely no doubt that this is the resort I would book. Nothing is ever perfect though, so if I had any complaints, it would be that the toilet and shower stall are adequate, but rather small. Wasn't a real issue though. 5-Star rating for sure and well deserved for this camp that is located in a little piece of heaven.

Excellent place for a week long getaway! Seriously the most helpful and kind staff ive ever experienced! Even the die hard fishers that come and go treat you like family. Beautiful lake with alot to see.

I have stayed at EVERY resort on Rainy Lake, and Camp Idlewood is, hands-down, the only & best options. From location, to the sandy beach, to the updated cabins, and the awesome boat house (games / food/ & more), its the best resort / lodging you can get.

I stayed here with my adult son at the end of May 2016. Zero complaints from me. The resort is a well run, clean resort. The owners appreciate the business and it reflects in the great customer service they provide. I highly recommend Camp Idlewood and will definitely stay here again.

What an amazing getaway for the last week. I couldn't imagine a better camp to spend time at. The attention to detail and quality of the cabins, boats, fish house, and site is phenomenal. Greg and Rhonda are some of the nicest people you will meet and go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. Oh, the fishing was also great!!!! Can't wait to go back next year!

Great owners. Well run, nice Sandy beach. Clean well kept cabins. Thanks Greg and Rhonda for a great place to get away from it all. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Love the nightly bonfires.
