Nice place... washroom and shower available. Warm water compare to other beaches I've been...

I went back for the first time this year to find it completely changed!! After lugging my cooler , bags to the beach with a bunch of small children I was told that there is a fee of $5 per person to get into the beach and that they only accept credit cards & debit as payment. Who the heck brings credit cards or debit cards to the BEACH?!?? I had cash and they refused to let me pay cash and I had to go all the way back to my car (took me 20 mins to find parking BTW) just so I can PAY to enter the beach. There is a big line up just go get in to pay AND THEY SEARCH ALL YOUR BAGS!! this is a beach not an amusement park and i found it to be my worst experience ever going to a beach and yes beach is beautiful but the hassle and the searching and payment i found extremely excessive and I've been to beaches all over the world. Worst experience ever and the beach was completely overcrowded and they had sections of the beach separated so you couldn't gain access.. It was way better last year they literally ruined this beach. Never coming again

David Vick

Nice beach. Have to pay to park and pay to use the beach.

Notorious Neet

This beach is absolutely GARBAGE!!!!! I beg you people not to drive so far for an absolute horrible beach experience. I reccomend Sauble or Wasaga!!!

Caleb Varghese

Our kids enjoyed it..clean ad best thing is u can go almost 200 meters inside

Angelique Griffith

Beautiful beach! Great for an East Coaster missing the sand. The lake water is nice and clean, and the atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. Gotta love Canada!

Raziuddin Ahmad

On the bank of the Lake Erie Crystal Beach is quite good a spot to visit. It needs an entry fee to pay. There is paid parking lot. However, you don't need to pay for bathroom or washroom. Scenic beauty is enhanced with lots of seagulls.

Mohamed ElFar

Nice sandy beach with many relaxed people swimming, sunbathing and enjoying various beach/water sports... the water is cold but very nice and enjoyable... however the first look of the water is not very pleasant as it is greenish not sure why.... however I understood that it was called crystal beach because back in history water was crystal clear in this area...

Suwarna Oli

$10 parking for the entire day which isn't bad and $5 for entry fee per person which is a bit expensive considering the fact that it's just a public beach. Never had to pay in order to enter a beach before. This was the first one. However, it was worth the money. Water is clean and clear with no pebbles or gravel. It's a nice sandy beach. Water is not deep at all. Great for family and kids.

Steve Formoso

Beautiful beach with really nice sand and views of lake Erie. Its not an extremely large beach but it is a good size

Chris Scott

Great beach. Clean, free parking. There's a great ice cream spot across the street. There are no facilities, only port-o-lets. We arrived after 3pm on Thursday and it was not crowded. I would expect it could get very crowded on the weekends.

Nahuel Taibo (Now)

Beach is nice, but there are weird regulations like no beach tents (not even for babies)

Jean-Pierre Drevillon

Polluted and most of the beach is private... Owned by rich New Yorkers who rent or bought houses and think Canada is an American colony...

Cynthia Theoret

The beach had amazing waves to swim! It's not too crowed! I loved it

Francis Godbout

Great place. Clean. Bring your lunch. There is nothing to buy here.

Javier Lazo

Great beach. Paid parking $4 per hour or $15 all day Paid entrance $5 per person. Free after 6pm.

Kazi Mahmudul Haque Bhadhon

Perfect for a summer day outing.

Zubair Habib

Nice beach but you need to pay $5 entry fees per person also atleast $10 parking.

Kathy Trenholm

I am not one to complain and I am a very easygoing person. But what happened to us needs to be shared. We arrived early in the morning to get parking and were waiting for the parking lot to open. We were parking off to the side with our two small children so we wouldn't have to carry them too far to get to the beach. I approached the parking attendant that was preparing to open for the day and asked him what time they were opening. He proceeded to verbally assault me, saying we were not allowed to park where we were at, swearing at me, yelling at me to leave, and told me that we would not be allowed to park at his lot. I walked back to my family, I was shocked and shook up but had to wait for my husband to return before we could leave. This man proceeded walk back towards us yelling that he had already called the police and they would be here any minute. I couldn't believe how disrespectful these parking attendants could be... calling the cops on me with 2 young kids in the car. On top of that we arrived with a half tent to shelter these babies from the sun and we were told that we were not allowed to set them up. And yet again they would call the cops on us and we would physically be escorted off the beach if we were to set them up. We then had to go to a local corner store who is now capitalizing on visiting families who don't know about this and charging $25 for a small useless beach umbrella that collapses or flies away with the slightest bit of wind. I am upset and saddened at the disrespect, rudeness that we experienced.

andries laya

Beach is ok for small group of people. If you come on a busy day, good luck to find a spot. Parking also has to pay. There's free parking for two hours but spot are limited. Unless you come at 6AM, hard to get it.

dominique “domisol” caplier

Sooo delighted that the beach is clean again!! Now $5 per person, which I so gladly pay!!

Raymundo Arenas

Is a very good place all beauti

sanil mathew

Shallow beach and clear water.my kids liked it.

Hirosh Abeywardane

Beautiful sandy beach. However, not a single tree or shade to be found. Parking is very difficult on busy days and can be very uncomfortable on a hot sunny day.

juan lopez

This beach is awesome. Sad that the water front is being built up with private properties. Still one of the best beaches in southern ontario for cleanliness. Crystal clear water hens the name. Only one access to the beach so get up early and get your spot. No open alcohol so please be discreet if you decide to do it. Also the seagulls are like japanese kamikazes, took a sandwich right out of my mother in laws hands.

Kristina Rocci

Wow. Just wow. Clean. Gorgeous sand. New kids park and bathrooms. Super quiet during off season. A true gem in the Niagara region.

Kendra Russell

I had the time of my life. Been lots of places all over but this place is close to my heart .It's beautiful, water is clean, you can see right to the bottom.

Archie Kenyon

I would say this is the best beach within two hours drive of Toronto. My fragile feet loved the soft sand and lack of rocks. It is quite shallow and fantastic for kids. Bonuses: - Bathrooms are quite spacious and clean. - It has those cool mats to help you walk further onto the beach with a wheelchair or rolling suitcase. The only negatives are: - Paying $5/person plus parking. But you would pay more to get into a provincial park. - The buoys are quite shallow, so not the best for deeper swimming.

Kym Deluca

Really beautiful beach ????????

Anny S (Anny S)

I love this beach, water gets warmer in the afternoon, last year you did not have to pay, but since May 5th you need to pay $5 per person. It gets crowded during holidays in the afternoon. New bathrooms and changing rooms. There is staff supervising no alcohol or pets allowed. I have been going there at least for the last 2 years. Parking is cash and there is a new small park for kids as well.

Nikolay L. (nlavrush)

Can be crowded

Chico Beach

Super nice beach! Highly recommend! Looks like a great place for families too.

Matthew M

Beautiful beach, the sand is light and powdery. The water is clean aside from some seaweed near shore but even that depends on what part of the shoreline you're at. Fairly shallow all throughout until you're about halfway to the boat line buoys. Only negative I can find is that the food near the "official" parking lot (plenty of places to park aside from that including two hour parking) is crazy expensive, so pack a snack if you're planning to be there a while. Also, you may encounter the occasional rock or chunk of concrete while playing on the otherwise clean beach. Please move the rock to one of the garbage cans to reduce potential injury.

Mitchell Lambert

Beautiful beach! Its kind of annoying that you have to pay $5 on the machine and you can’t pay with cash! only coins or visa. I wish I knew before walking all the way there with my cooler, but the employee was nice and let us in anyway! The beach was very crowded but we still had room to relax!

Terry Proveau

Even today in March it is nice to walk the beach.

Nadia Fontana-Naar

Very well kept grounds. Beautiful beach and very clean

Ozzy V Design

Fun place for family. Has wifi....fancy

Friday Osagie

Very neat and clean

Darius Melvin

Such a gem with awesome waters, sand and setting. An awesome beach town

Marcie Cain

It's nice it wasn't overly crowded had a great time.

Fel G

We've been going here for a few years and loved it. This year we were a bit hesitant about using the beach cuz of the water issues but they check every day and it is clean. This year they made some changes which are good. They added a playground for the children and added a new washroom facility. Our only disappointment was the entry fee. Parking remained the same but unfortunately they are now charging $5.00 a person to enter the beach and children under 10 are free. They have a year pass for $10.00 but only for Ford Erie residents.

hardil badesha

Nyc beach to visit n relax..bit busy but water is clear..

Lin Joyce

Without a doubt, the best beach for swimming and sunbathing in the Niagara area.

Kalil Morita

The sand is white and the water it's not cold than Toronto beaches.

Luke Chevalier

Beach is improved this year with more staff for cleaning and even free wifi on the beach!

Arsh

Superb beach ⛱ perfect relaxation lots of fun...Cristal clear water ????????????

Dimitri Lapo

Clean, lots of space, they have security at the pathway in and you have to pay 5 to get in

Monica Boaventura

Beautiful beach! Was just sad that we had to pay $5 enterance to the beach

Weranga Perera

Nice beach. Recently they have installed ticket machines near entrance and charge for entrance . $5 per person. Parking s additional .

Janice Lewis

Took a ride to Lake Erie's Crystal Beach. The water was sooo warm. It felt amazing. There was a lot of green fronds or something in water and on beach. Only downside. We were there end of September. Hardly anyone there and parking was free due to time of year.

John MacIntyre

Crowded and parking is a nightmare. You literally have to walk over people's stuff and you can almost reach out and touch your neighbor. I've heard so many good things about this beach, but no; Not for me.

yags arsh

Crystal clear water sandy beach. Overcrowded, too many people area constricted due to private beach areas . Port a potty. No other activity . No food places variety. Even on weekdays theres no room

Christine Byker

Love this beach!! Very very clean they definitely keep it nice for visitors. $5 per person for the day. Credit card only to enter. Will always come to this beach!

Berta Nosic

Parking is a bit pricey. $15 a day or $4 an hour. Anyone over 10 has to pay $5 to enter the beach. They have made a really nice entrance with washrooms and showers. Unless they do this on the weekend but they should have food trucks there or some sort of snack place. Also with paying $5 to get in they should have a life guard on duty. Beach is nice and clean.

Kate Rebhan

Beautiful beach but incredibly crowded, no longer has snack bar or even food truck, not well thought out security/pay stations.

John A

Definitely one of the best beaches in Southern Ontario, very nice clean water and probably the warm as well in Southern Ontario. This is a forgotten place and I wish more businesses would open up and tourism would flourish again.

Tanya Koganov

amazing sandy beach! Shallow and clean water is perfect for kids!

Steven Cudnoch

Well maintained beach. Beautiful views, friendly and family friendly beach. Enforced beach with rules as follows, pets are not allowed and other kind of typical rule such as no beers. Washrooms are located 5 minutes out from either side from the main entrance behind the actually beach strip. Paid parking is right beside the main entrance which makes it really convenient. Free parking down the streets.

Ola Cukrowska

Great beach in a super cute town.

An-G

I love this beach. The only thing that didn't made me not give this beach 5 stars it's that for some reason, you have to now pay to enter. The people under 10 dont pay but when its 11+, its 10 DOLLARS PER PERSON! I don't understand the reasoning behind this. Anyway, the beach is really beautiful and big. You can have a lot of fun here w/ your family and friends!

Erez Yaron

My favorite thing is going to busy places at not-busy times. You can tell from the parking hours what times are busy, and this was a lovely place for a stroll, the beach is nice (requires payment tho), there's good eating places and the ice cream was delicious.

Dsb Mech

Security check point to access the beach, they search your bags. A wonderful place ruined with long lines and security.

Tina Drake

I love this beach. Pack a cooler, blanket and sunscreen and head out to an amazing beach. The water is delightful and the sand is glorious. Great family fun for all ages.

Nathan

Always used to be a go to spot in the summer but new developments and litter has taken over the once go to hidden gem in Niagara. Other than that it is still somewhat of a decent summer "getaway"

Neil Naik

Gorgeous hidden beach. Weird entrance. I'm always irritated when there isn't free parking around and the parking lots are not well maintained

Bola Martins

Beautiful water

Nicole Fox

Very busy in the summer months. Difficult to find an empty spot to lounge. However the beach is clean and beautiful!

Thomas O'Brien

First time there, great time with the kids. Not OO deep too fast.

Jill Black

The softest sand you can experience in Ontario!

Alejandra Naranjo (alej.45)

We love this place!! Great for camping, and it is also one of the few free leash beaches in Ontario

Atif Mahmood

Beach is nice, water is really clean..small and congested beach on weekends as private properties took a lot of the beach area..

Alexander Daunan

Nice and clean beach with blue and clean water. Good for the family for swimming or just dipping your feet in the water. There's a big and clean washing station. You have to pay $5/person. The official parking cost you $15/day but you can buy time by hours. There's also a private parking lot offering parking space $10/day around the beach.

Priya SP

Have lots of fun

N “Nathan” H

I have to give 5 stars because it fully met my expectations. I will say, since we were staying in town, we were able to avoid parking and the entrance (by arriving early). $5 is a little steep for a supposedly "public" beach. On Thursday when we arrived there was still a fair amount of trash that needed cleaned. On Saturday the beach was pristine when we arrived.

Colin Clark

Really nice beach and it is alot closer to Toronto and Hamilton than Muskoka and there is no traffic. The city how ever for the beach and there is a lack of open business but it seems to be growing. If the city encouraged new businesses that would probably help alot

Chris MacLean

Crystal Beach is a great spot for families. The beach is huge and the water is warm. Well worth the drive from Toronto.

Ujjval Patel

Loved it. Not a crowded one. I went with wife and family. Usually during long weekends beaches are full of people but this one surprisingly not fully occupied.

Peter B

Not too far from the GTA, parking is usually $10 for the day. Some nice people would usually give you their parking pass if you're arriving while they're taking off. There is a concession stand that sells fries, hotdogs, sausages, poutine, burgers, pop, water & icecream (cash only I believe). I just wish there was some beach town right around the beach; the closest restaurant/shop isn't a close walking distance.

Alex Dupon

Cute little beach. Very clean!

Clint Palaypayon

The beach was improved. New play park for kids. New change rooms and washrooms. Very accessible now with beach path with mats. Entrance fee now applies. No tents of any kind are allowed. No glasses of any kind are allowed. Great improvements! Beach is still very good to swim esp fir kids.

Charlotte H

I have been going to Crystal Beach my whole life and love it. One of the best beaches in the area.

Zee Jeremic

Beautiful Beach

Chris Corrado

Great beach, water is clear and shallow, great for kids and grown ups

Asia Vassos

It's a beautiful beach except now you have to pay to get in ($5/person). The rules are very strict. Make sure you are planning a whole day at the beach to make it worth the money.

Michael Burns

One of the nicest beaches in Ontario! Great little town too!

Teddy Chan

closed for the season & pandemic. will revisit again in the summer

Daniel G

Please, do not come here. You get checked like in an airport. Read other bad reviews, they're all true

Shelly Murrell

Great private beach just for local residents. Perfect social distancing. Very clean.

irena rebollar

Beautiful beach with new facilities, very clean washrooms, changing rooms and shower

Kazi Haque

Excellent beach water front perfect for day trip or cottages.

asha ann

One of the best beaches I have visited. Nice and clean washrooms and shower rooms

Amit Bhalani

It's just beautiful place to visit with your family and its clean.

nikita bhatt

The Beach is small but water is very clean and neat, and also warm. Parking fee and entry fee is affordable, and the changing rooms are available with tidiness.

Dustin Solis

Clear water.......$5 admission to the beach when is supposed to be free, eventhough I found a piece of rusted metal thank God my kids didn't get hurt....need to improved to deserve those $5 admission.

karen louis

The beach is way to small for the amount of people that visit..it's unreal how much of it is private! They need more rest room facilities...there are only 3 stalls in the ladies and there was always a line up to get in. They should actually have change rooms for people as well, with the amount of people that go there. I must say the water is amazing! It's cold at first but you eventually get use to it..it's just so clear! My son and I went out to our shoulders..we are both 6ft tall..and we could still see our feet and every ripple in the sand beneath us! I'd love to swim here again and my son want to bring all his friends with!!

JOHN JAIRO BETANCUR AGUIRRE

Nice people. Very organized, clean water. Nice area

Alexandru Stan

One of the best beaches in Ontario. Sandy and shallow

Jose Santis

Small beach, but beautiful. Clear, shallow water. Clean, soft sand. No rocks. Very little algae.

Lyn Wagg

Free WiFi and nice bathrooms.

Raja Kuppuswamy

Fairly small but very crowded beautiful public beach. White sand, well maintained, clean, secure family Beach Well behaved crowd. Restaurants in walking distance and Tim Hortons within 5 mins of driving. Ample (paid) parking space. Nice place for a day trip and if you are interested in staying over Crystal Beach (town) also has many Lakeside resorts with private beaches.

Anita M Jones

Went for Church on the Beach. Beautiful day. Nice, clean beach.

Daniel Potestio

The beach is clean, the water is clear you can see the bottom. Has washrooms, food truck, great beach just go early to get a good spot.

Werlon Alves

very very very nice place, clear water, clear sand, clean washrooms, the best beach! But be attention for rules, no barbecue, no glasses, no alcohol, no tent!

Ma Ra

Clear water..soft sand.. Perfect family beach.. ????☀????????

Gary Insalaco

Maes Place in Stevensville ! Wonderful home cooked meals ,great soups and deserts ! The owners are a great family who care about the quality of food they serve ! One of my favourite restaurants EVER !

Fritz Theodore

Sucks that you have to pay to get into the beach now on top of parking but had a blast.

Saad Khalid

Nice place. Will definitely go back. Water was still cold

nata a

Small town ,Beautiful simple beach , lovely friendly ppl. Only small negative is that there's NOT much to do BUT relax which is the reason i go.... Mostly older retired ppl as well.

J WL

Not a huge beach, and can get pretty crowded during peak season, however is a in a nice quiet town, with local amenities. Many bars and local restaurants to try. There is a very popular ice cream stand right near the beach and a fair amount of parking (which you do have to pay for) all and all it makes a good place for a day trip

John Etheridge

A very fun place to visit on long weekends during the summer. Not very rough water. Somtimes it is packed on Memorial Day or The 4th of July.

Silvana Matias

For everybody to know... Crystal Beach is charging entrance $5 for every adult and kids over 10 years old. Wasn't advertised anywhere don't be surprised!! Also parking is from $8 up just disapointed that we need to pay to enjoy our natural resources!!

Michael Elkevizth

This is an amazing beach. The water is actually crystal clear. The only drawback is that everyone seems to know about it. Crowded is an understatement.

Kelly Ann Scott

Crystal Beach leaves us feeling like we're away on vacation

Muhammad Umar

Loved the water, sand. Only problem is washrooms so prepare well in advance before coming over there. huge lineups. water is so nice

Lenny Burch

A very well built and organized public beach access with great amenities!

Jonathan Scott

First time at Crystal Beach.....nice small town with a clean sandy beach. Not to crowded, perfect for family and children.

Stanley Chang

This city beach is clean and safe. The water is shallow and clear of stones and weeds. The sand is soft and cleared of debris. But it a small beach area that is growing in development of cottages and homes. There is a $5 entry fee. Rules are enforced by security. No lifeguards.

Sergii Sopin

A lot of wasps and hungry seagulls. Very shallow.

Jordan Pick

This beach is very well run with a properly placed entrance and exit, The water is super clear and much warmer than lake ontario. We had a good time and will be coming back. It's a 2 hour and 30 minute drive but it was so nice we will come back. It's also not to far from niagara falls or Fort erie.

Inderjit S

It is a nice beach. You have to pay for the parking and that is if you find but due to pandemic there are not many people swimming. There are nice washrooms. Locals do not pay for the parking.

Timea Birsan

Beautiful. Modern. Nice place to spend time.

Vivek Sharma

Beach is neat and clean but there is a $5 ticket per person (above year 10) to enter. There is no life gaurd,no shades, no benches, no chairs but still they charge a fee.

Sagnik Ghosh

One of the best beaches in the Niagara Region!

Jesús Ortiz

Nice spot near Niagara town. You may as well book your housing here and travel to the falls if planning to stay more than one day.

inderpreet singh Khurana

White sand really good

Dylan Moffat

Nice place, can get a little crowded from time to time during peak hours. I recommend going when its a little poor out as pictured and no one will be there but it'll still be pretty nice. The water is wonderful and way cleaner than lake Ontario

Puru Kuga

Not a huge amount of space as most of the beach is reserved but it is clean and well maintained

RenBay Reviews

Great public beach — very clean, after 6pm quiet, a lot of fine dinneries around ❤️⛱️ Love the place!

Laura Vincent

We recently experience a terrible time at Crystal Beach. Waited in a long line to get into an over crowded beach. These people are very money hungry and boy are they making some money. We brought our toddlers and their small toddler tent that is weighted with sand so it doesn't blow away. After setup we were approached by 2 men that told us to take it down. I said our babies needed shade and they proceed to tell us that they would have to ask us to leave if we didn't take it down . This didn't feel legal to tell a mother she can't protect her children from the sun . They said we could buy an umbrella across the street. Why? So they could make more $. Don't waste you time or $ at this place.

Alberto El-Dirani

It has wonderful sandy beach and warm water (of course during summer!). It's located in Crystal Beach town where you can enjoy walks, have icecream and check out local restaurants. I loved it so much that I'll be reserving a family cottage overlooking the beach for next summer season.

Jason Dooks

You pay for parking. You pay for admission to the beach. You have to go through airport security to get to the beach. Nothing spectacular about it once you're in. Go to literally any other beach in the province and have a better experience.

parantap bhatt

The water is amazing and the sand feels nice. The only problem is the $5 entry fee on top of the parking fee

URaSuperstar #1

Very small beach, $5 per person to get in, $10 for parking. In weekends, the beach is crowded and packed to the Max, can bearly find a place to put a towel on the beach. Good beach for kids but so busy that I would be worried to take my kids there again easy to loose them in all this cumotion.

Bahare Solemani

Ahh this is the great wonderfull beach I always reached for. First time, but I will be back next year.

Christina Comfort

I have always loved this beach.... however I went there today June 30th 2019....... charged to enter the beach!!! $5.00 a person. What kind of non sense is this... Plus parking. No tents. No dogs. They have an entire list of RULES on their website. #townofforterie shame on you. I was so disappointed. If your parking ticket expires or you dont pay for parking you are looking at a parking ticket of about $50. The beach and water are beautiful but fine another way in. Oh.... and..... bag checks now... what kind of place has then come to..... oh and beach has trolling security.

iChefjr Jorge

In the middle of one of the great lakes, offers a very relaxing atmosphere. There is now a small fee to keep it clean and well staffed plus parking. It's worth it.

Karisma Hoffman

Nice beach however too many restrictions..you cannot bring tents, bbqs, no glass among other things. There is an entry fee of $5 per person, children under 10 are free. Plus you have to pay for parking $15. The worst part about this beach is the staff at entry. Very unhelpful not to mention rude. I would not go back. Far better beaches in Ontario with less restrictions and free entry. Never have I ever paid to go on to an Ontario beach unless to park.

Dmytro Tsurko

Very nice place but way overcrowded. Shallow water, clean sand, great for kids though. No amenities around, hard to find a parking spot.

Kareem Sherif

Lovely beach spot, no pets allowed until 8pm, bit of a rocky beach start, otherwise warm and nice sandy beach, check online for parking capacity as it's usually busy, $5 per adult for access during covid for non residents of the area

Matt Candeloro

Stunning new beach facilities. And lots of cool local business nearby like Planks. One of the better public beaches around when not overcrowded on the typical long weekends. A gem

Ritesh Mistry

This is a great little beach. Warm water, quaint bars and restos around. Fyi: no liquor at the beach

Kathy Kiss

Gorgeous as always. Love the sound of the waves crashing against the shore line as it pushes shells inward. Beautiful lake breeze!

Patrick Kozierowski (WickedAwesomeAgent)

Came for the grand opening and had a great time. Kids loved the new park. Looking forward to coming back.

Andrei Vashoukov

It was a nice warm day for November, beach looks clean, will check this place next summer ????

Brian James

Bay Beach is one of those beaches where you feel at home - - right away. The water is clear and generally warm. The atmosphere is friendly. Families mix with younger people. It's clean, washrooms are nearby. And there are some sweet nearby places to get drinks and food. Love it.

Vinit Shah

Nice and clean. Maintained by the locals. Has paid entry but worth the money especially for families. The parking around is paid. The beach and water was really clean, no metal or glass pieces, making it especially safe for kids. Trends to be busy on summer weekends. Not for solitude seekers for sure but definitely recommend for family outings especially with young kids. Kinds were enjoying making sand castles.!!

Brandon Perkins

Let's put this into perspective: $10/day parking $5/person to get on the beach The beach is... ok Very very crowded Reeks of pot smoke 1/5 only bring your kids here if you want to teach them what pot smells like, and if you want to enjoy 5 square feet of beach space. Go to one of the other local beaches FOR FREE, and enjoy a full beach almost entirely to yourself

Michael

Love crystal beach! Warm water later July and early August. Shallow waters for kids and long clean sand.

Oleksiy Okrushko

Decent sandy beach, nice water, gets way too crowded though and the beach is not very big due to construction.

Diego P

Beach is very clean people were all respectful water was nice and warm great day for the family

Saad Nadeem

Amazing beach. Good crowd. Amazing water.

vinayak bhakta

Exotic and laid back place.

Nicole Keller

Crowded on the weekends but the beach is great... Calm warm water. Perfect for kids

Beverley Cant

A fabulous beach after all these years. Amusement park is long gone but simply walking the show line is rejuvenating, especially early in the morning when it is not packed with sun worshippers. I do hope they start the renovation project that the billboard has indicated would be happening .......soon......but when ? This is an old promise. ....If they do what they say they are planning to do, I would rate it a 10 out of 5 stars. August 18th.....visited again and renovations well under way !!!! Looking forward to the transformation of such an amazing place !

Reeshma Marie Ramnarine

Beautiful beach! Entry fee is $5 pp and children 10 and under are free. We parked by the new building with washrooms across from a nice park for kids to play in. Beach was clean and water was super clear. Rocky when you enter the water but after a few meters its soft sand! They do not allow glass containers, bottles, etc., which may seem obvious but we only use glass for our food. Now we know for next time! So we ate at these blue tables with umbrellas and them left the glass in the car. Will definitely go back...maybe even rent a place for a couple nights!

AZNSallad

It's a great and clean beach though is does get crowded after 12 so if you want to get there where it's not crowded, get there early from my past visits. Other wise it's a great beach.

Indira Fajardo

Best Beach in Ontario. Very similar to Cancun Mexico. Great white sand beach with clean, clear water!!! Perfect for swimming. Amazing for playing on the waves. Kids and family friendly placed. Definitely, a must to visit!

Moied Khan

Excellent and clean location to go with family. Only reason i have to give 1 less star is because they don't allow any gazebos or have any shaded area. Only allowed are the beach umbrellas. But will still visit again one day.

Ghazaleh Fotoohi

Soft sands, social distancing (very safe) and guides and rules to help maintain the health and cleanliness of the beach. Probably one of the best beaches in Ontario.

Christian SyKo Hartsell

Great beach, clear water and decent parking if you go early enough.

rosaura paz

The best beach, nice and clean. Excellent facilities. The town is so beautiful.

Nelson Dias

The absolute Best beach within 2 hours drive of Toronto. The water is perfect temperature. Not too cold.

Scott Henderson

Great reserved sandy beach for local residents and cottage renters this year. Umbrellas only (no pop-up tents) and security checks your bags for alcohol. Washrooms available.

Lilyana

Fantastic

J LA

Nice smaller beach within good distance to the falls, safari niagara and Toronto.

Cassandra L

Nice beach. You have to pay to get in now which is new. And no tents or hookahs, etc. We got there early and got a good spot. We could play our music without hearing other people's music nearby. Lots of space. The bathrooms nearby are a plus too.

Sara Urowitz

Amazing redo of the beach and the park. I was so impressed with all the updates. I was surprised that there are no lifeguards on the beach, even if the paid entry.

Jenn Valiquette

Nice beach! It's a shame to have to pay to visit a public beach, but oh well.

danny faheem

So I have been to this beach for the last 4 years. For the past 4 years I had a good experience. But changing my review based on my experience yesterday. Parking fees have increased by $5 compared to last year, not an issue, reasonable increase. They now ask for a $5 fee per person to enter the beach, I find this to be ridiculous. I have never paid to access any beach in Ontario. Also they search your bags like it's the airport and they now have rules about the type of umbrellas you can have lol. Just go few kilometres down the road and you can access beach without paying for entry fee and have your bags searched through like you're a criminal.

Johanna Porkola

Beautiful place, 5$ over 10 years old + parking. Beware, they check your bags! Like in customs. So terrible, everybody watching your stuff. I think it is even illegal! MYbe they did it because I'm foreigner. No glass, I had a jar with fruits, had to toss away. No alcohol, which I agree. Mixed feelings

Zlatko Zahirović

Its one of the nicest and cleanest beaches in Ontario. If some of the shops were more lively and interesting, I'm sure the downtown would benefit from that.

Nick Gabriel

Beautiful beach and location. Only issue I can raise was the entrance fee that was charged. What a country we live in where we are charged to use a beach that is within Canada. A country we a proud to be born in and proud to represent but I don't think it's fair to charge someone to enjoy the beauty of this beach when you pay taxes in this country I recommend that most people come early because of how packed the beach becomes and limited parking

Erin Brady

Loved it. Water was a bit choppy but oh so warm! Will be back with the boat.

Tom Griffin

Cyrstal beach is a good quality beach. They keep the beach pretty well combed and clean, and there is sand all throughout the swimmable area (other beachs have rock/shale). They do have a snack shack, but I wish there was more available, such as a bar restaurant. All-in-all, if you plan on just enjoying the beach and bringing your own lunch, Crystal beach is a good choice to bring your family to.

Sammie Nguyen

Beautiful and crowded beach but not for long because the weather is dropped down already. Paid 5.00 per adult for entry.

Tetsuji Nakamura

Went with my family. It's really nice beach with some nice restaurants around.

Nicole P

Nice beach but you have to pay $5 per person to go on. You cant have pets even if on leash anywhere on the beach. And there is a rule that they do not allow beach tents. They made me take my tiny beach tent down but not the behemoth of an umbrella tent that i parked myself behind. The excuse was that a child went missing and they cant see into tents. Well the umbrellas that turn into tents are even bigger than my beach tent but was allowed to stay. You could actually see through my tent and not theirs. Will not ever make the 3 hour drive from toronto again to this beach

ASHA CONLEY

Great family beach. Beach area is clean and well maintained. Ladies bathroom only have 3 stalls, so be ready for a long line at the bathrooms during busy times. The beach also gets very crowded when weather is good but still a very pleasant place to hang out, I advise to come early ie before noon if you want a good spot. Water is clear and safe to walk in without feat of stepping in anything unpleasant. Great place for kids because there are alot of families and people are decent (no topless) and no loud, drunk and rowdy people.

Shohel Mohammad

Excellent place. Warm water, nice sandy and wavy beach. Nice and clean beach with clean wash room.

emmii. asian

Sandy and very clean beach. Not crowded when we came here, only one entrance and one exit and there's a security in both post.

Eric Spin

Very nice and clean beach usually. In the summer it can be very busy on holidays and long weekends but that's the only downside.

Michael Velemirovich

Quiet peaceful place ho walk outside of tourists season. Busy in the summer months.

Adam George Palios

Cute little beach, been going here for years. Clean and large, it's pretty easy to find a spot in the summer, and offers a nice walk during the off seasons. They're pretty strict about no alcohol which is a bummer, but if they suspect a container has it, they pour it out instead of fining you or kicking you out.

Elena G

Mixed feelings. The sand is nice, white, no rocks. The water is shallow, going gradually to a deeper part, great for kids. The bottom is all send. The water is very clear. So that's good points. Now let's talk about bad points. City decided that visitors have to pay for the beach. Entrance $5 per person older then 10, I belive, not sure about the age. I wrote to the city asking why, they said because they build that new washroom/change room/lockers place (FYI change rooms are closed for whatever reason, probably there's covid sitting in them). And they built new playground and did a front entrance to the beach so they can charge you, and that's why you have to pay for that grand project that they decided to do. Also saying that residents are happy with that. Than, they said that they will limit amount of people in the beach... Well I don't know what they meant by that but the beach is PACKED TO THE BRIM. NO TENTS, beware! Only umbrellas. The reasoning is ludicrous. So now instead of 1 tent you'll see 5 umbrellas clustered in one place. Paid very limited parking in the area. Around $15 a day. There's a lot of private shoreline in the area where you can't go. This city council apparently giving away the land easily.

Chris Spurrell

Excellent place for a family vacation. Beach is clean and water is blue. If coming during covid times, make sure your host has beach passes for you as this is the only way to get on the beach during the summer months.

J Gurney

Nice Beach area. I'm sure during hot weather it would be great.

Scott Crain

Beautiful beach however a public beach should be free

JORAWAR GILL

Very good open to public 5 dollars entry fee after 6 is free entry

GMC ultr

I bit of sea weed when we visited but far less busy than the pay beach around the corner.

Ryan Schmidtke

The beach was beautiful. Very friendly staff and accessible. However, there is this rule where you aren't allowed to anchor down your umbrellas or have tents on the beach even for young children as a respite from the sun. Luckily the days we were there were overcast and not overly windy so this wasn't a huge issue. However, I think a large umbrella getting loose and hitting someone could cause more harm than if someone trips over an anchor point. Just my two cents.

David Toles

Nice beach - couldn't enter due to Covid restrictions but in prior years no problem. Go online to check before traveling there.

Rose Arsenault

Super day at the beach ⛱

Maksym Steplyuk

Nice beach. But put one star down for extra windy all the time

Scott Skidmore

Amazing place other then they charge admission and check personal bags for cannabis

Dan Marusin

$5 per person, they will search your bags every time you want to go to the washroom.

Randy Charles Morin

A beach with wifi. Awesome!

Paula P

Amazing beach! Awesome clear water and nice sand.

shakiruzzaman Chowdhury

Feel like I'm at cox's bazar.

Anurag Jindal

Wonderful beach.. best in area.. 4 $ hour parking and 5 $ per head entry fees.. no BBQ , stove allowed . Guards will check ur bag at entry

Lam Bach (Lâm Bạch)

Come by after 4pm for easy parking, very clean beach. Ice cream parlours nearby and south coast restaurant is a hidden gem just like this beach.

Douglas Anderson

Nice to see. Only locals from Fort Erie can use. Free parking is scarce.

Mike ornce

I'm American, so if you're American, read my review.... Not much for food or drink, but there's a good stand that offers burgers and fries if you have cash and catch them while they're open!!! But, if you're looking for a beautiful beach, then this is where it's at!!!!

Jacqueline Speck

They charge five bucks now, but the beach is cleaned daily, lovely washrooms and playground.

Thaís Pacheco

Take some money with you to pay the parking and the beach entrance. In the other hand, free wifi is good and bathrooms are nice and clean

P2K1000

Parking now $15 plus $5 per person. Added "security" they check everything constantly floating around. No freedom anymore. Used to be awesome, now exactly the way this country headed, rules and more rules.

Muhammad Waseem (Waz)

Very clean water. Cheaper Parking. Need some more facilities.

Iman Majeed

Clear , Clean , Crystal, We spent such a lovely day ????

Marko Jokanovic

Clear warm water and clean beach

Sumiti Gupta

It's a beautiful place to be. It's clean and don't forget to carry the beach essentials with you.

Classified

Its a great beach and food to hang out at only thing is, it gets VERY busy.

Lainecrypto

One of the most beautiful places on Earth. Warm Lake Erie water, clean washrooms, not crowded, lots of space for sand-sports.

P T

Love what they have done to make the entrance to the beach more welcoming for families

Teresa Masotti

Super clean beach. The Fort Erie City Staff do exceptioanlly well!

Iris C.

Fun place to go with kids. And family

alex hardy

The facilities and the beach itself are great. The beach is primarily geared towards families. Keep in mind when you go that there are security checkpoints at each of the entrances where they will charge you $5 to enter the beach, dilgenently check your bags and will not permit any alcohol, although security lacks around the perimeter of the beach where I've witnessed people and goods go over the fence. There is parking located by the beach for $10 or less. For free parking, follow the green P signs found on street signs all along Erie Rd which will lead you to a municipal lot- located approximately a 5 minute walk away from the beach.

Christina B

Awsome local beach..but for people only!!! NO DOGS ALLOWED!!! I AM A DOG OWNER.THERE SHOULD BE A SPECIFIC SECTION TO BRING DOGS!!!

SARALEEN K

Such amazing service to get in and out, beach is clean

Derek Stonier

The new Bay Beach is beautiful

Raul ROJAS B

Great place, nice beach...

U K

Amazing water , nice beach But way to small , so crowded

MRD Visuals

Looks absolutely stunning but it is not worth paying for, in addition, you had to pay for parking. They check your bags as well, that's just a warning.

Mariano de Aranaga

Great place to spend the day, you feel like in a beach at any place in the world

Angelica Ang (Angie)

There's an admission fee $5 per person or a season pass. It's not free anymore. ???? But, the washroom are in good condition and a new playground in the front.????

S S

We had a fabulous time at Bay Beach this past week (late August). It is $5 per adult and children over the age of 10 (I believe) to enter. I don't mind paying since it limits the number of guests on an already busy strip of beach and it ensure it is tidy and neat. The water was very clean and warm and they have markers for boats to stay clear of. Doesn't stop them from getting close and smelling up the place of course. They have lovely blue mats to walk on and it really helps with those like us with strollers. Just a quick hoist of your stroller off the mat and onto your spot of the beach and you're set. It was still pretty crowded for a weekday and not everyone was wearing masks in the washroom/change room so that was disappointing. The other plus is there is a nice playground for children just outside of Bay Beach and there is a lot of affordable parking on the street or in the public lots ($2 per hour). Private lots offer parking at $10 per day.

Sterner

Beautiful public beach with clean, new facilities and gorgeous view of Lake Erie. Parking and admission fees are reasonable. Amazing playground and features accessibility mats to help everyone enjoy the beach.

shafaq tahir

The beach is nice and clean but was devastated to know even little beach tents are not allowed.

Angie G

Crystal Beach is quite possibly my favourite beach town. It's cute, it's laid back, the locals are super friendly, the food at all of the local restaurants is amazing(especially South Coast Cookhouse), and the beach is so beautiful and clean. Starting in summer of 2019 there is a $5 fee to enter the beach though and they check your bags at the entrance as well...but I don't mind paying the five bucks and I don't have anything to hide in my beach bag so I don't mind the bag check either.

Sabine Hedi

Lovely beach. Very clean - saw staff picking up stuff early in the morning and testing the water. I was there 2nd week of June so the water was to cold for me but there were kids swimming.

J Rhawk

Beautiful and enjoyable

JC

Fabulous Beach???? This beach is very clean, filled with exquisite sandy beaches. Enjoy the beautiful aromas of fresh, clean crisp air as it gently blows across Lake Erie. Enjoy breath taking sunsets as the fiery sun kisses the sky good night. A truely magic place to enjoy a warm summer day. While this beach is not "officially" dog friendly ????, it is most definitely #DogstableAbbey Approved.

Jordan Shapiro

While the town is a bit 'quaint', the beach is quite lovely. Fine sand, shallow for ages, not too busy. Definitely a great (and quite cheap actually!) place to rent a large family cottage for the weekend and get some relaxing in.

Nabeelah K

The water is pretty clean and the beach is small and a bit crowded but really nice. Although we went on a day it rained we caught a rainbow so it was worth the visit :)

Manpreet Singh

Good wavy Beach but crowded and public washrooms are far.

Bogdan Malaelea

About the half-moon tent incident. Need to handle it more professionally.

Soham Nagi

I Personally found this beach to crowded and small. Still better than some other beaches in Toronto. This place is also tough to get to as it's pretty far and in the middle of nowhere. Food also seems like an issue since the only restaurant I remember seeing was a time Hortons

Usama Ahmed

Nice and clean beach. Good for family fun and see the view

Janusz Roginski

The beach looks beautiful. There are public washrooms and change rooms. The problem is that it is now open only to the residents. Tourists from outside can only watch over the fence. Covid-19 times, eh?

Amber Ashraf

It was nice specially in heat wave water was warm. We enjoyed alot. There is beach entry fees 5 dollar but its free after 6 pm.

TOM

Nice and clean my favorite...

Alfredo Torres de los Ríos

Beautiful beach.

Sal Blite

For a simple public beach, so many rules a regulations. Don't bring this, don't do this, don't act this way or you'll get kicked out. It's a beach ⛱, leave me alone .

Melany Vasquez

Clean, friendly staff, definitely visiting again

Julie Bojcevski

We love this beach, our kids love the beach, just wish that some of the visitors would clean up after themselves a little better.

Kurtis Elsliger

Nice beach. Sucks you need to pay to park your car.

Kiran Mulchandani

Loved the beach. Super clean. You need to pay $5 for entry and the parking $2 per hour.

Maricruz GP

love it! its a close drive for a short notice beach trip.

Zalak Patel

Nice experience to having hang out with friends.. Good atmosphere though..

2 B Wired inc

Sandy, beach, sunny, watery... all in all a perfect recipe for an excellent staycation or a weekend getaway! Family friendly and one of the more southern spots in Canada! Maybe the palm trees will migrate North?! ???? wouldn’t that be cool! If you liked my review, let me know and hit “like” ????

HITESH

This is very beautiful beach. It's been managed by town of crystal beach and they keep it extremely clean. There is an entrance of 5 dollars per person plus you will have to pay for parking. Generally this beach is a bit crowded. But it is very safe for young kids as it is a managed beach. Beach area is very nice and sandy. The town of crystal beach is also great town to enjoy the evening after a tiring beach day.

Bob Dunn

Clean, well maintained beach that is very family friendly. Beautiful place!

Ethan

Beautiful great scenery and not to deep perfect for non swimmers

Bruno Inuggi

Clear water sandy beach but super crowded during summer. Changing rooms and bathrooms were in really good condition. They charge $5 and there is security to go into the beach.

Vitalii

We came from Toronto to this beach and did not let a family with a child in, but it turned out that this is not a public beach, but for local residents, and the beach is guarded (you need to show your ID that you live there) Wanted to pay for the entrance, they send somewhere for permission .... in short, it's just a shame .. I do not advise you to rest there ..

JOHN JAIRO GARCIA DIAZ

Beautiful beach, in summer one of the best plans to visit Cristal beach

Brian Dixon

A little busy for a Monday, but people spaced out. Nice sandy, wide beach with a very gradual entry into the water. Large swim area marked off with a boey line. Change room and washrooms available. There is no food or drink available for sake on site. Pay parking available , we paid $2 per hour.

Karl F

Local goverment taking advantage of COVID, and restricting access to outsiders. Odd. First time visiting, will never return. I guess local business doesn't need tourism.

honduran 79

Nice beach but its pretty small, its bordered by private property's. Best to go during the week as it fills up on the weekends ( shoulder to shoulder). Sometimes they close the beach because of water quality.

Nora SD

So relaxing. I like the idea of no food at the beach area but they have to have alternative options like food trucks as an example.

Vikram Maity

Lake Erie, being shallow, warms up faster than the other lakes. Which makes this a great place to go. The sand is not rocky underfoot and the water stays waist deep tiil quite far out. Excellent for kids and just some lazy wading under the sun. Be mindful though that alcohol is not allowed on the beach. You have to pay at the entrance, so carry your wallet. Parking is cash only, be prepared accordingly. The only reason I gave it a 4-star is because of the traffic to get there. The QEW is a disaster. But I would definitely go again

Kaushik Chotalia

Very nice and clean beach. They don't allow stove or anything related to BBQ. There is no place like park nearby the beach area so its hard for family picnic who are looking for mixed feeling of park and beach. There is enough beach area so if you have tent and stuff read then you guys are good to go. During the evening sand is very cool to play volleyball.

Andrea Seeloff

The beach was so nice and the water was great too! They are very strict on the rules and theres absolutely nothing to do there. Theres only a few restaurants and like two bars... but if you're really there for the beach it's good. I gave it a four only because there isnt anything to around there except for the beach.

Jonny Weber

I came here on Saturday July 13, 2019. They charge 5 dollars per person from 9am till 5pm on the weekends, and 5 dollars from 9am till 4pm during the week. Also its $15 for the day 10am till 6pm for parking. From from Victoria Day to Labour Day. Sometimes you can find parking for $10 too. The beach isn't that good for flatland skimboarding. My favorite beaches in Ontario for flatland skimboarding is Sauble Beach, Wasaga Beach & Long Point Beach I will say its a very clean beach.

J Rocha

Great new beach and playground!

Kannan Muthiah

The town is currently (Aug 2018) getting renovated. The main beach area and beach parking is under construction right now. There is a makeshift parking area by the beach. But they charge $10 flat fees. There are no washrooms in the beach. Hopefully the renovation addresses that. There are a few portable potties at the parking area. There are few other private parking lots just along the road for slightly cheaper price: $8 (of course that means more walking and no portable potties as well). There are many cottages that are very old. Including the one we stayed. We could see many house being renovated. There are a few row of new cottages as well. You just have to watch out for one when booking. The beach area gets very crowded by 11 am. So, get there early.

Peagirl R

Very nice beach, clean sand and shallow water so kids can play. Visit every year in the summer. Could do with more washrooms, always long lines. Parking is a hassle especially on weekends, can be expensive. Parking on the grass or any open spot can get you a ticket even if you pay.

Shane Veillette

Romantic , family oriented and safe with clean water and friendly people ... Love it here !

Ravi Sinanan

Great beach area perfect for everyone. Family friendly area with shallow waters

Julia C

The beach is nice, with clean, warm water and very few rocks. The beach is also quite clean. We went on a Tuesday and the beach was quite busy, so that may be something to keep in mind, especially if you're visiting on a weekend.

Jodi Braun

Nice beach, but always packed in the summer. A little overrated for what it is, lots of nicer beaches close by.

Sol Yohama Avalos Cevallos

We love it!! We went yesterday with our kids and enjoyed very very much, the water is not cold at all (of course I’m talking about summer time) and also it’s very clean, the sand feels good, it’s soft and have a nice color. You can walk a good distance and the high it’s still good for the kids. I like that they have this kind of carpet way that you can use to bring your stroller close to the beach with out any problem. The washroom are nice and clean, wit water fount for refills your bottle. We want to go back soon.

Cheryl Wilson

Beautiful beach. Sand was clean and the water warm. Look forward to returning.

Sue E

Nice beach, but charges admission of $5 per person plus parking $15. Security looks through all your things before entering beach. Very strict rules on types of sun coverage (no types of tents allowed). New restroom building. Make sure to get hand stamped for in/out privileges to use restroom.

Jayaseelan Kandasamy

Very good place to play in water with family.

Critical Reviewer

What a weird town, while some reviews call this beach cute. Bluntly this beach is filthy and too "redneck" for this century, if you call this a beach you need help.

Sabrina Lee

Great beach but relatively small. Parking is $15 but further away it is $10. Entrance fee is $5 per person and they check your bags. To go to the washroom you must get a stamp to re enter. Honestly not crazy about this beach. Gets quite busy.

Sagheer B

Very nice and clean family friendly beach. Nice warm water and not too deep near shores. You can go in and have a lot of fun even if you are not a swimmer. Nice soft sand. They have cordoned off the area with a safety line for both swimmers and the boats to keep them separate but I noticed some of the boats too close to that line, if someone loses control it can cause an accident. Apart from that concern it is a fun place to be. Free entry for 10 and under. Over 10 is $5 and another $15 parking fee if you're planning to stay over 4 hours. Place can get very crowded after 11am on weekends and you might get turned away so plan to be there early to avoid disappointment. And in the end, a big shout out to the lady at front checking bags and guiding people. She literally was handling everything all alone although that there were two more ladies sitting inside the front counter but barely doing anything. I feel sorry for you lady but let me tell you that you were doing a great job making sure that place was safe!

Shams Alkari

Feels like a very tourist beach experience, can find whatever you need for a fun outing like umbrella rentals, fried food, souvenir vendors, and other stuff. Water is nice, beach sand is very fine.. had its pitfalls in that it gets crowded and you have to pay for parking of course.

Jay Pathak

Amazing place! Clean water, sand beach, good crowd !

Caitlyn Trider

I personally love Crystal Beach. Besides the fact the people leave garbage everywhere it's a very clean beach. The only thing I dislike is that beyond the rocks and the other side no one can go pass unless you own a cottage. Last I checked it's a public beach and people should be able to go where ever they please.. No one owns the beach.

Sal Forte

Great beach! They are now doing construction to make it even better! Can't wait!!

Nilesh Soni

Beautiful and clean beach. Country side driving experience

Chris Poupart

It's an Alright beach A little dirty and the water is very cold, stays shallow for a long time It's very sad that they verify your lunch boxes or bags at the entrance for alcohol. Let people have drinks. If some people are obnoxious or bother people then kick them out, alcohol isn't the problem Why can't I enjoy a nice cold beer reading a book on the beach

P M

Super clean beach. With powdery soft sand. Water was clean and no weeds. There is a $5 per person charge. I think it was worth the cost as it is a very nice beach to go to with your family and kids! 5 stars!!!!!

Online Money Maker

Its good but parking was limited water was dusty but it was hot

Mariana Jerez

Even though the beach is nice it is very small. People have to pay $5 to get in. The worst is the person at the gate, extremely rude! She checks anything that you are bringing to the beach, she actually put her hands in your belongings. Very unpleasant

Neha C

1. Amazing beach to spend your day. The water is crystal clear and one can swim, play and spend time in warm water (summer specific :) 2. Parking fee $15, Entry fee $5 per person. 3. Not enough parking space around. That was a disappointment. You need to reach around 9am to get a good spot. 4. Not many food stores or eating places around. Make sure you get your food, snacks along.

Steve Du

Nice beach to visit, only 1.5 hours drive from Etobicoke. The water is clean and you don't step on weeds on foot while in the water, just the sand, so it's nice. Parking might be a problem if you don't stay overnight, but you can park for $8 - $10. It is quite crowded but nice. Don't get discouraged, enjoy people watching as well. It's fun watching people having fun! Come early so you get a better spot.

Marius Stan

The beach itself is quite nice; the sand is soft and the water is fairly shallow. My main complaint is that the beach was quite crowded and isn't very large as it's surrounded by a bunch of private property. The entry fee was also $5 per person (in addition to a $10 parking fee) and they check each of your bags.

Ileen Qaisar

Beach was beautiful, clean water, clean beach, family friendly. We were able to watch a group of ducks flying over us as we were enjoying in the water.

Carleen LeBlanc

Any beach you have to pay money to use is no longer a 'public' beach. Cleaner water and free beaches up north.

Shane Anne Sabarillo

$5/person to get in.. $10 max parking.. they search your bags, no alcohol, no glass containers, no where to buy food so bring lots of snacks

Veronica Ciolfi

Lovely beach, nice shallow entry to the lake with a smooth sandy bottom. Entry at the moment is limited to pass holders .

John Lakeroad

This is such a lovely place. Too bad the bureaucrats decided to step in. In order to charge an entry fee, effective for the first time this year. Well enough, should have been left alone. But still, the sand is magnificent and the water and breeze were spectacular today. Don't tell anybody or it'll get overcrowded.

Chantal Carter

This place is da bomb! The water is a little cool but lovely to swim in and you can go way out and it's still shallow. The sand is great and it's a chill vibe!

Izzy Kovacs

This beach is always packed with people! The beach is kept clean and it's a lovely place to go in the summer. If you don't want to go there while tons of people are there; go at night time. I also reccomend going to watch the sunset there. It is so beautiful

John Alexander

Currently only open to those that have a residents pass. The resident's pass can only be purchased by Fort Erie residents that can provide proof of residence.

Christina

If it was possible to give this place no stars I would that's how bad of experience I had. Okay you can't bbq or drink on the beach that's fine, but to have to pay to enter "a public beach'" is a load of bs! It's $5 entry fee, also they have security to go through your bags and coolers and EVEN SNIFF YOUR BOTTLE OF WATER ... am I going through airport security?!? Also the water was filthy and they have people roaming the beach like swat... you will never find me at this beach again ... worst experience ever "at a public beach".....

Jackie Watson

The beach is nice, can get crowded. The parking lot machines are always spotty with when they decide to work so it's always a line up to get your ticket. Better off trying to park on a side street.

Vitra Mohammed

Throughly enjoyed this beach. Get there early to set up in a great spot. Gets a little crowded but for me it was worth it.

Rohit Malik

One of the cleanest beaches in the entire province of Ontario. With beautiful blue water, amazing sparkling sand and great restaurants located near by you could not ask for more. Spend the day enjoying the water and relaxing on the beach. It is worth the drive. I have heard many people compare the beauty to that of California and the Carolina's. Crystal Beach will impress.

Peter Grant

Over crowded to the point that we were unable to get in by 12.30pm.

Josh Lin

Awesome beach! Very nice and relaxing at night with Rob the fireworks dude!!!

raghav patel

Nice beach but very small

Kevin Tutty

Great beach nice little town

EGxHam

Nice beach but crowed. Good crown, very well organized and patrolled with decent facilities. Good family beach. Try to avoid busy weekends if you don’t like crowds.

Delores V. Mullings

Excellent to spend time on a real beach. Be aware that dog lovers have their dogs off leach on this beach and the public side is very limited. It is mostly privately owned by people for the Unites States of America. You can see a beautiful sunrise in the spot. There is limited paid parking and some free spots. No alcohol is permitted on the beach.

Babar Khan

Its a limited capacity but Lovely , nice, charming and honeymoon beach. Clean water like a superior lake. Washroom and changing room fantastic. $5 Each person. $4 Per hour car parking. No pets, No Bar bq, no fire, not stoves allowed.

ApplyTheSalt

Very clean, well kept by the great community of Ridgeway/Crystal beach. Great staff, clean water. Lots of fun

Fernand Cheong

Used to be free. Now it’s like 20$ for two people. Ridiculous

Jaimee Archibald

It's great without all the American and Toronto traffic! Went today with my 2yo son and had a great time

Laura Scrivener

Crowded but that's too be expected. A lovely beach. Reasonably priced

Judge Dredd

Such a fantastic beach to spend the day on. Loved it. Will definitely be coming back.

Vinee Vaid

It’s was great, sunny clean beach!

Davor M

Best. Beach. In. Ontario

Darlene K

Beach is like a little piece of a large beautiful beach. Shallow for quite avways, great for little ones.

Habtay Haile

Amazing family beach, clean well kept. It was my first time, definitely going back again .

Dan D

Clean water and beach. Limited free parking. Some of pay parking. Very small bathrooms that close by 6. One chip truck and a vendor who rents umbrellas a day sells sunglasses etc. No lifeguard but security at the gates to check for alcohol in your cooler. BBQ not permitted.

Gabby Mirand

There were all white sands and there was barely any garbage in the water. The only thing was it was a bit crowded but I love going to this beach

Ray Nebollo

A good beach with plenty of sand. The depth of beach is good, to prevent overcrowding. Access to the beach is controlled with passes or payment. The water is a comfortable temperature (July) and clear. Parts of the shoreline may have pebbles that may make it hard on some feet. The street that runs behind the beach has several bars, restaurants and businesses. The beach is wheel chair accessible.

Nathalie Torres

The beach itself is nice and clean but the town messed it up by charging a $5 fee per person to get in and making the street parking a pay parking. You now have to pay five bucks (credit or coins only) and $15 for parking. They also check coolers throughly and bags as well (which is ilegal). Their reason? You now have washrooms instead of outhouse and wifi that doesn't work.

Adam Price

Sonnova beach.

Jay-ar Avecilla

Great place but the area is relatively small compared to other beaches. We went here during the summer and its holiday, it was a bad experience for me because it's overcrowded and nowhere to put your stuff.

Denise Duarte

Beautiful beach and very clean!

Arjun Singh Saroy

The water quality was really bad, but Ofc I don't blame the water for it

Paula Optis

AKA Crystal beach. Parking across the street, paid @ $4.00 per hour or $15 for the day. At this moment, August 6, 2020, non-residents are not allowed. There is a gate and entry will not be permitted unless you have a residence card. Very nice beach.

HOCINE CAN

Nice Place. Clear water just like Crystal ????

Black Cobra

Clean changeing rooms + washroom Entrance $5/per person + $ 15 parking for whole day Security bag checks (no alcohol, bbqs, smoking on beach property) Water is clean as well as the sand. Great getaway beach to visit!!! The only thing that's missing is a shower rooms. Or at least outside shower. Please keep that in mind .

Usman A

Nice clean family friendly beach

Shari Harper

On the Southcoast of Canada this beach offers a place to enjoy sun and sand in a family atmosphere. Well kept and monitored.

Sonny's World

We came here for a good beach and were extremely upset right off the bat. First off all, no tents were allowed, it was packed with people and one staff was incredibly rude. We asked her for a refund and we handed over the bracelets. She said "We don't do that" and threw the wristband away. We had this umbrella thing to protect us from the sun but apparently it was somehow bothering others despite us being about 5 meters from any other family near us. Dumb staff roam the beach and don't let people rest and always make sure you're not doing anything forbidden. They didn't even allow glass bottles and containers! The only benefit is that the sand is nice and so is the water. Do not come here! Go to Rock Point Provincial Park instead! Also if the freaking owner responds to this disproving anything here, it's all a lie to make their business look good.

Rajeeshun Arudchelvam

One of best beaches, close to Niagara and Toronto. This is kind of hidden gem. We went on August long weekend and water was not cold. We will visit here next year too

Lucy Diachok

For my first time, I really enjoyed it. Not busy at all for a long weekend.

Ryan Attoe

Can be a great beach if you avoid the crowds. If you go on a weekend, just imagine the zombie apocalypse, then add stupidity, and you'll be well prepared.

Sara R S Leite

My favorite beach

Darlene Oakley

Although I didn't get to visit the beach, I did get to see quite a bit of the town while I was there for an art show. It is an artist's paradise. If you need a quaint Ontario town to get lost in or wander around to get metropolis out of your system this is the place to go.

Nixo Night

Best beach ever controled and supervised with enforced security great for young families and laid back groups looking to relax

Shadow F.

Nice beach, its a good way to spend some family and quality time near the beach.

Dan Gabriel

It's beautiful... Too bad it's closed. It is set to open Friday. June 26th 2020.

Julie Young

The water is very clean and sparkling. The sand is very soft and fun to play with. Very spacious and lovely.

Nelsonnvzx AAAZAASCSBuera

Beach and water very nice, and clean. Also has very clean washroom.

Wicked Shoots

No alcohol allowed.. at a beach.... Enough said? They have also started charging for entry which is ridiculous for having so many stupid rules. Avoid this beach if you want to have fun

Aj Francis

Clean and free for everyone

George A.

The beach itself was nice but very crowded with many families with small children. Parking was close enough to walk to the beach and was not overly pricey. The organization / caretaking of the beach and surrounding facilities was abysmal! There is a fee of $5/person to enter A PUBLIC BEACH, and nobody informed me prior that this fee is waived after 5pm. There is no reason for this fee since there is no service of any kind being provided at the beach itself. Upon entering the beach there is a scrutinizing "security check" (this is not Pearson Airport by the way). The changing / bathroom facilities list closing time at 8pm, but the cleaners lock it up way before "for maintenance" without giving any valid reason or let anyone change. "The manager" of the whole operation is very unprofessional and inexperienced, there is no way to lodge a complaint with him in person, he only told us to: "deal with the City for complains". Overall, unprofessional employees, haphazardly run "beach business" operation and lack of outreach to the visitors. I will not be returning and would recommend others to avoid this beach.

Mango Family

The beach is fine. It is surrounded by private beaches. You can walk along the shore but you can't sit on the beach at these beaches. We are here during off peak, but during peak you have to pay to access the public beach

S M

You need a pass to go in and pay, but still overcrowded.

Adi

The new overhauled(as of 2019) public beach is amazing! Strict beech rules also really help keep this beautiful waterfront an actual beech rather then a campground which is what it used to be prior to these new rules...must see! ;)

Marilyn Pryce-Samuels

Great beach with white sand and beautiful clear water.

Ahmed El-Roby

Almost no one was on the beach the day we went because it was raining earlier. It was quiet, beautiful, and calm. The kids enjoyed the beach and didn't wanna leave.

Irshaad Juthan

Very nice place to come, not to many people and just a big beach. It was a very sunny day but the water was soo cold hihi.

Hasnat Khairul

Nice beach. But Victoria day to labour day, if you want to access the beach, you need to pay $5 for each adult and also you have to pay for parking. So, either be ready to pay or visit outside this period.

Cristian Lupu

Well maintained and clean beach, very good for families with young children

xuk lady

Great changes. But cleaner and free Wi-Fi

Alexandra Smogolyk (Smog)

Not bad, I wish the boats weren't parked so close to the beach...

Kevin Coyle

Great beach if you can get on

Mike Plourde

This is definitely one of the nicest beaches in Southern Ontario. Amenities all around and nice rest rooms on changing areas. Not a family beach though. Men walking around with thongs on. Invasive security. And overcrowded. Overpriced parking and entry fee.

Adis Leyva

We love Crystal Beach. Now they are charging entrance fees but I liked it. Now we have people patrolling the beach making sure the smokers are smoking outside the beach perimeters and it is awesome. Also, they are taking care of the garbage regularly which keeps it clean and tidy. Good job whoever came up with the idea. PS: the mini park and bathrooms are awesome!

How Sweet It Is Cake Studio

Clean, safe, fun and beautiful!

AL MARSH

Great Beach also known as Crystal Beach in Ontario Canada, Shallow Warm Water of Lake Erie makes Bay Beach the place to be next to great restaurants & Cafes on Erie Road

Stan Antoci

Nice place. Just started to charge 5 dollars for admission. No tents or gazebos allowed.

Manette Brown

Walked along beach - clean & serene prior to seasonal influx of summer residents

Luke Zebrowski

Got there nice and early. Great sand but the water was a bit shallow a cold.

Lp Vermette

Beautiful beach. There is free parking but no accommodation on the beach. Tge only available toilets are in the parking which is 5 minutes from the beach. The water was clean and warm. The town has a pleasant vibe.

Krishaan the lego boy

Pls dnt waste your time and money.

Raymond Zara

Beautiful soft sand....great beach vibe

:0

Hate the park staff. Theyre so annoying. The beach was packed

June Punton

Church on the Beach a non denominational service, rain or shine. 9 - 10 am. Be early to get close parking.

Katie

Parking fees went up, plus an additional $5 to ENTER THE PUBLIC BEACH (said no one ever). That's a big no. Also, WTF is up with the airport security type checks as well?! Turned our food completely over, no glass containers among other things. No beach tents to shelter especially for kids and infants?!?!?!?!? You guys insane? People understand the event tents not being allowed (they also don't belong) but half shelters?! We saw someone with an umbrella tent that was larger than the shelter tent we were going to put up and somehow that was fine because it was "considered" an umbrella. This is absurd. Not to mention the staff being unfriendly and security all over the beach. Crystal was always a fan favourite, good luck with that this year. This needs to change ASAP.

Diana Bernardo

Beautiful beach with clean, clear water. The section of the beach closest to the walkway has quite a few pebbles and stones so I recommend walking a bit further. Parking is anywhere from $10 to $15 for the day which is not bad but you also have to pay $5 per person which is not the norm for beaches in Ontario. It's worth it though if you're spending the day here.

hany s

Love it, warm clear water and sandy beach but no food facilitys on beach

Muhammad Ali Tipu

Nice & clean beach..have to pay $10 for parking all day & paid entry except before 6 am or after 4 pm. Some food shops are around.nice & clean washrooms

Longway

Great beach, very clean when there's no much people there (like during the week). However, during our Sunday visit we could already see plastic cutlery in the sand, cans of beer in the water... too bad nothing can be done with the pigs that also come here.

Andrew Coughlan

Beautiful beach but what's up with the airport like bag checks? And who charges 10$ for parking and the an additional $5 person to get into the public part of the beach?!? WTF! This can be done better. This isn't an amusement park or a concert venue.

Ed & Lin So

Loved the beautiful beach. Clean beach with white sand. Great crowd and a lot of New York cars at the the parking lot.

Michael Shaver

Beautiful scenery. Police patrolling.clean .

Renee Grove

This beach has alot of potential. Very quiet area and very clean. There is a parking charge of $4/hour $10 maximum, which is fine if the people getting paid to watch it and clean do their job correctly. There isn't supposed to be glass or alcohol allowed and there were a group of teens there that had both and the workers watched them the whole time and did not enforce any of those rules. There is a concession stand, but the food is a little pricey (burger $7.50, fries $3.00) but smelled really good. Parking lot is just steps from the beach.

Saurabh Vaidya

Great beach. You have to pay for the entry.

S Adamucci

Beautiful beach...beautiful sunsets

Lisa Pogue

Crystal beach is beautiful and so close to home. Great way to spend a warm day.

David Reeve

Lovely beach, so sorry to see $5 charge to use it

Thoy Hurli

Busy. Busy. Busy, but the reason it's so popular is because of how beautiful and accessible every thing is. Construction is a pain but it is easy to see the improvements coming

Elise Richard

Haven't been to this beach in years! Wow, the work they have done made our visit amazing. I'll definitely be going lots this summer. Be warned, for the 2020 season, it is for local residents only (you need a pass).

Ronald Ryckman

Because it's well maintained, clean, & we can social distance

CeeCee Rosa

It was still beautiful even with most things being closed due to it being off season but it was still clean and they're even making a new area that looks like its going to be a very nice beach spot.

manñy bhandari

Clear water...well maintained..

Felipe Zwanzger

I was very impressed with tbe beach. White sand, very populated, nice people. Very quiet zone. I want to leave there!!! ZWANZGER

Greg Martin

Nicest people in the Niagara Region live here

Nouman Arif

Clean sandy Beach with some restrictions.

Lorelei Caballes

I don't normally write reviews and this is my first review ever in Google. We’ve been planning to check out Crystal Beach the past two years but we only got to do it yesterday. The new Bay Beach facility charges entrance fee of $5 per person. Kids 10 y.o. & below are free. Parking is $10 on Canada Day. For a beach that charges entrance fee, you’d think they would at least have an outdoor shower area but nope. Even a nearby snack bar is non-existent. They had to check all your bags, coolers, and other belongings before entering causing bottleneck at the entrance. The most disappointing part was they prohibited us from bringing in our sun shade as only umbrellas are allowed. The reason being is people brought huge tents last year. It would’ve been nice if they allowed sun shades and just prohibited tents. Sun shades don’t take up too much space, vertically and horizontally. So rather than getting sun-burned, hubby walked at the strip to find a small umbrella which costs $44 (what a rip off). The beach is ok, water is somewhat clear but kinda rocky at the shore. I feel bad for the residents having to pay a fee if they want to go here. Other beaches like Sauble, Grand Bend or Cobourg only let you pay for parking and you’re free to go, no inspections, no restrictions. It was a let down. Not keen on going back to this beach.

Nagaraj Singoji

Good place to have fun time with family and friends

cynthia hales

Beautiful & clean

Kara C

Meh. We used to go here all the time. I do like the additional security - not crazy about how they do pat people down. There is an additional amount of garbage cans as well. I do not like the increase charge in parking in the neighborhood and the $5 charge to get in for people. Also apparently during the day when we visited the water quality was tested and it was deemed unsafe to swim but we weren't told us while we were there (we checked online before we went).

Kenny Lee

Beautiful, clean and recently updated! I recommend this beach for the whole family! Nice sand and hardly any rocks when you walk out towards the water. Not too much waves either.

Errol Roach

Water clean, atmosphere nice, and the crew is having fun. What else can you ask for. Giving thanks.

Sandra Fuenmayor

Clean and well organized

Jasmine Campos

So nice. You do have to pay for parking and also for entrance to the beach (personally I don't mind) also no alcohol allowed. Other than that the sand and water are perfect. It gets quite busy

Rafael Castillogt421111111112333345678901uteq dgf

I loved the beach ,I dont know why they charge $5 dolars but if they are charging that amount they should at least offer something else, like showers after the beach because the washrooms are used and the sinks are full of sand how the municipality can not open at least 10 showers so they justified the charge.I thought beaches are public.

Guy Burton

Never go back, $5 per person charge plus parking plud bag search and confiscating our 1 year olds baby shade to keep the sun off her? Unbelievable and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Joanna Montanaro

Lots of parking nearby for $8 to $10/day.

Tiffany Nelson

Beautiful area! It is gated and there is someone charging and checking bags and coolers

Derek Schierholtz

Crystal clear water. Nice sandy beach. Should have more garbage cans spaced out around the beach to avoid littering. I'd say this beach and Georgian bay are the only clean water beaches Ontario has left

Lucy Voskalo

My late is always eo creamy and tasty not watery like other Starbucks locations ????

Chris Heald

Really nice beach, but very very busy.

Gilberto Palacios

Excellent .Clear Water, beautiful beach.so many people, and the sun so hat , Clare sky Cristal Beach is so Beautiful, take the QEW,West of Niagara fallsTo Hwy.116 to Cristal Beach..

Affan Umar

Nice beach ... sucks no icecream shops or food at the beach but was nice

Samuel Eid

Nice beach specially after the renovation, just missing showers and more parking space

Elizabeth Conners

Understand having to pay for parking but not to pay again to access the beach, parking $15+$5 each for beach . So 2 cars plus 5 adults 1 baby. So $55 no barbecue allowed and they check all bags. But maybe it was just the shock of having to pay to access a public beach. In Toronto you don't have to pay for either can have a barbecue and no bag check but lots of security to make you feel safe.

Todo Rong

A little bit small. But it's fun.Frist time there. Kids loved there.Planing going there again before school.

Isabel Melo

Loved it!!! Clear water. Clean beach!! Such a great day!!

Yogesh Thumbdiya

Nice small beach with good sand and warm water. Parking - 4$/hour (15 $ full day till 9PM) Beach entry fees- 5$/person (after 6 PM free entry) Washroom and changing room are available. Note: Glass bottle, alcohol, pets and tents are not allowed.

Avni Hasa

Crystal Beach is one of the best beaches in Ontario. However, I want to share with you my experience that I had last Sunday at the main entrance. I went there with my family and we followed all the rules that are there to enter on beach, but there were one of the lady-staff member acting very rude at the entrance, I felt very bad in front of my kids because of her insane behaviour. I think that s/one have to teach her how to act with people when is in that position; she is there to serve properly and to respect costumers. We drove 150km, paid hotel, paid parking, paid ticket to enter the beach, and we deserve some respect and collaboration because from those money the staff there get their wage …..!

M K

Calm and perfectly sandy beach

nelya malishevskyyyb@mail.ru

Great!!!

Ed

Way too crowded, not large enough, and they charge for entry

Catherine Medeiros

It’s a nice beach but you have to pay for it. Parking was 15$, 5$ per person to get in the beach. They search your bags before you go into the beach you can’t bring any alcohol you pretty much can’t do anything on this beach. I was there today and there was nothing special no lifeguards no restaurants and no variety stores. Don’t waste your time going to Crystal Beach

Denis Castellanos

Amazing place for a day trip to the beach, great place to bring the family and come down with friends. A few things to keep in mind. 1. Arrive early no later than 9am if you want to find a parking spot in the city lot. Max for day $15 CC only no cash. Additional parking on side roads but got to pay too same rate. 2. Entrance is $5pp kids 10 or less free, they give u a wristband for re-entry. 3. Umbrellas only no tents allowed 4. They do bag check and cooler check so keep that in mind for your ???? 5. No bbqs allowed too Great beach super clean and warm water, no food vendors onsite so bring your food already packed. To get in and out of the beach area there are sand carpets to help bring stuff in and out of beach area. First time visitor, will definitely recomend and will come back again.

Kaitlyn Steeves

Used to love this beach. Drove 3hrs to spend $10 on parking (only paid parking is available now). Then found out there is now an entrance fee of $5 per person to get on the beach. Ridiculous. Fee was not advertised anywhere. Definitely will not be back to this area.

Orsolya Kako

Shame on the city for daring to charge $5 per person for a municipally owned city beach. I’ve never encountered this and this should not be allowed by local government!!

Ghita Belkady

Clear water for swimming but beach very crowded. You bearly find a place to sit. Nice playground for kids and washrooms.

Amisha Gupta

Awesome beach in Fort Erie. Really big and beautiful shore line.

khalid khan

If i could give it less stars i would. No proper parking area no place to get yr stuff setup. Barely enough room to breathe. 0 .. Infact -0infinity stars. This is not a beach this is b***h.

S Hanson

A little disappointed that there is no facilities for changing. They do have a lot of porta potties.

Santosh Kadel

Clean water... enjoyed a lot

Amit Brahme

A great place to enjoy waves, beach sand and views of sun. Nested in a nice community

J S

Used to be good until they started charging admission and had security at the gates.

Deepika Gurung

Water is warm. Able to stay in water all day

Filipe DaSilva

Noreen Nesbitt

Asha Sareka Singh

Beautiful place for the whole family

Wafai Bichay

Beautiful place!!

Pepe Carro

Not soo public, not soo beach... You have to pay to access. Lots of restrictions and rules plus, really crowded.

Harry Le

Nice Beach, 5$ entry unless you own or rent one of the beach houses where they get private access to the beach. Parking around is also around 15$. Beach area seems to have gotten a renovation it looks really nice and clean (washrooms and change rooms too). Water is on the colder side not wavy. Came on a p.d. day so lots ok kids and families.

john p

Clean, family oriented with pleasant police on site. Sand is soft. Some algae in water though. Great location.

Mike Letina

Clean and Sandy. Water cool though

M Saadullah

Over crowded. Parking is insufficient and expansive and now you have to pay 5/person to enter the beach. It used to be a gopd place but now its a victim of commercialization.

Maria Chaves

Wonderful ????

Victoria Aleinik

10-4pm weekdays and 9-4pm on weekends is $5 to get access to the beach. They search bags too. Outside of thoese times u CAN enter for free. So arriving early the better. Beach Tents, smoking and drinking are not allowed They will only allow beach umbrella set up on the beach. Paid parking everywhere even on back streets. It is $15 dollars for the day. The have wifi on the beach, a washroom and changing area and dprays to wash ur feet. Weekends is very crowded with lots of family's. They have sectioned off the beach for the public and the private part. You cannot set up on the private part but u can walk and explore those areas. Water is clear and the sand is so nice.

Helder

Private usage for residential area and renter's . water is clean , perfect swimming depth for family and children, near by some local restaurants and ice cream parlor

Bashar H

Beautiful area, but unwelcoming community. Ppl underestimate the virtue of hospitality, even and especially in difficult times. With less welcoming gestures, visitors are discouraged from engaging in a healthy relationships with the community. Simply they'll go somewhere else more welcoming. With fewer ppl, vibrancy fades and there does a big chunk of the local economy. Poor business, Less property tax revenue and either higher per capital tax or bad infrastructure and poor facilities leading to even less interest in the area and that's a progressive decline. Hospitality and generosity are children of the mother of virtues, courage upon which Canads was founded.

Chris Seymour

They took my beer away :( but the beach was nice.

Alexander Megas

Beach volleyball courts are very nice

Prashant Mehta

Very nice, sandy beach and warm water makes me very happy to enjoy swimming and playing in water.

9,999,999 M

They now charge entry fee and have cops patrolling the beach giving you a fine for having a beer which last time i checked is legal in Canada

Darshak Bambharoliya

Nice and peaceful place for refresh your mind.

Yaroslav Pasichnyk

Compared to this customer service even a strip club bouncer is a nice guy.

Fabian Delgado

Nice clean beach. Clear water. Great atmosphere

Jason Bourne

No tents, no dogs, no alcohol, no fires, no smoking or vaping allowed. There are no trees and no shade even. Overcrowded. No inflatable boats allowed. No fun. At least there are public change rooms here.. Just go to Bernard beach if you want more privacy and freedom.

Carolina Salgado

They changed the rules and started charging. Not being able to bring a tent to give shade to my newborn is crazy! It used to be a great place to go but not anymore

Jennifer Stefanits

The beach is stunning beautiful clean however with the security its so disorganised have to pay to get in and for parking

Hennie Hoenselaar

Upcoming beach town with some amazing beaches near the Lake.

Lisa Bizzoni

Water is nice and clear and clean. Sand is amazing.

Bonnie Pontillo

Clean beach clear water. No lifeguards free sunscreen

Gerubia Cenatus

It was great. Its $5 per person and kids under 10 is free. You pay for parking too. At meater.

KB Irani

Enjoyed the beach with family.. had to walk a bit as the parking wasn't close by and was also full

Marinela Carag

Public beach in Fort Erie. Came here on the Friday prior to the Canada Day long wkend @ 8:30am. About 5 people on the beach. Tends to get crowded around noon so come early to get a spot close to the water. Beach/water is extremely clean. Great for kids/families. No fee to enter the beach but parking is $4/hr or $10 for the day. Public washrooms on site. No food/concession stands in the beach so bring food/drinks.

Tony C

Wow. Great beach and super clean. Water is clear and sand is clean! Been visiting here for some time now and always enjoy our experience. Crystal Beach seemed to have died down over the years, but WOW, it’s totally coming back. There’s some great shops around and some great restaurants. Arrive early as parking is now limited due to the renovations and construction but it doesn’t affect the beach itself. There’s plenty of locals which visit their cottages and everyone seems to be friendly. Totally will be visiting over and over!!

Natural Ready

There have come to be too many rules; always no bbq, but now no cabanas or tents and security on hand to check bags. Was told it was for child safety, but seems ridiculous and a megaphone could do the job to find a missing kid.

Eden Hojberg

Our favourite place this summer. Feels safe being for residents only! ????

D Pa

Amazing beach with very clear water.

Lauren Kutzler

Too busy, and costs 5$ per person. There are way better beaches that are free and less crowded.

Remi Okubote

Beautiful beach, clean place. I look forward to visiting the beach again and again.

Daniel Brabant

Great beach on Erie Lake. Very strict to enter. Cost is 5$/person

Arpit Prajapati

It’s very cool place for sunbath and children can play happily

Lisette Gonzalez

Super busy but the clear water was worth the drive and crowds

Ashwin Rampadaruth

Great beach. Don't like the charge to get in when you don't even have a place to put your stuff

Marilyn Silluzio

Still love it here. Clean beach & remodeled. They charge a small fee & check your bags before you can enter. Have a beautiful playground & restrooms!

Not Your Biz

Here is what you need to know 1. There is a 5 dollar entry fee per person 2. Parking ranges from 10 to 15 a car for the day 3. No tents allowed. You can bring an umbrella It's a nice beach. Clean. Warm water. It is small and does get crowded There are decent places to eat and grab a snack although they get crowded and the town could do with a few more options I

jade januchowski

Very nice beach, can be a little crowded and hard to find parking but otherwise a great beach!

Vivian Y

Very nice beach, will come back next year. :)

Ken C

Nice clean beach with beautiful waters. Crowded, but not unacceptably so. The area you see under construction in the Google Satellite view is all finished now, with washroom facilities.

Amtul Moeez

It was good if you find a nice spot.... Too crowded n didn't had washroom to shower. Sand banks is better.

Greg Robinson

Privatise we were not welcome to this place it's a waste of time to go there members only .

Tiny Toon

I understand the local government tries to protect community. But ruling out policies like 'beach is for local residents only' gives a throw back to really unpleasant historical events of the last centuries. Same way Mississauga could say 'YYZ airport is for residents only', or Toronto could say 'our hospitals are for residents only'. Sounds stupid? Let's stop propagating this hate

Heidi R

Nice warm water. Washrooms could use cleaning more regularly. Beach is nice. Crowded but thins out around 4pm.

Geo S

Nice beach close to Toronto. Can get really crowded in hot summer days.

Gabriela Lavignasse

Beautiful beach. Clear, warm water and fine sand.

Gregory Mitchell

Family friendly stretch of beach on Lake Erie

Scott Checcino

Upgrades made it better. Paying to get on the beach, not so much

charlene spence

Very clean nice beach. The is a $5 fee to get in for people over 10 yrs old. I definitely would recommend it it's worth the 2 hour drive.

Mary Chatz

This is the public use beach at Crystal Beach. It has nice powdery sand and it is quite shallow so perfect for families and their kids. Note, during the summer there is a $5 per person charge to use the beach.

Shabi T

Love going to this beach. Been going here for a decade now. Go here at least once a summer. The water isn't too cold and pretty clean for a beach in Ontario. I went here this year on a long weekend, and it was very packed but there was still a lot of room in the water to swim. They now got a security guard waiting at the front to go through belongings. Don't like the fact they charge you $5 a person to get onto the beach but if it keeps the beach maintained, can't complain. Would rather pay and go to a well maintained clean beach instead of go to a free but non maintained beach.

Eva Eden

An awesome little beach town. VERY busy on long weekends but great for a week long cottage vacation.

Steven Giankoulas

Overall the beach quality is good. The disappointment comes with the decision to charge $5 per person at all beach entrances. Is this not a public place for visitors? Such strict regulations should not be allowed. There is also a problem with security as you and your belongings are throughoutly touched and checked for alcohol and other substances the beach determines is illegal. However security is quite poor beyond the checkpoints as many people and underage kids snuck alcohol in over a small fence. Disappointed with the regulations of this beach and will not be returing

Nathan Arsenault

Very nice beach.. nice place to go... well kept

Wendy Tucker

Building a new parking and concession facility. Looks like it will be very nice

Shaun Smith

Great beach. Town could use some revival.beach can get too busy on long weekends

Nehiyaw Builder's

What an amazing beach Definitely gonna go back there and enjoy the large sandy beach

Carol

It is the best beach in Ontario.

Invincible Me

Beautiful beach. Clear water. Shallow beach. Great place to enjoy in water. Parking is limited. So be there early or you have to park on the roadside. There is entry fee for beach of $5 per person.

Shay

Water here is very warm but the tide can get high

Joe Barbosa

Perfect sunrise Beach.

deborah pearson

my dog loves swimming there when it's clean

Brittany Meloche

We love this beach for the cleanliness! There are many improvements happening in the area and lots of little shops, and great restaurants to go check out! Nice place to bring family and friends.

Maria Mendoza

Fun,Clean. The water is cold.but we had fun

Jesse Arthur

Nice beach. But have to pay

Bernard Filice

The brand new public Pavilion is sparkling clean and beautiful in its own right. Unfortunate that the stretch of beach is short. I would highly recommend however, adding overhead showers at the footbath station and maybe 3 well placed showers on the beach, particularly given the water quality issues on Erie. Otherwise had a near perfect beach day with the family this past Tuesday.

Robert Arbuthnott

Fun place. Town is quaint. Good place to relax

Jade MacDonald

They charge you to get in the beach which is crowded and small. You cant find anywhere to park and you pay 8 $ for that as well. Going was a big waste of time. You're better off going to a different beach near by.

Eduardo Ferreira

Nice place ti spend the day.

UmmeSalama Barodawalla

Nice place to experience a change in outdoor activities, is generally packed though with parking generally a problem, the public parking areas fill up fast so people end up parking on the streets outside peoples homes which does not go down well with the home owners. Also, we did not see any shops selling items you could really use on the beach like a beach umbrella or mat or something, from where we entered which is the main entrance.

Beautiful beach

Ash “abs” Sal

Went with family and friends. Was busy but still space to set our tent. Beach guards were on stand by for any mishaps. Parking is at walking diatance, for $10 cash or a bit far on a personal parking lot for $8 cash. Water was not the best, cleanliness wise but was ok. Next to it is a private beach, separated by some rocks

Great place !

Nice clean small town beach.

Crystal clear water!

Brenda Mejia

Water was so clear???? great family beach

Worst Beach! It is way too crowded to do anything. People are literally arms length side by side all along the beach. If you drive a little east towards Bernard Ave Beach its a little lot that is also crowded with private property signs next to it. Not worth checking out! Go to Wasaga

Dark shadowz

Clear water, nice clean beach. Not busy at this time due to Covid 19 and you require a pass.

Always came here with the family and always loved it, beautiful beach and great area. Over the last couple of years they have been undergoing renovations and finally this year they reopened the entire beach. It used to be free entry but now $5 per person +$15-$20 parking not worth it if you are going with a big group.

M Mehmet

Great experience nice place we had a great time

Bob C

Absolutely beautiful beach, nice water, nice little town..... but on top of parking fees, the local town council has foolishly decided they want to charge $5 per person to access the beach, and for that you get to spend your day on a fenced, security patrolled enclosure, where having an alcoholic beverage would be treated as though you committed mass murder, such is life in Victorian, Ontario, don`t waste your time, instead drive another 10 minutes west to the open and free Pleasant Point beach

Beautiful beach. There's a reason why they call it Crystal beach. Family friendly but very crowded.

Mads S

The beach smelt like bare kush and I was starving because I wasn't allowed to bring in my glass container lunch, and broke since I was caught off guard paying an entrance fee. What a wild experience FOR A BEACH.... IN ONTARIO.

Nice sand and water but easily the busiest public beach I've ever been to (and I grew up around Wasaga) It was a complete swarm of people, tons of Sun tents so you don't really get a view of the water. We had some issues with inconsiderate people which is too bad since you're all so close to eachother. But that being said, in spite of the large numbers of people the beach is kept quite clean.

Terry Finley

Beautiful beach ,nice swimming, but no canopies allowed.

Daniel Golubnichy

Oh my gosh, this place is BAD. First, airport security checks are run and they search your belongings. Next, most staff are rude. Finally, all the rules are dumb. (No tents, umbrellas need to be vertical, more garbage) Don't come here! And don't listen to the owner!

Julie Alcaine

great for kids the water level is low and the water gets warm fast. only umbrellas and during Covid you need a residential pass to gain entrance

Ed Lehardi

The beach has a good amount of visitors. Not too crowded. Quite a few businesses nearby closed.

Mandy W

Nice beach and I'm ok with the fee it get in. Don't enjoy feeling like I'm going into a high level security area. Although I do understand why they needed to change the way the beach was being abused I feel it's a little over the top. This was my first visit to this beach and the town is absolutely lovely and luckily there are other beaches just a short drive away. I hope this doesn't hurt their tourism, the local people are so kind.

I bought vanila corn. I was so delicious.

Koddi Goreham

Nice beach! Too many people, no parking left when we were there.

David Taff

Amazing place to visit with your family. Clean beach

Artur

Actually it is very nice beach but in my opinion for the younger crowd. I am rating it as three stars only because of the overwhelming number of people packed together in fairly small area.

Hana Ghazal

This place needs proper washrooms and more free parking areas, in addition to providing showers on the beach to have baths after swimming on the lake.

Fransil Williams

Great beach. Love the area. But my concerns where not having a rinse and change area. So I refrained from going into the water.

Roberta Haines

I love crystal beach however it has changed pay for parking... pay for the beach... what's next??

Juvy Calipayan

Beach far from cottages and the barbecue are not good enough to cook. They have to buy a great barbecue

Been here a few years ago and when I arrived recently I couldn't believe they are charging 5 dollars to access a public beach and have security checking bags like your walking through Pearson airport. I cannot comprehend a beach that size charging when major beaches like wasaga only charge parking( which crystal also does as well) never seen such a obvious money grab which basically sums up todays society. cannot wait for crystal beach to charge accessing the air we breathe up there. very disappointing that the city is cash grabbing to pay for the much needed updated boardwalk they built. Must be taking notes on money grabs from our current prime minster.

Fresh water. Clean beach. Changing rooms and bathrooms. Park for children to play, scooters. Food places are there but are limited may be because of more residential area. But bring your own tent and chairs. Even though available for rent.

Deb Kay

I never get tired if the beautiful sunsets!

ashley cadotte

The beach is so clean!! Nice little town

Nick Bourne

There's something special about this place. perfect sand, shallow lake water, something ur not sure of but u know it's there

Jaspal singh MAROK

A nice little beach with crystal clear water. But be aware there are no lifeguards around

Ashlee Coderre

Had a small shade tent and had to take it down. So stupid. I understand the big huge ones but a small one no bigger than a towel...c'mon

Asad Shah

Exellent family beach near Toronto. Only issue is lack of facilities. Only Portable washrooms????

Alex Davis

Overpriced and general awful now that new security is in place. Not a place to enjoy a peaceful beach day.

Alicky Doukas

Crystal beach is bar none one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in Ontario I have been to so far. We go early to get a good spot cause it will get busy by noon. Have Fun and Enjoy! :)

Ingy Barclay

Nice beach with plenty of shore space. beautiful shallow warm (ish) waters. COVID precautions in place. I also like that no tents are allowed on the beach. Access to the beach for $5 per day plus $15 for parking. you get a bracelet to be allowed to re-enter the beach to use the washroom. putting a 4 because changing rooms were locked and there was no water fountain to refill your water.
