Grinning Dog

Don't tell anyone where it is, they'll just mess it up. It looks like it's out of a woody Allen movie.

What's there to rate?

Cool echoes. If you're ever here, try stomping in the middle. Also a good place to get out of the rain.

Vanessa McMahon

Beam me up! ????

Lori Pollard (Jazz Brat)

A fabulous peice of public art and architecture that has sadly been left to rot and decay. Extensively tagged, broken water fountain, garbage and drug paraphernalia everywhere. Was, and could be an incredible place, if the city would take an interest

Forgotten hideaway. Clap your hands in the center & enjoy.

Shari Kasman

If it looks like a UFO and seems like a UFO and if you imagine if it's a UFO, then maybe it's a UFO.

Haritha Kyanam

Beautiful place! Loved seeing people practice music!

Manuel Meneses

Recently renovated, with added explanation panels is worth the visit.

Nice hidden valley behind Queensway easily feels like a forest

Someone posted that this example of historic “Flushing Meadow”style architecture may soon be gone. It’s repainted and the triangle posts with the mirrors have a history of its origin and other examples of extreme “Arch having Swoop Designs” of the times on the sides. Some examples are from around here, others like the futuristic L.A.X. It’s just north of the Queensway on the Humber River Trail approximately one km west of Windermere just over the bridge.

So cool and trippy

If you're into architecture, you'll enjoy this. A really whimsical and forward-looking space age park pavilion that's been recently restored. They had an exhibit here recently explaining a bit of the context behind the building and it's restoration.

There was nothing much to see

Roman Tymchyk

Interesting little landmark that unfortunately has been abused since they closed the public facilities behind it maybe 20 years ago. Looks like there's some restoration work being done starting July 2020.

Teleporter for time travel, or perhaps it's just a picnic shelter, enter at your own peril

This is a nice path. Go for a stroll, a jog, or ride your bike. This path takes you to the white bridge. We went out for a walk today. Took some what looks to be either a walk trail or a bike path. So we can social distance. This path was nice to see that the tree is starting to go green. Happy that winter is done. But this path is also nice during the winter.

Oculus Pavilion is situated at South Humber Park. It's an interesting little spot for concerts or theatre plays in the summer. As for the rest of the year, the pavilion looks lost and abandoned.

This structure was originally deteriorating but had been nicely renovated the time I visited this small landmark. The Oculus Pavilion, originally a place for concerts, shows and other events now sits as a reminder of the history it carries over the years, as it sits in the heart of the Humber Park. There’s a small info board posted by the structure, and we had some fun playing with the echoes and sound projections that came out from shouting under the white plate with how it was formed. Sadly, other visitors are not so considerate and left a heap of trash and cans in the center of the Pavilion as well as more graffiti and vandalism around the back doors of the structure. With all things considered, the Oculus Pavilion is a great stop-over to check out if you’re walking through South Humber Park. It’s a bit tricky to get to by car, as the GPS was confused and had us park almost at the back of someone’s parking lot, lol. We had visited on a weekday afternoon, during autumn season was very peaceful with no crowds and nature all around. Other nearby landmarks include the Discovery Point and Murals further south too, in the park. Hope you enjoy your visit to South Humber Park and finding the Oculus Pavilion.

Unusual building

We played there as a kids 60 years ago. It was out in the middle of nowhere and the washrooms were never open but it was a great place for kids to play. Too bad it isn't kept up. Great acoustics.

Harry Bradley

The Humber Trail is an excellent place to walk but the Oculus Pavillion is a bit run down. Too much graffiti.

Ashley Daniels

A little bit of a look at history

First time deciding to jog up this path and I stumbled upon a Thursday open mic night. Was neat to see. This whole pathway was unexpectedly charming, glad I turned left at the Humber river instead of going strait ahead as I usually do.
