REVIEWS OF Selkirk Trestle IN Esquimalt

Paul Taylor

We had a great walk on the Galloping Goose trail, from Ocean Pointe, along Harbour Road and across the trestle to Selkirk.

Adam Langiewicz

Awesome place for a nighttime walk. The trestle is very neat to walk across and has a wonderful view of the city from the middle.

Emma D.

A perfect place to go for a walk and get some fresh air. I feel so lucky to live in this beautiful and peaceful neighborhood

B Will

A handy link across the Gorge Waterway. I've used this trestle many times along the Galloping Goose trail, and often stop to admire the views. You can see up and down the waterway, and you have a panoramic view of the Selkirk Waterfront.

Shirley Perry

So great to have such a lovely place to ride a bike

Jon Cox

Beautiful, peaceful, and enjoyable scenery along the water with a well maintained boardwalk and in close proximity to multiple cafe's. Very pleasant, highly recommended.

James Michael Austin

If you are an U. F. O hotspot in little Victoria than if you don't already know about it now you know.I personally have now witnessed similar, unexplained flying craft in this vacinity.

David Gillese

Bumpy to bike over, but a very helpful bridge.

Julie Im

David Brown

Dear tourists: go for a walk. Visit the Gorge!

Dale Dearing

I cycle across Selkirk Trestle Bridge often doing my Galloping Goose➡️Langford➡️E&N Trail loop. Always glance to see if this “live aboard” is still afloat.

TW Twohundred

Beautiful views - but watch out for the spandex-clad Lance Armstrong-wannabees.

annemarie den harder

The bridge is part of the galloping goose trail. It is only accesible for pedestrians and cyclists.

Jorge Francisco Gomes

Anytime is a good time to cross the Trestle.

Dr Mike Newberry

Beautiful Trestle bridge, spectacular views.

Shayne Dyment

Amazing view down, scary as heck!!

Daniel Andrews

This bridge is very sturdy. I have crossed it hundreds of times and it has never collapsed. It does an excellent job of getting you between Gorge-Burnside and Vic West — much more convenient than swimming across the Selkirk Waterway (or walking to Bay Street or Tillicum Road to use one of those bridges). The bridge boasts great views of the inner harbour and Gorge Waterway because it is right in the middle of them.

Prairie Gnome

It gets me across the water without getting wet. Would 100% use it again.

Bill Irvine

One of the longest and picturesque restored rail trestles in Canada.

Along the galloping goose trail, is this wonderful view of a part of Victoria not always found or seen. Dont use your phone past here. Walk the trestle and enjoy the scene it provides any time a day. It's not lit all the way along, but its wide and visible on a clear moon lit night. One of my most favorite walks I've ever taken for daily exercise.

This 91 meter (300’) long wood structure was built by the Canadian National Railway in 1916. It is now a walking and bike path. part of the Galloping Goose Trail and creates an easy way across the Selkirk Waterway. It is an easy walk along the Galloping Goose Trail from Victoria and there are some nice restaurants and coffee shops on the other side.
