Such a beautiful area! The renovations they did and completely re-doing the bridge are well worth it! The pathway to cross the bridge is stunning and it’s so fun to explore the bridge from all angles! There’s a nice paved path that takes you completely under the bridge, it’s stunning!

I am a photographer in Edmonton and I love using this bridge for photos! It is usually not very busy and provides a very interesting backdrop. From here you have nice views of downtown as well as the North Saskatchewan River.

How in the world are we allowed to review a bridge? Like “did you make it across the river?” Yes..... “Okay 5 stars it is.” It’s a bridge here, at the end of the day it has one job, make A to B accessible. If you have seen this bridge though, it is quite spectacular. For this reason, despite it being a particularly easy review, I shall add a photo of the famed bridge.

Beautiful walkway and the views from the bridge are amazing, especially during sunset hours. The landscaping along the path is really nice and plenty of benches to sit at to chill and watch the sun set. Plenty of space for both pedestrians and bikes to share the path. One of my new favorite places to walk in the city.

Although its completion was severely delayed, I think that the wait is worth it. The new Walterdale bridge's design looks very modern and futuristic. Its arches is definitely a departure from the old steel bridge design that is common among the bridges that crisscross the North Saskatchewan River.

I miss the Old Walterdale Bridge. I never got to take a picture of it and regret it now. Also the awesome sounds it made as you drove over it. The New Walterdale Bridge is a work of art. It is a beautiful addition to the downtown rejuvenation and is a huge tourist attraction.

Newest old bridge in the downtown river valley. There was an old Walter Dale bridge that was about 100 years old so the City of Edmonton finally got a new bridge built in much the same spot and kept the same name. It’s a beautiful dynamic bridge that is already iconic. The sweeping lines of the bridge are pleasing to the eyes and its simple design is just right for the river valley. June 20, 2020 returned to the bridge to enjoy the sites. The last time I was here the large open walkway was not open yet on the east side, now that it is open it is awesome. The pedestrian bridge is amazing. This is an amazing bridge that is accessible for all and has many trails leading to it. I recommend coming here and enjoying the sights.

The Walterdale bridge is arguably the nicest and coolest bridge we have in Edmonton! This is one of our favourite spots to mountain bike, scooter and even kayak in the summer time! It also makes for really cool car photos and other adventures! Definitely take your friends from out of town here to check it out! ????

Worked on this bridge as an Electrician it's last 2 months. A must visit! Bike path has railing lights and all along the bridge and bottom of the bridge there'll be lights when bike riding. One of the attractions in Edmonton. They have added lighting for tourists, so visit after dark. Lighting ensures you have great pictures for social media. Parking is a challenge. Will have to park a few blocks away and walk. Bridge itself is not very long. There was a lot of Police presence. Not sure if that happens everyday.

The bridge design is great. Google has ignored several attempts by me to correct their name for it. There was nobody named Walter Dale connected with it. It is named for Walterdale, a community at its south end named after John Walter, who lived there and ran several businesses there, including the ferry service before there were bridges.
