Allison Harris

My boys favourite place to spend a day in the city.

Jake Hammell

Super cool family experience. Can be a pricey outing for a large crowd, but well worth the cost. Lots to see and do every time you come here

Michelle Urban

This was a great experience for my little guys. They had fun for sure. They were scared of the dinosaurs at first but a wonderful employee gave them "protection stickers" which worked like a charm. My only concern was that curious city age cap wasnt adhered too and some bigger kids were racing around in there amongst the small children.

Mohamed Elsanabary

Amazing place to lean more about the space and solar system.

Mona Vanderwerf

Went on Labor day 2021 staff very friendly, place clean. Sanitation available everywhere, Grandchildren (3)+3 adults I was using a walker plenty of space to move around. The main attraction was the Dinosaurs which the kids either loved or were scared by some my grandson who is not quite 3 greatly enjoyed making a car & racing (with anyone who wanted to) down a ramp I never realized how he was able to find the same tires. Learning by playing very educational and fun for the whole family!!

Dennis “DMACZ” Macaso

Finally I saw the Marvel universe exhibit. It's like I'm 13 once again. Telus WOS really brings in the best show for everyone. A great place for families to bond together. I'd say keep it up in coming up with great family exhibits. It's worth my money to have been part of marvel universe at Telus WOS.

Horia Vlad Guzu

Interesting stuff. I recommend of not buying your ticket for an entry later than 2 hours before it closes since that's the only amount of time you will get to visit. They might let you visit only for 15 minutes past the closing time.

Lunarrss

Amazing spot of science lovers

Rayne-Anne Latchford Oosterveld

The price is absolutely worth admission to TWOS if you actually take everything it includes in. It's a really great place in the city to take kids 8 and under. They are so occupied in a way that also helps them learn a lot. And their HUGE play place has a giant science water table, a mock kids plane with serving trays and light up cockpit! So cool. My daughter played in the plan alone for 30 minutes. There's also I bunch of giant building blocks, giant keyboard you walk on, a 3 and under section and much more. There's demonstrations all the time and the staff are fun and helpful. There's a restaurant on site. And a super fun gift shop. If you want to visit more than twice in a year it's worth getting an annual pass. There so much going on at TWOS that I can't even describe it all. So I'll attach some pictures. Oh there's also a revolving rock wall. Super cool! Just go check it out.

Teresa Crafford

We took our grandson to see the dinosaurs, and we had a great experience. I just found it a bit small, there were only an few dinos and it would have been nice to see a few more of the favourites. All in all a good experience and we went through the excibits 4 times for him to look at them again. Fun to see how they might have looked and the interaction with them was great. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I would have loved for it to be a bit bigger so that you can spend a bit more time with smaller kids.

Jennifer Smith

This used to be my favorite place. Love all the exhibits, the people, the atmosphere..everything. When Harry Potter was here, I went TWICE! However....now that you are requiring people to be vaccinated....I can no longer visit. Amazing you would rather restrict people than just lower capacity.

Eth

A super cool place, attractions should be a bit bigger in my mind and should be updated a little bit more often but overall a amazing centre

Chris Polowy

Definitely one of the best places go on a rainy day to learn, and more importantly have fun

Helena B

This is such a wonderful place to bring young kids to. So much to explore, so much space and kind staff.

Paige McLean

Had a great time with my older teenage kids. Great way to spend a few hours we needed to fill.

Veronica Meh

Science is so amazing!

Matt

Had a great time with my 5 year old boy, the new kids play and learn area was great!

Jagwinder Sidhu

Nice place have alot of knowledge stuff about science, good to take kids alot of fun stuff to do over there highly recomend this place

Chad Stephens

Very clean but under construction unfortunately. It seamed short on attractions but that may have been due to the construction. The Ziegler dome is the star of the museum.

Dan Scott

Our family enjoyed a four hour visit, including the wonderful but slightly macabre Sherlock Holmes exhibit. We love the unfailing interactivity of the exhibits and the gentle introduction to scientific and mathematical concepts in a truly fun way. We didn't take in any of the shows, but did see an impressive fire tornado, and the purple coats appeared to have a good command of their showmanship. A few of the exhibits seemed a little aged, but fun nonetheless.

A.M.

2 stars for customer services /accessibility 4 stars for entertainment value Book far in advance and expect long wait times I do so. The website and phone lines have conflicting info on when their hours of operation are/including booking and administration. It’s not easy, so just be fully prepared before your visit so you are not disappointed. Booking in person the day of is next to impossible. And avoid this establishment on any PD day or holiday.

Mihai Coltan

Good place for education

Matt S

I myself use to LOVE this place, unfortunately they are Enforcing Masks even though the Province and City lifted the Mask Mandates. Will NOT be bringing my 19 month old Child there until they support Real Science ????

Monika T.

Wow! Our first time here, I didn't really know what to expect, and my 3 year old son and I had an absolute blast! We'll be buying memberships for sure. They will pay for themselves in no time!

Dave Butler

Covid rules followed exceptionally well, felt safe with distancing and masking of all patrons at all times. Well done.

Donna Medynski

It was fun but the cost is crazy for the little bit that you can see sure to construction

Laura Bosch

So good to be back! The Science Garage redesign made it all fresh and new again, and we are still pleased to be just as stumped by the same puzzles ????...the Dinosaur Expedition exhibit was cool too.

Ajaypal singh

Nice Science platform for kids. Saw Dinosaur expedition, good for young kids. Aurora in zeilder dome is pretty impressive. They are expanding and hopefully more events will open up in post COVID era.

Ji Youn Lee

Hope to see Harry Potter exhibition again here! Animal inside out was also fun ????

Roxana Murray

Great place for discovering and to encourage our kiddos imagination and love for learning. Several great exhibition are coming soon. Our kids favorites, "robots dinasours and body part", games for toddlers and more. Lots of parking space, easy access facility, family friendly!

B M

Been here many times, never gets old. So many revolving exhibits and so many interactive aspects. Love the space exhibit and will be going to the animal inside out one shortly! Well worth it!

Linda Megyesi

Today we had an opportunity to attend TWOS and it was wonderful! When my children were young we would go often even purchasing a membership for several years. Visiting today has renewed my love for Telus World of Science and I will be visiting again very soon! Great outing for a family of all ages!

Ashton Desjarlais

I used to go on school field tripsnhere all the time and it was a nice place to learn and witness these things hands on

Saifullah Baber

Museum is really huge and fun. You can even go to the observatory when the skies are clear and you can look around in space and see planet's and stars.Too bad there's no food court, but its okay.

Florence Tan

So happy that we visited this science centre. Staff had informed us I f you have a membership your entrance fee is included for all other science centres across North America. Just remember to bring your membership cards with you or some proof of membership. Parking is also free as well and there are many spots available. You’ll need a full day here to explore! This place is great for families and children of all ages. Curious City is great for 2-6yo and the workshops are great for 7-12yo. Washrooms are very clean and kid friendly and cafeteria has plenty of seating and a great menu at fair prices. The current Myth Busters exhibit is a hit with the older kids and adults. The staff are also very helpful and awesome with kids.

Sarah Lee

Love this place! Great learning fun! Kids love it! Entertainment for all ages

Its Pure

August 11,2021, still mandating masks in order to enter. Long lines for gift shop as they require limited capacity, even though I'm shoulder to shoulder in the dino exhibit( which took less than ten minutes to walk through). Not a fun/great experience for the family. Not worth the ticket price.

EY

Went there for the Marvel Exhibition.

Dorothy Hamilton

I’ve gone to this museum many times since I was a child and really enjoy it. I really appreciate that they are trying to update it and keep exhibits fresh, and the feature exhibits like Marvel are great. I also like the Space gallery. They have a nice play area for younger children and regular science demonstrations. Definitely could be pricey for a family, but still worth a visit.

Rahim C

Incredible place for visit. Learned a lot about the one person submarine of James Cameron.

Charlene Watson

The exhibits were great , fun , interactive an informative though a little crowded and loud. Some times it was hard to hear audio portions. The restaurant food was tasty but in my opinion way overpriced an a bit of a rip off for what you get. Even when buying a basic fountain drink an can't even get free refills because their high-tech pop machine scans a small chip or something on the bottom of you cup. Seems a little over the top to me. The Imax theater was also a huge disappointment but more because of very poor comunication from the phone agent we booked with not relaying enough info to us even though i made it clear we had small kids. They also failed to come through on some specific seating needs that we were told wouldn't be a problem on the phone. Overall the food an movie thing kind of soured the day for us. If we go again we will go first thing in the morning an then leave and have our food and movie elsewhere.

Taha Jomha

Overall great facility and kids love it there. We have done summer camps in past and great. This year we booked 3 children for summer camps and soon realized it overlapped with a family holiday. I called 3 days later to reschedule and they said we would need to pay fee .I understand this is policy but given we cancelled months before camp started and only days after booking I expected an exception. We were even willing to reschedule to a different week.

Lisa Kercher

Building an extension and renovation that probably costs tens of millions, and I'm still playing the old, worn out games inside that I've been playing for 15+ years.

Brittany Malott

Some things aren't open which is disappointing

Jason Rinas

Awesome venue but the permanent exhibits are getting old and dated. Otherwise they have awesome venue come in lately.

Rachel Selkirk

We had an excellent day here while visiting Edmonton but almost didn't go because we thought our almost-3-year-old wouldn't get much out of it. Boy, were we wrong. The kids space dedicated to the under-6 crowd is super fun and even has a small space for kids under 3. There is a maker space for kids who are a little older (although my toddler still enjoyed it). It's a must-do if you've got kids.

Lourdes Zalcik

One of my favorite places in Edmonton

Alan Chiu

Awesome place for kids to learn.

Maria Tran

I love this place! So glad to be back. The staff her are amazing and the membership is definitely worth it.

Shauna Marie

We had a blast! Lots to see and do... very interactive. The Zeidler Dome Big Astronomy show was great too! He loved seeing the star and felt like he was in outer space ❤️

Irfan Randhawa

Staff is friendly and alot of cool stuff to see

Gavin Cheng

Great programs at the Telus World of Science. We bought an annaul family pass. The kids can spend whole days there from 9 to 4 without getting bored. They also have a nature investigation program where staff will guide kids to investigate a topic, research, and answer their questions. Get kids interested and keep them engaged in science!

sean tseng

Wonderful science exhibits. Nice design.

SciFi Nebula Ambient

It Was Great Experience

Chantel Matty

Great place to take your kids. The new curiouscity play area is awesome. The restaurant has really good food The feature exhibits are always interesting and changing The only thing is that admission is pricey but for a family of 4+ if you buy the year pass it pays for itself after two visits.

Dajana Fabjanovic

Our 5 year old twins loved the Dinosaur exhibit and IMAX film. FYI: you can purchase these as a combo. Meanwhile, my husband and I loved the mask policy. Kudos to TWOSE for protecting our vulnerable under 12 population. As parents to an immunocompromised child, this is very much appreciated. We’ll be back to see the Pandas IMAX film!

Bill Lindemulder

Disappointed. Came to Edmonton from Calgary to visit family and celebrate stage 3 re-opening. Saw that Science Centre was re-opening with the Expedition: Dinosaur. Spent over $80 for our family of 5, for the Dinosaur Exhibit, then discovered none of the rest of the Science Centre is open - just a few interactive activities. The Dinosaur exhibit itself is Lame (capital L). The Provincial museum (which we visited the day before) had more interesting Dinosaur displays. My son who is obsessed with dinosaurs said "is that all there is? There should be more" - couldn't have said it better myself.

Blair Jamieson

Probably the best science center in Canada and gets better all the time. Better than, VanCouver, Calgary and Toronto. It's so interactive. Everything has a pile of thought behind it. On top of that there are hugely informative/theatrical shows every half an hour and there are also people who wonder around doing experiments ... if that's not enough there's also an I-max and science competitions every hour. AND THEN... if you get hungry they have everything you can think of and if you order a lot they bring it out to you. The gift shop is amazing too. Huge selection at great prices. Yep. So gooood! ???? ???? big ones!

Brendan Thompson

Very disappointed that the TWOSE folks are keeping a LIVE dinosaur in the lobby. This is potentially dangerous to the public and arguably somewhat cruel to the dinosaur. Although my son had a great time looking into its crate and jumped around in joy when it made noise, I still felt that it was a tad irresponsible (haven't they seen Jurassic Park!!!????). Also, if you are keeping a LIVE dinosaur in the lobby, shouldn't it be visible to everyone? All I could see was its eye! Further, Curious City and the part where kids can build things were far too engaging and my son didn't even want to leave! I kept saying it was time to go, but he kept telling me that he wasn't done learning about buoyancy, centrifugal force, and clean energy! Can you believe that! Some people just love to complain. (Addendum) Plus, still have a mask mandate in place. What is this!? The place that teaches you about science read some science or something!?!? If I could give fewer stars, I would! (5/5)

Ravi Kant Sharma

One of the main attractions, in Edmonton, if you live here or are on short visit as tourist. Lot of inform-tainment,( if you can twist the grammar a bit). Science, plays, visuals and good eating area, in the same complex, make it a nice outing with kids, Nice ambiance and modern architect makes it a must place to visit, Don’t miss the planetarium!!

Kaireh Ismail

Just eat before you go. Ridiculous food prices for such poor quality. Too bad the world of Science is awesome otherwise.

Aimee & Jenna Hobbs

Our kids ALWAYS have a great day when we come! It's fantastic to have a place where you can take toddlers and tweens and everyone is happy. We have an annual family pass and find them to be great value for money. It can be hard to enjoy the displays when it is really busy, but we try to go at not peak times and it's much better.

Cindy Lee

I took my 4 year old son to see the Dinosaur exhibit and he really enjoyed it. It is small but we spent 45-60 min there. He's eager to visit again when more areas open up next week. I bought an annual membership because of the mandatory masking policy. I really appreciate this policy for my unvaccinated children (my 6 month old cannot wear a mask yet). It's great that a science centre is following the science around COVID-19 transmission (airborne, contact/droplet). I also want to note that all the staff whom I've interacted with have been super friendly and helpful. Overall, it's been a great experience each time we visit.

Lisa Janzen

So much fun!

Hector L. Campos

My spouse and I came to enjoy the IMAX 3D film Hubble today and we had a wonderful time. A remarkable movie that brings a deeper understanding and appreciation of our planet and its place in such a vast universe. Thank You Telus World of Science and friendly staff ???????? LCA

John Kerr

Unbelievable they still make you wear masks here, signs everywhere telling you what to do. Put your mask on stay apart, how insulting and condescending. Buying tickets takes forever, very slow service. I had the worst hamburger ever in the cafeteria.

Loveline Ndem

We went there 3 days ago and for the 7:00 movie, we had the tickets but they said IT WASN'T INCLUDED so we had to leave. But anyway, we had fun

Harriet Jills

I watched a great movie there and both Kathy and Dayna were very friendly and helpful.

Dani

It’s an amazing place. Really captures our kids attention.

Lindsay MacDermott

We have been several times to TWOSE as a family. My kids (6 & 8) loved it and the adults also found it very enjoyable and informative. The staff have been engaging with the kids, the exhibits are interesting and overall we felt it was great value.

Gary K

Great place to kill an afternoon with the kids. There's a few standard attractions like movies and the water play area (Discovery Zone, always a favourite of my little-ones), as well as additional Exhibit areas. There's almost always something new for the children to check out which is usually fairly interesting for the adults too. Full restaurant with decent food and a gift shop area to pick up a science-y souvenir on the way out. It's also well maintained and clean.

Doug Waugh

Worth every penny. We saw the planetarium Aurora show. So amazing and beautiful.

Kessie Stevens

The place keeps kids entertained but the hours are horrible. Families are out of school and home around 4 most days but it closes at 5pm. I wish you would extend your hours. At least one day on a school night offer a later option. Like why not open at noon and close at 7?

Ak a na

friendly staff, taught kids many new things. Science is intersting when you're at Telus

Mj Smith

With the construction, wheelchair accessibility was a bit more of a challenge (ie narrow area, bumpy walkways) but service was great, staff very helpful, especially with restrictions from covid. Imax is never disappointing.

Lianne McTavish

This is a wonderful venue for children and they can return again and again. The Science Garage is great. I would recommend bringing your own food if possible, for the cafe does not have many healthy options, the quality of the food is poor, and the service is often slow. In contrast, the cafe at the RAM is much better.

Kirk Dewhurst

An amazing experience coming here to enjoy travelling exhibitions and science and astronomy. I have been here many times over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. I recommend coming here for a great time and a great learning experience. There is ample parking. It’s hard to explain all that is in this place, what I recommend is just coming and checking it out and having a great time.

Michael Nedoshytko

It's been a while since I've been at Telus world of science. Probably still called the space and science centre at the time. The facility is top notch, as it is a city of Edmonton agency. The science section was really cool too. I went for the marvel but saw everything in the facility. Very good afternoon spent at Telus world of science. I particularly enjoyed the robotics activity! Staff very friendly and helpful. I loved the ambience of the marvel exhibit. Missed the iron man section, but the rest of the exhibit was awesome. I would have loved to see a full sized ghost Rider motorcycle in the exhibit and the suit from the not so loved Daredevil film from 2003! Looking forward to my next visit. Cheers.????️

Chrissy Pon

Wonderful exhibits, so much to see and do we decided to get a membership All the staff here is very friendly and helpful, also they all seem to be great with children

Nathaniel Caines

I have been constantly disappointed and underwhelmed by their exhibits in the past few years. They really, really need to step it up because im not wasting my money here anymore. They dont promote science, they promote sales

Pamela Carr

Fun and enough to keep them busy for hours and hours. Staff and volunteers are terrific. Membership is totally worth it. before my son was in school I would go here twice a week. Now we go almost every weekend!

Fareed Akhtar

Great place to visit as a family especially with children. The thumbnail picture use is of Telus Vancouver and not Edmonton. Please use pictures of Edmonton Telus Science. Edmonton is on the map we are proud Albertans.

Christopher Langlois

Staff were amazing, new health and safety protocols worked very well and made for a very enjoyable visit.

Victoria Simpson-Ntumba

I love it

David Fischer

Save your money! Not worth it right now! I love the Telus World of Science and had previously rated 5 stars; however, just went today (July 3, 2021) and only the feature exhibit (Dinosaurs) was open, but they're still charging full price. Had looked on their website last night and no mention of closed exhibits, so it felt like a bait and switch. Also, dinosaur exhibit was a disappointment -- we interacted with almost everything in the exhibit and were done in 30 min, felt lacking. Again, all this for full price ($52/family of 4). Not worth it until prices are in line with experience being provided or until the remainder of exhibits open again.

Bliss Renovations

What a disappointment the dinosaur "exhibit" was. WASTE OF MONEY. You should put on your website how small the exhibit is. Charging $14/person is a rip off...should be $5 for this "exhibit"

MK

I think there are some good features to this place but there are also some flaws. Good There is alot of different areas to view which is good for small children to keep them busy A decent amount of room to move around easily unless you have a double stroller then not Very friendly staff Takes a good few hours to go through everything Bad Expensive Not good with double strollers Been here twice and there are always so many tables in the cafeteria saying reserved Having the staff calling out numbers for food is horrible when there are 100+ children screaming and running around No maps showing where to go

Jonathan Rokosh

Very fun, lots of sciencey things to interact with and keep you entertained no matter what age you are.

Blaine Mulligan

The dinosaur exhibit was great, can't wait for more stuff to open on the 28th!

Justin Anderson

We could spend everyday here when we come to Edmonton...kiddos and adults always have fun!

Natalie Beauchamp

IMax and Aurora movies were fantastic as were the hands on science room and nature exhibit. Something for everyone! A great family activity!!!!

Jackie Goodwin

IMAX movie was good. Ripley's Believe It or Not was sorely lacking. Very little to do with him and seemed to be just random small displays put together. Would not recommend.

Megan Singh

My kids and I always enjoy our time at the science centre. Never a wasted day, always something new and exciting to see and try.

Agnes Tang

Newly renovated. So much fun for all ages. Glad they kept the SPACE gallery. Upgraded my tickets to year Membership.

Ernah Tanhem

Great place to take the kids! Adults will have gun too! ????

Christina Sanders

The dinosaur exhibit, Zeidler Dome, IMAX and gift shop are open during the Aurora project expansion renos

Amanda Leighton

Such a great place to go spend an afternoon at. Loving the recent renovations over the past few years, currently there is still a lot of construction around but it does not affect any of the exhibits that are open. One small hiccup, the star theater had a schedule of what was playing but the wrong thing played in the time slot I went to. I was hoping to see we are stars with my toddler but ended up seeing something about Northern lights, so we ended up leaving early since he was bored (but it was a great show otherwise) I doubt this is a common occurrence and if there was a schedule change I feel like we should have been told at the door when we entered!

Jo-Anne Tinlin

Very expensive to be so disappointed. Only exhibit open during this time. If they are re-opening in stages, they should be adjusting their pricing in stages.

Solehin Sagor

Had a great experience in this World of Science. Their IMAX experience is very good. There was a gift shop also. It’s so innovative. Great place to spend a day in the wild of science.

jwebbs78

Great place for the kids, big and small.

Alexis MacMillan

Excellent IMAX theatre, popcorn even available at the cafeteria. Great gift shot.

christina dornan

Had an awesome ladies night here at the IMAX . Enjoyed a glass of wine and a classic movie . The consession Needs a tip function or tip jar for the employees serving there, it’s a licensed establishment now so they should be allowed to accept tips .

Mr C

Very fun and interactive for the kids????

Callie Perry

They need to either have more staff at the nature exchange or limit trades to 1 or 2 per visit. It's a great concept but kids are waiting 20+ minutes to talk to the one person on duty. We really enjoyed the science garage and the activities. Kids ages 5,6,7,8 spent the whole day and could have stayed much longer.

dee clements

Usually really really expensive to get in and so I only go if there is a really good exhibit to see. The food is super expensive too. The other exhibits are alright but you can go through them really quick. So really it's only good to go for specific exhibits. Also the cost of the theater isnt included fyi

Lorie R

The kids loved this experience! A bit pricey to go as a family but all the hands on fun makes it a special outing. The kids loved the space exploration area.

6Nmotion

I want to give this place 5 stars but it’s given me enough reasons not to. The front desk staff are indifferent and don’t seem interested in providing great service. It’s mostly the ladies, they seem unhappy and I know that they can’t act like robots, but that’s the nature of their job to at least smile and acknowledge that you’re standing there waiting in the members’ only line. We waited so long last time and there were two people at the desk, two others in the background no one even bothered to say “Hey, we’ll just be a little longer or... 15 minutes” The exhibits feel half done, like “we’ll slap this together, whatever.” There’s no love and you can sense it. ☹️ We watched the Halloween show upstairs in the Zeidler Dome and it was so disappointing! It was a simple laser show that my kids could’ve put together but with better music. Boring! We left early. The only good show here is put on by a young man, blond with a thin frame. He’s usually showing how substances react (fire, gases, etc.) and what makes it fun and engaging is that he has a great personality and treats kids kindly. He alone gets a 5/5. Another positive is the hot dogs in the cafeteria, they’re really good! One thing I don’t like is that the aprons in the Discoveryland exhibit are not helpful in keeping your child dry. The front curves inwards so all the water falls on the kid’s pants and shoes. Also, at times there’s not enough of them for all the kids attending. I suggest you bring a change of clothes or plan to be there last, just before going home. The little nursing room there needs more attention more often because it can get really smelly, I don’t know... maybe they need to add a fan if there’s isn’t one there already. A sign showing that it is a nursing room would help too. A couple of my friends didn’t know it was there and they’ve been there before. Another thing was that for months I tried getting them to help me receive the monthly email. When I was there I asked the young lady if she could let the person in charge know about the issue and to please have them contact me. Instead she wrote the email down and gave me the card, told me to send an email! What? I’m already there, wouldn’t it be just as easy to leave a note? I just received the first one and our membership expires in January. We won’t be renewing it.

The centre first opened in 1984, as a replacement for the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium, located to the east, that had operated as Edmonton's Planetarium since 1960 but had become limited by its seating capacity of 65. The City of Edmonton selected the Edmonton Space Sciences Centre as the City's flagship project commemorating the Province of Alberta's 75th Anniversary. The original building was designed by architect Douglas J. Cardinal. When first opened, it was called the Edmonton Space Science Centre and then later it was changed to the Edmonton Space and Science Centre. In 2001, after a 14-million dollar expansion of the original building, the name was changed again to the Odyssium. On May 2, 2005, the centre was renamed to the Telus World of Science - Edmonton after a $8.2 million, 20-year partnership was established with Telus Communications. The centre attracts over half a million visitors a year and has Canada's largest planetarium dome theatre (the Zeidler Dome). TWOS is currently undergoing another expansion, budgeted at $40 million, that would see the centre triple in size. The expansion includes a new DVT (Digital Visualization Theatre), new galleries, an upgraded restaurant and, through a partnership with the University of Alberta, a research facility that would allow ideas to be tested and modified. The renovations have begun, with the café under renovation. There is currently no target date available for these renovations.

Cash Komick

Signed up for the dinosaur exhibit. Paid $45 for my wife, my toddler and myself to walk around a room the size of a school gymnasium and look at roughly a dozen dinosaurs. The time we were scheduled for was too late for the Zeigler show (which we apparently paid for). Definitely not worth a trip across town. The dinos that were there were pretty cool, but again, we saw everything there was to see in 15 mins and we couldn't even see the star show because there were no showings after 4. Pretty disappointing.

Rayna Nawrocki

Our whole family loves this place! Great day to be had by all here at the science center. Lots of hands on features to explore! Free shows through the day and amazing, helpful and friendly staff!

Max Jones

My wife and I and our friends from out of town decided to take the kids to the space and science center and we were highly disappointed. Not only did it cost a lot for all of us to get in the only exhibit that was there was super small and a huge let down. Definitely will not be going back any time soon.

Terry Mceachern

Awesome...great for kids..alot of info

Sam Szeto

Good, but some of the displays are getting old and should update. Perfect for kids. Hopefully it will be better when the expansion is complete.

Darrell Sirski

Great place to visit. Lots of things to do. However, the gem of the place has to be the Purple Pear restaurant. This is not some run-of-the-mill cafeteria like you find in other museums. The food here is superb. Chef Dave Surtees has created an array of delicious and unique food items that make you crave for it. I love the pizzas and my wife loves the burgers. Sometimes we come here just for the food.

Bruce Hogle

A great experience for all ages, there really is something here for everyone. From interactive displays, movies and everything in between.

Francisco Rico-Garcia

Always a great experience here, I’ve been visiting the science centre as a child.

Michelle CC

Very educational experience for the whole family or just with friends. I love that the exhibits are interactive. This interactivity helps you to learn and retain. Fun facts about the planets and your body. Great indoor activity especially in our long winter months.

Stephen Wright

Don't waste your money on a season pass. Their observatory is never open TRUST ME I TRY GOING SERVERAL TIMES A WEEK ON CLEAR EVENINGS IN THE LAST 3 YEARS! Their lazer shows are over priced, they won't play custom laser shows if you book the entire room, now their summer hours are completely cut so if you DO have a job, YOU CANT GO ANYWAY.

Natasha McDonald

So awesome love it and it's nice that I can use my Calgary pass here as well

Went to see Expedition Dinosaur and was so disappointed. It took 12 minutes to get through, there was very little to see. Not really anything for fossils or bones, and just a few animatronic dinos whose heads you can turn by pushing a button. The rest of TWOS is closed due to construction so there was nothing else to see. Definitely not worth the cost of admission. Big bummer, I've always loved TWOS.

We came on July 15th in the morning, the employee in the gift shop, She may have been Assistant Manager, was rude, and followed me around the gift shop. Asking 4 times if I was done yet

Barbara Johnson

They've done a great job of showcasing Ripley's believe it or not with covid restrictions.

Shirley White

A wonderful place to visit

Jabir Dawid

Best place ever and my kids learned lots about space and enjoyed learning.

Odion Welch

I came to the Marvel exhibit with a friend and it was GREAT. I would like to give a special shout out to Carter who knew some really cool facts about the movie props and filled us with knowledge not listed. It's great that the staff love the exhibit as much as us

If you need last minute Xmas gifts, the Galaxy Gift Shop is open for online orders and contactless pick-ups! Go support a special local business that we would be a lesser city without. I love the TWOSE (or, as we OGs know it, the Space & Science Centre). I've visited many exhibitions over the years - Body Worlds (both times!), Ripleys, a few Dark Matters nights, and more. My husband and I had one of our first dates there, and I remember being nervous to hold his hand. What a lovely place. I love the Rube Goldberg machine room (I used to love the gross-out stuff in there too!), I love the burger with crispy fried onions from the Purple Pear, and I love the gift shop. Most recently, I picked up an online order from the gift shop this afternoon, and the lady who brought my package out was great. Warm and friendly, which is nice to see. Even with a mask on I could see she was a smiling, kind person.

The IMAX here would be the best one in western Canada if they spent some time on maintenance which is a shame. Watched Dune here recently, and there are dark spots on the screen that are very noticeable in bright scenes. Also, there is a loud hum that I'm assuming is from a speaker, coming from behind the screen which is very distracting during quiet scenes. People come to watch IMAX expecting a premium experience, so stuff like this isn't really acceptable, but it's an easy fix.

always a fun time

Very little changes in the centre over the years. No a place to go often. The current Dino exhibit is really lame. Not much science and very cheesy exhibits. Go to Jurassic forest for better entertainment value. Zeidler was Very good Aurora show. Good science and spectacular visuals. So why build a whole new wing when changing up the exhibits in the existing building is needed. The space science section is virtually unchanged for 20 years.

Ender Wiggen

A great place to visit, they have feature exhibits that change every year which give something new to see. For kids there are a lot of interactive learning stations, summer camps and play area. The facility is going to be expanded to add more floor space and exhibits. Honestly it's a world class facility and it's a good addition to the city.

My 4 yr old thought the toys for sale were below par. Not impressed. A comic book store has such a better selection of quality marvel toys

Scarlett Chan (Schan)

Every family should have a membership here! So much to do/see/learn. Hours of entertainment for the kids on our cold winter days! Activities for all ages, the Zeigler dome is amazing for watching shows, curious city can occupy a child of any age for 30 minutes with the ball shooting tunes alone, plus lots of neat crafts with staff/volunteers guiding your child through. Best value if you just buy the annual pass for the family, individual tickets are decent priced but if you go just twice you're saving money with the membership and there's more than enough here to occupy your kids countless times a year!

Ian Mack

Had a great time with the family. All ages. First time adults had fun

Alan Varughese

Grateful that Edmonton has a space for people to experience dinosaurs, and space and special exhibits such as Terry Fox. The IMAX movies are great and the science garage is great hands on for the kids. In the hallways they have hands on science experiments where you can understand science and physics. Thank you donors and philanthropist s alike for keeping and improving the world of science.

Jessica Lee

Amazing experience. We watched Dinosaurs of Antarctica IMAX and the kids loved it. A lot of things have changed since the last time we went but I enjoy how things are constantly changing there, every experience feels new.

Dustin

Used to be on of my favorite places in Edmonton and a world class attraction. It has become a shadow of its former self. The main attraction feels like the same one we walked through for free at Westerner days a couple years ago. Had a few animated dinosaurs, some videos and a few artistically recreated fossil replicas. We walked through a few of the other interactive areas, would have been super awkward if my niece and nefew hadn't come along. All added up to make up to a very crummy experience. I would be embarrassed to recommend this place to anyone right now, and I likely wont return soon.

Amber-lee Ingersoll

Wonderful place. I have volunteered there for awhile now, and always something cool to see. Highly recommend

Brittany Danelle

Spent 2 hours there, with a nine year old, she loved every part , and me also, learnt a few things and seen some cool stuff. A little expensive but it was fun. Will go again!!!!

elijah togba

good and fun for my school cuz i'm a kid on a pc but the place is good.

Devin Stewart

It's August covid is done they make you wear masks anyways get a new cause it's ridiculous

Domo Domo

Lol the dino exhibit was so lame, but it's Edmonton so don't expect much here

Bonnie Beckham

Disappointed with the new space gallery. Lots of empty space punctuated by video games and a giant dart game that takes up half a room. Lots of eye candy without a lot of content. One exception was the theatre that tells the lunar landing story, which is great and creative and held the kids' attention. Much better planetarium shows than previous - they used to have pretty mediocre regular videos played on the dome, and now they are back to the awe-inspiring wonder of the full-dome and actual images of stars and planets. Excellent School programming - creative fun learning that produced engaged listeners. Kudos! The nature area is a great exploration space that not over-monitored and gives kids room to engage their senses. Finally, what annoyed me enough to write this review in the first place was the price of the food. I ordered veggie samosas for $6.50 and got two (literally) bite-size triangles that were tasty but hardly worthy of being called a snack, let alone a meal option. Most of the meals were in the $13 to $16 range, which is quite a burden on top of what I considered to be an overpriced entrance fee, and which doesn't even include all of the exhibits.

Dean T

Great place to take kids to learn and have fun. The food court has good options for food. The price is high if you only go once but you should consider getting an annual pass if you go several times a year. You can also apply your annual pass to other science centers across Canada. They offer summer camps as well.

Ivan McKenzie

Great place to take the kids. They are accepting of children that are special needs. I can't wait for the new expansions to open up

Darren James

Hands down the best place to bring kids for a few hours a week. Tons of fun, interactive exhibits. Great cafeteria with reasonable prices and good sized portions. The new space gallery is great. The new planetarium is amazing, my kiddo and I love laying down on the big bean bags and touring the galaxy. The rotating exhibits keep things fresh, especially when they're free admission exhibits. You have to work around the school classes, especially in the kids area (the new one seems like it'll be bigger thankfully). If you're allergic to loud, excited children then you might want to stick to early mornings or the adult-only Dark Matters nights. If you have kids, or want to recapture that feeling you had when you were a loud, excited child visiting the Space and Science Centre on a school trip, this is a definite recommend. And it has free parking! A GIANT free parking lot full of deliciously free parking. Freeeeeee!! (Apologies, I'm experiencing residual trauma from my visit to the new museum) .... free parking

Austin Bickford

Dinosaur exhibit was alright, was kind of small but the staff was excellent

A Goggle User

We've been here numerous times, they bring in new exhibits periodically so there's lots of things of interest for adults as well as children. For those people who have complained in their reviews about school children pushing "regular paying" people out of the way, I can assure you these kids have had to FUND RAISE very hard & have PAID FOR THEIR ADMISSION! They are excited to see the exhibits & may have traveled several hours on a school bus: this is an educational, fun place for ALL children! Please don't get me wrong, I believe kids should have manners! It's not the responsibility of the Staff to discipline children unless they're harming the exhibits & the chaperones can only do so much. Perhaps if you don't want to deal with busloads of school kids come at off peak times.

Matt H

Shouldn't be open if they're not going to allow you into things that you pre pay for. The Dino exhibit was not good at all and there was maybe another 5 mins of really not that interesting interactive things. We did get our money back, but had family in from out of town- was supposed to be a trip highlight and ended up being a lot of driving for one of the most anticlimactic trips ever. Super disappointed and I felt embarrassed bringing them there.

Karl Jesske

Great fun and lots of cool stuff for the kids to do. Very family friendly and even some stuff for adults too

Brittany Quinn

Highly recommended a visit here!!! The zeidler dome was my favorite part!!! Frank was great!!! Best experience in Edmonton we had on our short visit!! Will definitely go again

Dennis Thomas

Great place to take the whole family. The restaurant has really good food. Fun activities for all ages.

Ben Rix

Laser Floyd on Saturday nights is my favourite thing to do in Edmonton. Best $15 I've ever spent!

Stephanie Sealy

More a place for kids…wasn’t super interesting.

Trevor Johnson

Had a really good time spending an entire afternoon. There is a lot to learn and see, with a good turnover of exhibits and shows.

Paul V

Excellent science center, fun and educational for all ages. They are expanding the center every year so it is worth coming back regularly and getting an annual membership. The people working the Nature Exchange center are gems. Our kids can chat with them for hours about nature and science!

Ryan Miller

The Science Centre is fantastic and the food is the best food you will get at any attraction in Alberta!

Sunil Mehta

Upon entering, we were very impressed, the volunteers with kind and warm (it was a cold day!) The front desk with both patient and informative. We look forward to use this over the year with our children. Definitely worth signing up for the year if you can!

Brendon Restall

This place is geared for kids in a great way. I have a 3 year old and 5 year old and it is the best for them. They enjoy all the exhibits. Make sure to grab tickets for curiousCITY (seperate entrance times). The science area has activities for all (even me) and don't forget about the Zeigler dome with very good short shows that actually teaches kids about cool things to learn ( we have only seen the space ones so far). All gotta mention the annual pass is worth it if u go like 3 times as a family.

Claudia G

The new Dinosaur exhibit was cool, if somewhat short. Younger kids would definitely have a fun time.

Mark Watson

A very good experience

Kyle Turner

It seemed like every other demonstration was broken or not working properly. There was also a ton of kids there on a school trip, which is fine, but I got no warning of the impending chaos upon purchasing our tickets. And school kids in big groups are little jerks.

Micaela Dawn

The TELUS World of Science has done a great job with creating engaging exhibits for the whole family. As a group of adults, we all highly enjoyed ourselves even in a space geared towards children. The dome theatre has utilized new 360 filming techniques to put on some fantastic shows. The only downside were a few pieces have started to feel dated and could use a facelift.

Lilly Petal

Amazing place

Rose Moylan

We went to the Laser show in the Planetarium - had a great time, definitely worth the ticket price of $14.95. Recommend.

Chelsea Hankinson

Awesome experience, including friendly staff who helped us get the most of our visit. My toddler seems to like some hands on stations (building cars, building magnetic marble paths, and the curious city) the most, but I loved the show in the Zeidler some. We didn't get to all the exhibits, but ended our visit with some tasty food from the purple pear restaurant inside!

Ryan Fang

Excellent place to go for learning science. They have an exhibit for body sciences, ecology, crime and mystery, a kids area, astrophysics, as well as a dome star theater and an Imax theater. You can also book birthday parties, group events, and demos from organizations.

Maya Sulayman

My kids and I visited The Telus World Of Science yesterday and they loved it. Amazing staff plus the food was cheap and exceptional !!

Stephen Cornish

Went to the "after hours" Dark Matters (18+) showing. Fundamentally the same as the regular experience, except that that are a few satellite bars selling drinks and the are a few extra tables set up for outside presenters to showcase some extra points of interest. These are mostly outside parties that can frame their cause/subject in a scientific frame work and offer an interactive experience. Mostly went for the Marvel exhibit, wasn't disappointed. Always fun for everyone to be had. However, if you like smaller crowds and perhaps don't have kids or just want a kid free evening check the schedule for the Dark Matters event and go then.

Katt

Cannot recommend as long as mask policy in place.

Mostapha A

Body world exhibit was pretty cool, rest of the place was not really interesting to me however it is obviously geared towards children so keep that in mind.
