Very cool place! Need an EV charger in that parking lot to show how green you really are!
I lived a block away from the mutart for 15 years I have been there numerous times and I have always had a great time the chance to smell see and hear the climates of four different areas is a fantastic afternoon getaway for any family I've never been more relaxed than I have at the mutart
5 stars hands down! We were visiting Edmonton Alberta Canada from Southern California. This place literally blew us away. This Conservatory is separated into four microclimates. There is a temperate climate, tropical climate, Arid climate and a climate seasonal for various things or events. The amount of plants and vegetation that has been meticulously landscaped and formed to be this beautiful environment is absolutely beautiful. The price of admission is absolutely fair. They accepted my AAA card and received a 10% discount. The staff were absolutely wonderful. There is a coffee shop/Cafe restaurant If you choose to order something to eat. Please make this stop if you’ve not been here before. You were definitely missing out if you haven’t. We plan on coming back here if we make it to Edmonton again!
Visited the muttart today. Haven’t been in about 4-5 years. It was fairly busy, and the paths in the domes are extremely small leaving no room to walk past people taking selfies. The featured Christmas done was very sparsely decorated with only a handful of types of flowers. The other domes were nearly identical to the pre-renovation exhibits - I’m not sure what exactly was renovated? overall this is a good place to visit once in a while to get out of the cold in the dead of winter. Total time spent here including visiting the gift shop was only about 25 mins.
Always love visiting the Muttart. So we'll kept and such friendly staff!
I am a photographer in Edmonton and the Muttart is one of my favorite locations to spend time at. It is so architecturally interesting and you have a great view of downtown from the building. The gardens inside are fantastic with a large variety of plants from many different climates. A must see in Edmonton.
It has good collection of plants, flora and fauna. If you are interested you can take guided tour as well. It can be really exciting for kid and people who are interested in plants from different climates. However, if you are from a tropical country this might not be interesting for you beacause lot of plants here are very common plants in tropical countries.
Definitely a great spot to visit in Edmonton. Beautiful place and very friendly customer experience. Kudos to Griti who was a great guide and superb photographer!
Upon visiting the Muttart, I got pretty much everything I expected out of a conservatory. There was a wide range of different plants, from a wide range or different countries. Colorful flowers and leaves brighten up the place. A lot of the plants are very unique while some are familiar as well. There are different rooms to accommodate plants that require different climates. I found myself getting a little bit dizzy in some of these rooms from the powerful scents that a lot of the plants gave off. It was a new experience for me. Plants aside, this establishment also has a gift shop and a coffee shop as well. The coffee shop makes a really great cold brew.
It was absolutely gorgeous! Wish I would go in another day since it was already too hot outside and by the end of our tour we were drenched in sweat. But still it definitely worth every cents! Especially for plant lovers
For those who say you can’t find anything to do in Alberta here is a spot for young and old to enjoy. Located in the cities river valley these 4 pyramids take you away to distinct bio spheres around the world. Stroll through each area and enjoy the soothing that plants have to offer.
Beautiful and organized very well. Many types of vegetation from all climates of the world as well as name tags and description on each plant. When you're there, you feel peace and serenity with nature. The exterior of the four Pyramids and surrounding park, is just as beautiful as the inside. Thank you
4 different rooms with different climate. Pretty plants but not very big. Getting there by public transit was difficult with roads without side walks (if you get off from bus #8). The whole visit took about 30 mins. It was nice but nothing really impressive...
Only 4 stars because I couldn't get the full experience due to construction. The pyramids were gorgeous though.
Good experience, overall. Humid inside the pyramids. Staff is friendly, delightful and peaceful.
I documented an intimate wedding inside the Muttart in January of 2019. I absolutely love the greenery and the chance to escape the cold! It is a perfect place for small wedding or to go and take your portraits!
Nice place to visite The glass piramids Grate place to view and feel the climate and the plants are healthy and smell good the staff are pleasant and its a relaxing time as you walk among the plants
Awsome place, well maintained, best place to learn more if you interested in flora and fauna ????????
Love this place more after renovation
I love this place! Very relaxing and interesting to check out the featured exhibit. Love how they have benches inside the exhibits to sit down and take in the views. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and not very expensive. The outside of the conservatory is just as beautiful as inside with a great opportunity for photographers to capture the unique look of the pyramids.
Beautiful spot in central Edmonton to go for a stroll. Well maintained and so many plants to admire. Nice little cafe inside as well
Always a beautiful experience with a lot of reviews to tell why. But here's three off-beat things of interest I found on my last visit... 1)If you look close enough you'll find some interesting and highly poisonous plants such as Hellibore. 2)The staff take banana tree cuttings to the nearby zoo for the Elephant to enjoy. 3)You can walk up on the "rooftop" of the pyramids which not only makes for an excellent photo backdrop but is also fun to look into from another perspective.
Great place to go as a family with young kids. We have a 2 and 5 year old, they love running around looking at stuff, and there is a spot in the middle of the pyramids inside that you can sit down and eat food that you buy at Culinas restaurant in there or you are allowed to bring food from home to eat if you want, which we do. Annual family pass is around $150 so if you go with 2 adults and a kid or two it pays for itself in 4 or 5 visits, which is easy to do in a year esp since they change the feature pyramid so often
Wonderful facility, amazing staff and what I can only describe as a serene experience. The renovations have really helped add to the beauty of the Muttart. The Tropical pyramid is just so nice to sit down and enjoy.
4 years ago I visited this place with friends. It was lovely. We saw kids planting seeds in small pots. Everywhere you look had leaves and dew. When riding your vehicle on the highway it's covered by nature to. Guess this is why it's one of Edmonton's biggest nature plants. The ladybugs and the butterflys are magnificent they make the place more comfortable. Totally recommend Muttart Conservatory.
Very impressive. Well worth a visit. 4 different biomes with gorgeous plants
Love this place !
Beautiful place, I'm always in awe. I love coming here especially in winters because seeing plants just makes you forget about the gloomy winter days for a bit. It's the perfect destination to bring your parents or those who love plants
It's ok... I'm from Montreal and we do have the biodôme... Maybe I was expecting something more like that! I wouldn't go there with kids... Unless they're having a good time with plants and trees
Beautiful place, well maintained. Varieties of plants in different temperature and weather. It looks awesome from top as well.
Great place for everyone to enjoy, very calming and beautiful. 4 different exhibits and takes about 40 min to walk through. A cafe, gift shop and plants for sale. You can book a time online but we were able to get a spot without booking in person. A really nice patio spot outside as well.
Beautiful restoration of nature. 4 different pyramids are representing 4 different type of weather and its bio diversity. Rain forest one is the best one to see orchids and palm trees. You can touch and feel them. Some cinnamon trees and banana trees are awesome. Also the cactus collecrion
Amazing time, the ability to view different climates and different plants at different areas is amazing, got to see a lot of new things, bought a few things at the gift shop and had a great time!
Have four pyramids to visit. Short and sweet. Worth visiting at different times of the year as the plants will bloom and change.
Beautiful!! Loved the tropical pyramid the best, but overall amazing! So good for the skin :)
Was a bit underwhelming but it is beautiful! Especially the outside, the pyramid buildings certainly are an Edmonton must see. Took us about 20 minutes to go through all of it.
Amazing trip to Muttart today! My second trip to Edmonton this was definitely on our to do list and I was not disappointed. The feature was the Mexican Day of the Dead. I dont want to mistyped the words so I'll leave it at that and say in my head the proper Spanish title. It was amazing to go in and see the flowers and trees from the world! Especially living in Phoenix Arizona now it's a treat to smell the fresh flowers!!! Cheers on a wonderful gathering ❤
A fantastic place to get away from the deepest of winter. Four different environments replicate different climates and one show pyramid that showcases something new all the time. For our visit it is the Lunar New Year. Worth the price of admission. Don't forty hat Culina has a more extensive menu than you think.( Full meals, not just coffee)
Very nicely put together. The rain forest is the standout exhibit. The dessert one kinda seemed like it was dying, lots of rotting away plants. The floating exhibit is sweet and Christmassy. Smaller than I imagine…easily finished in 45 minutes. Names of the plants are quite charming!
I like the scavenger hunts each pyramid offers. The different themes are amazing learning experiences for our culturally diverse Canadian heritage! The girls loved the fresh air and amazing photo ops! The girls certainly made some serious wishes in the wishing well.... they didn’t come true however...
So beautiful and peaceful. Love the poinsettia pyramid ❤
Another beautiful place to visit in Edmonton. Kids will love it and adults can enjoy too. Doesn’t matter how cold outside is it is warm in there because inside is climate-regulated. Ample parking available. The pyramids are colour changing during night and that’s beautiful too. I heard it will be closed for some time for renovations in 2019.
The renovations are lovely. Would wish that they had a few more signs though as there are several plants that lived interesting but had no signage
I'm visiting from out of town, and the conservatory was one of my favourite parts of Edmonton. Walking through and photographing all four pyramids takes about half an hour, and I would recommend having breakfast at the Cafe there afterward. It's a peaceful and relaxing place to spend a Sunday morning. Not too far a walk from downtown either.
Beautiful place to visit!! Quick check in with vaccine cards and masks! Hand sanitizer in multiple locations. Cafe had delicious baked goods too!!
A cool place to check out in the city. Nice way to spend an hour or two. But fairly expensive. Overall good experience.
Fantastic place. All the 4 pyramid shaped greenhouses are interesting and truly beautiful.
The best place for photos or a calm get away
Awesome!! We had our wedding photos done there 44 years ago and it's still beautiful today!!
Lots of fun at the Muttart today. A bit busier than I expected but they manage the number of people attending the best they can. Lovely plants, beautiful flowers. The staff is very friendly and helpful! My granddaughter enjoyed the feature pyramid the best today. :)
My first visit to the Muttart almost 9 years ago wasn’t very memorable. But I recently decided to take advantage of the theme night events and I have to say I was very impressed at the effort that they are making to bring people in! The interactive tours were very informative, and the staff were clearly passionate about the plants they were caring for. The only improvement I think they could make is maybe including a picture with the name, as it’s not always clear which plant the tag corresponds with. I hope they keep up with the theme nights, I’ve been to a few now and I hope to go to a few more!
I was excited to go check it out since the renovation but it seems like most of it was behind the scenes things so it is essentially the exact same, not that that’s bad, it’s still entertaining to walk through. Only took us about 30minutes to walk through everything so don’t expect it to eat up your day. They do require double vaccination which I appreciated, put me a ease bringing my baby.
What a beautiful place! Each pyramid is an entirely new world! I could spend hours in this place sitting on the benches enjoying the nature. It's not too busy, and it can be looked through in an hour if you want, but I think the point of this place is to just enjoy nature and to sit and visit in the trees. Highly recommend seeing it at least once, but it's definitely not an all day activity. There's a great place to have a picnic outside though so perhaps a stroll through the pyramids after lunch together would be a nice afternoon.
Nice place. Free parking. Food court. Whole visit may take 60 minutes except if you studying plants.????
It's always a great visit to the Muttart Conservatory. Their prices are excellent. I took mother and it cost about 27$ for the two of us All of the pyramids are fantastically displayed When alone in one of them, they become real places of Peace. Go and enjoy!
Beautiful area if you like flowers and plants. There is a slight discount if you are an AMA member. It would be nice if they provided more educational information for each of the plants. It can get quite busy inside the pyramids but there are seating available. Not alot to see for the price you are paying.
I love spent time there. Miss so much
Absolutely beautiful biodome!
Eat some gummies and get up close to the plants ????
Great place for a relaxing wall through. Loved the tropical pyramid. Definitely a must see for plant lovers/gardeners
