REVIEWS OF MacKinnon Ravine Park IN Edmonton

MacKinnon Ravine Park is a great place to go for a long walk or bike ride any time of the year. There are plenty of trails that are accessible from a variety of neighbourhoods. You can also head right down to the waterfront of the North Saskatchewan and walk along it for a long ways. Great places to stop and have a picnic as well. Funny to think that this place was at one point going to be a highway!

We had a great time biking this place. Amazing view overlooking the River Valley.

Bruce Dickson

Lovely riverside park space. Paved paths for all.

Stephanie Usher

So grateful to have Edmonton's rival valley right in the middle of the city. So many trails and tree cover! Good for a forest bath.

Dylan Pitt

Great place. Definitely go here!

Lis Marie

Such a beautiful area with incredible scenery! It was so peaceful and the path goes on for so long and eventually connects to the be right beside the river! There's parking available in the neighbourhoods and has very easy access to get to the ravine park!

Talena Baker

Plenty of room to walk and trails to explore. The scenery is beautiful! It can get pretty busy on some parts but again, plenty of green grass to walk through if needed. Lots of hills so be prepared for a bit of a work out !

Laura Bilkoski

Beautiful park, let's do our part to keep it this way.

Julie Banger

Beautiful & Peaceful - walking trails, biking, picnic spots throughout, trails to the river, events hosted here lots of parking, golfing....

Dust Fart

Great place to bring the family for a picnic or suntan with views of the Saskatchewan River. As a cyclist , I love starting at the Stony Plain road entrance and speed cycling down the whole section since it's a downward path till you get to …

Neil Crouse

Good scooter ride threw the valley, trees are amazing this time of year. 0Only problem is it's nice and colorful for two weeks, then bare as .... for the rest of winter,..

Tymofiy Hawrysh

Quiet, picturesque scenes overlooking North Saskatchewan River.

Debbie Ha

Connects to government hill park. Great view of the river valley especially in the fall.

Jillybean C

Gorgeous scenery walking through the river valley

Kp Loo

One of best place to view Edmonton.

Lisa Kercher

The trail is packed gravel, and slopes gently down toward the river. Which makes for a heart-pumping climb out! There are a few access points, some with stairs, and one with a steeper incline. I would rate this trail technically easy, with moderate traits. Dogs are permitted on leash.

Henry Villamor (henner)

Awesome section of the rivervalley. Perfect for walks, even better for picnics. Two modes of access, you can go through Groat road and there is parking. You can also park close to 142 street. You can see downtown from the trail, and what looks like Wayne Gretzky's house looking up.

Graham Fortin

Beautiful area, and lots of great picture spots. Worked as a good spot to propose too (:

Santi Jim

Great park. Except for the grafitti :(

Mike Island

An Edmonton gem, a beautiful long path through nature that’s particularly beautiful when travelling towards the river in the morning.

Jonalie Barrozo

I love the view here????

Edgar Perez

Perfect place to spend an afternoon.

David Mackintosh

Beautiful long downhill swoop into the river valley -- as long as you don't mind the uphill return. Lots of trails and exits from the main paved path. If you're on a bike have a bell installed!

Kirk Dewhurst

Beautiful green space with a great walking trail. This park has no washroom facilities and no picnic benches. That being said it is a wonderful walk down the ravine that leads directly to the North Saskatchewan river. And then connects …

It is really peaceful place to visit. I enjoyed being there.

N and C Dekker

A beautiful way to get out with the kids and play in nature. We love nature walks, exploring various birds and wildlife on the trail... we enjoy the off the beaten path exploring that we can do!

Pat King

Good peaceful walking, quiet and full of birds, friendly people with dogs. A great place to unwind.

Gunnar Blodgett

A gentle downhill slope from 142 Street and Stony Plaon Road into the river valley west of the Groat Bridge, the MacKinnon Ravine connects easily to River Balley Road and not so easily to Buena Vista Park.

Brad S

Paved multi-use trails. Garbage cans available. Picnic table area by the river.

A Nelson

Lovely place to go for a walk or bike ride, no matter the weather. Nice paved paths are cleared in the winter, and wind along the path of the river. Picnic sites abound, with fire pits for barbecuing. Paths diverge up into the city a various points, so access is easy; from Groat Road, 132 st, 142st and 149th there are access points. Many places to dip into the woods on natural paths as well, some of which are fantastic for biking.

Sonia

Beautiful area with many walking trails. It's filled with a lot of natural beauty and perfect to take some wonderful pictures.

Rebecca Szoladi

Best view of the city! ????

Johnny Steez

When I die my name better be on a plaque down here somewhere. I spend that much time in this beautiful ravine park.
