Here you will be able to see the reviews of real people who know the products of Louise McKinney Riverfront Park (Tourist Attraction) in the territory of Edmonton (Canada).
As of day this business has a score of 4.5 stars over 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is nearly the highest, and it is based on a very high number of reviews, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tourist Attraction is classified in the category of City park.
Put a ballpark there, it would drive out the homeless
nice quiet place to walk or visit
Nice Chinese historical place
I recommend to visit Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, Edmonton, Alberta - Canada Time well spent with family and relatives . Outstanding North Saskatchewan river front . wild roses all over the garden ( The wild rose was designated the floral emblem of Alberta in 1930 ) Fabulous location Impressive
Beautiful scenery, excellent walking area by the North Saskatchewan River. One of the most beautiful parks in Edmonton.
The view was from the top of greison hill. Beautiful day in Edmonton river valley.
Lovely place in any season of year
So sad to see how much garbage is in there
Just a great place and paddle boat.
We went there just for the view, but we encountered a music festival, a lot of nice people, was pure fun!!!!!!
Great walking trail
Beautiful riverview with scenic paths and nice amenities
Beautiful place for a lovely stroll
Offers a big open space. Has different ways to access it. Beautiful views. Walking paths to the river and to Jasper Ave. There is a beautiful chinese gondola and zodiac sculptures. It's a good place for children and adults alike to enjoy, relax, play or hang out.
Lot's of fun, great B Day gift
Beautiful views
It was calming and relaxing .
Was visiting and got this Panorama around June 1st. Its a really nice park to walk
Paths are not connected due to construction. Lots of garbage and fencing around. Close to the homeless shelter so take care.
The tranquil Chinese Garden tucked away to the east end of the open grassed lawn just east of the parking lot is a beautiful sight to behold. A true hidden jam in Edmonton but well known for photographers and for wedding photo shots.
Beautiful area! It’s huge and very accessible. The only thing is to park nearby it is free but does have a 2 hour limit and the parking area isn’t too big so it’s best to come early. Tons of trails and so much to explore!
A gem of a park just a steps away from the heart of downtown Edmonton. Breathtaking views of the North Saskatchewan River and connected with walking/bicycle paths that take you on a rejuvenating journey through Edmonton's spectacular river valley. A great vantage point to view the annual Edmonton Dragon Boat festival and boat races!
Good spot for photography
New place to hang out. Beautiful design, great place to walk or jog.
Beautiful walk, good for that long walk you want to get in.
Very nice park
Beautiful
Great spot!
Love to go there in afternoon and just zone out..
Love the scenery there always had fun playing football on the nice grass
Nice walking area. There is also a Segway tours company and a coffee shop. Public restrooms are available. Parking can be a problem at times.
Lovely to wander
Saudi duo river valley trails! Great for walking, running, biking. Also off leash dog park!
It will be better when construction is done
A very beautiful and quiet place. Amazing view from there.
Beautiful views. Just dont wander into homelessville
An absolutely beautiful space in the river valley. Real treasure with decent free parking.
A great park for everyone from young kids to dog owners. I really enjoyed jogging here even in November.
Beautifull view
Steps, stairs, stairway, staircase, all words that come to mind. The construction of the Valley LRT line is disrupting this space, and It is not as easy to access. I like this place, you can learn how to Segway here. It was kind of scary cause there was a whole gang of like 8 segwayers. They slowly chased me and then I fell down the stairs to safety. Overall I enjoyed going here, it will never be the same because of the LRT. Advice: please only go alone during the day.
Construction going on at almost all of it
Actually really nice place to come down and do a photo shoot.
Nice walk during lunch break
Good place
Beautiful Chinese garden, beautiful park
Its not as nice as it used to be - before the construction, but still worth a visit
excellent place to enjoy nature among big city noise and jostling ppl...love to sit and listen to river noises and the animals..
Good place get a nice view of river and the city.
Really messy down there. The main little Lookout is so nice but when you enter the trails... let's just say I turned around and went somewhere else.
My son loves to visit this park every weekend!
Beautiful area. But still tons of construction after how long. Would be nicer without all the metal fences everywhere etc.
Nice area for a Good walk.
Nice, not much to see
Its a nice park, just really messed up by construction right now.
Nice walk by the river. Quiet and calm.
Fun park
When my ex came here to study as a postdoctoral fellow, I often came here to hang out by myself. Sometimes I came out at night to take pictures of car scenes. Even the night view of the city center on the other side of the river was photographed, and the reflection of the river water was in sharp contrast. The overall feeling of this place is that there are very few tourists, but there are still many places to play, Including this sightseeing yacht.
Great downtown green space with a Brewster view!
Really enjoyed the park great views but spoiled by the nearby construction.
Nice. Too bad the nearby ongoing construction makes it extremely difficult to get to, and enjoy this park.
I love the park, it's beautiful but I give it a 4 star rating as they're taking the footbridge down, it's unfortunate.
Great view of the Edmonton river valley!
Can't wait till it's finally fully finished, major changes are going on
Great park good stop on long boarding journeys in the river valley
Nice view, good construction , but no shadows and it's incomplete
Great looking little park, it has much potential. One problem though, it's over run by homeless people. I go through this park often enough. The homeless are kinda creepy.
Really nice Chinese place. Looks like there should be a castle or a mansion or at least it is a city gate. There is a small lawn nearby where you can spend some time to rest.
Great view of the river valley, segway tours, view of the river queen boat and the north Saskatchewan via a cement path
Beautiful park. Stunning views. Scenic Chinese garden. Nice paths. Lots of people walking and just enjoying a beautiful part of the river valley.
The park is nice, construction going on takes away from it a bit though.
My 2nd home! lolz the chill zone to hang out with friends at!
Great walkable paths, riverside walkways, fairly quiet, and a Chinese garden.
Great place to escape for an urban adventure
As it is winter there was not much to be seen but still a new place to visit to me
It will be a great park once the construction is done.
Riding my scooter by the riverfront and loving it
Lovely park to observe Edmonton’s finest sights.
Very nice parkland by the river to walk or cycle around
A great place to walk down the trails - stairs are optional as there is always a pathway around (very bike friendly).
Very wonderful park with so much shades for the sun.
Sometimes sketchy people hang out here. But it's very beautiful.
Beautiful place specially when it's start getting freeze
A great place for a walk or wedding photos. So much development here recently makes this a great place to discover.
Great place.
Calming
Really great view at night
Beautiful stripe of downtown green.
Beautiful park
Beautiful park with nice amenities.. Riverside walkplatform is relaxing with the view of Saskatchewan river... Will go again n again...
The views are amazing ????
A pain to get to on foot with a stroller. Beautiful layout, and nicely tucked away as a result. Good view.
Peaceful!!! Get lost here.
nice walk and good view of the river valley.
Exactly the kind of park Edmonton needs more of.
Place to relax and enjoy the view
This park has some hidden gems and once all the construction is done will be a great River Valley destination again
Great public park all year round.
Breathtakingly beautiful
I love the workout stairs here. I would tell people to go take a walk in the trails and see the Chinese garden. Great place to visit from time to time in summer
Good place with soothing river view. Right now a part of the park is inaccessible due to construction also it is somewhat noisy there due to machinery and dumpers, but that is temporary and will most probably become more beautiful within few months.
Was nice
Great city venue with a lot more than a simple look. Two great event now been held their in a year. Can’t wait to see the many more to come.
City has made a few improvements to the space, it's just a shame none of them get you to the water, only a view - but OH&S is life. This is a park for people that enjoy engineered spaces, so if you'd rather sit on a bench that lay on the grass, would rather wear sunscreen than feel the breeze. They could have also moved the funicular closer.
Love this park. Just gorgeous for a date
Beautiful and peaceful. And it has scenic views.
Great place to visit anytime of the year! During those beautiful sunny days of spring or summer! Walking by yourself or hand in hand with that special someone in your life! It's also nice to bring a camera to catch those special moments, during the year! Especially when the Fall months come, to the trees changing their seasonal colour's; to old man winter first appearing! And snow on the ground, & the River either frozen or in the process of freezing
Beautiful
Good place to take a walk and watch wildlife. Some paths are closed or messy due to the construction of the Tawatinâ Bridge.
Inaccessible due to long term construction. Very disappointed.
Spend most lunch hours here. Very relaxing
Its A Good Park.
Great park in the middle of downtown. During the day it can be very peacefull. Great for a quick walk or a place to read and enjoy the view. Some cons. Usually ....actually quite frequently bums drink here and can be bothersome. More police required to make this park enjoyable for all.
This is a beautiful park for a walk, picnic or doing a stair workout. Walking for all levels on paved paths. Very pretty lookouts.
A week ago. Road construction going on in many levels and most road closed off. Loved both the Chinese area and the Ukrainian stage with their monuments explaining about the goings on in that period of time. Loved the scenery of lawn, trees and the smell of the water, on that day was a light cool breeze for the dragon boat races
Cause it's beautiful lol
Good for family picnic. Bring your food from home.
If you love greens, water, open skies and solitude: BE HERE Keep good cool 2 hours at least, to soak in the ambiance and openness of the place, scenery with river in background and picturesque buildings of Hotel McDonald and Court Yard by Marriott on fore. Enjoy the slow glide from top of hill to middle and the drop off by elevator to bottom near river Saskatchewan, so serene and sober in flow and glow in afternoon sun(when I caught it) Juice up ur cell phone and be sure to clean the lens, other wise you will miss lot of clear-n-nice opportunities to click some of wonderful shots. Dare to go down a bit on un treaded path down to N. Saskatchewan river, to be lap of Mother Nature. Sing along, alone and aloud if u wish!! I did it, you will enjoy ????, I bet! Have fun, and if you feel gud please like the review❤️
Great place for a an outdoor workout.
Beautiful park can't wait to go back in the summer
Great place to walk, but right now it's a good place to go to and visit. Not much of a trail system here right now because of the construction going on.
Nice place to unwind
Very nice and peaceful place
The view was fantastic
Quite a beautiful picturesque area four a walk when in Edmonton
Very nice park with lots of benches, a cool pagota, Chinese statues of lions, and great river valley views. Just don't be surprised to see drunken vagrants hanging out since the park is just off a non desirable part of jasper ave.
Great for evening walk.
It's beautiful. There are multiple levels. Great views. The Chinese-themed pavilion is also super cool.
It was a beautiful environment.. hell of a place..
Recall a great place to be. We were actually headed to the accidental beach but this park caught us for the evening and it has a decent sitting space by the stairs and also a beautiful viewpoint ledge from where you can get a good view of the city on the other side of the river and see the downtown buildings on your back rising up so high. After the viewpoint we had a walk along the Greenery surrounded essay in the park alongside the river and it was really nice. It has washrooms too so no problems whatsoever!!
Great place to go Segwaying!
One of the most beautiful parks in the world .
This is such a beautiful place to for family’s to come and enjoy time together. There is so much to see here and amazing details wherever you look. Take some time to really appreciate everything that is going on around here. I can’t wait for summer to come back so we can come back for a picnic and enjoy it all over again.
Clean there is a guy (me)with hand sanitizer and the same guy is cleaning the cans it's a good bathroom
Excellent location and view
Great riverside park with a beautiful walk right beside the river. There is a Chinese garden area. Free parking spots. It is easily accessible from downtown by way of the Funicular even if you are in a wheelchair. There are public washrooms available. You can rent Segways and bicycles for rent at River Valley Adventures Overall it is a nice park right close to downtown with lots of walking paths and great views. We come here often and always enjoy it. You might even see a Garter snake
Not bad but too much hoods from the shaw conference centre
One of the best spots in Edmonton to visit the River Valley! Absolutely worth a visit if you're a long time resident in the city!
It is easily accessible, with elevators for those that need them. The views of the N. Saskatchewan River Valley are great. The Chinese themed park has buildings, statues and other features that reflect the large contributions of the Chinese workers and settlers from Edmontons beginnings to the present day. There are parking lots in the valley, or it can be accessed from the top by trails in the area of 97 St. and Jasper Ave.
Awesome place for walks while enjoying River Valley view
It's beautiful. There are multiple levels. Great views. The Chinese-themed pavilion is also super cool.
Ok
Area has been upgraded, pretty nice for walking, free parking, still waiting to try out the new dock
Lovely
Peacefull. Places to sit and chill
Looks like a good place for walking dogs having lunch
It was perfect for walking and roads well directed
Had a really nice walk
nice view
Nice place to have a walk
Really great. Want to go again. Very nice view of river. 5/5 stars.
Being under construction takes away from the serenity but it is still a very tranquil place and a great outdoor space .
Nice but seedy people all over
This is a beautiful place to visit when you are in Edmonton
The new funicular does make getting out of the river valley easier, whether walking or cycling. The views are especially lovely. It would be nice if there was actually a bike path/lane/legal route that lead to & from the top entrance of the funicular and a street in Edmonton. Any street.
Getting better every year
Amazing place to go walking.
This seems like a forgotten little park, isolated by the Shaw parking lots, Grieson Road, and LRT construction. Went on a beautiful but windy Sunday afternoon. Very few people. I really liked the Chinese gardens. Beautiful and well maintained. Read that this was phase 1, opened in 2007. When is phase 2 coming? The Shumka stage looks like a nice venue. Need to keep an eye and check it out during an event. The park is above the Dragon Boat festival races, so I suspect that it isn't a sleepy park during that time.
Nice walking area.
Its Beautiful my Brother and his wife got there wedding pictures done there I was a Bridesmaid
This place is what you're looking for if you plan to go strolling around downtown to experince nature and enjoy the view of the beautiful North Saskatchewan River.
Fantastic park. Great views, great fun. Lots to do. Highly recommended.
Such a beautiful park. I'm part of a fellowship with the NA group and we have meetings lately on the pad there where it just provides the best environment ever.
Great park that I had missed so many times. Chinese area is actually quite beautiful and great for picnics.
The view
lots of people for a public park. crowded. please stay home.
Beautiful place to go for a run/ride/walk. Or do some cross country skiing
Awesome entry point into Edmonton’s river valley. Walk down the steps of the convention centre, or take the funicular. Louise McKinney Park plays host to events, festivals, and major attractions year round.
The most beautiful place in the city.. My kids and I love it.
Too many homeless idiots ruining a great experience
Beautiful easy walk and good for bikes.
Beautiful views especially in summer
You don't want to go there. You might get beat up by Edmonton Police.
Nice quiet park by the river, not usually very many people here.
Great trail, especially enjoyable during the daylight hours thanks to all the shaded paths.
Always nice place to drive by or walk through bike thru... skateboard whatever lol
Beautiful spot with great paths, views and sitting areas
Good day for some fattening cake and a relaxing in the grass.
So nice for a fall walk
Nice place to enjoy with friends.
Great place, wish there where more tree's though
Great to walk in the park.
Very nice and beautiful view. Awesome experience. Had fun and clicked lots of pictures. Great place to hangout peacefully with friends and family and amazing location for quick short picnic. Will recommend this place to anyone for a good nice time.
Great view and beautiful roads
Quite a beautiful park
The best green space I've seen in downtown urbanization. Loved it.
Cute little park by the river, expect Icey walkways
Once the bridge is finished this park will blossom again
It's a very nice trail for an afternoon walk. The sun may be a little bit annoying if walking to the west.
Really nice downtown park. They should really be doing more events here. The riverfront walk is good. A well-maintained place for people to visit. I believe there are plans to upgrade the amenities. Segway and bike rental nearby. Cafe/restaurant near as well.
Lovely spot lots of parking.
Really good
One of the premier parks in all of Edmonton, I would show people from out of town this park, it's that beautiful
Very beautiful. Beautiful sitting , trails and river. Except the washrooms. There should be more washrooms built especially for physically challenged. Should have key system. Need a security 24/7.
Nice riverside park. Will be way better once all the construction is done as well.
We had a great time on the Edmonton Queen last night Sunday July 1, 2018 especially when we parked by the new Walterdale Bridge and watched the fireworks at 11pm for Canada Day celebrations.
Beautiful peaceful place to relax and hangout.
It is a nice space that we pass through while going for a walk.
We droped the ball on our homeless EdmontonIan's.????But would really enjoy the opportunity to volunteer for a clean up.
Great place to relax and have a morning coffee or an evening tea.
Nice water front palace really nice
Fantastic
Very pleasant evening! Was peaceful and quiet. In line with the nature.
Very cool area for a festival, be back again for the reggae fest next year!
Nice and Quiet park my kids loved it.
Beautiful place to sit and knit. Lovely walking paths.
Marred by eternal construction, this park has been closed for half the time it has existed.
I love it because of marvellous view of river.
This park is part of Edmonton's river valley trail and is truly a hidden gem. It is not far from the Frederick G. Todd lookout and the 100 Street Funicular. There is also a lovely Chinese Garden located there.
Nice riverfront park..
Always a nice park and access to some of the trails.
Got to ride in a driverless vehicle. Also got to drive a new Nissan pickup truck. Got free hamburger. Who is Festival day for the Grey Cup in Edmonton.
So beautiful must go there. It was nice walking trail.
Nice place with great view once construction is done on the tunnel and bridge
To many people.
It was beautiful place very peaceful
Beautiful view of the river. Nice trails. Little store with segway rentals and public washrooms. Don't forget your mask for the bathroom though.
Was the last run of the Queen Mary for the year. Had a wonderful time.
A beautiful part of the river valley for a leisurely walk. Head west and try the funicular and get up to the Hotel Macdonald.
Great experience without pressure. Found what we liked and was very happy with the service. Thank you
Too dangerous. I ended up calling police when two guys ripped a friend off and the one had a machete. Lots of people go there to get intoxicated but just not a safe place to visit. Lots of homeless people.
Gorgeous views, beautiful areas and paths to walk and to bike. Very green.
With the addition of the funicular the park is way more accessible. The waterfront is beautiful, is a good place to go for a jog or a walk with the family.
Very scenic with lots of benches and trails
The people came through and so did the vibes. Music was hotttt and the food was hotter
Parking is marked "private," with no mention of hours. Only a few 2-hour spots. Park itself is lovely.
Jamdown reggae salute music Festival was great here
Always beautiful but the bridge construction temporarily impacts travel along river bank. Be prepared for stairs to get to the detour north of the park.
Very nice park with trails.
A great riverfront park in the downtown core, just below the shaw conference center. It will soon have top of bank access once the funicular lift system is completed.
nice calm park
A lovely place for a lazy Sunday :)
Beautiful place for a walk
Gorgeous park with lots of cool people.
Today's BMX event is 100 times better when it is held at hawerlak park. I dont know who in there right mind thought it would be a good idea to hold the event here. Very poor choice
Looking forward to when construction is done, right now its gorgeous
Beautiful location. Every opportunity is given to improve the area. Great area to be next to the river
very nice location would be better if there is play ground near by
Very cool with the paved walk way's and park land scaping.
If you love nature and being outside then you gotta here and smell the lavenders and enjoy the spacious space and quietness next to the river valley
Great place to relax and wedding photos.
Nice park. Kept well clean and now construction might be annoying
Nice little get away in the city.
Nice area to go for a walk!
Very good
Awesome
My dream started from here!
Beautiful view you just need to avoid the homeless
Beautiful place
A good place to enjoy. Wheelchair accessible parking.
Stunning views on a warm autumnal day
Great to see poetry still on the light poles. Nice place for al fresco lunch; much quieter than other Edmonton parks on a sunny Sunday.
Stairs are closed, pedestrian bridge is out of service... No point going there anymore
Nice place for a quick walk after a long work day in the city, especially this time of the year. 4 stars because it does not have public washroom.
Great walk ,accessible to the river valley trail system you can walk or bike all day
Such a peaceful place to do yoga ????♀️
Hung out with friends took the dogs for a walk good times for all.
I love anything that's Chinese I love oriental places or things. Just send an oriental car or any kind of vehicle. Lol
It was a very beautiful experience and quite calming
This is a beautiful place I ever visited. ????
Nice spot to have a meal on the picnic tables. Good view of the river. Right in downtown.
Absolutely beautiful area. You can get some amazing shots from your camera if you walk around here for a bit.
It's a beautiful bike ride, lots of construction right now, but it will get better when they complete
Great park but hard to get to and very little parking.
Wanted me to pay 12$ for parking. Since when do you have to pay for parking at a City of Edmonton park?
Very neat area in the city. It's a fun place.
This was a good park mabey put a few more washrooms nearby
Beautiful scenery
Very nice place
Nice place and enough parking space
Getting better and better each year, as more construction is done. The funicular and elevator allow everyone access to Edmonton's number one tourist attraction, it's magnificent river valley.
Beautiful view of the Edmonton river valley, lots of access to hiking/biking/walking trails here .
We enjoy this park and its grass, trails etc. Sad to not have public washrooms during Covid since it seems less hygienic knowing that Nature still calls everybody coming here.
Nice place to take a break
Nice spot for a picnic and for a nature walk
Nice place to walk a little bit and learning about how Edmonton growing up until today
Nice view good exercise enjoys too!
Had nice hiking trails and a great view of the North Saskatchewan River. Great place to kayak or spend the day at definitely recommend coming here with the family.
Gorgeous little park area at the river front. There are plenty of benches to sit on and there is a lot of area to be socially distant. One of my favorite places to enjoy the scenery.
Fun place to visit and camp out.
It was so Dope that I can scarcely elucidate as to how Dope it actually was.... ????
Great place for a stroll or bike ride!
Beautiful, but no garbage cans and the connection to the bike trail is not great due to the adjacent bridge construction.
Absolutely gorgeous in the summer months!! Nice parkland close to downtown
Changing the skyline to Downtown river valley... TAWATINA LRT VALLEY LINE 2020
Nice riverfront. Once T bridge construction is done it will be much better.
Cool park for getting together
Good location to walk around the river valley and free parking
A beautiful park, nice place to go on a lunch break. Parking can be hard depending on the time of year and what's going on at Edmonton Conference Centre.
Even though construction it's very peaceful and Seren
Riverfront of North Saskatchewan River going through the heart of Edmonton... A blend new way to roll around Edmonton....
